They stayed by my side the whole time - my teammates, family and all the fans.

I hear good things about Xbox Live from some of my younger teammates. I think it would be fun to be able to challenge fans all over the world. It would be cool to be able to play some of my friends back home in the States. I'm looking forward to trying it.

Through the years, I have so many wonderful memories of playing with the Red Wings: winning four Stanley Cups, scoring big goals, going into battle every night side by side with my teammates, playing with every ounce of effort I could muster.

I have had fans make me the big picture collages of the photo books; I have had fans send me birthday cakes... sing to me on my voicemail. I have had fans flash me. I have had older fans give me their bras and underwear onstage.

Voices of the Fans
It is only 38 degrees here in the windy city on this first day of April. If you go by just the weather you can’t even tell that this is the 20th day of spring. Well I know it springs from the sounds my ears hear. Not bees buzzing or birds chirping but the voices of the fan. The fans of America’s greatest past time baseball. The excitement and hope in each fans’ voice as the season begins. Fans Argue with one another but not in anger but in fun defending their team. Every fans a manger and know exactly what their team needs to win. Yeah the weather might make it feel like it is still winter but the voices of the fans lets me know it is spring.
Fans Of Written Word Verse
fans I have no fans
fans are for past dead
fans are for present posers
I am not yet spent dead
I am still one of elite verse doers
I am still among rare word writers

Diamond in the rough
My teammates don’t know.
Surely none can suspect-
When I leave from the game
I don’t go home direct.
My lockers my closet,
And in it I hide
my alternate lifestyle
That some wear with pride
Reporters surround me
on the locker-room prowl
I patiently answer,
dripping wet, in a towel.
I’m a likeable guy
And I don’t duck the press
And they never suspect
How I look in a dress.
My lockers my closet,
And in it I hide
my alternate lifestyle
That some wear with pride.
I’ve been a star
in the City for years.
If fans knew what I’m hiding
Would I still hear the cheers?
Sure, you see me around
With a girl on my arm-
But if they want more
I back off in alarm.
It’s kind of ironic-
fans wish they were me-
Could they live with the fear
of chance publicity?
My lockers my closet,
And in it I hide
my alternate lifestyle
That some wear with pride.

Why I Stayed
The way you look, how you sound, the way you move your lips.
That's why I stayed
You try and try to work it out, 'He can change'
you tell your self.
The love, the passion, How he holds me in his arms.
That's why I stayed.
I stayed for our marriage,
I stayed for our Love,
I stayed; cause I wanted too.
Hard times came and go,
But what we have is eternal.
I stayed, I stayed, I stayed cause I wanted to.
It worked, you've changed, your happier.
I love you always.
For the love, for the passion, for our marriage.
I stayed cause i wanted to.

Family vs. Friends
Friends come in your life as ocean waves come and go.
You friends may be there one day and be gone the next.
Family is like blood, you need it to survive and it will always be there.
Family is there the day you are born and will be until the day you die.
Friends may be there for the short term, it is your family that will
remain by your side.
Always put your family first, friends should go second.
Family will be there to support you and catch you when you fall.
Friends may be good to talk to when you are feeling down,
but they might not be there when you need someone the most.
Family will be there to laugh and they will be there to cry.
Family will be there through the good and bad.
Family is always there.

It's so crazy
Its so crazy,
the pain i had to deal with latly,
the tears I had to cry,
there was no way to reply.
The chances that I could try,
were right in front of me,
no more reasons for me to cry,
its so crazy, cause now I can finally see.
Its so crazy,
how you stayed by my side,
you stayed there dayly,
you left me nothing but pride.
All this time,
I didn't even notice,
you was there for me to shine,
I just had to stay focussed!

One of The Family
...you came out
and came home
you werent alone
had your family by your side
you had love
we had hope
you'd be fine
but you died
had the family by your side
and they cried...
Losing a pet
is like losing a best friend
the memory of you
will go through
til the end
now you're fine
still in the family's mind
we loved you
now you're gone
you'll live on
forever, in the family's mind...

The Sleeper
If you’re ever in Chicago, , and you have some extra time, .
There’s a baseball legend buried there, a sleeper of a kind.
He won’t help you win at fantasy. It was long ago he played
For forty years or more he has been waiting in his grave.
John Donaldson was a Monarch on the Kansas City team,
perhaps the greatest pitcher ever in the Negro League.
His fastball was like Feller’s when Bob was in his prime
He had a Curve like Mathewson’s, a Giant of his time.
He is buried among teammates who never made the Show
A three hundred game winner that true fans ought to know.
In little towns and hamlets he won renown and fame
He never made the majors, they were then a white man’s game.
His victories and strikeouts have been obscured by time.
He was born a bit too early to ever break the color line.
He was working toting mailbags on his final fatal day
When, like his famous slider, he would break down and fade away.

A Familys Love
A family's love is always there
A family's love will never go anywhere
A family loves with all their heart, unconditional no matter what
We laugh, we cry, but we never leave each others side
A family is one that sticks together through thick and thin and never judges one another
That's what a family's love is all about.

Ban Them For Life
They sang songs about a disaster
thinking they sounded cool
but that shows them to be cowards
and having the minds of a fool.
They should not be called fans
as they are nothing of the sort
they should be banned for life
and named and shamed when caught.
Football does not need them
don't let them make a sound
they're not a part of the Football family
so keep them away from the ground.
We are pleased the truth finally came out
as the people of Liverpool never let it rest
but real fans are behind you all of the way
as you do whatever you think is best.
