Creativity is much better when it's free. Someone can take it and sell it if that's what it needs, and from that standpoint, you have to have a label. If you could make your music and just give it away and somehow make a living - that would be the best scenario.

Scenario
Had enough of the old lonesome-and-blue scenario?
Up for a shot at the old I-love-you scenario?
Man enough to leave your comfort zone
in the good old get-drunk-and-screw scenario?
Let's be real. Love hurts. Even you, you stud, you.
Sure you can handle the old boo-hoo scenario?
Don't even try to guess what she really wants;
get ready for the old you-don't-have-a-clue scenario.
Tell her, "I'll always honor your personhood."
What's more of a drag than the old I'm-a-person-too scenario?
It's never not a good time to say, "My bad."
Don't lean too hard on the old I-never-knew scenario.
Caught in a little white lie? You're in deep shit
if you trapped yourself in the old I-swear-it's-true scenario.
Make sure she's down with each new trick in the sack
or you'll run smack into the old that's-taboo scenario.
Like what you're getting, but not sure she's The One?
You can string her along with the old don't-rock-the-canoe scenario,
but sooner or later it's gut-check time in Texas
and there's no way around the old we're-through scenario
unless you've got the cojones to suck it up
and go all in on the old I-do scenario.
Don't say Eric never told you: lovers
and poets live or die by the old make-it-new scenario.

Not A Label… Poem, Prose or Thesis
Go out and get a name for…you…
Yes! Feminist if you must…
But a name of your own…
It's not a label…it's freedom for you…
Your will…your perspective…
Your personal therapy…
Men fine you(Ooo…Ahhh)
When you act(Ooo..Ahhh)
But a MAN…fines you Ooo..Ahh
When you show him Oooo..Ahh
Not a label but a feminist for sure…
That is the Oooo and the Ahhh is allowing…
Him to fly…invited of course…ha..ha…
A certain kind of mind for you…
That certain kind of woman…
Not a label…just free will…
And empowerment of steel…
That is what a mom is…
The sun holds nothing new…
But you as woman do…
God bless Amerika…
My home sweet home…
Not a label…born to a Willie lynch stable…
But did not silence Mom's Mable…
Still can't say what need to said…
Females put it into dreads…
Walking tall…and being free…was about being …YOU
Not a label…But the queen of the queen of the day…
Before the day …Woman was born…
You do not have to be top-less
To be law-less…
A free minded woman is top-less in mind
And law-less with time…
Her respect is now…before you wake…
Not a label…but a fact…
Her word is law…
Re-move your paw…
No means, no…not yes…
And those things you call gold
Don't make you bold…
But me cold…
The game is getting…old..
I…AM…YOUR…QUEEN…
BOW…wow…I'm in your view…
Move aside…coming thought …

Got To Be Free
(malik pendelton/nicole johnson)
Ive got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free
Ive got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free
Long goodbyes, stolen glances
Cant explain all thats happened in our past
Im tired of creating lies to be alone
Im living wrong, were living wrong
More and more you make me
Afraid to come around
You take the pleasure out of being in love
And being down and down and down and down and down
For the one whos there for me
All I really want to be is free, yeah
Ive got to be free, got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free
Ive got to be free, got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free
You dont know why, havent got a clue
In the dark about why I am leaving you
You cant expect me to go on this way
No, I cannot stay, I will not stay
More and more you make me
Realize what I have home
Whats taboos exciting
But sometimes it just gets old
Sometimes it just gets old
For as long as I am me, boy
All I really want to be is free
Ive got to be free, got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free
Ive got to be free, got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free
Ive got to be free, got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free
Ive got to be free, got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free
Ive got to be free, got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free
Ive got to be free, got to be free
Gotta be, gotta be free

For The Love Of Him
When he opens the door and says I'm home
Be aware of the look in his eyes
They tell you the mood he's in
What kind of day its been
They'll be times where he wont say a word
And you'll wonder if its something you've said
A gentle touch of your hand
Will tell him you understand
For the love of him
Make him your reason for living
Give all the love you can give him
All the love you can
For the love of him
Make him your reason for living
Give all the love you can give him
All the love you can
He's a man and a man has to try
Let them run let them fall let them cry
His world wont fall apart
If you take him into your heart
For the love of him
Make him your reason for living
Give all the love you can give him
All the love you can
For the love of him
Make him your reason for living
Give all the love you can give him
All the love you can
He's a man and a man has to try
Let them run let them fall let them cry
His world wont fall apart
If you take him into your heart
For the love of him
Make him your reason for living
Give all the love you can give him
All the love you can
For the love of him
Make him your reason for living
Give all the love you can give him
All the love you can

Roots Of Creation
One two three four!
Pull up here honey, if ya got a pussy and
Shake your ass like your ready to sing
Well, something muy high
Something muy low
When me ready limo then they follow me home like a
Roots of creation
I am living in a boring nation
I pull up my hands and I look at my feet
The reggae music make me sound so sweet
Cause we play it morning evening and all of the day
It's the sweet kinda music makes me feel O.K.
The roots of creation
Said I am living in a plastic nation
I pull up my hat
My coat is so wide
Sometimes, sometimes I feel so high
But all the time I feel airie
I feel airie when I'm down with the scene called
Roots of creation
I am living in a plastic nation
One more time!
Well, pull up here honey like you got limbo
Well pull up your fingers like you're ready to go
Give me
Give me something high
Give me something slow
Give me something I can use
Give me something I can know
Your the body and the mind one
Part of soul or two
I feel a different person to be a different place
I'm living in a different place
Sometime I feel although its fin
Pull up your style make it sound so fine
With ah
Pull up hands with me
Roots of creation
I am living in a boring nation
A pull up sound with Mike Happoldt at my left
I got Eric at my right
We rock the reggae music every day and night
We rock the reggae music say it's right on time
Cause you're down with the music that they call Sublime
I'm living in a different nation
Reggae style again!
Gonna win me back gonna feel so fine
Bring me down to the place so right
We rock the music so late at night
With a guitar pick in my hand
What amounts to make me a man
Me help a little girl like this
Called the roots of creation
I am living in a plastic nation
I pull up my hand, left pocket
Do the music, make me say me feel it
Read me on rights and me know me are wrong
Me am a white boy but I sing a reggae song
Called roots of creation
I am living in a plastic nation
My hands are high
My ink is dry
My love for you, it will never die
Say me love you till me will testify
Me love the music make me feel so high
Song called roots of creation
I am living in a plastic nation
Oh in a plastic nation
Such a boring station... a boring
One more time!
Pull up here honey if you got limbo
Pull it up make it up bounce I don't want it to be slow
I wanna make it sound right
I wanna make it sound strong
Give me kind of music make you rock all night
Like a roots of creation
I am living in a boring nation
So cheer up my life
Cheer up my life
Take out the trouble
Take out take out the strife
Give me some music make it sound so nice
Give me kinda music make we wanna singa song twice
Like roots of creation
I am living in a plastic nation
I pull up my hand
My seat is wobbly
Pull up your hands and it sounds like this
Cause I like my beer dry
Drink the gin and the gin
Love the kinda drink ya know make me sick
Me don't feel no nice but likewise
Make me drink gin like wine twice
I only make me feel so sadder, aya!

Living On A Dream
Living on a dream
Sometimes
Make my day with a single touch
Make me stay, don't give up
I've no control when it comes to you
Make my day baby won't you
A single touch is all I need
Don't give up baby don't retreat
I've no defense when it comes to you
make my day baby won't you
(chorus)
I'm living on a dream
Or so it seems
Sometimes
Living on a dream
No milk, just cream
Sometimes bells chime
T-t-t-toe to toe
Cheek to cheek
You get close
And I get weak
Don't shoot me down with your baby blues
Make my day darling won't you
Your baby blues call my name
You won't hear my heart complain
Hang with me and we'll do the do
Make my day baby won't you

I Want To Break Free
Words and music by john deacon
I want to break free
I want to break free
I want to break free from your lies
Youre so self satisfied I dont need you
Ive got to break free
God knows God knows I want to break free
Ive fallen in love
Ive fallen in love for the first time
And this time I know its for real
Ive fallen in love yeah
God knows God knows Ive fallen in love
Its strange but its true
I cant get over the way you love me like you do
But I have to be sure
When I walk out that door
Oh how I want to be free baby
Oh how I want to be free
Oh how I want to break free
But life still goes on
I cant get used to living without living without
Living without you by my side
I dont want to live alone hey
God knows got to make it on my own
So baby cant you see

I want to break free yeah

Pure Music
Pure music tells no clichéd tale
concerning God or love or conquering sword;
it is composed in that fair higher scale
of consciousness where facts may be ignored.
Opera is music that’s adulterated
by literature we call scenario and libretto;
like music we should keep our feelings understated,
not trading them like merchants in a Venice ghetto.
Edmund White writes about the way he prefers to write to the accompaniment of music in the NYT, June 18,2001 (“Before as Rendezvous with the muse, First Select the Music”) . He writes:
Unlike fiction, music is not about mothers-in-law or failed marriages. Of course opera and ballet and program music can be narrative but only because they are adulterated by literature, the libretto or scenario.

Personally, I still don’t really know what progressive means. In some people’s minds if a piece of music is over 10 minutes long, it automatically gets the label of being progressive. I always enjoy playing arrangements kind of in a classical format, which is in movements. To me, music is either good or bad; it doesn’t matter what the label is. The kind of progressive label that I don’t like is the one that involves lyrics that quote dancing gnomes, Stonehenge and fairytales.

Free All The People
You got to free all the people in south africa...
You got to make life worth living in soweto
You got to free all the people in south africa
You got to make life worthwhile
Give reason to smile
Freedom is a birthright
Given by jah to man
You can not claim it...this you must understand
Who are you to decide...who has to give it up
Know it in your heart...that it's wrong
They've had enough
Chorus:
Slavery is brutal...it steals your identity
Wherever it's living...suffer humanity
What leads you to believe...you can treat people so
You know it isn't right...give up the fight
Let them go!
Chorus
It's not right...this hate for life you're teaching
No more fight...we're all in this together
You've lost sight...you'll never find what your
Soul is seeking
You...you abolish...apartheid

My dear music
Some music...
Make mad...
Some music
Make nice mood...
Some music...
Make happy...
Some music
To do dance...
Some music
Malking a sleep...
Some music
Killing sleep...
Some music
Making angry...
Music... is
Not only music...
Thear is all
But...
Nothing for all...!

Remember the Stax label and how if you liked one record, you liked all the others as well? You don't talk to a lot of people who tell you how much they love their record label. I don't care how many records they sell.

No Qualifications
Now he wanted to fly all those big aeroplanes
Trans-continental and back home again
But his brain, it was grounded
His head could not cope
No qualifications, no reasons for hope
They told him the right way to fasten his tie
Beat him for laughing and never said why
They left his for dead when the results came through
And still never asked what he wanted to do
No qualifications so late in the day
Weve screwed you up, well, now you make your own way
Now to label your trousers and label your shoes
If you dont wear nothing then label that too
No qualifications, you are the time born
If you wanna succeed you better get some qualifications
So late in the day
Weve screwed you up, well, now you make your own way

Living For Tomorrow
Music :rudolf schenker
Lyrics:klaus meine
Im still living for tomorrow
Im living for today
Lets make this world
A better place to live
Stop to take
Start to give
Loves got the power
To get it done
To stop the pain
Of a killing gun
And even if you say
Were gonna die today
Im still living for tomorrow
Im living for today
Cause love will find a way my friend
Whatever it will take
Im still living for tomorrow
Im living for today
Why dont we try today my friend
To make this world a better place
Lets make this life
A better life to live
Stop to hate
Learn to forgive
Evil power can kill
The human race
If we give life
A human face (a human face)
And even if you say
Were gonna die today
Im still living for tomorrow
Im living for toda
Cause love will find a way my friend
Whatever it will take
Im still living for tomorrow
Im living for today
Why dont we try today my friend
To make this world a better place (a better place)
And even if you say
Were gonna die today
Im still living for tomorrow
Im living for today
Cause love will find a way my friend
Whatever it will take
Im still living for tomorrow
Im living for today
Why dont we try today my friend
To make this world a better place
Im still living for tomorrow

It breaks my heart to see these young, really talented bands getting chewed up into the system. I remember a time if you'd signed to a major label it was such a sell out! But now... unless you've signed to a big label, you're a failure now.

Theres No Label In Me
I have no label,
I have a life to live,
I have a family that cares for me,
Why label yourself,
Why choose to be emo, goth, prep, or whatever,
Why,
Can you answer that yourself,
Can find the answers I seek in this poem,
I have no label,
I am me,
I have found me,
My life is a cycle,
It runs around in circles,
Theres no label in me,
Don't label yourself until you know what your are or who you are.

You Dont Own Me!
you cannot define me,
put me in a box.
you cannot restrain me,
cannot mold me, or shape me.
you cannot lead me,
for i will not follow!
you cannot make me
believe in your gods.
you cannot scare me,
cannot break me or make me.
you cannot buy or sell me,
cannot make me your slave.
you cannot tell me
who i am, and am not....
bottom line:
you dont have anything
i want or need....
you dont own me,
i am free!

Make Me
Tell me why after all this time is the light hiding in your eyes
Do I see promises never made or is it just a sweet surprise
(chorus)
Make me high ~ make me low
Make it stop or come on let the damn thing go
I am hanging on your heart
Make me love or fall apart
Come on make me
Talk to me tell me now tell me true
Tell me what you wanna do
Are we gonna go on one by one or do we go two by two
(chorus)
I need a place to lay my head
And take your wine onto my tongue
Pick me up and shake me shake me down
I need your heart to hear my song
Hold me now ~ see by me
Or let me go ~ open up your hand and set me free
Like a dandelion ~ like a hitcher on the wind
Set me free again set me free again
Set me free free free again
(chorus)
Make me fly ~ make me fall
Make me everything or make me nothing at all
I am hanging on your heart
Make me love or fall apart
Come on make me
