In A Crowd, In A Sea Of People
in a crowd of people, in a sea of people
you can just be a wooden sail, and sail like
there are no people in there, in the sea of people,
you can just be yourself, like they do not exist,
you can even just be any kind of wave in there,
a small gentle wave with the usual sea cap, a white
foamy sea cap, indistinguishable like the rest of the
people in the sea of people, and in this sea where you
are just one of them, there is really no problem, you are
just like them, behaving just like anyone of them, and you can always be with them, lonely, lonely like them, always being like them, in a crowd, in this uniformity, in this
anonymity, but once it may occur to you, that there is
something in yourself that simply shouts, I can be out
from here, out of here, from this cacophony, from this loneliness,
I cannot wait anymore, in the sea of people, I can be out,
An outcast, and it does not matter, deep within I know I can feel it now,
my mother was a seagull, and I have always known how to fly.
The time is now to spread the wings that I have been hiding.

The Crowd
Words and music by roy orbison and joe melson
I go out with the crowd, I play the game
Pretending out loud but it dont seem the same
For the heart of the crowd is gone from sight
My part of the crowd is not with me tonight
I remember the prom, every dance with you
All the crazy things that we used to do
Sometimes wed wait for a chance
And then wed steal away
From the crowd and the dance to our hideaway
Aww, but youre gone and its not the same old game
I fall apart each time I hear your name
Guess Ill go along with the crowd, Ill make believe
That youll come back to me, run back to me
Hurry back to the crow-ow-ow-owd a-and me-e-e-e-e.

Precisely
There are those who oppose your decisions made.
And say you do not operate with their best interests,
In your heart.
And others talk amongst themselves,
How they are not pleased.
And wish from them you would disappear,
To leave.
'This is for you and anyone who feels that way,
I stood up because I had something to say.
And what did the others do? '
They sat and watched quietly listening to you.
'Precisely!
I'm not the only who has these opportunities.
When opportunities knock...
I don't wait in hesitation to open the door.
Whatever the intention meant,
I am not one to deny myself the experience of it.
Tell that to your people you are here to represent.'
Could you do that?
I fear how they may react.

Going Through The Motions
An existence recycled.
An unknown is feared.
Possibilities are debated.
Leaving a stagnation so clear.
Opportunities for change...
Never occur with chances to begin!
Things stay the way they are,
Going through the motions...
With a devotion,
To a growth of nothingness...
That seems not to end.
Finding a comfort in it!
And keeping pretentions real,
To attend!

opportunities lacking required degrees

The crowd is the catalyst.
Whenever you are in the crowd
There I get you by sensual aid
As eyes are swords, more than words.
You are at ease in the crowd,
So private and so shrewd
In your approach to my side
That no one can suspect.
Enough. That only I expect.
A clear internet exists,
That binds us with no exits.
You are so sophisticated;
I am so intoxicated.
Whenever you are in the crowd
I never miss the very crowd.
You are the reason that I survive.
You are the cause my youth relives.
Whenever we are in the crowd
In us is lost the whole crowd.
We are fed when our eyes meet.
More than that, I want not.
Less than that, I stand not.
We are at ease in the crowd.
The whole time I shall incur.
I salute the crowd to recur.

To Wait Is A Pleasure
To wait for a baby;
To wait for an event;
To wait for a result.
Anything to wait for
With love and hope nourishes.
To wait for surgery;
To wait for a verdict;
To wait for an arrest.
Anything to wait for
With hate and dread worries.
Receive when it comes.
Let it go when it slips.
Don’t wait for a fortune,
Which is a prostitute.
Wait if it gives pleasure.

Men never moan over the opportunities lost to do good, only the opportunities to be bad.
Give It Up
You got your sugar
You got your spice
You got a kitten
Now isn't that nice
You just can't wait for a picnic in Spring
I just get nauseous
When I think of those things
You wait and wait and you wait for a lifetime
For a little piece of cake in the night time yeah
You wait and wait you can't wait any longer
You wait and wait
