There is an optical illusion about every person we meet.

Optical Illusion
Now an optical illusion
is when your eyes
play tricks on you.
It shows you things
that are not really there.
The old saying of only
half believe what you see
has more truth in it
than you would believe,
as we don’t always see things
the way they really are.
Take an abstract painting,
take a closer look at it
and see how many things
your mind can make there.
Watch the clouds
roll by overhead
and look at the different shapes
that are created there.
The next time you look at something,
just be aware
it could well be
an optical illusion there.

Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball.

Illusion
perfection has always been an optical
illusion
a manipulation of the lens
of life's eyes
hoping to see much better
all the details
wanting to match what all those
invisible ones are creating
when we go back to the touch of our hands
the trembling is perfect

An Optical Illusion
when she finally sees him
with another woman
in the darkest part of the
park
as he starts to hug
and kiss the other woman
giggling
to the trick of his fingers
she knows surely well
that this fact
is not an optical illusion.
wait.

Shadows In The Rain
I woke up in my clothes again this morning
I dont know exactly where I am
And I should heed my doctors warning
He does the best with me he can
He says I suffer from delusion
But Im so confident Im sane
It cant be no optical illusion
How can you explain
Shadows in the rain
And if you see us on the corner
Were just dancing in the rain
I tell my friends there when I see them
Outside my windowpane
Shadows in the rain

Optical illusion
eyes see everything what the heart feels, for
only the eyes tell the meaning of the heart, nay
the soul reveals what the heart defines that
the window of the soul, is the illusion of the eyes
all, that is described of the eyes, would mean, so
real and true, yet! illusion, sway the truth that all
is just a beginning of everything, a deception that
leads us to nothing
as life believe on something, which touches human
experiences, and the struggle to win, every feeling to
see the meaning of what is real, the emotion fills
the heart, that defines the significance of life
eyes satisfy the inner value of the heart, but the
soul purified the incense of the immortality of eternity,
all that we have seen, create something that may
brings us to blindness of the gift of life
an illusion of optical lens that break us into a pieces of
broken heart, an array of souls into a limbo of nowhere
to live, a place of every nuts cross between fingers, a
darkest moment in our soul
leave no doubt in our hearts, open your soul, don't let
your chance to allure, what the eyes see, rather take the
best in you, feel it in your heart and let the soul surf the
excellent of what is meaningful in your life
move on..... never give up.... your heart can find it......

Did you know
Did you know
i'm the one who got A's in school
Did you know
I'm some what cool
Did you know
I'm the coolest person you can ever meet
Did you know
I also can be the person you don't want to meet
You don't know nothing
cause I didn't give you a chance
you have to understand
I don't have time for a man

I Only Have Eyes For You
Al dubin / harry warren
My love must be a kind of blind love,
I cant see anyone but you
And dear, I wonder if you find love,
An optical illusion, too?
Are the stars out tonight?
I dont know if its cloudy or bright cause I only
Have eyes for you.
The moon may be high,
But I cant see a thing in the sky,
Cause I only have eyes for you.
I dont know if were in a garden,
Or on a crowded avenue.
You are here, so am i.
Maybe millions of people go by but they all disappear from view,
And I only have eyes for you.

Every person is so different and I don't think there is an exact match for every person. If you meet someone and they have 20 of the 25 things you want in a person, then you're pretty lucky.

replaying mozart's serenade #3 in G
middle age sits on a bench
at the park
just watching people pass by-
a fat lady with a pink purse as small as as a snail
a thin man looking like he's dying of tuberculosis
a little boy being held tight by his mom smiling at me
two lovers as sweet as sugar and walking too close like a glued pair of slippers
middle age sits alone and laughs loud like he's winning
this lonely game of optical illusion
this trajectory projection
middle age inside this cell of himself
looking for an opening

Grand Illusion
I saw you in a dream, it hit me like a bright light
Flashing on a screen, visions of my whole life.
I used to chase the moment of desire
Back to when my young heart burned like a fire.
It was just a, nothing but a grand illusion.
Heart was quicker than the eye.
Nothing but a grand illusion,
Legend in my own mind.
I held you in my arms till the other side of midnight.
Kept you in my mind, you got me through some long nights.
Standing on the threshold of desire,
Caught between the madness and the fire.
Chorus
It was all a grand illusion.
Hand was quicker than the eye.
Nothing but a grand illusion,
Legends in our own minds.
I used to chase the moments of desire
Back to when my young heart burned like a fire.
It was just a, nothing but a, it was all a grand illusion.
Nothing but a grand illusion.
It was all a grand illusion,
Legend in my own mind.
It was just a grand illusion.
Nothing but a grand illusion.
It was just a grand illusion,
Legend in our own mind.

Religion And Magic
Who are these fellows?
Religion - Magic
Are they siblings who seem remarkably similar?
Are they identical twins - fantastically alike in all things?
Are they but two sides of the same coin - the coin of illusion?
Which came first - religion or magic?
The answer remains shrouded in the dim mists
Of our early steps on the stage of our existence
Magic - creator of illusion masked as reality
Religion - creator of illusion from reality
Both create illusion - purvey the same mask
Magic and religion present illusion as truth
This is my view
Another may be for you
Yet know this - If you believe illusion be truth or truth illusion
The result is the same.

Really Really
You have the power
take on rule and show
what you want
what you really really want
is it me
or is it an illusion?
You have the game
take on role and play
what you desire
what you really really desire
am I there
or am I just an illusion?
You have the frame
take on reel and dream
what you imagine
what you really really imagine
am I there
or am I just an illusion?
You have the goal
take on real and action
what you hunt
what you really really hunt
is it me
or is it an illusion?

Illusion
How do I begin and where do I end
who will be the one whom I can depend.
I fool myself, an illusion I see
Thinking that he'll be there for me.
But when at night I lay in bed
I reach out for him and nothing I get...
It's only an illusion that comes my way
Will I be ever lucky someday.
To have him, feel him and call him mine
I will then finally draw a line.
No more illusion then I will see
if this turns out into reality.

Love's illusion
You are a dream illusion of my reality,
You are the illusion of my dreams,
You are an illusion.
I try to live in dreams,
You see,
Dreams are my reality,
But don't be worried, my love,
They will disappear
Like bubbles
In the air,
Without leaving
Any trace in my memory.
They can form the illusion
Of the ideal perfect love,
More fragile
Than anything I know.

People In Other People's Lives They Have Never Met
Are you that person,
To take what you hear...
To be fact and not fiction?
Have you ever disliked someone,
Because of what you've heard?
Did you ever disrespect anyone,
To one day regret paying attention to gossip?
Helping to spread the rumors...
That defamed and shamed lives that were done.
And you had been the main one...
Wishing to pass on fresh innuendos to come.
And one day...
You just happen to meet,
The nicest person someone else introduced to you...
As the two of you met,
Coincidentally on the street.
And there you were,
Feeling embarrassed with remorse...
You and others,
Were the reason this person was divorced!
Well...
You are not alone.
There are so many people in other people's lives,
They have never met.
Nor have ever seen before...
Until they actually meet!
On the street or socially...
With wishes they could find someone like that,
To come home to and be happy to love.

Illusion
In a forest known as heartbreak
In a clearing in the wood
cross a pathway called confusion
Toward the garden of delight
Youll reach the river of desire
And meekly try and cross it
While the valley of love
Keeps avoiding you
Because its only an illusion
Only an illusion
Upon the hill of high ideals
You begin to wonder if its real
You are reaching sleeps oasis
You begin to wonder how you feel
But it happens so quickly
It doesnt fit into your scenes
Tossin and turnin
The star of so many scenes
Its only an illusion
Its only an illusion

Lovely Illusions
Confidence, …‘shrinks’ tell us
is only an illusion
Reflecting only, the facts and feeling
At, and of, a particular time
Sounds a lot like the illusion of love, to me
Akin to the mental images
we conjure up in our minds,
and ascribe to a state so sublime
Whether tis fact or illusion,
I shall avoid the confusion
By having complete confidence
and seeking seclusion
In my lovely, misty world,
so unreal yet appealing
My sphere of fictitious fact and feeling
Of beguiling illusion and rhyme
