The Middle Class

Between dire straits and meager existence,
There are those who insist...
They represent the middle class.
And doing the best they can to make ends meet,
While that gap is widening fast.

Exhausted from swimming in debts and credit.
And unable to afford the keeping up of appearances.
Although they support those standards they value...
Those that have given up such tasks,
Can not convince them their beliefs have been trashed.

They represent the middle class.
And as they hold onto dreams quickly slipping away,
Deluded they remain that changes made aren't here to stay.

And even though the sight of this continues to be sad,
Few are heard left to brag about what they own...
That others do not have.

Today...
Those struggling to maintain their middle class status,
Have one thing in common with those who are poor...
Wishing they had just a few dollars more!

A Fool's Litany

When a youth they said I was uncouth, but they were wrong about me.
The world was in error as I could plainly see.
When I disagreed I did not heed whether friend, teacher or such.
I knew more than they in every way. I was better by so much.

Now I'm an adult and richer than all those poor, useless fools
Who make up a stagnant middle class where no one rules.
I seek more money so I and others in my chosen class
Can transform these non producers into a pile of broken glass.
Only then will this country regain the power it needs;
Rules not from middle class fools, but a selected, special breed.

That constant sound
beating in the hearts
of every human being
every bird trilling
every woodpecker quietly drilling

The hearts of Oklahoma from

to every soul driven to Oklahoma from
the Trail of Tears
is now melting the icebergs of hate
created by Senators Inhofe and Coburn,
two senators
who sponsored the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act
... which criminalizes peaceful protest

They represent the dragging foot of Oklahoma,
those unconscious souls who made the state
the last to ban cockfighting in the US

Why is Oklahoma a tornado state?
Because wherever animal slaughter is concentrated,
ecological disasters follow.

There's a very big gulf between the black civil rights leadership in America and the black middle class in America. The black middle class are conservative. Many of those minorities can be persuaded to be members of the Republican Party.

If anything, taxes for the lower and middle class and maybe even the upper middle class should even probably be cut further. But I think that people at the high end - people like myself - should be paying a lot more in taxes. We have it better than we've ever had it.

Hi i'm a girl who wants to be presedent then i'll make people paint there faces pink because the red cheif wants me to and i really need your vote! ! ! ! Ok dalpal, said the teacher looking at me 'your not president yet....' 'ok i said' i mumbred 'i wish she was dead because i'm a poet and she dinny know it i can break a ryme almost everytime and........''QUITE DALPAL! ' Roared the teacher. Sorry but i have a dream....i am floating down the stream and i am ryming my heart out BUT YOU HAVE TO RUNE IT AND SHOUT! i shouted! 'ok dalpal then you can be our new teacher miss.Honey' said the teacher raising her eyebrows. 'i was not ashamed i was quite exited to share mt poems with the class' so i mad my was up the top of my class and said ' if this is this and that is that then you and you = me and me you see. The class stared and thought then i could hear the aaaaawww! They still never knew what i was talking about so i contiued.' the Teacher were cross and me ed fell off thats called london English oh if only there was a thig calle dsinglish and....'OK WELL DONE YOU'V MANAGED TO CONFUZE MY CLASS'said the teacher SO THERE I'V OUT SMATRNED HER and i'ma peot and know she knows it!
