I think that Mos Def is the best actor, but when you talk about rappers in films, I don't really think the quality of the acting is most important because most rappers are put in movies because of the personality and people want to see that.

Candy and Music are the same
As a friend of mine said once music is like candy you have to throw away all the rappers. That friend of mine is right.
Music can make you smile, laugh and sad all at the same time but all the rappers take our music and add there cussing and dirty way then it can no longer be called music cuzz rappers take away the meaning and the emotion so now it is no more then some one yelling out cuss words and ditty things now I ask you please open your candy and throw away the rappers so all that is left is the sweet emotion

People said that way back in the early days I was probably one of the first rappers; the reason is that I couldn't sing, so I had to talk! Lou Reed was probably the one who started it all.
Fake People
Most people who have fame, make it big just so people will notice their names. They think if their lives are right, that they shouldn't care with people not living the good life.
Some help out the community because they want change.Others do it just to get a bit more fame.Rappers talk about having money and cars, but not caring for the people behind bars.
I believe that not everyone is the same.I want to to know, if all these people who are fake would act this way if they suffered a different fate.

Outro (feat. Mary J. Blige)
[Missy Elliott]
Check it
See I dont want to say that this is the end
Ill end by saying this is where well begin
Hip hop is a freedom of expression, not a freedom of depression
Can I make my one suggestion?
Look at how were labeled gangsta rappers
Is that their only impression? WAKE UP!!!!!
Rappers are craft art in a rappers sport
Someone like a game of basketball cant be taught
But yet we accept the name thug
Like thats fly
See how they covered our eyes?
Give us names to separate us
Sit back and watch us beef and make us hate us! SAY WHAT!?!?!
Im done talking
Mary J. Blige, let em know this is not a test
I hear you calling
[Mary J. Blige]
What you hear is not a test (Oooh!)
Im rocking to the beat (Im rocking to the beat)
See me and my crew and my friends
Were gonna try to move your feet (Move around, move around)
See I am Mary Blige and Id like to say, Hello (Thank you for inviting me)
To the black, to the white, the red and the brown, the purple and yellow.
But first you gotta
But first you gotta

I think every American actor wants to be a movie star. But I never wanted to do stupid movies, I wanted to do films. I vowed I would never do a commercial, or a soap opera - both of which I did as soon as I left the Acting Company and was starving.

I became an actor to escape my own personality. Acting is the most therapeutic thing in the world. I think all the courage that I may lack personally, I have as an actor.

Rappers of the house of hunger
Rappers of the house of hunger
Why do you rap me out of sleep
So early in the eerie morning?
The loveless day is filled
With dread and anger
The morning asks many questions
The night destroys and give
Only a morsel of the untruth
Who will the neighborhood
Serial killer kill today?
You see
This is what happens when
You apply to live in the city
You remember the chuff girl I
Brought here last time?
Her gray skeleton is
Used as the drinking
Calabash by the drunkard who occupies
The tall grass where you sleep
Death is your constant companion!
You think like those
Banyamulenge
You think bullets cannot penetrate
The fetish of your Bambara man
Mandingo bodies
You will die young
Rappers of the house of hunger
Can't you come up with
A proper African name
For your group of sharecroppers
Rappers of the house of hunger?
Zipping and unzipping like
That don't mean you're original
And the kill the president
Song you plagiarize
Is my own song my brothers and
You don't pay royalties in blood
Rapers of the house of hunger
Don't you know composers who go
Into restaurants with bombs
Strapped to their waists like me
Who creates rap poems
For the pleasure of the libido
And holds
The court of the magistrate of
The house of ill repute in contempt
Have no reputation and they
Don't qualify for anything
I have never won any price in
The form of The Bible in my life
Rappers of the house of hunger
Don't you know homeys
Me and the flying terrapin
Were born like Malcolm X to suffer?
And the government has shown old
Blues man me the scant respect of
The shoving out of the door
And they refuse to love me and
Give me pension in
My junior year of old age
You live off the disputed
Limping proceeds of the illegitimate
Polygamist practice of the poor
Fatherless origins of my music
You take my limpet mines stolen
Legacy poems and you recycle them
Back to me as your own
Rappers of the house of hunger
You will not live to see
The day of the urine's death you
Rappers of the house of hunger

It amazes me that there's been a fuss over me cursing when there's rappers talking about killing people.
I was studying to be an architect, I wasn't plotting to join the movies. Films were just another career option. I took acting up with the same schoolgirl enthusiasm I had for examinations. Acting is a job and I take it very seriously.

I understand what rappers are talking about. I think rap is less about educating people about the black community and more about making money.

Some of these things I saw in foreign films - African films, Cuban films - long before I decided to really go on this course as an actor. I started to think about what values I saw in those films that I wanted to bring to my projects.

It's important in selecting films that have that feeling behind them, there's a place for films that are just light and entertaining, but for me it's most important to find the films that will last.

Cause Im an mc rapper who gives you more
The big time rapper, sir too short

Because I rap originally
I never ever will, sing your rap
Ill leave it to you and its just like that
I sing my rap and I know you like
The way sir too short rocks the mic
The sucker mcs dont even front
Even though too short is what they want
Cause what I say is well prepared
I look at a rapper and I make him scared
Scared to battle, the cold cold capper
Ill even be part on a female rapper
Dont stop
Dont stop rappin
Too short
I dont stop rappin
C a l I f o r

I met a freak named jiggle g
Took her on a date and spent one penny
She bought me dinner, I bought her gum
Took her to my house to have some fun
I said jiggle g, your so fresh
You look so fine with your big big breasts
I spit my game to her so tough
Sir too short was coming up
I did just what I wanted to
But when I finished what did I do
I took her home, real real fast
I charged her up for wasted gas
I knew just what she had to say
Lets get together on our next pay day
Cuz like I said, I know whats happening
And you know too cause I dont stop rappin
Dont stop
Dont stop rappin
Sir too short
Spit that rap
Oh yes baby, Im the most
Sir too short from the west coast
My rap dont stop, it never could
Im known all in your neighborhood
As an mc rapper, right on time
Sucker mcs dont sing my rhymes
Cuz if they do, Ill be slapping
Sucker mcs cuz Im all about rappin
Dont stop
I dont stop rappin
Too short
Dont stop that rap
Mc rappers, from the o
You talk about short, but you dont know
If you rap original
I might kick back and watch your show
But if I did what would I see
A so fake and imitating sucka mc
In my face trying to rap like me
But none of you suckas can rock that beat
Cuz you stand there looking like a sap
And in your rap I hear my rap
The sucka mc must want my fame
Cuz he didnt stop rappin till he heard my name
Dont stop
I dont stop rappin
Too short
Dont stop that rap
Im sir too short on the mic
Gonna tell ya what kind of girls too short likes
I like those girls that are real real fine
Thick young tenders, yours and mine
Its not all about getting that steak
Cuz what is a girl without a lot of bank
A bump and a grind and shes on her knees
The way it is now you might catch a disease
Dont stop
Dont stop that rap
Sir too short
Dont stop that rap
I dont stop rappin, just dont stop
Dont stop rappin dont stop dont stop
Too short, so fresh
Ill show you how the game comes from the west
Cuz you never ever knew that it was going on
Till a brother like me put it in a song
And Im always fresh, never the same
Just dont stop that fishes game
Dont stop
Dont stop that rap
Too short
Dont stop that rap
Im sir too short, Im that mc
Fresh again, with the beat
Im the big bank roller, I know whats happening
I get on the mic and I dont stop rapping
