National markets are held together by shared values and confidence in certain minimum standards. But in the new global market, people do not yet have that confidence.

The unhappy legacies of authoritarianism can be removed only if the concept of absolute power as the basis of government is replaced by the concept of confidence as the mainspring of political authority: the confidence of the people in their right and ability to decide the destiny of their nation, mutual confidence between the people and their leaders and, most important of all, confidence in the principles of justice, liberty and human rights.

Confidence
(words & music by tepper - bennett)
When everyone thought the world was flat
Columbus said its round
He went down in history
And america was found
cause
He had confidence
A little thing called confidence
Theres no job too immense when youve got
Confidence
With a c and an o and an n and an f
And an I and a d and an ence
Put em all together and what have you got
Confidence
Youll be surprised what you can do
If you will only try
Remember the tortoise and the hare
Who had that famous race
The speedy hare wound up nowhere
And slow poke took first place
cause
He had confidence
A little thing called confidence
Theres no job too immense when youve got
Confidence
Youll be surprised what you can do
If you will only try
How do you know that you cant ride a rainbow in the sky
Youll be surprised what you can do
If you will only try
All you need is confidence
A little thing called confidence
Theres no job too immense when youve got
Confidence
With a c and an o and an n and an f
And an I and a d and an ence
Put em all together and what have you got
Confidence

Remember Struggles From The Bottom
Pick up those feet and leap!
Believe you can conquer,
Over obstacles to defeat.
With a beating done to erase and cease.
Remember struggles from the bottom.
Know what was done to step away from it.
Never settle for the minimum.
And,
Resist to have your confidence dismissed.
Remember struggles from the bottom.
And
Resist to have your confidence dismissed.
Know what was done to keep your dreams focused.
Remember struggles from the bottom.
Know what was done to step away from it.
Never settle for the minimum.
And,
Resist to have your confidence dismissed.
Resist to have your confidence dismissed.
Remember struggles from the bottom.
With a boosted confidence.
Remember struggles from the bottom.
With a boosted confidence.
Remember struggles from the bottom.
With a boosted confidence.
Remember struggles from the bottom.

Be it a potted pant
One may draw confidence
From the robe or crown he wears.
One may draw confidence
From the skin he possesses.
One may boast with confidence
From the connection he has.
Confidence grows to pride,
Pride, to conceit and conceit,
To vanity or atrocity.
Be confidence a potted plant.

The things a man has to have are hope and confidence in himself against odds, and sometimes he needs somebody, his pal or his mother or his wife or God, to give him that confidence. He's got to have some inner standards worth fighting for or there won't be any way to bring him into conflict. And he must be ready to choose death before dishonor without making too much song and dance about it. That's all there is to it.

Confidence | Words of Wisdom
Don’t mistake power for confidence
You’ll never never like how it ends
Take your stance and understand
Confidence is the greatest tool
Confidence is power that’s my first rule
Now weapons aren’t that sharp even from the start
But confidence is evident etched with in your brain
Confidence is sharper than any razor blade
Individuality is a packaged deal
You’ve got to trust yourself and know yourself for real
Now trying to control ain’t gonna work
Power is a tool that’s broke
Too much effort, too much mess,
Leaving a trail of broken heart and broken glass
So there’s my proof I say it with confidence

These are Values and Standards Kept Within
Deliberate and scheduled maintenance,
Prevents foundations from becoming weak.
Boosts and bolsters securities monitored
And reflects a respect given.
Twenty four hours,
Each and every day each week.
A pride is shown!
With a discipline that seems to be attached,
To unquestioned competence.
A strength beams to gleam in a constant glow.
And support of it is given, bestowed and not hidden.
As if understood and unmistakably comprehended.
These are Values and Standards Kept Within
These are values and standards,
Kept within.
Kept within.
Kept within.
These are values and standards,
Kept within.
Kept within.
Kept within.

Crushed By Invitation
Stunted!
And prepared,
To sink in quicksand.
A rescue sent,
Has been aborted.
Left unaddressed...
Are values gone.
But held as assets!
Held as standards,
Long rusted.
To leave dust and mistrust.
Burning in bitterness.
Yearning just to lust.
Timid without guts.
Busted and medicated.
Screaming with demands.
Ignoring helping hands that come!
Stunted!
And prepared,
To sink in quicksand.
A rescue sent,
Has been aborted.
Left unaddressed...
Are values gone.
But held as assets!
Held as standards,
Long rusted.
Mistrust weighs upon their fate.
No escape awaits.
Burning in bitterness shared.
Drowning in sorrows.
Crushed by invitation!
And hushed!

'If you have no confidence in self,
you are twice defeated in the race of life.
With confidence,
you have won even before you have started.'

Inefficient World Food Production Distribution
food waste
one country
say old Italy
800 million tonnes
of fruit picked sold
from fruit trees
750 million tonnes
left to rot
never picked
every year
market price
market fixed
market profit
not worth picking
costs more picking
than sold price paid
what a waste?
millions die wanting
millions die starving
millions die hurting
in an inefficient world?
now it is raining
luxury fruits
cherries peaches
blemish on trees
never sold
never eaten
never saves lives
harvest
process
serves
still in old Italy
20 million tones
spoils to market
more money paid
waste paid collected
paid in dump charges
can we not do better?
Italy is but one country
waste in global community
sickens sweet bull commodity
in an electronic age
can we not do better
reduce waste food
shortage shame deficiencies?
China India hungry markets
2.5 billion people droughts floods
increasing phenomena purchases
on global markets now
are undermining food
global world prices now
world’s poorest farmers
are key to deficit farmers’ food
production improvement
efficiency management is key
rising food demand increases
on a waste finite land planet
time for think
tank
needed solutions?

Beauty is the ego’s food
Women, you don’t mind time and money,
In a bid to look good as long as you could,
And spend more on skin than for belly Why?
It gives you self-confidence.
You are in command of men.
Confidence brings you beauty.
Beauty brings you confidence
Both bring you youthfulness.Carry on.
