My friends are in bed but I'm best on my own

Strange

Swimming down the road in the deep dark in search of
Something of my life suddenly surfacing out at the top of
The surface from me within inside looking out at me
A thing of very strange ……………………………….

It is neither in static nor in motion
It is in commonly uncommon condition.

It is not showing me the truth but it is surely not the lie
It doesn't allow me to live; it doesn't allow me to die,
It never became my own though it never left me alone
It is definitely not my enemy or foe but not becoming my friend.
Though it never loves to love me but it hates to hate
It is not the dark but never gives me the light
It is in a strange color not in common black, blue and white.

It is not the impossible but it does not have the possibility,
It is not an unreal but unable to come in reality,
It is not the ugly but embodied with the true beauty,
It is not in vacuum but filled with quantity and quality
It never blocks me but never shows me the path
It never quenches but always increases my thirst.
It is not the shadow of the light though it refuses to glow
It never remains the same but it does not change,
What is it? It must be nothing but purely strange.

Have you a friend you truly love?
And does this friend love you?
For in this world of push and shove
We need someone that’s true

Change

Looking through my window shade, stare at streets that bare no name
Now it all looks strange to me, yesterday seems like a dream
But I often try too hard, to break the routine of my day
Turn around see what I see, cant help wishing it could
Chorus: change, change again
Unchain myself - I will
See the faces in the crowd, busy streets they move around
Underground seems such a drag, waiting still and then we change

The Road Never To Be Taken

I stand by a descending road
That runs down to some dark woods unseen before
And I see no other pedestrian passing by.

As I look on I see a few foot prints running down
None returning from there though.
I stand confounded and confined there.

I have just come out only a few yards
And none knows whether I have come out of my home at all.
Many think I am inside it lost in slumber.

The road is not that easy to travel
Though I can`t sleep like ever before.
They think I ever sleep and never travel.

The dark woods let out a strange cry.
It reaches the skies and reverberates unto my ears
And I begin to retreat.

The ghost of the lucky poet haunts me
As I can never tell the story of the road not taken.
My road was laid by someone cruel!

Destination unknown

life is so strange
when you don't know
how can you tell
where you're going to
you can't be sure
of any situation
something could change
and then you won't know
(you ask yourself)
where do we go from here?
it seems so all too near
just as far beyond as i can see
i still don't know what this all means to me
i have nowhere to go
i don't know what to do
and i don't even know the time of day
