As my dad said, you have an obligation to leave the world better than how you found it. And he also reminded us to be givers in this life, and not takers.

Givers Takers
life is full of givers
stealers of life takers...
givers give to all races
takers take leave empty spaces...
it is impossible to give to compulsive takers
takers never satisfied with deleting happy faces...

givers give to all races...
stealers of life takers
takers take leave empty spaces...

In These Days of The Takers
Why is it,
That 'some' people...
Can accept hospitality from others.
Wine and dine at their expense.
Yet thoughtless about time that is spent.
And have no regard,
For those who do the hosting?
Or 'show' hints of appreciation.
Why is it,
'Some' people...
Believe it is okay to dropp by unannounce.
Pronounce themselves as being grateful.
And turn around and cuss those out!
Those that had just opened the door to their house?
Even a mouse tries to hide,
From a surprising unexpected appearance.
Showing more 'class' than these folks do!
These chapters lived,
And depicting those who are givers...
Seem to be more common,
In these days of the takers who fake integrity.
In these days of the takers,
Who consume without remorse.
Choose to leave behind disrespect...
And reasons FROM THEM,
Many have chosen to divorce.
And of course,
Those who have been defamed without shame...
Are blamed for not being further used!
With a debasing done by the ones who slander.
In these days of the takers,
Expectations they have are quite high!

Walk Your Own Road
Theres doers and donters and I wills and wontersd
And them, that dont even try
Givers and takers, movers and shakers
And them that are just passing by
Skidrows and winos and some folks that I know
That dont do like I think they should
I thought they were livin their lifes all wrong
Long, before I understood
We all have to walk our own road
We cant always go where were told
In the end where itll end up - the lord only knows
But we all have to walk our own road
Ive had some good times and Ive had a good life
And Ive had things goin my way
Ive walked the highground and treasures that Ive found
An women who brightened my day
Then there were times I was caught in the crosswinds
With life - goin round and around
Like a ship with no sail I was caught in a gale
Til I finly just ran it a-ground

A Strange Arrangement Of Colour
A strange arrangement of colours
You found your feet where you put her
I'm after you, you're after me
The things that we say, the things that we see
We've got to be reminded, Where did you go?
And what did you see, when you were there?
What did you leave? leave? leave? leave?
The light that is reflected
The times that you rejected
Your after me, I'm after you,
The things that we say
The things that we do
We've got to be good looking
Where did you go? And what did you see,
When you were there?
What did you leave? leave? leave? leave?
A lie that is rejected
A time that we reflected
I'm after you, you're after me
The things that we say, the things that we see
We've got to be reminded, Where did you go?
And what did you see, when you were there?
What did you leave? leave? leave? leave?

The Givers
Snip it.
What complaint would you have,
IF you had a heart that gave?
Quit it?
You are just part of this experience,
Life!
It is not about you or your whims!
The givers receive no attention at all.
And there you are falling down with tantrums!
Going ignored are your calls.
Snip it quick.
Shut your lips.
No tree grows from a branch.
When a leaf is released from it,
It dies, to wither and rust from its visit.
Connected are we all to this,
Life!
All your needs could be met...
IF your greed did not set things,
Off balance.
With needs you only feed.
One day you will learn,
All your suffering has been well earned...
By you!
Feeling screwed by the things you do?
You wouldn't feel this way,
IF you lived each day to 'give'!
You look for ways to take, use and squander!
That's why you wonder and wander...
Seeking to reap from life what is good!
What have you done?
Are you looking for ways to give to anyone?
Or are you here just to take?
Well...
Take this!
Shut your lips,
And learn what it is to give!
And all that this life is,
Can be yours.
You will receive what is deserved.
The givers serve without a mumbling word!
And all that is heard from you...
Are offers to undo what is done.
Takers get back,
That which has been given...
And comes to them in abundance!
A rusting of a nothingness achieved.
Leaving them with the results,
Of their selfish and hoarded greed.

Who is obligated?
Obligated to take care,
Obligated to spare,
Obligated to be awake,
Obligated to sacrifice,
Obligated to worry,
Obligated to keep smile,
Obligated for life,
Obligated for the name,
Obligated for giving birth,
Obligated for the initial,
Obligated with responsibilities.
What obligation do they have,
When they disown them?
What obligation do they have,
when they abandon them?
What obligation do they have,
when they torture them?
What obligation do they have,
when they walk over them?
What obligation do human have,
when they are alone?

Walk Our Own Road (feat. Kris Kristofferson)

No Reaction
What do we want, we are going to be the winners or the losers?
And who do we hear, do we listen to the beggars or the choosers?
Were getting no reaction
We havent heard a word
Youre almost (but not quite)
More than we deserve
So what do we want, are we going to be the does or the talkers?
And where do we go, can we separate the runners from the walkers?
So what do we do, do we want to be the givers or the takers?
And who do we hear, do we listen to the movers or the makers?
So so what do we want, who do we hear?
Where do we go and what can we do?
And what would you say if it was all up to you?

Corruption
A pretty girl entices all,
Traps them in her beauty,
In no time in love they fall,
Forgetting their way and duty.
They commit sin, but at last find,
The cruel witch has made them blind.
Their sin’s made them paralysed,
They can’t work without bribe,
Plight of every field is realised,
Takers of it are givers too, scribe,
This epidemic is increasing day by day,
It may end if whole system is changed someday

If I Ever Leave This World Alive
If I ever leave this world alive
I'll thank for all the things you did in my life
If I ever leave this world alive
I'll come back down and sit beside your
feet tonight
Wherever I am you'll always be
More than just a memory
If I ever leave this world alive
If I ever leave this world alive
I'll take on all the sadness
That I left behind
If I ever leave this world alive
The madness that you feel will soon subside
So in a word don't shed a tear
I'll be here when it all gets weird
If I ever leave this world alive
So when in doubt just call my name
Just before you go insane
If I ever leave this world
Hey I may never leave this world
But if I ever leave this world alive
She says I'm okay; I'm alright

Had Enough
Ive had enough of bein nice
Ive had enough of right and wrong
Ive had enough of tryin to love my brother
Ive had enough of bein good
And doin everything like Im told I should
If you need a lover, youd better find another
Life is for the living
Takers never giving
Suspicion takes the place of trust
My love is turning into lust
If you get on the wrong side of me you better run for cover
Ive had enough of bein trodden on
My passive days are gonna be long gone
If you slap one cheek, well, I aint gonna turn the other
Life is for the living
Takers never giving
Fooling no one but ourselves
Good is dying
Here comes the end
Here comes the end of the world
Im gettin sick of this universe
Aint gonna get better; its gonna get worse
And the worlds gonna sink with the weight of the human race
Hate and fear in every face
Im gettin ready and Ive packed my case
If you find somewhere better, can you save my place?
Fooling no one but ourselves
Love is dying
Here comes the end
Here comes the end
Here comes the end of the world

Tainted Obligation
I saw the shoals at night, with the moon above.
I felt an obligation, and heard your voice again.
If you were here once, you were here a hundred times.
If I reached out tonight, I found I couldn't fight it.
If you were here once, you were here a hundred times.
Ohhhhhh
Best as a wishing star, I saw you better far away,
and I felt obligation, and heard your voice again.
Hear the rush of water, passing over the shoals.
Hear my heartbeat rather, if I reached out tonight.
If I reach out tonight and find I can't fight it,
and look to the stars, and wander towards a
heartfelt obligation, a place that you called home
and heard your voice again, but it's too late.
You left long ago, and now you're probably dead and gone,
and I'm left here with the water and the shoals and a tainted obligation.
Ohhhhhh

It is the aim of public life to arrange that all forms of power are entrusted, so far as possible, to men who effectively consent to be bound by the obligation towards all human beings which lies upon everyone, and who understand the obligation. Law is the quality of the permanent provisions for making this aim effective.
