I think if you are writing an instrumental you are dealing with more of an aesthetic in a sense but a lyric is more of a putting yourself on the line and a much more expensive exercise.

Lyric

Here comes my faith to carry me on
A faith not of grade
I fight to to stay strong so i
Stand accused of playing numb
I know it is wrong
For I give my strength
I give my heart
Take these chains
And hold them as ours
For I must shine
And I will a star
In a season all mine
A lyric, a time, a crusade, a line
One minute, a friend, a road without end
A lyric, a time, a crusade, a line
One minute, a friend, a road without end
So here is the view
I cast about
Im leaving no room
For you to get out
Youll never get out
Dove, cant you cry without an aside
?
I need you as my way
Across my life
To spend these years
Create a new thought
For I give you strength
And offer my heart
Take these chains
And hold them as ours
For Im a star
And I will shine
In a season all mine
A lyric, a time, a crusade, a line
One minute, a friend, a road without end
A lyric, a time, a crusade, a line
One minute, a friend, a road without end
A lyric, a time, a crusade, a line
One minute, a friend, a road without end
A lyric, a time, a crusade, a line
One minute, a friend, a road without end
A road without end

There’s Poetry In Writing A Winning Lyric' (And Great Satisfaction In Writing A Fine Poem)

I believe that if you can speak, you can write….,
So almost anyone can be a lyricist or a poet too…! ! !
Of course there’s talent involved…,
And some are blessed to have much more than others do….,
But if you can compose a letter, or hold a conversation….,
I feel you could write a song lyric or a poem….,
Now that doesn’t mean it’ll be top-notch….,
Or for that matter, even mediocre….,
But when you’re in a crowd or all alone….,
Try it…! ! !
Cause There’s Poetry In Writing A Winning Lyric….,
And Great Satisfaction In Writing A Fine Poem…! ! !

I Come Alive In Writing

I come alive in writing
Even if the writing means nothing to anyone else-
I come alive in writing
Even if I am totally deluding myself as to its value-
I come alive in writing
Even if at times while writing there is an underlying hopelessness and despair -

I come alive in writing
As if writing is what God has given me to do-
I come alive in writing
As if through it I can truly give to and help others-
I come alive in writing
As if life has meaning through it-

I come alive in writing
Even when I sense the writing is not good or great
As I would wish it to be.

Line By Line

Writing line by line
Can i capture the truth in rhyme
You tell me okay its fine
Whats fine my writings or the rhymes
Have you read enough this time
Rhyme line rhyme
Am i wasting my time
Do i even comprehend
The thoughts the static static
Inside my head
I send a piece to a friend
Or are they scared to offend
I need to know if its rubbish
Putting it out there to be published
Rhyme line verse
Do you speak the truth or were you coerced
So im taking you at your word
You have listened you heard
Line by line
Rhyme by rhyme
Can i be convicted of poetry crimes
For writing dribble
About nothing as long as it rhymes
Well thank you my friend
Here is another i am about to send
Read it and read it again
Maybe you can send on to a friend
Okay time to go
I have more pieces of dribble you know

Lyrics Of Life

In the song of life, all lyrics need a melody.

You are the lyric and you are the melody.
You are the lyric of my heart and of my soul.

The beauty of the rose, speaks a lyric of love.
Love, speaks a lyric of you.

The silent lyric of goodness, echoes from within you.
My heart, speaks the lyric of love...to only you.

Let the words...the lyric...that bind, pass between us.
Let the lyric, of you...of me...be as one.

A million words I can speak of you and the lyrics
would be the same...I love you now. I always will

The World And His Dog

(instrumental)
Windows are closing, you smell the track
Traffic is heavy
Up riding the rack
Bodies are buried, freeways and wells
Boneyards with vistas
Gateways to hell
When it's all over,
You'll frown and fret
Way down the line
Where no angels tread
Soldiers are gathering, not missing a beat
A poetry reading, while reaping the wheat
Out looking for Venus
She's black marble on ice
Cut to precision
Weighted like dice
When it's all over, You'll frown and fret
Way down the line, where no angels tread
Maybe you'll make it, maybe you won't
The world and his dog, won't care if you don't
(instrumental)
When it's all over,
You'll frown and fret
Way down the line, where no angels tread
Maybe you'll make it, maybe you won't
The world and his dog won't care if you don't
When it's all over,
You'll frown and fret
Way down the line, where no angels tread
(instrumental over and out!)

I Would Die For

Often I have heard people say
I would die for this and that
whenever material things
are too expensive or out of reach
and catches the eye.
If they died for these things
how much would they enjoy them?
They would be dead before they get them.
Now if we were going to put your life
on the line for something,
lets make it tangible real and alive,
not something that we can replace
tomorrow or at any time.
You cannot replace family or friends;
they are worth putting your life on the line for.
So the next time you see
something your heart desires to own,
don’t say I would die for that
because you can never enjoy it
when you’re dead and gone.
