The process of composition, messing around with paragraphs and trying to make really good prose, is hardwired into my personality.

It is also true that one can write nothing readable unless one constantly struggles to efface one's own personality. Good prose is like a windowpane.

Stop
You think you're lovely, I know that you're wrong.
God made me ugly, so don't string me along.
Give me the good stuff, I'll leave you the rest,
Send me the good stuff and I'll put you to the test,
I'm going to.....
Stop messing around, cos what have you found
On the dirty ground.
You think I'm stupid and I know that you're right,
Or else why would I lie here in this big hollow night.
Did god make it easy, so easy on you,
Were you sent here to please me, well it won't
Get you through, cos I'm going to
Stop messing around, cos what have I found
On the dirty ground.
You're going to stop messing around, cos what
have you found on the dirty ground.
Are we going to stop, are we going to stop,
Are we going to stop?

That’s Kids Just Messing Around
That’s Kids Just Messing Around
By: Adam J. Rubenstein
September 1009
State your name
State your claim
Tell me, from which you’ve came.
Manifest yourself
Never hide in vein
Set forth and shine
Now is the time
Stay on a righteous path
Never step on broken glass
Bite the tongue instead of l`as-shing out
Ask the kids what their day was about
Encourage, acknowledge, stand and be proud
Don’t beat,
Give em heat,
When they’re just messing around
It’s all in good fun;
It was done,
When we were young
They’re supposed to tear up the town
That’s kids, just messing around.

Poem Versus Prose
You do not like this poem
And I do not like your prose
Enough with your predicates
And your subjects
In this poem you will find
No commas and semicolons
This poem
Is armed with rhythms
Stanzas and shifts
This poem has no end
There are no colons
In this poem
Your prose is replete with nuances
This poem echoes
The plight of the oppressed
And dispossessed
In your prose I find parentheses
This poem speaks of life
Your prose can be edited
Cut this poem and it bleeds
You do not like this poem
And I do not like your prose
Prose has pauses and hyphens
Prose comes to a stop
This poem plugs images
Even in your head
Prose deals with fiction
And nonfiction
This poem can be heard
It can be felt
It speaks of hunger
Of hopelessness
Homelessness
It speaks of a bitter reality
You do not like this poem

My intention here is to make it clear that not a single cell of my composition, here in regard to The Raven, is found by chance or intuition, that the composition moved towards perfection with the precision and inevitability of a mathematical equation.

Two schools of thought.
.
The lady chose to take offence
Although I said she wrote fine prose
She may not know the difference
between poetry and prose
She thought that she wrote poetry
But what she wrote was free form prose.
I offered no apology
It was not my fault that she chose.
Not to learn the basic rules
defining prose and poetry
Two very different writing schools
in which to show your artistry.
The so called experts can’t agree
and coined the term poetic prose.
Though writing cannot possible
be classed as poetry and prose.
If it’s not metered it is prose
no matter how poetical.
But you’re entitled to compose.
Fine prose and call it poetry.
Though I suggest respectfully
you should be proud of writing prose.
As some do most successfully.
But it was poetry I chose

Words In Process
Painter of words
Orator of art
Emotional muse
Thought provoking bard
Pen and paper
Ode, sonnet, or prose
Enticing rhythm and
Meter that flows
Picturesque prose born of
Oral tradition.
Exacting devices used for
Tantilizing descriptions
Read for gradification
Yearning for ovation

Over The Top
Music :matthias jabs
Lyrics:matthias jabs
Down in the city
Where the girls look pretty
Some just like a miracle
Theyre so attractive
So hyperactive
But theyre cool and they talk cynical
Give me a chance
I dont want romance
Dont be so serious (oh nooo)
Lets get some action
Some real satisfaction
Youre so mysteroius
I cant wait any longer
Tonights the night
I want you to show me baby
Tonights the night
Now is the time, the time to go over the top
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around (over the top)
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around
Move around, around, around
Down in the city
Where the girls are pretty
Some just like a miracle
Oooh, Im on the road
Get out of control
Im losing my mind
Its time to get wild
Tonights the night
I want you to show me baby
Tonights the night
Now is the time, the time to go over the top
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around (over the top)
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around (over the top)
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around (over the top)
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around
Move around, around, around
Tonights the night
I want you to show me baby
Tonights the night
Now is the time, the time to go over the top
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around (over the top)
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around (over the top)
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around (over the top)
Youre running me down
And dont you ever stop messing around
Move around, around, around.

The message here was not about indeterminacy, nor about immediacy, but about the control of sounds right there in your environment, and the process of composition as long-term growth of interests within that sound complex.

My training in music and composition then led me to a kind of musical language process in which, for example, the sound of the words I play with has to expose their true meaning against their will so to speak.

There is poetry even in prose, in all the great prose which is not merely utilitarian or didactic: there exist poets who write in prose or at least in more or less apparent prose; millions of poets write verses which have no connection with poetry.

An unjust composition never fails to contain error and falsehood. Therefore an unjust connection of ideas is not derived from nature, but from the imperfect composition of man. Misconnection of ideas is the same as misjudging, and has no positive existence, being merely a creature of the imagination; but nature and truth are real and uniform; and the rational mind by reasoning, discerns the uniformity, and is thereby enabled to make a just composition of ideas, which will stand the test of truth. But the fantastical illuminations of the credulous and superstitious part of mankind, proceed from weakness, and as far as they take place in the world subvert the religion of REASON, NATURE and TRUTH.

The well-known fact that the form of a specific substance, e.g. water, and hence its properties can alter without a change in composition was disposed of by the formal view that a physical, not a chemical, process was involved.

Bad Rain
Dont come around here no more,
Bringing me all of your bad rain.
Cant you see Ive got troubles of my own.
I aint got time to be messing with all of your bad rain,
Why in the world cant you just leave that stuff alone?
There was a time we had a good thing going on,
You and I both know the reason why it all went wrong.
Tried to stick by you, help you see it through,
But you used me all up, now youre on your own.
So, dont come around here no more,
Bringing me all of your bad rain.
Cant you see Ive got troubles of my own.
I aint got time to be messing with all of your bad rain,
Why in the world cant you just leave that stuff alone?
Well I tried and tried again, to be good to you,
But you wont a hear a word and I dont know what its coming to.
Comes a time when you just have to turn and, walk away,
Theres nothing left to do, nothing left to say.
So, dont come around here no more,
Bringing me all of your bad rain.
Cant you see Ive got troubles of my own.
I aint got time to be messing with all of your bad rain,
Why in the world cant you just leave that stuff alone?
I aint someone to be preaching to nobody else,
Aint going to try and pretend to be living that clean myself.
Cant stand by and watch you throw your life away,
But theres nothing left to do, nothing left to say.
So, dont come around here no more,
Bringing me all of your bad rain.
Cant you see Ive got troubles of my own.
I aint got time to be messing with all of your bad rain,
Why in the world cant you just leave that stuff alone?
Why in the world cant you just leave that stuff alone?

My Poetry Has Become Prose
MY POETRY HAS BECOME PROSE
My Poetry has become Prose
I have lost my music
Nothing sings in me;
I have lost my richness of meaning
Nothing in me is not linear, flat and clear.
I have lost my poetry
And have become a writer of Prose
In pseudo Poetic Form-
There is in me no Line
That says more than itself-
I am Prose now not Poetry
And yet still secretly hoping
My inner irony will
In contradicting me
Save me.
