I tried out for another show while I was in college so I could pay off my student loans, and it sort of led to The Real World. The same people that were casting that show were casting The Real World, so they asked me to do it.

Casting A Spell
LA'-LA-E/LA-LA'-E'
Oi
Maria mondou me dizer
Maria mondou me dizer
Nao (eu) quero falar com voce
Oi
She's just testing her wings and if you give in to her, you'll be just another feather in her cap-she'll drop you in a flash.
She's casting a spell, she's casting a spell, well if she's casting a spell, I can castone as well.
So I said. "No, no, no, I ain't falling for this!
This girl is built to tease; she's only testing the efficiency of her kiss."
She's casting a spell.
Well, if she's casting a spell; I can cast one as well.
She wants to check out how you check out on her test-bed:
Will you get in her book or will you go right to her head?
She's casting a spell.
Well, if she's casting a spell; I can cast one as well.
And so, I cast it right back on her, don't you know my luck; she fell under the influence and then the thunder struck.
Now we're casting a spell, we're casting a spell-you can cast one as well!

Real Cool World
So far this love is delightful
The face of seduction was you
But I listened for each and every footstep
In this real cool world
Questioning saintlike and fantastic heroes
Feeling like lost little children in fabled lands
So I listen for each and every friendship
In this real cool world
Now there is you
In my real cool world
Starry-eyed life but somehow believing in nothing
You whisper sweet nothing but reading between your lines
I listen color me doubtful
In this real cool world
Now there is you
In my real cool world
You came from nowhere
You came from nowhere
You held me you shook me
Hey
Its a cool world
Its a cool world
Its a real cool world
Its a real cool world
Its a real cool world
Its a real cool world
Now there is you
In my real cool world
Now there is you
In my real cool world
Mmmm
Real cool world

Show Me The Real You
Hey remember me?
Hard to forget, right?
Insistent, demanding
When we were both sixteen
I remember you in the spotlight
You seemed so in control
Hiding behind your wall
Have you ever met somebody who could
Unmask you
The way you unmask me
Guidelines and sub-routines
You make me forget the things
That I put in place to save my face
But I'm not sure if it's a face worth saving
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression baby
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression, baby
Maybe, maybe, yeah
Seven years have past
Now here I come
I caught the briefest glimpse
I haven't seen it since
When you smile at me
Where'd you smile from
From insecurity
But you're secure with me
Have you never let somebody in to
Unmask you
The way you unmask me
I know it's dangerous
Please don't be afraid because
This is your life I used to live
Now I know It's not a life worth living
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression baby
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression, baby
Maybe, maybe, yeah
I know I'm acting stupid
Can we make a second first impression
I want us to be honest, open
Show your face to me
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression baby
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression, baby
Maybe, maybe, yeah

Real World
Days, times we will remember
When innocence was lost
We let our hearts move on
So many dreams we thought would last forever
Today it doesnt matter
All those dreams are gone, they are gone, oooh
Tell me how it feels again
Oh, show me that its real and then
Ill walk away, from my own reflection
The stranger that I knew
The stranger that was you
And now I face a cold return to sender
A truce but no surrender
A voice that wont ring true, where are you? oooh
I reach over the edge
And throw a penny in the wishing well
Its so deep that I can tell
That in the real world
Theres fewer stars in the sky
And in the real world
You can get hear children cry at night
This is the real world
There is no time, for a life of solitude
Only hunger and survival
In the world we were born into, were alone, oooh
And it brings me to my knees
Our father lay me down to sleep
Father please
Pray the lord my soul to keep
Keep us in the real world
Keep us in the real world
Dont have to tell you
In the real world
Theyll damn you if you try
In the real world
Let it begin with you and i
This is the real world
Theres fewer stars in the sky
This is the real world
You can get hear children cry at night
Now in the real world
Theyll damn you if you try
And in the real world
Let it begin with you and i
Living in the real world
Yeah, living in the real world

~Smile~
We all smile to show our happiness,
We use it a lot, Yes,
Smile can be fake or real,
Its used to show or hide how we feel,
Fake smile is shown when,
Pain in heart rises,
And real smile is shown when,
Unexpected happiness doubles in sizes,
Natural or Not,
But its better to show a real one on the spot,
Let us be honest,
the only time we show the real smile is when someone has touched our heart,
and when we show the fake smile,
is when someone has tear everything apart,
Yes we show our fake smile,
to show people that we are okay so they wont revile,
Its hard to put on a real one as your hurt,
And yes we try to heal it as we flirt,
Its time to face the fact,
Showing a fake smile is like showing a fake and stupid act,
Put every pain to the side and smile for now,
not for someone,
But for everyone,
and show it as we are endowed.

Fear Of The World
Theres so much panic in this world
But we are living in the best
Of all possible worlds
Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world
Deep inside of me
Well I got this wanderlust
Remember how we talked last night?
Well its just as we discussed
Ashes turn to ashes
Cash turns to dust
Theres no-one in this world right now
You think you can trust
No real bruises I can show
Travelling the world on the radio
No real scars I can display
Burning up tomorrow into yesterday
Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world
Deep inside of me
In the seat of my pants
Theres a pain as big and hard
As a civil disturbance
Conquer all your fears
Seize every chance
In the end make fear your friend
And change your circumstance
No real bruises I can show
Travelling the world on the radio
No real scars I can display
Burning up tomorrow into yesterday
Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world
Fear of the world
No fear, no fear of the world

Questions
How to start? What to say?
I don't remember ever feeling this way.
Can it be true? Does anyone care?
Is it only make-believe or are You really there?
Is there a chance I've been missing the best?
Could it be life is more than a guess?
I'm afraid to let go, yet I long to see.
If You are real, be real to me,
If You are real, be real to me.
Okay, supposing I were to come to You?
Not saying I will, just supposing I do?
Would I have to be, just another guy?
Two a penny's not for me, it just won't satisfy.
I'm just confused, by candles and prayers.
I just need to know, if You are there.
Show me the way, for I long to see.
If You are real, be real to me,
If You are real, be real to me.
I'm just confused, by candles and prayers.
I just need to know, if You are there.
Show me the way, for I long to see.
If You are real, be real to me,
If You are real, be real to me.

Lair Dream's
Sometimes, rich
sometimes, poor
sometimes, happy
and sometimes, sad,
we fell happy we fell sad
but what for?
its not the real world,
tried hard to grab this beautiful life
though its not the real world
it made me float like a bird,
in the blue world, without a fear to fall
and made me, laugh and cry with dead's.
but thy, not the real world
opened my eye's show the world,
vanished my rich and wonderful world.

Pell Grants
The USA has fallen behind in college graduates in many areas especially the sciences and technology. We need more kids with ability graduating from college and getting master degrees etc. Pell grants allow a young or older person who cannot afford a college education to get one. People pay the loans off by the percentage of wage they make at the time. This democratic benefit to the middle and lower classes would be dropped by Romney/Ryan and the republicans if they are elected.
The implication of this would be college is for the wealthy and the extremely gifted with scholarships or in sports. Is this fair? Is it right for a young person with an IQ of a hundred with rich parents to go to college and another child with an IQ of a 120 with parents that can't afford 20,000 dollars a semester not go? Is this the America that you want? I am not voting for people only but justice, equality and a real America with real opportunity for all not just the rich.

Real Life Living
Real life is walking back and dreaming
Real life is entering the picture and achieving
Real life is a fight
To fight with words for swords
And yes swords for words
Here are worlds of sores
This soaring world
Soaring low and high
Swirling to and fro
Mixing sky with dreams
Mixing eyes
Mixing creams with dyes and dies
Paints dripping and dried
Gripping pages grind
Gripping life as a vice death
And death is hate
And hates rest
We wrestle this world upon conception
'till death
And death and life are
Chasing tails
Life is real
While death is chasing tales
And death is really
A bugging issue
Real life realing death
Into sure casting fire
And dreams into life really
Killing death and real life living

Like you never do it
Like you never knew it
Ooh, Ill make it through
The time has come for me
To break out of the shell
I have to shout
That Im coming out
Im coming out
I want the world to know
Got to let it show
Im coming out

I got to let it show

I got to let it show
Ive got to show the world
All that I wanna be
And all my billities
Theres so much more to me
Somehow, I have to make them
Just understand
I got it well in hand
And, oh, how Ive planned
Im spreadin love
Theres no need to fear
And I just feel so glad

Crippled by Knowledge
The wayward way of thinking has always been: “Son, I want you to go to college, graduate with a degree so you will have the education to secure a well-paying job. You know back in my day, I was able to go to college, so I want to make sure you have every opportunity to! ”
The inevitable downfall: The rise in college tuition, along with the decrease in federal aid for working middle class families’, students and their parents are placed under enormous pressure in paying back mass amounts of student loan debt.
The vicious cycles remains: Parents could not afford college for themselves ' Parents want better for their kids ' Parents struggle daily and sacrifice their home, their livelihood to ensure their child will have the opportunity at a college education ' Casting a dark cloud over the excitement of their child’s graduation - Four years in a state school and one bachelors degree later ' Parents are faced with a $500 a month student loan payment ' Their son will begin paying on his portion of the loan next month.
The pleasures in being a working middle class family in today’s society. Parents who in the course of hard work and determination established careers with little to no higher education, providing and making the ends meet. Nevertheless, no tuition grants or federal aid for their hopeful first generation college student. “Son, we make too much money for you to qualify for grants. I know who would think a daily struggle is equivalent to making too much money. It is simply loans for us, and I'm not sure we can afford the $568 a month payment. I guess we will manage like we always have. I sure didn't foresee this worry and grief when I just wanted better for you.'
His son, an elementary school teacher in a low-socioeconomic urban school district has hopes that each and every child in his classroom will have the opportunity to pursue higher education. Thoughts of his monthly struggle on a state teacher’s salary to make ends meet and pay back his student loans, escape him every time he walks into the classroom full of young minds craving to learn.
The children we raise and educate today are the minds that will drive our society into the 21-century. Must you realize you are sacrificing the well-being our nation and placing the future of our society in jeopardy to only have history repeat itself. Senators, congressmen, lawyers and lobbyists almost certainly would not have had the opportunity to be where they are now without the support and devotion of their underpaid and overworked school teachers. Everyday leaders such as school teachers and their hard working families do not deserve the crippling burden of outrageous monthly student loan payments when the end goal is to simply further their education in order to influence and guide the society that will lead our nation’s future.
If educators take a primary role in being the driving force behind a society of accountable well-informed people; I can only help to wonder if serving in our nation’s military can pay back student loans, why can’t serving in our nation’s classrooms pay back student loans.

Eighty Days
Staring down from this high window
At the faces in the line
Cold from hours of waiting
How many people can you love?
When you're black and blue with bruises
From collisions on the road
The friction grind of travelling
This is the never ending show
All over the world in eighty days
Head in a blur of information
What kind of a man could live this way
I do what I can
I do okay
But right now
All I want to do
Is get real
If that's all right with you
Woke up last night under the mountains
Driving from Zurich to Milan
I lay there listening to the echoes
Thinking of Iceland and Japan
So many smiles, so many faces
And my home so far away
I lose some of me in all these places
And I can't help the way I'm changed
All over the world in eighty days
Memories turn like magazine pages
What kind of a man could live this way
I do what I can
But I can't escape it
Right now
All I want to do
Is get real
If that's all right with you
Right now
All I want to do
Somehow
Be myself with you
All over the world in eighty days
Alcohol haze of information
What kind of a man could live this way
As long as I have
And stay the same
Right now
All I want to do
Is get real
If that's all right with you
Right now
All I want to do
Get real
If that's all right with you
For just one night with you
If that's all right with you
Get real
Get real right now
Somehow

What If
(john farrar)
When no one seems to hear you
And youre longing to be heard
What if there was someone
Whod hang on every word
Before you remind me
That this is the real world
Ask yourself, what if?
And what if theres a door way
Trough the walls of time and space
Where love could be allowed to show
Her long forgotten face
Before you remind me
That this is the real world
Ask yourself, what if?
What if theres a moment
When angry hearts forgive
A time for giving harmony
And peace a chance to live
Before you remind me
That this is the real world
Ask yourself, what if?

It Is Time To Change The World
It is time to change the world
By working together with the world
In order to bring peace for the people in the world
But first we need to accept each other
In real life
And not in a dream world
Because in the real world
We find things that can upset the black people
And the white people as well
