As has been pointed out with Libya, the debate over Libya, sometimes we allow diplomatic relations with imperfect regimes because progress can best be made through engagement instead of isolation.

A Song For Libya
My prayers are with you people of lybia
I know that you all have to fight everiday for survival
But somebody loves you also because he made you people of Libya
And his name is God
Also don't give up hope every single day
Believe in what you believe people of Libya
Eventhough you are crying people of libya
I can still hear you all crying
I even know that life is not easy people of lybia
But you all have to go on with life
Also life is precious
If there is anything that I cando people of lybia
Don't hesitate to call me
And remember that you can always count on me people of Libya
Because I will arrive any time you need me
Even if it is during the Winter, Summer, Spring, or Fall
I also understand what you are going through people of Libia
Because everybody's road to hell is different

Yasmin's Revolution
Yasmin's Revolutiuon,
It started in Tunisia and it spread over the Arab World!
With the chanting of the youths bringing down the Dictators;
But what i see now in Libya is like bombs falling down from heaven! !
And Gaddafi claims to win the war,
But the war songs are now destroying everything in Libya! !
My mouth will speak wisdom;
However, the meditation of my heart will bring forth understanding!
For the world gathers today against Libya,
And there is no sign for the 'African Unity' (AU) .

Spared
Spared, raps, rapes, drapes, reaps, pea, peas, sea, pears;
They misled you and overcame you! !
And you were bounded in the hands of your enemies;
But this war in Libya is now spreading all over the land.
Spared, spear, ear, dare, dear, read, era, are, pare, pared;
And like the way bombs are being dropped out every now and then,
For the rebels are now catching up the strong holds of Libya!
And the news is all over the radio and T.V.
Spared, spread, pear, sear, sad, pad, rape, drape, reap, rap;
And like the noise of the bullets being heard here and there in Libya!
But somebody spared the life of his relative,
And many crossed over to the neighbouring countries nearby.

My proposal to re-establish diplomatic relations - not necessarily friendly relations, but diplomatic relations - is a sensible, simple, and straightforward approach that will finally get us off dead center.

China gets their oil from Libya. Why isn't China involved? They're going out spending billions of dollars a day on trying to take over the world economically. And we're spending billions and billions and billions of dollars on policing the world. Why isn't China involved with Libya? That - we don't get oil from Libya, China does.

In the Wilderness
The sea patrol,
Please bring out the dead in Libya! !
For the hair and the body are like the high-heel girls;
But in the wilderness are they gone too soon,
So try to bring out the dead for burial.
Bombs and bullets of war!
We are still seeing what is going on in Libya! !
But in the wilderness in search of the dead bodies is your mission;
So try to bring our the dead for a peaceful burial.

Gadhafi, debtless lion!
Like a lion, roaring, animals shudder
An empire so vast, swimming in riches.
Dreamland, father of a United Africa
Me told, Libya had no Western debt, in Africa!
Riotous, countrymen, cause, he overstayed, he had sinned
To culvert hole, him, they followed.
Ululations, Celebrations, rocked
Bloody mass, mute flesh, Gadhafi reduced by lead.
To second lion, whose reign shall be
No Western debt, let Libya be!

Deceit Dishonours Noble Peace Prize
Obama Nobel Peace Prize
liar did not immediately
stop invasion wars in Iraq
or Afghanistan as pledged.
Oh bomba started his own nasty
oil war in Libya then got mainly
France and puppet Nato powers
to fight invasion Libya war deals.
If nobel peace prize
had any credibility validity
Oh bomba would be
disgrace disqualified...
for sly stealing sacred peace
from invaded Muslim countries
for firing up foreign oil wars
red lining pocket arms dealers.

Global Culture
A global culture is closing up on us,
But with lustful minds to kill mankind;
Yet still, they take up the Bible to calm us down.
When it is not a coup, it is war! !
And like what is now going on in Libya;
But with lustful minds to kill mankind!
Of a global culture,
But little things do mean a lot when you know the value;
And check out the life styles around you today,
For it si a mixture of righteous and evil!
The oil reserves are being bombed today in Libya,
And the dark mushroom clouds bring sadness on our faces;
But how many dead bodies are already recorded?
Of human beings and human identities,
But the global culture is what we know;
With global villages in the state ot our minds,
But quote it from the Torah and compare it with the modernizations around you.
Oh mankind! ! What have we done to ourselves on this earth?
Where is the missing link and, why the hatred? ! !
But the positive ones are never heard in times like this;
With the magnitudes of the negative one crowning the day!
But let us sit down and talk about it.

Changing,
An exercise;
Friends,
To capture!
But they have expereinced something that others have not;
As others ran for their lives in the name of this war in Libya! !

Mere Ethical Rules
Tried to engage you in conversation about Libya,
you refused, more interested in rugby game feuds,
I thought I could prepare for my horrible document
by getting other people’s opinions, bought and read
two newspapers, they all said was Zuma did not
like what NATO did in Libya
I still have to translate my propaganda text; nowhere a
hint to stop being angry at the way my country presents
a bad performance when the UN and AU are involved –
you happily watch rugby on TV, I can’t reach a teacher
to tell me how to resolve my feelings, when we ask, we
are told the answer resides inside
In our own mind – well, I’ll have you know, the only things
I cherish are series of juvenile literature, every book I come
across delineating sweet ideals - the rest is so much dross,
modern society awards prizes to stars while denouncing
teenagers for doing the same thing unauthorised
- be famous first –
A world preaching moral behaviour while adoring those
who act immorally - have you not already realised that
trust, optimism and hope weigh more on the scales
of accomplishment than mere ethical rules?

Interesting enough, we had a reunion of the 12 of us who graduated, right? The only one who wasn't there was the guy who became a priest, and he was literally in prison in Libya, for being a Catholic priest. Isn't that interesting? Everybody else made the reunion but that guy.

The Epanders OF Wars
The expander of wars are
White continents of dim
Thee the expander of disaster
Explosive mechanical
Thee rolled explosive to peaceful africa
For peace in reverse order
The expanders of wars are
The looters of our afrians resources
Return the golds to africa
The oil to libya
Thee poverish africa
The rejecter of africans
Free thee came to africa
Africans paid to her land
The wars expanders are
The destroyer of immemorial africa
Beautiful libya fell
South africa was possessed
No safe locked for refugees
refugees were prostrate and rape
Killers of our future
The fertilizers of our boulevards
The expanders of wars are
Best blenders of peace and dim
Best feeders of refugees an rebellion
Best thief for our resources
Best thief for our collective joy
Best continent, africa must rise

Got My Mind Made Up
Dont ever try to change me,
I been in this thing too long.
Theres nothin you can say or do
To make me think Im wrong.
Well, Im goin off to libya,
Theres a guy I gotta see.
Hes been living there three years now,
In an oil refinery.
Ive got my mind made up.
Oh, I ve got my mind made up.
Call your ma in tallahassee
Tell her her babys on the line.
Tell her not to worry
Everything is gonna be fine.
Well, I gave you all my money
All my connections, too.
There aint nothin in this world, girl
You can say I didnt give to you.
Ive got my mind made up.
Ive got my mind made up.
You will be alright, girl,
Someones watchin over you.
He wont do nothin to you
Baby that I wouldnt do.
Well, if you dont want to see me,
Look the other way.
You dont have to feed me,
I aint your dog thats gone astray.
I got my mind made up
I got my mind made up
I got my mind made up
I got my mind made up
I got my mind made up
