Whether or not we can save Lake Michigan, whether or not we can avoid a breakdown in our criminal justice system are more important than whether or not I'm going to be governor.

Breakdown
Breakdown, shakedown again
Breakdown, over you
Breakdown, way down again
Breakdown, over you, over you
Just when our love appeared to be
Growing strong
And just when you believed that
We both belonged
You catch me out a cheating and
Foolin round
You find that Im lyin
I feel like Im dyin
Here I come cryin again
Breakdown, shakedown again
Breakdown, over you
Breakdown, way down again
Breakdown, over you, over you
I put you through this whole
Affair before
I broke it up, you broke it up even more
Then I begged you to patch it all
Up again
Why did you listen to me
You should have let it all be
You shouldnt put all your trust me
Breakdown, shakedown again
Breakdown, over you
Breakdown, way down again
Breakdown, over you, over you
Breakdown, let down again
Breakdown, over you
Breakdown, straight down again
Breakdown, over you, over you

Words & music: michael w. smith and wayne kirkpatrick
Wasnt it long ago
Wasnt it on a new england coast
Wasnt it the standard - people praying to
The son and the father and the holy ghost
One nation over god
Is that what weve now become?
The founding fathers left a noble legacy
To their sons and daughters
To their sons and daughters
Look at what weve done
Look at what weve done
Chorus:
Breakdown, breakdown, breakdown
As we learn to bite the hand
That tries to feed us
Breakdown, breakdown, breakdown
If we say that we are free
Who will believe us
If we breakdown, breakdown, breakdown
Breakdown, break
See the powder on the glass
See the pillow on the street
See the charter of a modern love
With no obligations...or promises to meet
Hear the fear of disease
Hear the baby never born
Hear a people crying out
Somebody save us - oh, please somebody save us
From what were headed for - from what were headed for
Chorus
Breakdown, breakdown, breakdown
As we learn to bite the hand
That tries to feed us
Breakdown, breakdown, breakdown
Chorus

I therefore believe that our system does not have a word for failed trial, and that is where the American public does not realize that our criminal justice system sometimes makes mistakes.

In Michigan
Well my mother rolled over and died in michigan
My dog got hit by a truck and I cried in michigan
I got drunk and puked up my guts in michigan
But Im alright, Im alright, Im alright, Im alright
And man Im riding here tonight in michigan
I ran a race and came in dead last in michigan
Yeah, I shot myself in the ass in michigan
I was lookin for someplace to feel free but they busted my for just
Being me in michigan
But alright, its alright, its alright, its alright
And baby Im riding high tonight in michigan
I ran into a little bad luck in michigan
I met a woman ? ? ?
Baby Im running late but you got here one hell of a state
In michigan
Oh michigan

Delete Youth Criminal Justice Act Oct 24th,2012
Delete Youth Criminal Justice Act Oct 24th,2012
By
James Bredin
We can't publish the young criminal's name despite his many crimes,
Can't change the Youth Criminal Justice Act, no matter how many times,
As they announce more publication bans for politically correct,
Add that to no-death-with-dignity, no matter whom we elect.
Then add that to a court system that moves at a snail's pace,
More time for criminals awaiting trial - another slap in our face,
And lawyers claiming Charter Rights for every Tom, Dick and Harry,
We are our own worst enemy and it's more than we should carry.
Therefore the Youth Criminal Justice Act should now be scrapped,
Not fiddled with or amended as more criminals and lawyers laugh,
With compulsory sentences, bigger jails and faster courts,
No more publication bans from politically-correct sorts.

The American people do not want people thumbing their nose at the law. It undercuts the very fabric of our society and the system of civil justice and of criminal justice as well.

Lazy Eye
The world spins round the secret lives
Of everyone that needs to hide
A cheap parade of endless lies
Filters through this lazy eye
And I dont believe in signs
No, I dont believe your lies
Caught in the breakdown
Caught in the breakdown
Caught in the breakdown
Caught in the breakdown
Lose yourself in no ones life
Trapped in nowheres empty light
Words like fists that tear you down
Crash before we hit the ground
And I dont believe in signs
No, I dont believe your lies
Caught in the breakdown
Caught in the breakdown
Caught in the breakdown
Caught in the breakdown
And I dont believe in signs
No, I dont believe your lies
No, I dont believe your lies
Caught in the breakdown
Caught in the breakdown

Kicks
The fishermen on Lake Michigan, sometimes,
For kicks, they spit two hunks of bait on hooks
At either end of a single length of line
And toss that up among the scavenging gulls,
Who go for it so fast that often two of them
Make the connection before it hits the water.
Hooked and hung up like that, they do a dance
That lasts only so long. The fishermen
Do that for kicks, on Lake Michigan, sometimes.

Exercise is really important to me - it's therapeutic. So if I'm ever feeling tense or stressed or like I'm about to have a meltdown, I'll put on my iPod and head to the gym or out on a bike ride along Lake Michigan with the girls.

Justice Be My Hero
She rose out the water finally.
Justice got tired of the underwater crulity,
drowning and gasping for air all those years,
she couldn't survive one more day underwater
justice needs to finally come back to land.
This land is not free because justice was gone
justice left and then everything then had a price tag,
even my people had price tag on them.
But no longer shall this go on!
Justice will return for us and save us
justice is the hero of this nation
without her we become nothing but slaves
we become money for others as we starve to death!
I dream of the day when I'm allowed here
where justice will be the ruler of us
when I will be looked only as a human being
and not have to deal with judgement
or be a slave to people.
Justice be my hero and save me
save not only me but others
others that been accused of wrong doing
when actually they have done nothing wrong.
so please justice return and save us all.

Death Row
Guilty by association
Guilty due to unusual circumstances
Guilty by act of contrition
Keep on taking chances
Some lives are not important
Justice is purchased like hot bagels
If you are poor, you can easily find yourselves under the barrels
Some lives are not important
The bulldozer has plenty of time to differentiate
To choose, to pick and to discriminate
Be at the wrong place at an odd time
Is enough to find a pauper guilty of a first degree crime
It is criminal to be on death row
It is illegal and unconscionable to be so low
When the subject is forced to admit guilt
Where Judge and Prosecutors, members of the cult
Plot to convict an innocent bystander
Some lives are not important
This is sad, the jurors are the clowns of the slaughter house
A human being wearing trousers and a white blouse
Should not be treated like a nymph of the meteor crater.
In reality, under the clouds, there is no justice
Somewhere under the cave, there is a long list
Of countless children of the gods
Which have been executed by all types of cruel methods
Some lives are not important
“Thou shall not kill”, is no longer part
Of the Ten Commandments. The machine has no heart
No soul and no sense of fairness
Some lives are not important
This society of savagery and wilderness
Has to change for the better. The killing has to end
The lynching has to stop. Serious men and women must amend
The Constitution to protect the entire population
No one has the right to kill; the Institution
Ought to do a much better job than in the past
Some lives are not important
The system must be fair, blind and just at last
Blame lions, leopards and tigers, not the sheep
Injustice is too expensive and justice too cheap
It is too easy to accuse, condemn and execute
Bring the Bible, the Koran to teach the Blind and the Mute.

Total Breakdown
Total breakdown.
In respect.
Total breakdown.
In discipline one should get.
Total breakdown.
Of relationships.
Keeping one happy and safe...
Would be a miracle to escape,
Any cracks appearing in it.
Total breakdown.
Of societies!
Without outside interference,
To proclaim how they should or should not be.
Total breakdown.
Witnessed in mentalities.
And bad diets can be the reason.
Bad diets can account for most of these.
Total breakdown.
Complete.
With few left to mend,
The inefficiencies.

Juvenile Courts Aug 13th,2012
The Youth Criminal Justice Act replaced the Young Offenders Act,
Politically correct politicians did it all to distract,
One useless law replaced by another and that's a fact,
Left leaning Liberals and their followers had a quiet pact.
Publication bans - no names - are frequent and no questions asked,
Young offenders often walk out of court unknown as though still masked,
Allowed to apologize or compensate and charges withdrawn,
The public don't know anything so therefore can't catch on.
Very few Canadian criminals spend much time in prison,
The soft system, laws and judges won't allow them to be imprisoned,
Crown attorneys bargain away most of the criminal charges,
This allows many of proceedings to end up in no-fault discharges.
With so few consequences; why change a criminal career?
Nobody knows about the vicious crimes and the coast is clear,
Dangerous offender designation banned and not allowed,
So unknown juvenile criminal offenders can still feel proud.
