The people who make policy decisions should damned well know what they are talking about before they make the decisions. There is nobody who is an expert on cloning who would be afraid after seeing Attack of the Clones.

We need to ask our policy makers and those we elect to office who are supposed to make decisions to give us the evidence of the facts that are behind the decisions that we make. We should be skeptical.

Decisions
In our lives, we make
an enormous amount of decisions.
Some are wise,
while others are not.
Some are thought out,
while others are on
the spur of the moment.
It is these decisions
that normally cause us
the most pain
because we examine them
time and again.
Did we make the right one,
or would it have been better
not to make one at all.
As some decisions cannot be reversed
after, they have been made.

Decisions
Decisions, decisions
Options and choices
That signify our freedom
But make life more difficult
All the same
But what would life be without
Decisions?
Would it be a meangless
Tangle of days after days?
A predetermined boring
Routine?
They make make life hard
But they can make it
So much better
Choices will come and go
But the decisions
Stay the same

My Prerogative
Get Busy/
Everybody's talking all this stuff about me/
Why don't they just let me live/
I dont need permission, make my own decisions/
Thats my perogative/
They say Im crazy I really dont care/
Thats my perogative/
They say Im nasty but I dont give a damn/
Getting girls is how I live/
Some ask me questions/
Why am I so real/
But they dont understand me, I really dont know the deal/
about a brother trying hard to make it right/
not long ago before I really spied/
(Sing!)
Everybody's talking all this stuff about me/
Why don't they just let me live/
(Tell me why)
I dont need permission, make my own decisions/
Thats my perogative/
Its my Per-rog-a-tive
Its the way that I wanna live
(Its my perogative)
I can do just what I feel/
(Its my perogative)
No one can tell me what to do/
(Its my perogative)
Cause what Im doing Im doing for you/
Dont get me wrong/
I really not souped
Evil tricks is not my thang/
All these strange relationships really gets me down/
I see nothing wrong with spreading myself around/
(Sing!)
Everybody's talking all this stuff about me/
Why don't they just let me live/
(Tell me why)
I dont need permission, make my own decisions/
Thats my perogative/
Its my Per-rog-a-tive
Its the way that I wanna live
(Its my perogative)
I can live my life/
(Its my perogative)
Im doing it just for you/
(Its my perogative)
Tell me, Tell me/
Why cant I live my life/
(Live my Life)
Without all of the thangs/
That people say/
Yo Teddy, kick it like this/
O no no/
I can do what I want to do, me and you/
Together, Together, Together, Together/
Everybody's talking all this stuff about me/
Why don't they just let me live/
I dont need permission, make my own decisions/
Thats my perogative/

Making Decisions
We make decisions.
Some of them quick.
Some of them split.
Some of them mixed,
With a wish to quit...
Making decisions we have to admit!
We make decisions.
Some of them quick.
Some of them split.
Some of them mixed,
With a wish to quit...
Making decisions we have to admit!
How often does a hindsight renew,
A clearer vision wished we had then used.
How often do we then excuse this...
As mistakes we've made,
Too late to shake away.
To turn around unphased,
Just to have things our way!
We make decisions.
Some of them quick.
Some of them split.
Some of them mixed,
With a wish to quit...
Making decisions we have to admit!
How often does a hindsight renew,
A clearer vision wished we had then used.
While making decisions wearing the same old shoes.

Decisions (acrostic)
Decisions are hard to make.
Every time there’s more to take.
Choices there are lots of,
Involving life, school and love.
Some decisions can be easy,
Involving friends and family.
Others can be more difficult.
None are to be left alone,
Since good decisions are your own.

If we don't make tough decisions today our children are going to have to make much, much tougher decisions tomorrow.
Scenario Difficult Decisions
difficult decisions
to make requires
time needs energy
focus firm resolve
quite meditation
to recharge batteries
praying for guidance
and strength is good
difficult decisions
can be hard
we can only
try our best
we rarely know
in major decisions
our best solutions
what is best
for each of us
God knows?

Not On Their Agenda
I make no decisions for God.
God makes decisions for me.
And those who claim they have faith and pray,
And delay each step they make...
With procrastinated hesitation,
Will never have me waiting for them.
If the only priority they have is to make excuses,
To then include God to use and abuse...
I know respect for me is not on their agenda!
I am not a dollar sign.
And that is the only thing of value,
On their minds revealed and constantly mentioned.

If That Is Possible
If you are not about who you are...
Then why are you here in prejudgement?
The only decisions you can make,
There is a hesitation.
You can not make up your mind!
Most of the time.
And you want your opinions heard?
Unsolicited?
To spend the time of others?
When you should take that time,
Finding yourself.
Or where you are.
If that is possible.
And if it is...
You've got a lot of work to do.
And time is not on your side waiting.
Not for those decisions to be made.

I See Them On The Weekends
Who selected what you wear...
And helped you dress this morning?
'What kind of question is that?
I make those decisions myself! '
Who selected where you shop?
Dine and entertain your whims?
When you have them?
'What are you getting at?
Is there a point to be made here? '
Sooo...
You will agree,
If you are influenced to do anything...
It will be a choice you make?
'Sure...
Everyone does that.'
Then why are so many people,
Blaming others for their problems?
IF they are making their own decisions.
And where they are in life by choice!
'Well...
Some folks have legitimate gripes.'
I know!
I see them on the weekends,
Packing the malls...
And spreading their girth on the sidewalks.

High office teaches decision making, not substance. It consumes intellectual capital; it does not create it. Most high officials leave office with the perceptions and insights with which they entered; they learn how to make decisions but not what decisions to make.
