There are biographies, I looked at a lot of photographs of him, I heard his voice over and over and over again. You get in there and get to know the man by all of those pieces of information.

I hate biographies which say, I was called to such and such an office, and he offered me so and so, and I got so and so money. I find that very tedious. The best biographies are written by other people.

A dadada poem
It is not a fine morning, a storm this june
Sunk a boat killing some of my brothers
And they are not accounted by this government,
Complaints are made and they are not heard,
And remedies are not afforded, and always this
Event happens with everybody from the senator
To the mayor of the town gets a babble,
A da da da da da da da A da da da da da da da
A da da da da da da da A da da da da da da da
And so what has been done? I do not read the papers
I do not take a pair of scissors, I do not choose any article
And cut it and put all the pieces on a bag and close the bag
And shake all the cut pieces and then I throw all the
Pieces from the top of the building in the city
Like a confetti and there I shout, at the top of my voice
This is what is happening and nothing is done
We are all falling like pieces like pieces like
da da da ado
do do do ada
da da da da
Arriving at nothing at all, babbles getting out of the bag
Now emptied of words.

Endless Sleep
The night was black rain fallin down
I looked my baby shes no where aroun
Chased her footsteps down to the shore
Afraid shes gone for ever more
Well I looked at the sea, seemed to say
I took your baby from you away
I heard a voice cry in the deep
Come join me baby in my endless sleep
Why did we quarrel why did we fight
Why did I leave her alone last night
Thats why her foot steps ran down to the sea
Thats wy my baby has gone from me
Well I looked at the sea seemed to say
I took your baby from you away
Well I heard a voice cry in the deep
Come join me baby in my endless sleep
Endless sleep
Out in the water heart full of fear
There in the breaker I saw her near
Reached for my darlin held her to me
Dragged her away from the angry sea
Well I looked at the sea seemed to say
I took your baby from you away
I heard a voice cryin in the deep
I took your baby from the endless sleep
I grabbed my baby from the endless sleep

Nothing Anymore
When I once looked into your eyes,
I saw honesty lying there.
When I once looked into your eyes,
I saw loyalty with love and care.
When I once looked into your eyes,
I saw life and love forever more.
When I now look into your eyes,
I see darkness, and nothing anymore.
When I once held onto your hand,
I felt compassion, kindness and love.
When I once held onto your hand,
I felt the warmth from GOD above.
When I once held onto your hand,
I felt a joy from the person I adored.
When I now hold onto your hand,
I feel coldness, and nothing anymore.
When I use to listen to your voice,
I once heard it with vigor and excitement.
When I use to listen to your voice,
I once heard it with warmth and fulfillment.
When I use to listened to your voice,
I once heard it with truth which I swore.
When I now listen to your voice.
I go dumb, as I hear nothing anymore.
When I once looked upon your face,
I would always look with pride and a smile.
When I once looked upon your face,
I would always thank GOD your with me now
When I once looked upon your face,
I would always be there to open your door.
When I now look upon your face,
I go blind, as I see nothing anymore.
When I once kissed your lips,
I tasted myself and also your flavor.
When I once kissed your lips,
I tasted life as you were my savior.
When I once kissed your lips,
I tasted excitement and your love in store.
When I now think of kissing your lips,
I now bite them shut, I taste nothing anymore.

There Is Otherside Also
A child got possession of a paper,
Was Very important for his father.
The child was totally unknown,
While playing with paper he torn.
Father became very disappointed,
Assemble it! to child he pointed.
The child gathered all the pieces
Put together and joined the pieces.
So simple! how did you do son?
It had very essential information,
I would have to bear heavy cost
If this vital information was lost.
It was very simple, the child told;
Matched numbers on it and hold.
Other side some numbers printed
To match the pieces, they hinted.
Thing looking difficult may be easy,
A challenge may be tackled simply.
While finding the solution look into
The other side of the problem too.

Memphis, Tennessee
Elvis presley
Long distance information, give me memphis, tennessee.
Help me find the party that tried to get in touch with me.
They would not leave a number, but I know the place to call,
Cause my uncle took a message, and he wrote it on the wall.
Long distance information, get in touch with my marie.
Shes the only one whod phone me here from memphis, tennessee.
Her home is on the south side, high up on a ridge,
Just a half a mile from the mississippi bridge.
Long distance information, more than that I cannot add.
Only that I miss her and all the fun we had.
But we were torn apart because her mom did not agree,
And tore apart our happy home in memphis, tennessee.
Now, last time I saw marie, she was waving me goodbye,
With hurry home drops on her cheeks that trickled from her eyes.
Marie is only 6 years old. information, please,
Try to put me through to her in memphis, tennessee.
Yes, oh, yes, long distance, Ill accept the charge. Ill pay.
But which loved one is calling me? I did not hear you say.
Both are deep within my heart, her mom and my marie.
Its so good to hear your voice from memphis, tennessee.
Oh, you mean so much to me, more than youll ever know.
Surely you have not forgot how much I love you so.
If you would remember, dear, and sometimes talk to me.
Maybe that would reunite our home in tennessee.
Last time I saw you, just before I had to leave.
You didnt want to see me off, and promised not to grieve.
My heart was torn apart, as I looked back at marie.
And there the pieces still remain with you in tennessee.
I guess I should stop talking, after all, you placed the call.
But any way that I can help. you know Ill help you all.
Then her mother told me to come back and see marie,
And live together in our home in memphis, tennessee.

More Than Paris
France is more than Paris
This dark, unfriendly French provincial town, only,
a pizza parlour open run by a gloomy, unshaven
person who looked like a reluctant refugee from
Kosovo I wouldn’t like to stay down-wind from.
Everything made of plastic tables, chairs that once
had been white, under the counter rested pieces
of pizzas that was going cold, I had two pieces one
with salami, the other with tuna, washed down with
soft drinks. Finished the meal, the man looked at me
as saying: ” What are you still doing here? I left.
Turned, looked into dirty windows, and thought” If this
is hell I better start saying my prayer now.

Every physical system registers information, and just by evolving in time, by doing its thing, it changes that information, transforms that information, or, if you like, processes that information.

Well, there's a question as to what sort of information is important in the world, what sort of information can achieve reform. And there's a lot of information. So information that organizations are spending economic effort into concealing, that's a really good signal that when the information gets out, there's a hope of it doing some good.

I Was Young Once Too
Written by richard leigh and robert byrne
He raced that engine down the track round the tree on christmas day
I was so amazed my dad would play with trains
I saw a sparkle in his eye, then I heard him say, come on son lets play, i
Was young once, too
He washed that buick faithfully, lord he kept her clean
I thought that machine meant more to him than me
On the day I turned sixteen he threw me the keys
Said I was young once, too, now she belongs to you
He was such a young man then, Im older than that now
I hope I measure up to him, when the circle comes around
I saw him in the attic sittin cross legged on the floor
With some old photographs, he point and laughed
He said, thats me in that picture, I said, no son, thats your dad
I was young once, too, and looked a lot like you
I was young once, too, I was young once, too
Merry christmas son, I wish your grandpa were here
He was young once, too, and looked like me and you

Deadlock Holiday
I was walkin down the street
Concentratin on truckin right
I heard a dark voice beside of me
And I looked round in a state of fright
I saw four faces, one mad
A brother from the gutter
They looked me up and down a bit
And turned to each other
I say
I dont like cricket oh no
I love it
I dont like cricket no no
I love it
Dont you walk through my words
Got to show some respect
Dont you walk through my words
cause you aint heard me out yet
Well he looked down at my silver chain
He said Ill give you one dollar
I said you got to be jokin man,
It was a present from me mother
He said I like it, I want it,
Ill take it off your hands
And youll be sorry you crossed me
Youd better understand that youre alone,
A long way from home!
I say
I dont like reggae no no
I love it
I dont like reggae
I love it
Dont you cramp me style
Dont you queer me pitch
Dont you walk through my words
cause you aint heard me out yet
I hurried back to the swimming pool
Sinkin pina calarda
I heard a dark voice beside me say
Would you like something harder
She said Ive got it, you want it,
My harvest is the best
And if you try it, youll like it
And whollow in a dreadlock holiday
And I say
Dont like jamaica oh no
I love her
Dont like jamaica oh no
I love her oh yea
Dont you walk through her words
Got to show some respect
Dont you walk through her words
cause you aint heard her out yet
I dont like cricket
I love it dreadlock holiday

How And Why
It was mid afternoon and not a cloud in the sky
The wind started acting up
I couldn’t understand why.
Then the rain started coming down
Heavy as can be
But it was only raining upon me.
twenty feet all around, outside of that
Not a dropp to be found.
How is this possible?
Is it that I’m dreaming?
And in my dream, this is what I’m seeing?
I looked up and down the street
And the cars were all dry.
I looked up again and the sky was clear blue
I just stood there not knowing what to do.
I felt someone or some thing touch my shoulder
And I spun completely around
But there was no one to be found.
I looked around again and the rain
Was still coming down
Then I heard a voice, an unfamiliar sound.
I have heard you, when you was praying at night
That you asked to bless all children
When ever in sight.
The children are blessed every second
Of every day, but your prayers
Help them, as they go on their way.
So continue your prayers and
Get the message To all mankind:
They are killing the earth
And there’s no reason why.

The Voice Says In My Heart
Dreaming of a life of peace,
Though I am shattered to pieces.
A damaged spirit, resulting from a defective mind.
Broken and irreparable, so I think.
But my thoughts got me here in the first place.
On my knees, looking up, I see the light.
Shining down on me from above.
It connects with the light inside.
The voices in my head silence.
My mind clears, true vision appears.
'Pick up the pieces.', the soft voice whispers from within.
'Many pieces, put together, makes a piece.'
'That is what you seek isn't it? '
'Give them to me, for the pieces are heavy'.
'What I have created, only I can fix.'
'It was broken by you in the first place.'
'Because I was not your first place.'
'I was your last. I was your end.'
'But now you have reached me, '
'Let me show you what I can do.'
'For I come with an eternal warranty and a misery back guarantee.'
Piece by piece, I was put back together.
Until I was one.
Not one with my thoughts, but one with my maker.
No longer listening to what the voices in my head say.
But to what the voice says in my heart.
As it whispers to me, I can feel it's voice.
'Peace.'

What Of The Person Remains?
WHAT OF THE PERSON REMAINS?
What of the person remains?
For tens of thousands of years
Not even a bone.
For a few thousand
For a few a name and a story,
And for most, dust and nothingness.
But then
Portrait and family history
Photographs and then films
Clips of a life.
And now more and more detail
Everyman immortalized in each tweet and twitter
Eternity in an electronic file.
And yet with all this
With all the remnants and reminiscences
With all the recorded interviews
With all the tons and tons of information
Gathered around each name
What of the person remains?
All these images and information
All this non-erasable digital paradise
Has not made one single human being
Breathe again with the full breath of life.
The person does not remain
No matter how many memories and how much information
Is left behind.
Death is not defeated yet
As we record and record and record
Every passing instant and action
Of what one day in an instant
May all suddenly disappear.
We will forever be unable to do-
What only God
May do for us.

In the Middle of a Crowd
Today I was in the middle of a crowd and that when I heard her. Her sweet voice filtered out all the cell phones with the different ringtones. All the voices of the people from a businessman making a million dollar deal to a toddler having a tantrum because his mom won't buy him a juice-box. Her voice even may the barking dogs bark mute and the birds chirping song silent and her voice was the only one my ears heard. In the middle of a crowd is where I wrote this poem because the lady's voice I heard was poetry.

I've looked at photographs of myself during concerts and it sometimes looks as if I'm in a fencing move, with a guitar in my hands instead of a sword.
