Media corporations have a civic responsibility not only to prevent fraud and financial abuse, but also to not corrupt or degrade our culture.

The corporations that hold these copyrights are media companies that also control most of the new media that comes out. Estimates vary, but it's said that 98 percent of all culture is unavailable right now because of copyrights. So the reason they hold the copyrights isn't because they want to get paid, it's because they don't want all the old stuff competing with the media stream that they control now.

What they will try to do is get symbolic victories. Symbolism is important to them. They have little else. But they will strike, I believe, at centers of media, of financial, of American power, of American culture; and that is where we should place our bet.

The financial capital is being concentrated by corporations, institutional investors, and even our pension funds, and being reinvested in companies that repeat this process because it provides the highest return on that financial capital.

The duty of responsibility placed on any MP is one of the greatest honours that can be bestowed and I for one don't believe the Conservative Party would abuse that trust by selecting someone who did not have the goods to do the job, just for the sake of media coverage.

Purpose Meant
They complain about the media.
Those who use it and abuse it!
They say it is unfair...
And declare its worthlessness.
But millions are spent,
To convince and capture with attention.
And as long as what is printed,
Or seen on TV screens...
Does not demean as intended.
They maintain that the media...
Is on a mission to destroy their deceptions!
And they use the media to campaign against,
Its effectiveness to reveal an undermining...
Purpose meant!

ZIMBABWE (on it goes)
Election was lost maybe, luxury still for Mugabe.
For him and his cronies money and palaces,
For his subjects misery and death sentences.
Industry gone, sparse or bankrupt,
Good officials' dead or corrupt.
Western firms'bank-rolling their‘interests'they're controlling.
The ‘new'government‘shared' responsibility,
A shambolic front for democracy.
The media gone quite suddenly,
Abandoned are the masses of another country.
The tears and pain grows, on their plight goes.

Just as men must give up economic control when their wives share the responsibility for the family's financial well-being, women must give up exclusive parental control when their husbands assume more responsibility for child care.

I Hide
I hide within a culture where black people
kill their brother everyday
no other culture on this earth
slaughter humans in this way..
listen to what I say! …
I hide within a culture where white rulers estimate
the body count…the after effects..
of the importation and proliferation
of drugs and alcohol
of guns and disease…and biased media..
that they control…
the ‘when and where and who …will fall’
these white men have no soul…
world domination is their goal
white rulers that get rich from war..
old racist men that know it all..
I hide within that culture ….

All Americans value the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press, and I believe this is essential for our continued way of life. But with this freedom comes responsibility. That responsibility has been abdicated here by some in the media and some in the government.

Racism and the Culture Of Racism
We must be aware…..,
Of the Culture Of Racism….,
It’s a slur and a swear….,
The Culture Of Racism….! ! !
Can’t turn your back….,
On the Culture Of Racism….,
Or you’ll feel the whack…,
Of the Culture Of Racism….! ! !
It’s hard to believe….
The Culture Of Racism….,
That’s why we all grieve….,
The Culture Of Racism…! ! !
We must face the facts….,
On the Culture Of Racism ….! ! !
Cause we’ve seen the attacks…..,
Of the Culture Of Racism….,
It follows us all…,
The Culture Of Racism….,
But we must stand tall….,
Against the Culture Of Racism….! ! !
Can we control or stop it….,
As long as it’s been livin’….? ? ?
That’s the priceless question….,
On the Culture Of Racism…! ! !

Pain Has Always Been Poetic
everyday
pain is poetry
please do
not demote it
to your
layman's prose
do not degrade
it to your
language of
abuse
let it stay
beautiful in our
hearts
we need it
to be that
way in order
to survive

The Land Is Bleeding
Greed rapes the innocent earth
Waters with chemicals
Coral reeves dying
Fertilizers corrupt watersheds
Government lobbyists support industry
Laws let Corporations pollute
Fake scientists bought by business
Global warming denied
Corporate media and press
Commercialism, ratings, propaganda
Oil and energy companies lie
Political will ebbs
Genetically modified products
Monsanto creates diseases
Growth hormones, pesticides
Species dying off
Lack of land preservation
Maybe it will take catastrophe?
We ruin our oceans and rivers
All this false freedom that destroys
Huge garbage islands floating in the sea
PCBs, mercury, led
DON'T EAT THOSE FISH!
What are we leaving our children?
The land is bleeding
