On becoming more acquainted with the word of the Bible, I began to understand so much more of what I had been taught, and of what I had learned about life and about the people in mine.

He Is Caught In Time
(after Mandi Engelbrecht)
The faces around him is a confusing sea
of unknown people for whom he does not care
and he keeps away from pleasure and enjoyment;
he does not anymore understand his Bible or God.
No beautiful girl catches his eyes
and he is afraid for all of life,
people on the street are strange and silly;
he does not anymore understand his Bible or God.
One dark night his wife left him,
talked cheerfully about her new lover,
took everything along even the last flower vase,
he does not anymore understand his Bible or God;
she told the whole world that he whores around,
that he peeps at other women,
that he keeps no Godly command,
he does not anymore know his Bible or God;
at the holy church he lost his job
when more and more people heard the gossip story,
he scolds himself that he is very stupid,
he does not anymore understand his Bible or God.
His whole life is broken into pieces,
around him there is only confusing impressions,
it’s as if all his friends now are mocking him,
he does not anymore understand his Bible or God.
He locks himself in his inner room
opens for nobody that knocks on the outside,
he finds no other work opportunity,
he does not anymore understand his Bible or God.
During the night he is single, almost a monk
and he lives from dark moment to moment
is caught in time, feels dirty and rotten;
he does not anymore understand his Bible or God.
There is another world in his poems,
in memories wandering, searching faces
and dreams of some deliverance are somewhat silly;
he does not anymore understand his Bible or God.
He plants African marigolds, roses and jasmine;
feels the earth in his hands and too much pain,
he is broken and almost bankrupt;
he does not anymore understand his Bible or God.

Heaven's Only Door
There is far too much presumption, concerning the time we pass away,
For so many fail to open The Word of God to see what He has to say.
For all men are destined once to die, and then must face judgment,
But many people die not knowing what's ahead, not even a tiny hint.
For some people are taught by others that everyone goes to Heaven,
But remember Jesus warned us to watch out for the Pharisee's leaven.
Many others turn away when you talk about Hell's Eternal Punishment,
They say He's a loving God and to such a place no one would be sent.
Another idea taught by many is that all roads will lead to the Lord,
This is taught by men who don't understand and The Bible is ignored.
Some believe they will enter Heaven when they see the life they had,
Resting in an empty hope, that their good will out weigh their bad.
There are also those who acknowledge God and know that He is Pure,
But comparing their self to Him they think they're in Hell for sure.
And some people don't believe in God or even in a life after death,
And believe they rot just like animals after their very last breath.
There is a Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun, this you can be sure,
Dear friend forget about all the views above and listen to The Lord.
He died on Calvary's Cross-for the entire world and you can be sure,
And Christ is the way, the truth, the life, and Heaven's Only Door.

Nobodys Fault But Mine
Nina simone
Ah, nobodys fault but mine
Nobodys fault but mine
Tryin to raise my soul to light
Ah, have a Bible in my home
Have a Bible in my home
Tryin to raise my soul to light
.. taught me how to read
.. taught me how to read
Tryin to raise my soul to light
Nobodys fault but mine.
Oh lord, nobodys fault but mine
Tryin to raise my soul to light
Ah have a Bible in my home
Have a Bible in my home
Tryin to raise my soul to light
Oh, buddy she taught me how to read
Buddy she taught me how to read
Tryin to raise my soul to light.
Ah, lord, lord, nobodys fault but mine
Bible and my soul tonight
And sister she taught me how to read
Sister she taught me how to read
Bible and my soul tonight.
Ah, no, no, nobodys fault but mine.
Bible and my soul tonight.
Nobodys fault but mine
Nobodys fault but mine
Tryin to raise my soul to the light
Nobodys fault but mine
Got a Bible in my home
Got a Bible in my home
Tryin to raise my soul to the light
Nobodys fault but mine - yeah!
Sister she taught me to roll
My sister she taught me to roll
I roll along the line
Nobodys fault but mine
Nobodys fault but mine
Nobodys fault but mine
Ill raise my soul to the light
Nobodys fault but mine
Take it on, take it on
I got a monkey on my back
I gotta monkey on my back, back, back
Ill raise my soul to the light
Nobodys fault but mine - yeah
Nobodys fault but mine
Nobodys fault but mine
Ill raise my soul to the light
Nobodys fault but mine
Whoo!
Naw.
Nobodys fault but mine
Nobodys fault but mine
Ill raise my soul to the light
Nobodys fault but mine
Nobodys fault but mine
Nobodys fault but mine
Tryin raise my soul to the light
Nobodys fault but mine
Oh!

Casting One's Own Shadow
Call your trip whatever you wish.
I've learned not to debate, argue...
Or 'franchise' anyone's opinion,
As if to make mine!
Nor do I agree to evaluate...
Someone's statement,
Whether a line given to solicit...
An opinion I've given in anything I've written.
I've learned an exchange of experiences,
Is not a possibility.
And I've learned this by listening.
And this many people seldom do.
I've been up and down too many times,
To discover my own comprehension...
About life.
My life and how 'my' life is connected.
When I found criticisms made of me by others...
'Added' to my understanding,
If right, wrong or indifferent when given...
I still had to brush my own teeth.
Walk on my own two feet!
And be accountable for my own actions.
I stopped making excuses,
When they began not to make sense to me.
I spent more time defending myself...
Instead of living my life.
And I began to do that...
When I started to appreciate myself.
And 'if' I was to give my advice to anyone...
AND...
I did say 'if'.
I would say this...
If anyone finds they are seeking acceptance,
On a path they have chosen to take...
It is not a path they have chosen.
How can it be?
How can someone declare something theirs,
When others can do the same thing thing?
If voices can be heard?
Footprints can be seen?
And the path one takes has already been paved?
That is following...
Not casting,
One's own shadow!
I do not wish,
I demand people to get out of my light.
What would be the point,
If I am patiently waiting for someone else to decide...
Whether or not they want to move out of it?
That kind of time I am not giving to anyone!
Period.
I've learned many lessons.

Practical
Practical,
Effective,
Joyful;
And like Satan and her followers!
But those who study the Bible honestly have to admit that,
What is taught in organised religions is far different from what is taught in the Bible!

All Mine (Demo)
I've got blood on my hands from this little timid life
It's just like a man, to trust me with all his might
I've got mud on my feet, when I kicked you back 3 wks.
If I promised to keep my mouth shut, can I sit her while you speak
Finally mine, your finally all mine
Finally mine, your finally all mine
Where did it get me, all mine
What did it teach me, all mine
Somebody stop me, I'm losing control again
I've got honor to earn
But I guess I lost my turn
When will I learn, to treat you with concern
Finally mine, your finally all mine
Finally mine, your finally all mine
Where did it get me, all mine
Look what it taught me, all mine
Somebody stop me, I'm losing control
Where did it get me, all mine
Look what it taught me, all mine
Somebody stop me, I'm losing control
All mine
Where did it get me, all mine
Look what it taught me, all mine
Somebody stop me, I'm losing control

The boys of my people began very young to learn the ways of men, and no one taught us; we just learned by doing what we saw, and we were warriors at a time when boys now are like girls.
I saw you and I learned this
I saw you and I learned this,
That love is crazy,
Now where would I go from here?
I will die in your arms
I saw you and I learned this,
My eyes, your dreams
My heart, your memories
Oh, what is there of mine?
Everything is yours
My life is yours, my breath is yours
In my eyes came your tears
All of my woes began to smile
I saw you and I learned this,
That love is crazy,
Now where would I go from here?
I will die in your arms
I saw you and I learned this,
This heart doesn't seem like anything
What do I say, what do I do?
Yes, in front of me
You stay seated
I will keep on looking at you
You called out, look I came
What vow is bigger than love?
I saw you and I learned this,
That love is crazy,
I saw you and I learned this,
That love is crazy,
Now where would I go from here?
I will die in your arms

Our Heartaches
Oh that life would never be
filled with pain and misery,
but life was never meant to be
filled with joy and ecstasy.
I've learned that now and cry my tears.
I learned it in my later years.
All the hopes are replaced with fears
that every emotion that one reveres
escapes so quickly just as it began
and changes all the things you plan.
You hold on tight, as tight as you can.
And as it leaves you never understand.

If horses neigh to one another, they become acquainted, if people talk to one another, they become acquainted.
Hidden From The Masses
The religions of Satan claim that they are teaching you the Bible!
And, they say that the Laws of the Creator are done away with;
because, the majority of the people are now caught up by the webs of entertainment! !
Which is now destroying each person's mind today;
However, the truth is hidden from the masses because,
They fail to learn and understand the ways of life as written in the very Bible they read.

Masters
I learned the art of drawing from the sky
learned music from the oceans.
Sun who taught me to fight
and the Moon who taught me to weep.
Arithmetic and Algebra I don't like,
but the twinkling stars helped me a lot to count figures.
Geography and History those are my best.
After the examination I waited for my results
and saw it's written in the sky.
My parents won't believe this
I got a zero for each subject.
I was upset and came running
searching everywhere the Life-Tavern
to have a cup of pain killer,
Then I saw a ragged beggar
Who's never been to a school
Taught me to smile.

I Hated Those Multiple Choice Questions
Greed has chased their jobs,
And employers overseas.
Outsourcing was the word I heard...
When a few years ago,
I was downsized and released.
And when I heard the word 'downsized',
I didn't think it meant out the door.
And that's when I began to see...
Economics!
And what that term was used for.
Too many debits decreases credits.
And a negative credit,
Needs cash to cover it.
When no cash is there...
The cupboards grow bare.
And my mama taught me that...
When I'd ask for a dollar and she would stare,
'Boy where do you think money comes from?
Out of the blue?
Picked off trees?
Thin air? '
Hmmm...
I hated those multiple choice questions!
I wonder...
Is it 'All' or 'None Above'?
And not a hint on her face as to a clue.
Greed has chased their jobs,
And employers overseas.
Outsourcing was the word I heard...
When a few years ago,
I was downsized and released.
And people are screaming for their lifestyles back!
But I learned very early in my life,
If no cash is to be had...
Wishes and dreams stay right where they are at!
And those delusioned by grandeur need to face the facts.

Bible Verse
I asked the child why did she curse
Her answer was, she knew not a Bible verse
She never went to church or knew how to say a prayer
So all that she knew, was how to curse and swear,
I was told that her mother had taught her well
But never taught her about heaven or even hell
And all that she knew is from what she had read
While listening to the words that her mother had said.
I asked the child why did she lie
Her response to me, it is better than to cry
As things got bad and then they turned worse
That's all that she knew, and she knew not a Bible verse,
Her mother had told her the things not to do
But then they differed from other's points of view
And all the child knew was from what she had seen
As she watched her mother, which was unforeseen.
I asked the child why did she steal
Taking from others for a terrible ordeal
She answered me, as she placed the goods in her purse
'It is the way that I am', and I know not of a Bible verse
Someday soon I will probably smoke and drink
Spoke the child to me as she began to think
But then am I not the girl that my mother did raise
And every day to my mother, I give her praise.
I asked the child why did she fight
She then said to me, it's better than being polite
Her mother's honor again she had to defend
And fighting is all that she could comprehend
So the child then wiped the pain off of her face
As she slowly walked away in sadness and disgrace
The last thing she said to me as we did converse
She said, I truly wish that I knew a Bible verse.

Transformation (2)
at first i was just a mere word
so i transformed myself into a sentence
and then not contented with what i am
a mere sound and syllable
an idea, a conceived meaning
i opted to have some cells
i learned how to make myself many
so i got duplicates and multiples
until i began to have a body
some hands and feet until i began
to have a definite form like circles and
squares and cubes until i became a man
and then i regretted all these
i went back to what i was
a mere word
now looking still
for my own meaning.

I was taught a lot of Bible at home and had a voracious appetite for reading the Bible.
The Word
Find the word, understand the word,
Depend on the word;
The word is heaven and space, the word the earth,
The word the universe.
The word is in our ears, the word is on our tongues,
The word the idol.
The word is the holy book, the word is harmony,
The word is music.
The word is magic, the word the Guru.
The word is the body, the word is the spirit, the word is being,
The word Not-being.
The word is man, the word is woman,
The Worshipped Great.
The word is the seen and unseen, the word is the existent
And the non-existent.
Know the word, says Kabir,
The word is All-powerful.
Impoverish Child
A small poverty-stricken girl wearing shabby clothes and unkempt hair. Treasures in heaven was all she bear. Poverty seem to be her destiny in life, but as she grew she struggle to survive. Nine was the age she began to toil. Sunrise to sunset was all. She was taught God's love and never be idle for survival. She remember God's word, through sorrow the heart will be better. Through diligence life began to matter.
Life had dealt her a bad hand, she remember it's God who giveth wealth to make one stand.
through prayer and toil riches in life came soon. Poverty was not her doom.
