No one is so completely disenchanted with the world, or knows it so thoroughly, or is so utterly disgusted with it, that when it begins to smile upon him he does not become partially reconciled to it.

Salt For Your Wounds
There's a tear in my heart where the blood ran out.
There's a tear in my heart where the love ran out. I thought
we worked, pushed toward the same ends,
I'll never be so quick to trust again.
Disenchanted, disgusted, I regret that I trusted.
I put my faith.
My faith in you, you poisoned me through and through.
I though we both shared the same injuries.
Now I've found it's you who injures me.
My heart is cracked from being left out in the cold.
I know you'll pay for what you've taken - tenfold.
Disenchanted, disgusted, I regret that I trusted.
I put my faith.
My faith in them, they twisted the knife further in.

Smile At Me :)
Smile at me
that smile, that finds me in the crowd
The one that lights up the room
And makes the world not seem so loud
Smile at me
that smile, that dances upon your laughter
The one that settles into the charming grin
I always remember after
Smile at me
That smile, that always makes me smile
The one that’s completely contagious
And lasts a whole long while
Smile at me
That smile, when my world feels grey
That smile, that smile
The one that chases sorrows away
Even for a moment…
Won’t you smile at me that smile?
If only for a moment
Smile at me…

This World Over
Ah well, thats this world over
Ah well, next one begins
Will you smile like any mother
As you bathe your brand new twins?
Will you sing about the missiles
As you dry odd numbered limbs?
Ah well, thats this world over
Ah well, next one begins
Ah well, thats this world over
You sadly grin
Will you tell them about that far off and mythical land
About their leader with the famous face?
Will you tell them that the reason nothing ever grows
In the garden anymore
Because he wanted to win the craziest race
Thats this world over
Will you smile like any father
With your children on a sunday hike?
When you get to a sea of rubble
And they ask ''what was london like?
You tell them, ''ah well, thats the world over
Will you tell them about that far off and mythical land
And how a child to the virgin came?
Will you tell them that the reason why we murdered
Everything upon the surface of the world
So we can stand right up and say we did it in his name?
Thats this world over
Or so it seems
Thats this world over
The end of dreams
Thats this world over, over, over and out.

Find Your Smile
'Smile and the world smiles with you, ' so the saying goes,
where it came from, where it was born, no-one really knows.
But truth will out, where theres a smile because it is contagious,
be it just a little grin, or a smile completely outragious.
A smile come not just from the lips, for it does not then begile,
it comes from within your eyes, for it is there, you find a smile.
From the eyes of a small child, or from a face up in years,
a real smile stretches, yes, from both of your ears.
Some days though, to smile is very hard, if you have worries or trepidation,
it could be health, work of even costly inflation.
But for today, let those thoughts and worries drift far, far away,
help the world shine with your smile, and make it last all day.

Big Dumb Rocket
Ive never seen your breath before
But Im disgusted by the thought of
Waiting anymore
If I look up in your eyes
Will you notice me or
Fade into this accident
I dont want to find
The big dumb rocket on your mind
Its mostly you and mostly me
And a tired gun thats not empty
Ive never been this sad before
But Im disgusted by my fingertips
And what theyve done
If I look into your eyes
If it must be true you must believe
Ive never held such violent things
Ive never talked to God before tonight
But Im disgusted by...

Unprodigal Daughter
I had disengaged to avoid being totaled
I would run away and say good riddance, soon enough
I had grown disgusted by your small-minded ceiling
Imagine myself bolting had not been difficult
Soon be my life
Soon be my pace
Soon be my choice of which youll have no part of
Unprodigal daughter and Im heading for the west
Disenchanted daughter and this plane cannot fly fast enough
Unencumbered daughter hit the ground running at last
Id invite you but Im busy being unoppressed
I hit the ground running, although I know not what toward
I hit the town feeling, forgetting all that came before
I felt primed and ready, once surrounded by the pawns
I felt culture shocked, but dissuaded, I was not
This is my town
This is my voice
This is my taste of which youve have no part of
Unprodigal daughter and Im heading for the west
Disenchanted daughter and this plane cannot fly fast enough
Unencumbered daughter hit the ground running at last
Id invite you but Im busy being unoppressed
One day Ill saddle back and speak of foreign adventures
One day Ill double back and tell you about these unfettered years
One day Ill look back and feel something other than relieved
Glad that I left when I did before, I know you, you cant get the best of me
When Id speak of artistry you would roll your eyes skyward
When Id speak of spirituality you would label it absurd
When I spoke of possibility you would frown and shake your head
If I had stayed much longer, Id have surely imploded
These are my words
This is my house
These are my friends of which youve had no part
Unprodigal daughter and Im heading for the west
Disenchanted daughter and this plane cannot fly fast enough
Unencumbered daughter hit the ground running at last
Id invite you but Im busy being unoppressed
Unprodigal daughter and Im heading for the west
Disenchanted daughter and this plane cannot fly fast enough
Unencumbered daughter hit the ground running at last
Id invite you but Im busy being unoppressed

Lost in you
With solid tears and frozen fears
I stood in solitude, feeling no pain
Chilled breeze and icy storm
Penetrated my soul, but I was still strong
Winter passed, spring came
But I was still there, feeling the same
Then it was the summer and you came
Melting in your warm glance and sweet smile
Melting in your placid touch and tender kiss
I was lost
Initially lost
Partially lost
Then completely lost
Lost in you
The snowman melted by the sun…

No other job in the world could possibly dispossess one so completely as this job of teaching. You could stand all day in a laundry, for instance, still in possession of your mind. But this teaching utterly obliterates you. It cuts right into your being essentially, it takes over your spirit. It drags it out from where it would hide.

When the Pain Begun Begins to Mend
When the pain begun begins to mend,
The sky is brighter.
The clouds then start to drift.
The rain dries and the thunder stops.
When the pain begun begins to mend,
A freshness occurs.
The Sun invites a rendezvous.
Just to sit with it,
And feel...
A soothing come over you.
When the pain begun begins to mend,
And you are there...
Ready to be healed,
Feeling a once broken heart...
Being pieced back together,
Completely.
When the pain begun begins to mend,
You are prepared to forget.
Wanting to forgive.
And wishing to be forgiven.
When the pain begun begins to mend!

Your Smile...
Your smile…
Your smile…
No one can ever make me smile unless its your smile…
I cant seem to control my smile when ever I see your smile…
The thoughts of your smile makes me smile…
A smile soo beautiful… soo nice…
Just a simple smile of yours makes my day…
Its funny how such a smile can mean soo much…
When I’m down all it takes is your smile to make me whole…
Your smile makes my emotion screams in every way…
Your smile…
Your smile…
Your smile is the sunset in my world…
When your not smiling the world turns dark…
But when you smile my world brightens up…

Just Smile
Smile to the world
So, they can't see your pain
Smile to the world
To hide your tears
Smile to the world
Camouflage your turmoiled heart
Smile to the world
No questions asked
Smile to the world
Hide your scars
Smile to the world with affection
Just smile to brighten someone's world.

Please Smile
Smile for me today,
It’s a beautiful and breezy afternoon.
The breeze if blowing, all the grass are dancing, why shouldn’t you.
I want you to smile for me.
I want to see that beautiful smile.
I want to see those cheeks of yours run red with joy.
I want to see u jump with glee.
Most of all I want to see you smile.
Why don’t you smile for me?
All I want is one smile.
One smile that can help me get through my days of despair and hate
Without your smile there is no meaning of life.
With every frown u make my heart begins to break down.
With every dropp of tear u make, the ocean I must drain.
Can’t u smile for me?
I must know, am I not good enough for that one smile?

Just... Please Trust Me....
I'm sorry you don't trust me,
i wish,
i wish you could,
it hurts me to see you this way,
just trust me please just trust me,
i wont leave you,
i wont abandon you,
just trust me is all i ask.
I know you've been hurt before,
abandoned in all ways,
your spirit tells me of a story,
of much harder days,
i know its hard for you right now,
but i love you just the same,
i know your distrust was partially my fault,
and I'm partially to blame....but just...
Trust me,
because.i.
Love. you,
and there is nothing in this world,
that could change me,
you know how i do :)
So just trust me,
i wont let your words fall on deaf ears,
and i promise to keep you in my heart,
right here.
please....
just finally..
after all this time.....
please...
trust me....
