Yet better for one of my nature to have it that way than to have life a peaceful, placid flow of quiet contentment. I must have days of rushing excitement.

So Quiet In Here

Foghorns blowing in the night
Salt sea air in the morning breeze
Driving cars all along the coastline
This must be what its all about
Oh this must be what its all about
This must be what paradise is like
So quiet in here, so peaceful in here
So quiet in here, so peaceful in here
The warm look of radiance on your face
And your heart beating close to mine
And the evening fading in the candle glow
This must be what its all about
Oh this must be what its all about
This must be what paradise is like
So quiet in here. so peaceful in here
So quiet in here, yeah, so peaceful in here
All my struggling in the world
And so many dreams that dont come true
Step back, put it all away
It dont matter, it dont matter anymore
Oh this must be what paradise is like
This must be what paradise is like
Its so quiet in here, so peaceful in here
Its so quiet in here, so peaceful in here
A glass of wine with some friends
Talking into the wee hours of the dawn
Sit back and relax your mind
This must be, this must be, what its all about
This must be what paradise is like
Oh this must be what paradise is like
So quiet in here, so peaceful in here
So quiet in here, so peaceful in here
Big ships out in the night
And were floating across the waves
Sailing for some other shore
Where we can be what we wanna be
Oh this must be what paradise is like
This must be what paradise is like
Baby its so quiet in here, so peaceful in here
So quiet in here, so peaceful in here
So quiet in here, so peaceful in here
So quiet in here, you can hear, its so quiet

Life Of Contentment

To suit and to pursue in seconds...
A life of contentment.
And one you can depend,
A life of contentment.
To put an end to affixed evils,
A life of contentment.
With satisfactions that begin,
A life of contentment.

To have it there and with decision,
Is...
A life of Contentment./
With a rule that is so crucial,
A life of contentment.
And desired as a need...
A life of contentment.
To always have and never leave.

To suit and to pursue in seconds...
A life of contentment.
And one you can depend,
A life of contentment.
To put an end to affixed evils,
A life of contentment.
With satisfactions that begin,
A life of contentment.

To have it there and with decision,

The Poem Of The Afternoon Quiet Before Shabbat

THE POEM OF THE AFTERNOON QUIET BEFORE SHABBAT

The poem of the afternoon quiet before Shabbat
Is a peaceful poem -
Waiting and already resting
I try to remember those days
When Shabbat was Shabbat
In greatest joy and happiness-

But I am older now than I want to know
Shabbat has a quiet and music of a different kind
God can be served in old age also-

Let the family gather and the guests come
Let prayer be our music -
Joy is rest and quiet and peaceful family love also.

Yarra Glen

Where the Yarra dreams along,
Now in shadow, now in sun,
Murmuring a drowsy song,
Here she rests, the placid one.
Here she rests and takes her ease,
Peaceful home of cattlemen;
Haste and hustle, things like these,
Touch her lightly - Yarra Glen.

Easy flow with little care
Flows her rich river-flats
'Mid the lush green grasses where
Roam the milkers and the fats;
Where the sun-tanned herdsmen ride
Leisurely about green fields
Sloping to the river-side,
Rich with Nature's kindly yields.

Well content to drift and dream,
Life's high fever stirs her not,
Land of cows and corn and cream
By the hastening world forgot.
Something here of olden days
Lingers still, to wake anew
Memories of placid ways
That her staid forefathers knew.

In this calm backwater set,
Here she drowses well in call
Of the city's fume and fret,
Yet oblivious to it all.
Wisely she forgoes the gift
That fast living brings to men,
Well content to dream and drift
Happy rustic, Yarra Glen.

From deep inside

Smile comes from deep inside
If you have dream with full desire outside
It gives some sort of contentment
A means to smile for happy moment

I am not sure for airing open views
But yes certainly it was very much due
As I heard he had proposed for me in open
Among all friends and that too with surprise and sudden

I have made tremendous success
All the essential things with easy access
I keep smiling with light heart
As time has taught me to show it as an art

Not to loose heart with little problems
As my roots were deep in soil and coming out of stem
I could withstand any onslaught caused by nature
I had full commitment towards life for future

Not a day passes off when I am not seized
With the thought of permanent settlement before being ceased
Any girl with good fame may want it to be the top priority
Not to suffer with any kind of the inferiority

I keep all doors and windows open
Let the fresh air make entry and flow in
I get the fancy ideas with cool breeze
To come out in open from the deep freeze

Big smile instead of keeping self in barren desert
That is real beautify of person while taking part in concert
No out side worries enter peaceful mind
Disturb with mantle fabric from where unable come out and find

I laugh it out as matter of no concern
Good days may pass off easily with arrival of bad days in turn
Under such scenario smile helps a lot
I remain unperturbed and quiet

A Day In Park

swings, slides and sand
the park so peaceful early in the day
the sun rising, shadows casting across the grass
the breeze flow so soft, quiet and free
the ball diamond so peaceful and empty
soon the sounds of children laughing and parents chatting
the park comes to life with all to enjoy
dogs playing catch, kids flying kites
grills cooking and picnics galore
the fields so full from footballs to baseballs
playing catch, to playing tag
reading on a bench, laying on a blanket for a tan
the park so pictureous and a masterpiece
It's art and spirit so priceless
we never have enough parks for all to see
to be free and play
Parks nature's playground for us to play

Lines Written in Hospital

Upon a snowy bed I lie,
Too placid to complain,
And watch the mad world rushing by
Beyond my window-pane,
The traffic threading in and out
And wonder what it's all about.

I watch the loaded tramcars stream
By dozens into town,
With men, each thinking of some scheme
To take his neighbour down;
Each woman wond'ring what she'll buy
At Frill and Fluffum's bye and bye.

Down in the street I hear the talk
Of people passing by,
They chatter, chatter as they walk
Of all thins 'neath the sky
Of trade, of sport, of foolish things
That lack of clear reflection brings.

Placid I said I was - but no;
For all this seems to me
This madly rushing to and fro
Just sheer futility.
And, as I choke with rising wrath,
The nurse says, 'Time to take your broth.'

I Love Time Out With Nature

I love time out with Nature and I love peace and quiet
To walk along the gravel path in the evening sunlight
When the wild birds are singing and Spring is in her prime
And even memories of such inspire the soul to rhyme.

I love time out with Nature a brief release from care
For Nature she is generous her gifts with all she share
We drink of her clear spring waters and we breathe in her life sustaining air
And Nature's splendid beauty is around us everywhere.

I love time out with Nature the only God I know
Her stream from the high country down to the river flow
The skylark from the rank grass in the mood for song he fly
One of Nature's feathered minstrels he carols in the sky.

In time out with Mother Nature from life's cares I find ease
The sounds of the leaves rustling in the freshening evening breeze
And we much like the Seasons to life we come and go
But Nature lives forever the only God I know.

Nature

I know
Oh, oh yeah
Verse
Hey baby
Why you rushing
Lets sit back and watch the flowers grow
Why you want
To swim against the tide
Lets lay and watch the river flow
Here in gods creation
There is always a reason
I know, that love is there for us
Yeah
Chorus
Where well go, baby I dont know
Maybe we should just let nature run the show
Where well go, baby I dont know
Maybe we should just let nature run the show
Verse
I dont wanna watch no movie
Lets sit and watch the stars put on a show
If you want to win my favor
Be creative, and show me your flavor
Cause here in gods creation
For everything there is a session
Let go let life
Let love let god
Chorus
Where well go, baby I dont know
Maybe we should just let nature run the show
Where well go, baby I dont know
Maybe we should just let nature run the show
Bridge
Like the sun shines and
The wind blows
Like the birds fly
And the moon glows
If I am meant for you and
You are meant for me
Then we will flow together
Everlastly
Chorus x2
Where well go, baby I dont know
Maybe we should just let nature run the show
Where well go, baby I dont know
Maybe we should just let nature run the show
Out
Baby we should sit, watch the flowers grow
Baby we should sit, back and watch the moon glow
Baby, we should feel the wind blow
First you plant a seed
And then it grows and
Then it blooms
And it dies
That the cycle of life
Same goos for you and i
Maybe this time well get it right
Go with the flow
Maybe well get it right..

All the Placid Places

All the placid places of which we are fond,
From a beach house by the shore or Walden's pond.

From a mountain retreat or near a waterfall we find,
these placid places can even be found in our mind.

From the rockies of Canada to an Island beach;
All these placid places are still in reach.

When life gets chaotic with all the dreams we chase,
Take an occasional journey to visit a placid place.

Beauty's Song

What's Life still changing ev'ry hour?
Tis all the seasons in a Day!
The Smile, the Tear, the Sun, the Show'r'
Tis now December, now tis May
At morn we hail some envied Queen;
At eve she sinks some Cottage guest;
Yet if contentment gilds the scene
Contentment makes the Cottage blest.

Who more than I, this truth can feel?
I feel it yet am charm'd to find
While thus I turn the spinning-wheel
The station humbles not the mind.
Ah no! in days of youth and health
Nature will smile tho' fortune frown
Be this my song Content is wealth'
And duty ev'ry toil shall crown.

Zen

i take to call him zen
i talk talk to zen like
to all the nature around me
zen can you talk back to me
there is a pause and i say
zen can you talk back to me
silence like the silence of nature
are you dead or alive?
i am such a bewildered dweller
i talk to zen like i do to
all the nature around me
nature do you have a mouth
talk back to me
silence
then this tranquil feel
this feel of zen reacting to all nature, to me
but no talk, just silence
then i say zen
well if you let me do all the talking?
zen zen zen i know you will one day
be more cruel, do the leaving,
not a sigh, not a word
so why dont you talk to me now?
i talk to nature hoping it will talk back to me
but like zen, it is all quiet, silence
i even pull his leg, i say zen you have
sprouted a mole, a wrinkle, a line here and there
and i say you are smart and i suddenly
feel a contentment manoevres him a little
but then i ask again, and again
zen is it my own ego boiling over?
zen, zen please tell me
till then you may stay the way you are

Mist Upon the Placid Morn

Bleed out your beauty, Autumn –
Give up a gentle wrist, and smear
Your bloody hues atop the green.

Cast a calming throw of heady peace
Upon the cooling land.
And as you grant the sun a final fling of warmth,
Charge the silent air
(Now lolling on a foliar deathbed)
With earthen whiff to intimate the fungal push.

Soon you’ll send a shiver down the watery spine of
Quivering ponds, punctual brooks, and
Listless lakes, to warn them of the freeze to come.

Behold! your mellow spirit
Hanging as a mist upon the placid morn –
A sight that draws a sneaking tear or two – forlorn
Observers are we all of colder climes to view!

Autumn Lady, must you be the summer waning –?
Our adieu to fairer-weather life?
Ah well, at least you hum a warming tone, ensuring
Nature’s rhythm still abounds.

But now you must prepare the mind for chilly times –
You know the drill –
Guiding us along a sloping path
To ease our psyche in to sleet and snow –
The blue-ice bite of winter.

Nap Time

Your poet kisses
poems received in gratitude

for now, he naps
dreaming placid
facets you

shhh...
all is quiet
in torrent ridden
Toronto

he naps,
you his mind

island before
the rushing of hours

shhh...

you the warmth
still
so very gentle

Tortured Nature

Nature must be love
It is made by god above
Nature is in place
Nature is always with grace

The nature is green
It is colorful when seen
Nature is serene
It is peaceful ever seen

But people is bad
They make mother nature mad
When nature gets mad
It feels like the wrath of god

Disaster of nature
Is enough of your torture
Nature is flower
It gives love like a lover

No End To Lust

You search and try to be
Come out of bondage and feel free
See for self and feel what you can be
Miser man or like fruit bearing tree

Leave in dreams but feel awakened next morning
Same routine life and sans excitement may start boring
Do something new with permission from conscience
Lead the life with happiness and at variance

Think what you are
And can go how far
That may answer your puzzle
Keep you away from the troubles

Leave behind nothing such as bitterness
Live with joy and contentment on the face
That is the key to carry till the last breath
Rest everything is sure to decay or meet with the death

Self contentment is biggest gain
One should try it earnestly with aim
If five can be sufficed with two
Stay with two and make it easy go

It is difficult but not impossible
Minimize the need to avoid troubles
More you need greater is the thrust
Nothing to help as no end is to lust

Wind Grave

After my dream
I throw all memories of peaceful days
Laugh and cry
Both will be forgotten
Yesterday and now
Are two different human
I’ll wash my past
Forgetting beautiful days
Because I will never love anyone again
Because I will never remember anyone again
So please forgive
Forgive me
I will never love anyone again but you
I can hear sadness voice
Sound of flow that keeps moving
River stream named ‘time’
Do you know where it goes in the end?
If we are walking against the flow
Can we even stop the time?

Sonnet To The Curlew

SOOTH'D by the murmurs on the sea-beat shore,
His dun-grey plumage floating to the gale,
The Curlew blends his melancholy wail
With those hoarse sounds the rushing waters pour.
Like thee, congenial bird! my steps explore
The bleak lone sea-beach, or the rocky dale,--
And shun the orange bower, the myrtle vale,
Whose gay luxuriance suits my soul no more.
I love the ocean's broad expanse, when drest
In limpid clearness, or when tempests blow:
When the smooth currents on its placid breast
Flow calm, as my past moments us'd to flow;
Or when its troubled waves refuse to rest,
And seem the symbol of my present woe.

Summer Day on the Current River

for Robin on our 22nd anniversary

The placid Current River ever growing
brightly shimmers in the mid-day sun,
its azure waters cool and southward flowing.

Buried caverns through the limestone bring
      fresh fountains pouring cold ablution
into the placid Current ever growing.

Around the bend another rushing spring
bursts forth to lend aquatic motion
to the crystal water’s southward flowing.

Cheerful floaters revel, tanned and smiling,
      celebrating pleasant summer fun
upon the tranquil waters ever growing.

Gentle breezes set the leaves to rustling
while time stands still for everyone
along the peaceful river calmly flowing.

Shaded skies foretell the day’s conclusion
and a stellar fantasy has now begun
to dance above the moonlit river glowing:
its azure waters cool and southward flowing.

A Man Who Knows Much About Nature

He has not been to college or uni and for so called success in life he does not have much to show
But about flora and fauna and Nature there is so much he seems to know
He knows all of the trees in the Parkland by the bark or the leaves that they wear
A man who knows much about Nature and for the health of Nature he care.

A man who knows much about nature by their songs the birds he recognize
He like the quiet place in the country far removed from human made noise
In the shadow of a tree by the river the sun shining bright in the sky
Listening to birds singing around him such moments of peace he enjoy.

He like places without man's buildings away from the noise of the street
A quiet place in Nature's own kingdom where the creek and the river meet
Where lark he is soaring and singing as upward and upwards he fly
He has been a student of Nature ever since he was a young school going boy.

A man who knows much about Nature and to Nature he remains true
And Nature needs all of her good friends for Nature's good friends are too few
The weekend finds him in a quiet place on a sunny day sitting by a tree
Near where the creek flows into the river the river that flows to the sea.
