If the destination is heaven, why do we scramble to be first in line for hell?

Highway To Heaven
A beginning without an end
Is a meaning to something infinite
I have ran out of solutions
And came to this conclusion
My destination is highway to heaven
There used to be light at the end of the tunnel
Now it’s all so dark
And where I am going there is no turning back
My destination is highway to heaven
Head in the clouds hoping, praying for better days
Because I know in God’s hands lie my destiny
My destination is highway to heaven
To built up the pressure, grow a conscience
And then turn the man into an intellectual psychopath
So he could be acknowledge by those who are blocking his way
My destination is highway to heaven
To go through what I have been through
And then collapse
Well hell, I’m on my way to heaven.

Final destination
Final destination
I guess we all have a few
Whether it coming to pivotal point
In life or finally deciding what to do
Some call heaven or hell
Our final destination
I guess, that a partial truth
I believe when one gets to heaven there
Joy yet work to do
Therefore no one knows the extent of travel
One would have to do
Now, there's hell, and there
You can't be through
For all of eternity,
the deep hold of darkness
Rules and mutilates you
There's no rest
Neither departure
So how can you be through?
For your mind will travel yet
Reminding you of all you use to do.
Final destination
Now there's a new scope
One thing for sure
The outcome of it all
Is strictly up to you!

My destination
My destination is life at the end of the line
My destination is graduation when it’s time
My destination is my diploma I bet I get mine
My destination is to stop with the lay back being cool
My destination is to reach to top of the school
When you reach the top I want you to look over and have in your hand a four leaf clover
As you step on the edge and start to look down turn around fall back make no sound
So the next destination you reach is the ground

Heaven Is Hell Without You
Why don't you come here?
Why don't you see me?
Why won't you call me?
Why won't you free the inner thought?
I have not spoken
In quite a few days
But you have not answered
Have you nothing to say?
Heaven is Hell without you
Oh yes I know it is true
Heaven is Hell without you
What can I do?
You have not tried to
Reach out to see me
How can I trust you?
Long as you don't free inner thoughts
Heaven is Hell without you
Oh yes I know it is true
Heaven is Hell without you
What can I do?
Paradise falling
Into sweet demise
You cannot answer
I cannot stand the paranoia
Oh yes I know it is true
Heaven is Hell without you

One & The Same
Feat. ndea davenport
One and the same, one and the same
I wish I could see beyond the filthy blue horizon, see what lies ahead of me
Perhaps Id see the path of my own destruction
And avoid my destiny, she said heaven and hell is one and the same boy
She told me heaven and hell, boy, was one and the same
We all meet somewhere in the middle
She told me heaven and hell, boy, is one and the same
I said it cant be true
I wish I could touch you in some totally new fashion
Who are you girl, Im a man, now I cant guarentee your complete satisfaction
So Im gonna do you the very best way I can
She said heaven and hell is one and the same, boy
She told me heaven and hell, boy, is one and the same
We all meet somewhere in the middle
She told me heaven and hell, boy, is one and the same
I said it cant be true
Wish I could find some time to stop and smell the roses
My landlord wont let me be, my head is full of paranoia
New roses, tryin to consume my identity
She said heaven and hell is one and the same, boy
She told me heaven and hell, boy, is one and the same
We all meet somewhere in the middle, yes we do
She told me heaven and hell, boy, is one and the same
I said it cant be true, it just cant be true

They’re Both Very Real
Hell dear friend, is a very real place, one with an eternal destination,
There you’ll never see God’s face, but, from Him, a total separation,
Where you find an absence of Grace, for you rejected His salvation,
That way of minds spiritually abase; darkened souls of every nation.
Heaven friend, is the opposite side, for all who trust in Jesus Christ,
When every soul, although they died, enter with God into eternal life,
For The Lamb of God was crucified, to become for all His Sacrifice,
And “It is Finished” Christ had cried, when for men He paid the price.
The testimony of Jesus’ own voice, is Eternal Life to us God giveth,
So today it becomes our choice, to be made before our last breath,
One to eternally weep, or to rejoice, as we enter eternal life or death,
When we listen to The Spirit’s voice, God gives to us Eternal Breath.
These places are not of man’s design, and both friend, are truly real,
The duration of both, is eternal in time, which is why to men I appeal,
And don’t look to reason or rhyme, on how they both make you feel,
In faith, just believe to step in line, and God can give to you His zeal.
Friend, every eye shall one day see, regardless of what they believe,
In Heaven or Hell, for all of Eternity, is what their belief shall achieve,
Hell is where Satan wants all to be, as souls he continues to deceive,
But Heaven is ours through Calvary, when in Christ we simply believe.

Destination Unknown
Im getting outta here cause theres too many complications
Yeah Im getting outta here dont get driven any information
And if they ask you for a number to call just say Im gone thats all
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home
Destination unknown, Ill be gone, gone, gone
Destination unknown, destination unknown
If anybody wants me just say you dont know the address
Cause Ive had enough of the confusion and the madness
And should anybody ever try to stall, just say Im gone thats all
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home
Destination unknown, Ill be gone, gone, gone
Destination unknown, destination unknown
Im tired of playing other peoples games
Tired of waiting for some things to change
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home
Destination unknown, Ill be gone, gone, gone
Destination unknown, destination unknown
Im tired of playing other peoples games
Tired of waiting for some things to change
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home
Destination unknown, Ill be gone, gone, gone
Destination unknown, destination unknown
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home
Destination unknown, Ill be gone, gone, gone
Destination unknown, destination unknown
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home

Love 12
I enjoy the fire of hell
when she weeps
I live in heaven
when she smiles.
I do not longer for the
heaven or hell
created by my God.
I do not need the company
of angels
Whole creations are with me
when she is with me
I worship my love
not my creator
for heaven or hell.

She's Playing Hell Trying To Get Me To Heaven
(Dean Dillon/Charles Quillen/David Wills)
I let it all hang out last night
Come in hung over this morning
My woman met me at the door
Preaching me this warning
She said "You're gonna have to change
Your sinful way of living"
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
Well I promised to go to church with her
About a month of Sundays ago
And here it is, it's Sunday again
And I ain't been once in a row
And everytime that old church bell rings
You can hear my rod and reel singing
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
'Cause there ain't no way
All my sins could be forgiven
There's only Ten Commandments
But I broke at least eleven
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
She went out and bought me
A Sunday go-meeting suit
And I must confess it looked pretty sharp
With my old hunting boots
But wore holes in both the knees
Trying to roll them sevens
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven
She's playing Hell
Trying to get me to Heaven

Travelers
The hell is not a hell,
As held by outsiders,
To those whose home it is.
The heaven is not a heaven
Likewise to its dwellers.
Seals at ice and camels at sand
Are perfectly at ease.
Travelers from birth to death
Brand them as hell and heaven.

Hell is not a hell
For those who are in hell
Once accustomed,
They fail to be so.

Heaven And Hell
Once you get a chance
You come to baby
Right back, you call me down
Used to think you wanted nothing to do
Was to say nothing at all
You went like the one time
A two time
You're back, and me
Drop off the back seat
Of a bad car
Where finders
Came alone
Bono: "F"
Wishing her out of my life
Wishing her...
What am I to do
Came a talk to street
And a time that you listen
Don't you beg the time on me
They said you oughta call her back
I wanna, but afraid to say
I won't hang up on you baby, child
Nothing feels like this before
Here in in my life
Yeah in heaven and hell
Baby you're heaven and hell
Heaven and hell
Bono: "F"
Oh, heaven and hell
All the time...
Want a chance to hold you
Want a chance to kill
I want a chance to keep you awake at night
When the sunlight burns through your love
But you can't always get
Everything you want
You take cards from all under the table
You're heaven, heaven and hell
Baby you're heaven...heaven and hell
Yeah, you're heaven...heaven and hell
Cover me...
Bono: "E!"
Bono: "Okay organ. Just organ."
Darkness...
You light up my darkness
You light up my darkness
And open up...
Bono: "F"
Bono: "Organ."
Bono: "This time when we come in, come in a little bit quietly. Not the drums, but everyone else."
Heaven.

Life and death
This world is driven by two contending powers--
Love, that coerceth Heaven to dwell with dust,
And that dire pledge of Hell's self-perjured Lust--
And as we list must Heaven and Hell be ours.
Not light the election runs: lo, each devours
That savour set in each, while equal gust
Each uses; yet our choice support we must--
Blest wine or, this rejected, sweat that sours.
Love, oft through Hell that seems, acclaims what Heaven!
But Lust, through seeming Heaven, with easy breath
Slides on to Hell, how soon, how richly given!
If Love to heavenly state so quickeneth,
While Lust must e'er in cheating Hell be shriven,
They sponsor what, these powers, but Life and Death?

Were Going To Live For A Very Long Time
I dont care about life
Or the world around me
Ive got a place to go
I dont care what you say
Words cannot harm me
Youre going down below
Come and join the fun on the way to heaven
Come and talk to God on the party line
If you cant be bothered, we dont need you
Were going to live for a very long time
I dont care for your views
Or your style of living
Youre going to fail the test
You can argue all night
I have no misgivings
And I never get depressed
Come and join the fun on the way to heaven
Come and talk to God on the party line
If you cant be bothered, we dont need you
Were going to live for a very long time
You may think that its strange
This is all I live for
But you cant understand
If you listen to me
Ill explain it carefully
You must know I am right
Come and join the fun on the way to heaven
Come and talk to God on the party line
If you cant be bothered, we dont need you
Were going to live for a very long time
Hell give you one more chance
Nows the time to take it
Hes waiting for your call
Youll be up there with me
Well be grinning in heaven
When the day of judgment comes
Come and join the fun on the way to heaven
Come and talk to God on the party line
If you cant be bothered, we dont need you
Were going to live for a very long time

Woman is heaven
Woman is a heaven to man
And she is barren without man.
Man finds his heaven in woman
And shows her she is the heaven.
Woman for woman is a hell.
Two men together make a hell.
To turn the hell into a heaven,
Man and woman must cross over.
Heaven cannot be a heaven
If it has no inhabitants.
Woman must understand this fact
And accommodate man with love.

And wanted the goose to comment her songs,
Which she did as the propriety demanded.
The duck believed true the comments made.

Welcome To Hell
Come on in, son, have a seat
Don't mind the screams, Don't mind the heat
It's been like this 'round here for a long, long time.
We haven't had the chance to meet
But i've heard about you on TV
And i think we're gonna get along just fine.
i can't help but notice, you look somewhat surprised.
Did ya think son, after what you've done, The Lord would let you slide?
[Chorus]
Welcome to Hell, your new home
You did the crime now you'll do the time
Right where you belong
Welcome to Hell, end of the line
Your final sin, got you in
And now your soul is mine
Welcome to Hell
i hope for your sake you're the kind
That can stand to burnburn 'till the end of time
'Cause that's exactly what you're gonna do.
There's some lots left on the lake of fire
Where we send your kind to retire
And i picked out a nice little hot spot just for you.
I got one last thing to tell ya
And let me make this clear
I don't know what you've been told, But there ain't no virgins here
[Chorus]
Welcome to Hell, your new home
You did the crime now you'll do the time
Right where you belong
Welcome to Hell, end of the line
Your final sin, got you in
And now your soul is mine
Welcome to Hell
Welcome to Hell, boy
Welcome to Hell, end of the line
Your final sin, got you in
And now your ass is mine
Welcome to Hell
Welcome to Hell, boy
You're gonna love it

Heaven And Hell
'Tis said there were no thought of hell,
Save hell were taught; that there should be
A Heaven for all's self-credible.
Not so the thing appears to me.
'Tis Heaven that lies beyond our sights,
And hell too possible that proves;
For all can feel the God that smites,
But ah, how few the God that loves!
