I prayed to God for help and I put myself in a recovery house called Studio 12. It was for people in the business and you didn't have to have any money to go, which was good because I was broke.

Doing What - Money

I WOTE THIS ON 10-16-93 (EDITED)

Sure money can buy a car, a house, or even an expensive blouse,
can money buy true happiness?

There are people who waste money on illegal drugs to get them higher and higher,
yet from the Well where that money comes from tends to become
drier and drier, can money buy you emotional stability?

People are walking around without a decent pair of shoes,
a business man/woman loses all his/her money
in stock on Wall Street now he/she is crying the blues,
who strives for the needed money?

The United States is one big nation,
other lands coming to better their lives thru immigration,
parents putting out thousands for a child who doesn't want that
College education.
Is that money being used wisely or foolishly?

Families are living out on the street,
we all need shelter, medical, and a decent meal,
big money is being used to close large 'High Rise' business deals,
shouldn't good money be put out to help and to heal?

Some people are born into money,
I myself was not,
others earn their keep with hard earned labor,
eveyday I look to do a good deed for a friend, stranger or a neighbor,
I don't see it as having to ('owe You') ....
Now you see what money can do?

WE ALL NEED TO MAKE THE EFFORT TO MAKE SO SORT OF CHANGE IN THIS WORLD.
YET I KNOW IT'S HARD WHEN 'PEOPLE' IN GENERAL ARE ALWAYS LOOKING TO TAKE AND NOT WANT TO PITCH IN FOR NOTHING.....

Gethsemane

1914-18

The Garden called Gethsemane
In Picardy it was,
And there the people came to see
The English soldiers pass.
We used to pass -- we used to pass
Or halt, as it might be,
And ship our masks in case of gas
Beyond Gethsemane.

The Garden called Gethsemane,
It held a pretty lass,
But all the time she talked to me
I prayed my cup might pass.
The officer sat on the chair,
The men lay on the grass,
And all the time we halted there
I prayed my cup might pass.

It didn't pass -- it didn't pass --
It didn't pass from me.
I drank it when we met the gas
Beyond Gethsemane.

IN Gold We Trust

IN Gold we Must Trust

Eveything is about money
Money Honey Money
Eveything we can buy
Big nice house
Education and wonderful cars
Money is our loyal friend
when we need it
it never disappoint us
Honey Money
sweet like a fantasy
even people we buy with money
have the best medical treatments
judges and politicians
If i had a lot of Money
even if my face is sour
everyone will smile at me
Anyone will love me
and respect me
Nice women with money
Money bring a lot of money
even we can buy an airplane and fly alone
none bother us in everyday trafic
with money i don't have to get up early
i don't have to feel stress because of boss mood
with money i feel happy
but i regret didn't keep the love of money when i was child
i thought that there are things more important
i didn't have a damn clue about how they're precious and friendly
they are all we will get of good
the rest is ashes of happiness...illusions and fears

Whiskey To Words

sat in a painful place going through it
thinking all about that last audition
and I'm wishing that I never blew it
this dark night with whiskey in my system
has made me write, it did, and I knew it.
Dec is gone I wish he didn't do it!
I pray for artists not to be so hurt
and I prayed that I din't have to see
Decs coffin being carried into church,
I prayed for it not to be in the dirt.
I wish that things wern't so hard in this world.
and I wish my mum didn't have to work
I want her to be in a sunny place,
I'm sinking seeing people that I love
as they are sinking from the pooring rain
its hard to believe I will never see
or share a stage with Alexis again!
I wish, I wish, that I could get through this.
I wish the police could see that not all youths
are bad cause they wear hoodys and tracksuits.
God bless all the single mums on late shifts
the dark night we walk wouldn't be scary
if we burnt all pedoes and rapists!
and I know I can't make it all happen
but the rimes flow and the truth it hits me
it poors out as I poor out the whiskey
I always want to find a better place
if you want it too you can come with me
but sometimes people don't understand you
so for all the people who didn't believe
from the bottom of my heart I thank you
cause if you ignored me I won't blank you,
Cause I'm gone and don't know where to go
I found this drink in the kitchen cupboard
to drown my sorrows cause I feel so low!
wondering if this is how Declan felt?
Alone at home its like no one will help
not got money to go out its a joke
but it isn't funny cause I'm broke
I write this, read it back and I have my hope.

Money

Money money money
Everybody wants some
No money church can't run
Money for this
Money for that
No life without it
Can't sleep
She says hell
In this house
If she don't get it!

Before you get paid
Taxman grab it
Buy something
He grab it again
When money pressure hit
You cannot afford to get sick
Doctors want some
And if you dead without it
You will not be buried
Not even in the sticks

Money money money
It's like blood
It's the way world runs
Need money for food
Need money for fun
If you have no money
Blood a go run
Man join the army
To get some of it
Would be alive
If he had it

Money money money
Where is the money?
Have to get money
Before the day is done
Donkey cough
When you are broke
No money
Donkey don't eat
Everything stops
Earth can't turn
Have to have money
Even some to burn

Money money money
Where did it go?
Pocket is empty
And I just got paid
Maybe my woman took it
Thought I had it made
Thought I had a hundred
But I don't have twenty
Now I am in trouble
I have to leave yard
But I can't leave
If I don't have any

What a thing this is
Money! money! money!
Eh!

I would not have done, if I knew it earlier..

When you called me other day,
and told me your sad story,
I should have listened to you, not have done it.

When you called me middle of the night,
and told me that you had given up all hopes,
I should have listened to you only, not have done that.

When you came to my house,
cried your heart out,
I should have listened to you ONLY, not have done that.

When you made a hell out my weak heart,
pestered me to part the hard earned money,
I should have listened to you, not have lent the cash.

When I call you now,
You already changed your phone number,
several times.

When I come to your house,
your neighbors have become old,
and you shifted to a new house.

When I manage to get your new number,
and call you, you do tell me,
that I called the wrong number.

If I knew it earlier,
that you bargained my affection for money,
I would not have lent you the money,
at least I still have a friend or a relative intact.

Stick A Needle In My Eye

Im awfully tired of the same old business
Kiss the babies, make em cry
Im only lookin for one good woman
Cross my heart and hope to die
Stick a needle in my eye, eye, eye
Got a load of mashed potatoes
Holdin gravy like a fishin hole
I know something that might sound funny
I got no money and my buddys broke
I got no money and my buddys broke
Counterculture, mother vulture
Post toasties and a quart of beer
Im only looking for a place to go to
Somebody ask me what Im doin here?
Somebody ask me what Im doin here?
A boneless breast and a crispy thigh
Sittin at the bar n giving me the eye
Black crows on a garbage can
What kind of fella do you think I am?
Stick a needle in my eye, eye, eye
Im fallin in with bad companions
My mind is weak and my throat is dry
Thanksgiving in the grand canyon
Cant keep my fingers off that country pie
Im awfully tired of the same old business
Kiss the babies, make em cry
Im only lookin for one good woman
Cross my heart and hope to die
Stick a needle in my eye, eye, eye
Stick a needle in my eye, eye, eye

Don't Only Focus On The Money

When you go for the money,
You'll be selling your soul.
And when one goes for just the money,
The heart turns cold.
So don't focus on the money,
Don't.
Don't only focus on the money,
Don't.

Bling is nice but there's more to life.
Don't focus on the money,
Don't.
Open your mind with bright wide eyes,
To take a ride that will excite you.
With a view to greater heights.
So...
Don't focus on the money,
Don't.
No don't you focus on the money,
Don't.

When you go for the money,
You'll be selling your soul.
Don't focus on the money,
Don't.

Don't let your heart grow old and cold.
Don't focus on the money,
Don't.
So...
Don't you focus on the money,
Don't.
No don't you focus on the money,
Don't.
So...
Don't you focus on the money,
Don't.
No don't you focus on the money,
Don't.

Don't only focus on the money,
Don't.
No don't you focus on the money,
Don't.
So you just don't focus on the money,
Don't.
So you just don't focus on the money,
Don't.
No don't you focus on the money,
Don't.
Don't only focus on the money,
Don't.

'I feel funny when I don't have any money.'

Don't focus on the money,
Don't.
Don't only focus on the money,
Don't.
Don't you only focus on the money,
Don't.

Don't keep your focus on the fact that you always stay broke.
Don't focus on the money,
Don't.
Don't only focus on the money,
Don't.
Don't stay focused on the money,
Don't!
Don't keep your focus on the fact that you always stay broke.
Don't focus on the money,
Don't.

Complicated Lifestyle.

a man's life is simple.

he has a routine, like this: house, office, house.

he gets bored, adds another place,
like house, office, park, mall, house,

waste of money, but a little interesting, he adds more

a friend's house, another house where he can be intimate with someone,
then sex, and games and romance and betrayal and use and sue and
lots of booze,

he retreats back to house, office, house,

but it is not the same again.

he sins, feels so broke, and
to a certain extent
attempts at suicide.

sad, but it can happen to you.

I Prayed For You An Angel

I prayed for you an Angel
It's there watching over you
To help to console you
At times you are feeling blue

I prayed for you an Angel
To help to keep you in line
To keep you from all trouble
On days your sun won't shine

I prayed for you an Angel
To come from Heaven above
To comfort you in sorrow
And surround you with Gods love

I prayed for you an Angel
To make sure you'd be alright
To follow you everywhere
And take care of you day and night

I prayed for you an Angel
I didn't know what else I could do
So I just prayed a simple prayer
Telling God how much I still need you

I prayed for you an Angel
To help your heart to mend
God must have granted this prayer
For I still have you as my friend

Educated Stranger

The Educated Stranger

His dark eyes no longer smile, always well dressed,
he walks rapidly through town; speaks to people
but only briefly, and mostly about the weather.
Often he disappears for weeks, drives from town
to town it is as he is looking for something that he
will only know what is when he finds it.
His family, travelling folks, a close knit society he
accidently broke out of when he was persuaded
to seek higher education, he became different.
Travelers journey and he saw his people disappear
In a haze of road dust. A natural business flair,
he made money so he could retire early, and live in
a big house. His eyes scan the horizon, looking for
the irretrievable.

Due To Money

Due to money good friendships have come to an end
For money can make an enemy out of a friend
And due to money many are serving prison time
For money or lack of it leads many to serious crime
Due to money the Fifth Commandment has often been broken it does seem sad to say
That some with their lives due to money do pay
Those who say money is not important to reality not true
If you owe someone a lot of money for Court you are due
Whoever say money is not important believe their own lie
People have been bashed over money and left there to die
And people due to money feel happy to deceive
And that it does speak every language you ought to believe
Yes money out of a friend can make a foe
I am telling you something you already know.

I came thus far.

I prayed to the God;
I got enough blossoms.
It was the spring.
I prayed to the God;
I got a good bearing.
It was the summer.
I prayed to the God;
I got a bumper harvest.
It was the autumn.
I prayed to the God;
I got a sound sleep.
It was the winter.
By time I came thus far.
By faith I stood thus far.

There Is Something About 'Him

We are at a loss to explain how this could happen.
He had been an average child.
Who hasn't skipped school.
Maybe just every once in a while?
I didn't like school at all.

Only once did he burn down the house.
And like other boys,
He microwaved a few cats.

He only commited armed robbery twice.
And he did beat the minister,
For giving him poor advice.
The minister should have known that.
Needless to say,
We haven't advised him to go back.

So he pushed his teacher down the steps.
That teacher only broke two legs,
An arm...
But not her neck.
I didn't like that teacher myself.
She spoke to me with much disrespect.

And the neighbors next door,
Claimed he pistol whipped them.
Have you seen inside their house?
They are lucky that's all he did.

He is really a good kid.
He never meant to threaten us.
What will the sending him away eventually prove?
He is only going to learn what the other prisoners do.

We are good parents.
We'll make sure he improves!

'What are you going to do this time?
That the last twenty years didn't do.'

We all have sought counseling.
And so excited we are.
The counselor and our son...
Are now in a relationship too.

And...
There is something about 'him',
That seems to connect with our son!
So far...
We approve.
