There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man than the way in which they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before.

It is remarkable that men, when they differ in what they think considerable, are apt to differ in almost everything else... Thus they differ in affection, as they differ in judgement, and the contention which began in pride, ends in anger.

Free
Birds flying free
where can you be going?
I just wish knowing
would help me be free.
Flying south in winter,
no more cold for you.
Ample berries on the trees
under skies so blue.
Flying north in summer
where the nests you'll build
where twigs and feathers
will do fine
'til your nest is filled.
Birds flying free
never will there be
escape from the landscape
like yours, for me.

Kalahari Weavers
The weaver birds build homes together
Great thatch domes
They enter and leave
Circling in their thousands
Nests embracing great thorn trees
And no wisp or stalk is wasted
The weaver birds build commune homes
That stately sway in the breeze of dawn
Freezing under the midday blaze
Defiant in the cruellest evening storm
Tireless desert artisans
Peerless design skills
Resolved to live together by
Savannah stripped bare of life
And grasses of which few survive
If I had a week, a shade
And water-bottle filled
I would stay to watch them build.

The Bless Of My Own Silence....
in this place
the first thing that i hear every morning
is the song of the birds
on top of trees
as they prepare to leave
after a night's sleep
as i open my window
and light is still young like some eyes blinking
i wonder
what are these birds up to
they do not build their nests here
they just come
spend a night and then leave and are back again
on the same hour of the same night
i try to ask more questions
that i myself have to answer
but then
something comes up within
the reasons do not really matter
it is their songs
the harmony with the wind
the joy of the trees
the bliss
of my own silence....

Be Like A Bird
Birds build their own nests
one twig at a time
little by little.
Birds build their own nests
strong enough
for raising their young ones
until they know
how to fly.
Be like a bird
even if it takes time
build your own home.
Be like a bird
build your home strong enough
for raising your children
until they know how to live
...on their own.

Love....my Dear...
This is the garden
where yellow daffodils bloom throughout summer
There are trees around here
where birds build their nests
Birds sing and play
feeding on sesame seeds
in a small house i build for them
hanging on the
gutter
This is a cozy room my dear
where i undress before you
without feeling
any shame

Science is nothing but trained and organized common sense, differing from the latter only as a veteran may differ from a raw recruit and its methods differ from those of common sense only as far as the guardsman's cut and thrust differ from the manner in which a savage wields his club.

Leave me never, leave me now.
Leave me never, leave me now.
Leave me never, leave me now
Leave the sweat upon my brow
Leave the why's, the where and how
to help the helpless grieve.
Leave behind the broken vow,
however, though, ... just leave.
Leave me not, in true temptation,
coveting this single nation
Bringing calm to consternation
while the embers build,
beneath the mask of indignation?
Consciences are killed
And while we wait, we cast the net
o'er waters which have not run yet
but hide in summer's silhouette,
as time tries to perceive.
Eternity repays its debt
so soon, we all must leave.

Play of togetherness
Yes nice play of togetherness
Feel nothing different with total oneness
They need no empire or vast land
Come together only to become friends
Nothing to bother not even house
Only sweet passions to rouse
Act may bring so much happiness and melody
Apart from playing part assigned by nobody
Do the birds care about norms?
Are they in touch or well informed?
They know the arrival of spring
They have only to wait for surprises to bring
They need no material to build nest
They have their own are as best
No art, no labor but little care
Penetration in nest nearly impossible to dare
No scientific medium to air the music
Peace and melody with so much magic
Anybody may stop on the way and watch
Try desperately to have glimpse and catch
How much closeness with mother earth?
Roots deep in and to hold for worth
May never fail or create shortage
Peaceful living with clear message
I heard sparrows have disappeared
Near extinction and new births totally feared
No more colorful birds may be seen on our window
We have smashed the nests and new one did not allow
We face Tsunami and murderous cyclones
Uproot completely and leave behind bones
Will we not take any note of disasters?
Will not hear call from our divine masters?
Birds do for us nice singing
Bright sunshine with little warning
Let us be friendly with entire creatures
We can build and leave with happy future

Build A Fire (lenny Dee Remix)
Pulled up to rest, let the engine cool awhile.
Open the beans, gather wood for the fire.
I hum this tune, to all the girls I've known.
Should I care, about the chances I've blown?
Build a fire, they're gonna build a fire
Build a fire, they're gonna build a fire
They're gonna build a fire
They're gonna build a fire
When daylight breaks, I'll be down that road.
Rockman 'an me, with a lighter load.
We'll stop fo r lunch, in some taco bar.
Lee Marvin on the jukebox, 'Wanderin Star'.
Build a fire, they're gonna build a fire
Build a fire, they're gonna build a fire

Easter Week
See the land, her Easter keeping,
Rises as her Maker rose.
Seeds, so long in darkness sleeping,
Burst at last from winter snows.
Earth with heaven above rejoices;
Fields and gardens hail the spring;
Shaughs and woodlands ring with voices,
While the wild birds build and sing.
You, to whom your Maker granted
Powers to those sweet birds unknown,
Use the craft by God implanted;
Use the reason not your own.
Here, while heaven and earth rejoices,
Each his Easter tribute bring-
Work of fingers, chant of voices,
Like the birds who build and sing.

Bad To Me
If you ever leave me, I'll be sadand blue
Don't you ever leave me, I'm so in love with you
The birds in the sky would be sad and lonely,
If they knew that I lost my one and only,
They'd be sad if you're bad to me
The leaves on the trees would be softly sighin
If they heard from the breeze that you left me crying,
They'd be sad, don't be bad to me
But I know you won't leave me 'cos you told me so,
And I've no intention of letting you go,
Just as long as you let me know, you won't be bad to me
So the birds in the sky won't be sad and lonely,
'Cos they know I got my one and only
They'd be glad that you're not bad to me
But I know you won't leave me 'cos you told me so,
And I've no intention of letting you go,
Just as long as you let me know, you won't be bad to me
So the birds in the sky won't be sad and lonely,
"Cos they know I got my one and only
They'd be glad that you're not bad to me,
They'd be glas that you're not bad to me, to me, to me

Bridge Between Us
i like to build this bridge
between us
the river that divides us
is long and wide
and the waters rage like the emotions
of the night
that fought against the days of my life
i like to build this bridge between our minds
two continents divided by an ocean
seemingly without the sea
the shores nowhere to be found
i like to build this bridge
let me just tell you that before i finally take my leave

We Build
we build new windows
framed with strong wood and carved
with flowers and birds
we build new doors
we let the vines grown their tendrils again
we watch and we keep on building some more
new floors and ceilings that know how to sing
chairs that are learning how to embrace our hips
we begin to see new clouds
we busy ourselves to make life click and tick and pick up
from where we think we ought to have died
we refuse this call for dissolution
there are meanings coming up
for new beginnings
we build a new house simply because we are uncertain
beyond these broken pillars.

Our Love
Jerry lynn williams
Day by day Im lost for words to say
I try and speak but the words wont come
You and I should take these wings and fly
Its time to ring every bell and beat on every drum
Cause our love can take us where weve never been
And our love can build this world again
Build this world
What we need is just a little love and well succeed
The time has come for everyone to know
That you and I were all the reasons why
He taught the birds to sing and made the flowers grow
And our love can take us where weve never been
And our love can build this world again
Build this world
The time has come for everyone to know
He taught the birds to sing and made the flowers grow
And our love can take us where weve never been
And our love can build this world again
Build this world
Day by day Im lost for words to say
I try and speak but the words wont come
So you and I should take these wings and fly
Its time to ring every bell and beat on every drum
Tell the world about it
Our love can take us where weve never been
And our love can build this world again
Build this world
