The world is changing and the physical barriers are down now. It's time for the emotional barriers to go down. And what better place to start than school?

High built barries

Barriers built so high.
For noone to get around.
Noone will see.
This creature in distress.
Noone can see how much I hurt.

With barries built
A million feet high.
With a slight sigh.
Noone can reach me.
They cant get in my head.

Barriers so high.
For noone to get around.
Barries built in
Built all around me.

Barriers keep me safe.
No one can get in.
No one can take me.
With my barriers so high

The Small Hours

(originally recorded by holocaust)
Look out at the darkness, and you will see
Just call my name and Ill be there
You cannot touch me, you would not dare
I am the chill thats in the air
And I try to get through to you, in my own special way
As the barriers crumble, at the end of the day, a-ha
Dark rivers are flowing, back into the past
You are the fish for which I cast
And what of the future, what is to be
As the rivers flow into the sea
And I try to get through to you, in my own special way
As the barriers crumble, at the end of the day
Do not take for granted, powers out there
Dont step into the demons lair
Time is an illusion, rising from time
Steep is the mountain which we climb
And I try to get through to you, in my own special way
As the barriers crumble, at the end of the day

But, yeah, as far as Asian Americans go, I hope they know they can look at me and see that they can do music on their own, within a band or just on their own, and not feel like there's any barriers. I've never felt any particular barriers myself, being who I am.

Belong

If you know
You've always
Belonged to him,
How does it matter
If they say,
You cannot go to him?

Wherever he is
In this universe
Are you not
Already there
With him?

Belongingness is such
It breaks all barriers…
Or shall I go a bit further
And say, it's beyond all
Barriers…

If you belong to him,
Let alone death, even
God cannot separate
You from him.

Belongingness remains
The oneness remains…
Beyond age
Beyond time
Beyond birth
Beyond all sins
And virtues…
Beyond all earthly crime.

It's a heavenly
Feeling…
Beyond eternity…
Timeless, ethereal,
Spiritual…
So divine and sublime.

Dream of Me

Dream of me
In your nights, love
Dream of me
Even with open eyes, love
Dream of me
As if it were the last enchantment
The last miracle now

Dream of me
To carry me always
Inside the instant
And to never remain alone
Dream of me
As is it were the last enchantment
For you...
For me...

It is love that goes
Knocking on every heart
Making it come alive again and die...

It is love that goes
Breaking barriers
And it has
No race, no flags
No age

Dream of me
You who are my dream, love
Dream of me
As if I were your refuge
Dream of me
Beyond all distances and all limits
Live me each instant and still

Dream of me
In the transparency of the oceans
Of you imaginary journeys...
Dream of me
Every time that I cannot be
With you
Because

It is love that goes
Knocking on every heart
Making it come alive again and die...

It is love that goes
Breaking barriers
And it has
No race, no flags
No age

Dream of me
Love has no barriers
Dream of me
Love has no race
Dream of me
Love has no flags
Dream of me
Love has no age.

The Infant Kiss

Say good night-night
I tuck him in tight.
But things are not right.
What is this? an infant kiss
That sends my body tingling?
Ive never fallen for
A little boy before.
No control.
Just a kid and just at school.
Back home theyd call me dirty.
His little hand is on my heart.
Hes got me where it hurts me.
Knock, knock. whos there in this baby?
You know how to work me.
All my barriers are going.
Its starting to show.
Let go. let go. let go.
I cannot sit and let
Something happen Ill regret.
Ooh, he scares me!
Theres a man behind those eyes.
I catch him when Im bending.
Ooh, how he frightens me
When they whisper privately.
(dont let go!)
Windy-wailey blows me.
Words of caress on their lips
That speak of adult love.
I want to smack but I hold back.
I only want to touch.
But I must stay and find a way
To stop before it gets too much!
All my barriers are going.
Its starting to show.
Let go. let go. let go.
(dont let go!)

Emotional Bullies

We should not be undercover,
To announce the recovery of another's blame.
When will we begin to look up and over,
Our own barriers?
With sensitivities we should question,
The need to protect and defend them.

Shame begets what shame gets to be 'gotten'.
In return.
What other lesson do we need to learn,
But 'that'?
And all lessons learned are together attached.

Something in our minds disconnected.
To trigger quick and snap!

We should not be undercover,
To announce the recovery of another's blame.
We should at least be maintaining our own dignity.
Self-respect.
And a proud identity.
Flaunted!
And undaunted by the implementation of those insecurities!
And who hasn't had those?

LIES!
If you live you have had those!
And please...
No debate with me do I invite,
On the topic of 'Which Side of Ignorance Is Right'

It is what it is.
So if that makes you uptight...
Go somewhere and backbite me.
I see the thought of it enlightens your eyes.
I'm sure your lips would prepare,
Something with venom..
If I called you a 'fool'.

Would that get you there any sooner?

We should not be undercover,
To announce the recovery of another's blame.
When will we begin to look up and over,
Our own barriers?

When are we going to come to challenge one another,
To overcome and defend the right to mend within us?
That is the real fear.
And that makes us all not want to come face to face,
With an ugliness we all see in ourselves.

And that takes work.
To self examine.
In the convenient fields of doubt.
With,
Initiative and desires unknown!
And hope with wishes knocked out of practiced.
As over rehearsed sorrows about who did who wrong...
Remains centerstage.
Provoked by new lines found on someone's cellphone.

'I just love the way drive.
With so much compassion.'

When are we going to come to challenge one another,
To overcome and defend the right to mend within us?
God knows...
What is on stage right now has long required re-writes.
With a consistent updating, scrub and polish.

'...I haven't been driving too long.
Infact, you are my second passenger.'

We should not be undercover,
To announce the recovery of another's blame.
When will we begin to look up and over,
Our own barriers?
And 'own up' to that which we do,
To reveal the same thoughts being shared.

But what is not there has been purposely kept away.

LOVE!
When never known,
Can not be there to share unconditionally.
It has to under conditions met,
Be shown.
With committment!
Desire.
Hot.
But not to overheat kept respect.

We should not be undercover,
To announce the recovery of another's blame.
When will we begin to look up and over,
Our own barriers?
Our own deliberating and limited intentions,
To free what it is that we don't want to feel.
It is not wanted!
Why is it there?

To free what it is that we don't want to feel.
And welcome what it is that we do,
Wish.
To feel.
We should at least be maintaining our own dignity.
Self-respect.
And a proud identity.
Flaunted!
Undaunted,
By the implementation of those insecurities!
And who hasn't had those to chase away?
Insecurities?
Emotional bullies.

Insecurities?
Emotional bullies.
Same 'thang'!
Get rid of 'em!

We should not be undercover,
To announce the recovery of another's blame.
Or an addicting unconsciousness,
That leaves us entrapped within our own barriers?
And a lot of paranoia has been known,
To be shown from that.

The Barrier

I had this barrier that kept us apart
I built this barrier to protect my heart
So much pain that it had saw
And in my memory banks did it store.

All the heartaches that it had been thru
Trying to get next to you.
These barriers have been compromised
And the pains refuse to subside.

What do I do without you by my side
Do I have the strength, should I continue to try.
What did I do, what did I say
That you turned and walked away.

Every time I hear your name
It brings back the memories and the pain.

You said that you would always love me
You’d always be true, but you left
And broke my heart in two.

So many roads I have traveled
So many mountains I did climb
So many tears I have shed
And still I do not find
The spirit that’s inside of me
Hiding in my soul
This is what they tell me
Which will make my life unfold.

So I take down these barriers
They no longer have any use that I see
In the hopes that my heart
will again be happy and free.

The Trail Of Love

There is a region in the World
Which has no boundaries
Nor barriers either physical or mental
Restricting the passage of pilgrims
To the hollowed land
Of communication...

One cannot arrive
By boat or engine
Nor fly on the steel wings
Of bird machines
For there is one transport
And it takes two
To travel the inspiration of love...

Come! The path
Clears before us,
It is near! Hand in hand,
Let's discover the way
To each other-
Over a single trail,
We will walk the direction
Of share purpose...

I Am Not Here To Revisit Your Limits

I want it known...
I didn't appear here,
To be absent from view.
I want it known by you,
Everything I do...
Is to show you and prove,
I didn't come to revisit your limits.
Or restrict my wishes to live,
Within barriers you've picked.
I refuse to accept it.

Fear and the thought of threats with anguish,
Are not for me delicious treats to feed consistently...
On any basis you face with convincing conviction.
You are going to find a leaving that behind,
With me...
A done deal.
And this is not an appeal for your opinion.

I didn't come to revisit your limits.
Or restrict my wishes to live,
Within barriers you've picked.
I refuse to accept it.
Come on...
Debate with me later.
But I am sure in your mind,
Little time you will find for that.

Come on...
I am not here to revisit your limits.
