As our federal government has grown too large and too powerful, the real loss has been the freedom of people to govern their own lives and participate fully in the American dream.

I think the American people have become more reliant upon government and less reliant upon themselves and that they now tend to put security ahead of freedom, but I think freedom is the most important aspect of our lives.

Freedom is a Powerful Word
freedom is a powerful word
filled with glori and brightened eyes
freedom is a powerful word
where no black child is left behind
the despair of no hesitation
the depair of no education
freedom is a powerful word
freedom is a powerful word
where everyone gets a chance to be one
freedom is a powerful word
where a black man can raise his son
we got freedom
but we dont respect it
black boys droppin out of school
black girls gettin pregnant at early ages
these people fought for our rights
but all we do is abuse it
like i said freedom is a powerful word
are you sure we are free
why are we killing our own race
we are gettin involved in the wrong stuff
like gangs and selling drugs
smokin weed and makin d's
it aint right
freedom is a powerful word
if it is so powerful
dont abuse it

The New American Way
quit banging the drums of war!
war was never meant to be
a means of economic survival...
much less profitable....
human lives mean nothing!
freedom and democracy
are a hoax... a drug
administered through the
late night tv news....
we're not trying to liberate anyone,
it's all profit and loss....
profit to the War Machine...
loss... of lives, any sense of morality
and/or human decency.
it's easy to sell....
just tell the people they're
our enemies... that they're
out to get us.
you dont have to prove
anything...
no weapons of mass destruction
needed... just the fear
created by implanting the thought!
profit justifies anything...
the new American Way!

We Are Told
We are told that we have got freedom yet not freedom to do as we like
There are places we are not allowed to walk in or where we cannot ride a push bike
Which means that our freedom is so called since we cannot even walk where we please
Ours is such a limited freedom we are not as free as a breeze.
Without a passport we cannot travel to another Country and that is for a limited time
And if we overstay our visa that is a deportable crime
By the Immigration Department of Government by a Government not blessed with a soul
There is a name for such a practice 'tis known as population control.
Young men in wars fought and died for freedom but was it for freedom they died?
When their Government leader told them they were fighting for freedom to the young and naive troops he lied
They fought for the glory of their leader and risked their lives on a foreign shore
They were used as pawns in a deadly power game just that sad to say nothing more.
We are told that we have got freedom though we have to be careful with the words we say
And if our speech on it has got restrictions then what is freedom anyway?
Young men fought and even died for freedom at least that's what we are made to believe
By so called patriotic politicians people who are known to deceive.

Anarchists
The leaders of this country,
Think were the ones that do wrong,
They take control of the power,
and steal this land of forgotten freedom
Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people
They call the ones dressed in black,
The evil ones but we fight back,
We've got hackers, we've got protesters,
we let no man left behind
Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people
The unions dressed in black,
With their flag raised up high,
Don't take no for an answer,
As the forces stain the streets with blood
Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people
We fight for the people,
Our obligation is good as gold,
And though we fight with arms of steel,
we don't let death go in vein
Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people

But again, you know, the views that we've expressed are transferring power back from the federal government to the states, giving Alaska an incredible opportunity to expand its economy, especially at a time when our federal government is coming close to bankruptcy. So that is a broad-based appeal. It's not an extreme view.

Panther Power
Tupac:
As real as it seems the american dream
Aint nuthin but anotha calculated scheme
To keep us locked up and shot up and back in chains
To deny us our future rob our name
Kept our history a mystery but now I see
The american dream wasnt meant for me
cause lady libertys a hypocrite she lied to me
Promised freedom education and ecuality
Never gave be nuthin but slavery
But now look at how dangerous you made me
Callin me a man cause Im strong and bold
With this gumbo of knowledge of the lies you told
Promised me emancipation and a free nation
All you ever gave my people was starvation
The father of our country never cared for me
They kept our ancestors shacked up in slavery
Uncle sam neva did a damm thing for me
Exept lie about the facts in my history
Now Im sittin here mad cause Im unemployed
But the government mad cause they enjoy
When my people are down they just screw us around
Time to change the government now
Panther power
Ray:
Panther powr from the place that resides within
Go to for to with a panther and you just cant win
Self proclaimed best supress the rest
The rich get richer and the poor take less
The american dream was the american nightmare
You kept my people down and refused to fight fair
The ku klux klan tried to keep us out
With signs that state no blacks allowed
With intimidation and segregation
Once would wait for our freedom
But now were impatient
Blacks they others they yell sell out
Freedom equality get out yell out
Dont eva be ashamed of what you are
Its your panther power that makes you a star
Panther power
Tupac:
My mother neva let me forget my history
Hopin that I would set free cahins that were put on me
Wanted to be more than just free
Had to know tha true facts about my history
I couldnt settle for bein a statistic
Couldnt survive in this capitalistic government
cause it was meant to hold us back with ignorance
Drugs and sneak attacks in my community
They killed our unity
But when I charged them they cried immunity
I strike america like a case of heart disease
Panther power is runnin through my arteries
Try to stop me homeboy youll get clawed to death
cause Ill be fightin for my freedom till my dyin breath
Ray:
Do you remember thats what Im askin you
You think youre livin free dont make me laugh at you
Open your eyes realise youve been locked in chains
Said you wasnt civilized and stole your name
cause some time has passed we seem to all firget
Theres no liberty for me and you we aint free yet

American Dream
American dream
American dream
American dream
I must surrender to my American dream
Please do not call me
There is a wedding ring on my ring
And I am building my American dream
I found an American soul mate to love
And to share my life and my American dream
I am getting married and settling down
Good bye single life
Love is the best thing I can give to the people who also share my American dream
Soul mate give me a kiss
And let's dream the American dream
I want my self, you, and every body else to be a part of this American
Dream
We are starting over with an American dream
What I lost before
It is not of any value to me any more
I can't replace it
But you are a part of me
And that is what matters the most
This American dream belong to us and every body else
My heart belongs to you my soul mate
Days will come and go
But I am here for you
We can make a difference when we claim the American dream
Maybe tommorow we will sail on a moon beam
My soul mate has blue eyes
Soul mate I ask no more than this
Please give me a warm kiss
Somewhere in the American dream roses will bloom
And ships will sail across the sea
Poets will write their poetry
Singers will sing in the boulevard cafes some love songs that touch Every body's heart
Flower girls will sell flowers in the streets of the American dream so
The man can buy some
Flowers for there girl friends and lovers if they have any
I can't let any body else steal our American dream
We must save this American dream for us and every body else
If you want to be a part of the American dream
You will have to be a good citizen of the American dream

We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind of self-government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.
