I like normal stuff people fear - like spiders and heights. I'm frightened by the unknown, by things that are hard to figure out and get a grip on.

Unknown
This unknown figure...
This unknown place...
Where am I at anyways?
This unknown feeling that I have,
This unknown pain inside;
I can't run away from.
Unknown heart, Unknown soul,
All unknown and all gone.
Sadden by all of this and all that's left..
Is me with no feeling...
I'm gone and lost and can't find a way out!
I'm an unknown person,
And an unknown girl who can't be seen.
I'm invisible, I'm a nobody,
I'm an unknown figure to people.
I'm gone forever and ever...right?

Learning To Ride
learning to ride
whatever
you always have
a fear an attempt
and a fall
from time to time
wherever whenever
so normal
falling and
hurting yourself
after trial & error
riding becomes
too familiar
and you like it
maybe but for
a time
riding is nothing
but a thing
we always do
because we simply
have to
then just as when
the fear is lost
you sleep & leave
the excitement
you take
things as daily
boring matters
and there you
lose
the grip of cautiousness
about what was
once exciting &
even fearful
that is when
the accident happened
the time
when everything
is so normal
routinary
boring
you may even
kill yourself.

Fear
Fear is a scary thought that we chose to ignore
What causes it we can't seem to be sure
How does fear get to us how does it start?
Why is it when we think we've over come it theres always another part?
Does fear ever go away does it ever leave us alone?
Or as soon as it's gone it comes rushing back and is once again shown
I'm sure we could live without it or at least try
But fear makes us who we are not knowing why
So what if we're scared of spiders or heights
Everyones scared of something otherwise we wouldn't be right

Spiders In The Night
Spiders in the night
Creeping round the walls
Now you'll feel him
Crawling over you
Creepy crawly things
Filling up your bed
Soon you'll feel him
Crawling through your brains
You think he's there
Beware his bite
But when you look
The spider's not in sight
Spiders reappear
Taking peoples names
Everything is taken down insane
There's no way out
And there's no key
But here's a clue
The spider's really me
You're written in his book
The spider won't forget
You won't forget
The spiders in the night
The end is going night
Itsy witsy friends
The spiders disappearing from the night
You think he's gone
You think he's dead
There's no escape
The spiders in your head
All the spiders in the night
All the spiders in the night
All the spiders in the night

A lot of people have gotten into comedy because of certain influences in their lives or events that were painful, and I really have wracked my brain to figure it out. I pretty much have had a normal childhood. Maybe it was too normal.

Believe It Or Not
Believe it or not, everyone, have things that they hide
Believe it or not, everyone, keep most things inside
Believe it or not, everyone, believes in something above
Believe it or not, everyone, needs to feel loved
Feel loved, but we don't and we won't until we figure out
Could someone deliver us, and send some kind of sign
So close to giving up, 'cause faith is so hard to find
But you don't and you won't, until we figure out
Seen it or not, every time, the world turns upside down
Believe it or not, most of us, feel like we're losing ground
Believe it or not, everyone, hate admitting fear
Believe it or not, most of us, wanna know why we're here
Why we're here, but we don''t and we won't until we figure out
Could someone deliver us, and send some kind of sign
So close to giving up, 'cause faith is so hard to find
Someone deliver us, and send some kind of sign
So close to giving up, 'cause faith is so hard to find
But you're young and you won't, until we figure out
Most of us have nothing to complain about
Most of us have things we could live without
Everyone needs advice on how to get along
You know we won't until we figure out
[Instrumental]
Believe it or not everyone
Believe it or not, everyone, have things that they hide
Believe it or not, everyone, keep most things inside
Believe it or not, everyone, believe in something above
Believe it or not, everyone, needs to feel loved
Feel loved, well we don't and we won't until we figure out
Could someone deliver us, and send some kind of sign
So close to giving up, 'cause faith is so hard to find
Someone deliver us, and send some kind of sign
So close to giving up, 'cause faith is so hard to find

Letting it all hang out!
They all exalt in normal
they do not like the weird,
they slander anybody
who's slightly out of gear.
They all berate the odd ball
that stands out from the crowd.
You've seen odd balls at parties
hung loose, all odd and loud.
The odd ball talks excitedly
about his odd ball ways
The things that other people fear
or find a trifle strange.
They say that he's not normal,
they snigger and they grin
but he'd rather be an odd ball
than normal, just like them.

The question is not whether you're frightened or not, but whether you or the fear is in control. If you say, 'I won't be frightened,' and then you experience fear, most likely you'll succumb to it, because you're paying attention to it. The correct thing to tell yourself is, 'If I do get frightened, I will stay in command.'

Got To Give It Up
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff
Tell my mama and tell my pa
That their fine young son didnt get far
He made it to the end of a bottle
Sitting in a sleazy bar
He tried hard but his spirit broke
He tried until he nearly choked
In the end he lost his
Bottle drinking alcohol
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff
Tell my brother I tried to write and
Put pen to paper but I was frightened
I couldnt seem to get the words out right
Right quite right
Tell my sister Im sinking slow
Now and again I powder my nose
In the end I lost my bottle
It smashed in a casbah
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff
Ive been messing with the heavy stuff
For a time I couldnt get enough
But Im waking up and its wearing off
Junk dont take you far
Tell my mama Im coming home
In my youth Im getting older
And I think its lost control
Mama Im coming home
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff
Ive got to give it up Ive got to give it up
That stuff

Losing My Grip
Loosing My Grip
Hoobastank
(The Scorpion King)
All the questions
I went through
I never told myself the truth
I turned my back
On you and me
'Cause I was scared to see
That we weren't
Who we used to be
So now I'm
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
But I can't seem to
Loosen my grip
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
Let you go, go
Feeling emptiness inside
A part of me already died
But I pretended to go on
Like everything's ok
And all we built began to fall
As I began to lose it all
Shut my eyes
And set me free
'Cause I was scared to see
That we weren't
Who we used to be
So now I'm
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
But I can't seem to
Loosen my grip
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
Let you go, go
You're all that
I ever wanted
You're everything
That I need
But now it's finally over
Time for goodbyes
I needed so now I'm
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
But I can't seem to
Loosen my grip
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
Let you go, go

News From Hank
Have recieved disturbing letter
From Hank
As follows:
Dear All
Misfortune has struck
Terrible blow
Fell asleep on container lorry
I am in Hamburg
German spiders not friendly to Brits
I fear racism is rife here
Have tried to blend in
But it’s hard to march with eight legs
Met a Frenchy in the Reeperbahn
Helps out in a transvestite bar
Only safe place he said
Whore’s and spiders
They don’t care
If you march or scuttle
Sooner or later the degradation has you
Dragging yourself around
On your knees
Hard for a spider
I shouldn’t end like this
Have tried to leave
But German drivers are hot on stow aways
I pointed out I’m only a spider
They snorted
Spiders, Albanians
They’ve all got the same sorry story
Bottom line
The Euro is the Euro to Germans
Please send fare
If not send cyanide tablet
They’ll get me soon
Here, they have no apathy towards foreigners
And I fear I’d crack under pressure
Or Jack boots
Love Hank
We’ve sent the fare of course.

Fear.
I live each day in constant fear.
In fear of the hospitals,
The doctors and the professionals.
In fear of this incurable disease,
And the death it will bring.
Each day I fear the next.
But I survived yesterday,
I'm surviving today.
Maybe it's not my time to die.
Yet I can't help but think,
Maybe tomorrow is my last.

We suddenly saw how people reacted in the event of massive social upheaval, and the way that the little problems in your life don't go away. You don't stop being frightened of spiders just because the world's blown up.

What is sadness
Sad is when people don’t take action;
averting ones emotions
sad is that some people fear the unknown,
afraid of getting hurt
shutting themselves in
hoping,
hoping things work themselves out.
Pathetic.
Fearing the unknown or ignoring reality
if they only knew
why I am so sad...
Figured You Out
I like your pants around your feet
I like the dirt that's on your knees
I like the way you still say please
While you're looking up at me
You're like my favourite damn disease
I love the places that we go
I love the people that you know
I love the way you can't say no
Too many long lines in a row
I love the powder on your nose
And now I know who you are
It wasn't that hard
Just to figure you out
And now I know who you are
It wasn't that hard
Just to figure you out
I like the freckles on your chest
I like the way you like me best
I like the way you're not impressed
While you put me to the test
I like the wine stains on your dress
I love the way you pass the check
I love the good times that you wreck
I love your lack of self respect
While you're passed out on the deck
I love my hands around your neck
And now I know who you are
It wasn't that hard
Just to figure you out
And now I know who you are
It wasn't that hard
Just to figure you out
I like your pants around your feet
I like the dirt that's on your knees
I like the way you still say please
While you're looking up at me
You're like my favourite damn disease
I hate the places that we go
I hate the people that you know
I hate the way you can't say no
Too many long lines in a row
I hate the powder on your nose

Just to figure you out

Fear Is Kinda Cool
Fear is a normal feeling
That nobody needs dealing
Fear is kinda cool
I'm not talking about when you drool
Fear makes people different from each other
So no one is like one another
Fear is not bad
So don't try to hide it with a hat

Humans always have fear of an unknown situation - this is normal. The important thing is what we do about it. If fear is permitted to become a paralyzing thing that interferes with proper action, then it is harmful. The best antidote to fear is to know all we can about a situation.

Nicklin’s Torment
I woke up in a cold sweat
and turned on the light.
A shadow was moving over me,
cast by a spider of the night.
By the time I’d blinked
it’d vanished from view,
but then I saw a larger one,
followed by another two.
I closed my eyes for a moment
hoping they would disappear.
When I slowly reopened them
the bedroom was spider clear.
With my hand I mopped my brow
and then saw several more,
they were crawling on the ceiling
and marching across the floor.
I told myself that I was dreaming
or suffering from withdrawal,
but that didn’t stop the spiders
from crawling up the wall.
Sweat dripping from my brow
was stinging in my eyes.
Spiders were now on my bed
at my feet and on my thighs.
The whole room was full of spiders,
on the ceiling, walls, and floor.
My bed was covered and so was I.
I screamed stop! But out came even more.
Spiders crawling on top of spiders,
in my mouth, nose and ears,
their scary eyes staring into mine,
I was choking with utter fear.
I tried in vain to fight them off,
but my hand didn’t move a one.
I must have blacked out just then,
when I awoke they had all gone.
Things are becoming better now
and the spiders are getting less.
I’m told they’ll eventually go for good,
along with my shakes, thirst, and mess.
