Try to help others. Consult their weaknesses, relieve their maladies; strive to raise them up, and by so doing you will most effectually raise yourself up also.

Gonna Raise Hell
Words and music by rick nielsen
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Ambition? ha!
If all Ive heard is true,
Theres nothin much I can do
To change the world, its irreversible.
But in what it lacks,
Its got a taste that smacks of somethin irresistable.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Submission? yes!
Now I wont name names, and a secrets a secret,
But a hints a hint or a clue.
You really wanna know, you really wanna go,
Theres only two things you got to do.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Mother, mother.
Mother, mother.
Mother, mother.
My mission? ah, yes!
Everybody hear? everybody here,
Its a fate I all agree.
Sometimes you win, I never lose,
To me its no mystery.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.
Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell.

One NAPOLEON BONAPARTE,
Raise above all,
Shattering million people's bones apart!
One Hitler can raise above all,
On foolishness of millions of butlers
One Christ can raise above all,
If can raise above million thrusts
of hunger, lust and thirst!
One Buddha can raise,
If he can remain completely Shuddha
One Ashoka can raise to become Ashoka, only on
The heap of million HEART'S shoka!
One love symbol Taj Mahal can raise only on tombless graves millions of love!
One Shankara can raise,
Killing one's Ahankara!
One Vivekananda can raise,
Finding the roots of Viveka and Ananda!
One SOUL can raise,
Only if can raise above
All that is untrue and thoughts that are foul!

Raise Your Hand
Great, great broad, miss janis joplin, please!
If there's something you need,
Hon that you've never, ever, ever had.
And i know you've never had it.
Oh, honey, don't you just sit there crying,
Don't just sit there feeling bad.
No, no, no.
You'd better get up,
Now, don't you understand ?
And raise you hand.
I said, raise, raise your hand.
You know i'm standing about, yes i am.
And i want to give you all my love.
Oh, won't you open up,
I said, open up your heart.
Please let me try.
You'd better be good.
Don't ya understand ?
Raise your hand.
I said, i wanna see it up in the air, babe,
Right here, right now, yeah!
Whoaaaah, yeah!
If you ever, ever need me,
Honey why won't you come and tell me so now ?
Baby if you want to give all of my loving,
I want to let it go.
You'd better be good, don't you understand,
I said raise it, raise it, raise it, raise it,
Raise.
Honey honey what it was

Honey honey what it was
Whoaaaah

Raise your hand 'cause i want you to come along,

Sedated
Queing up
Body searched
Ripped off
In the face of a guy with a grin
Feeling blessed whe he lets you in
Raise your hands, the night begins
Raise your hands, the night begins
Broken thrills
Broken pills
Vibrate
Your eyes dilate
Raise your hands, the night begins
You wanna be sedated
Say what you feel, do what you want
You look so good, you look so fine
Raise your hands, raise your hands
In the ultimate sky
Get high
You wanna be sedated

Fragment 8
To you God
I raise my hands in prayer
My work
My ambition
My silence
I raise my hands in prayer
To you God
I bow myself
Like a monk prostrate on the cold floors
Asking for wisdom
Asking for guidance
Asking for mercy
I raise my soul in prayer
I leave my body stripped of desire
I leave everything to you
To you God
Take charge of my life
I am hopeless
I am loveless
I am empty
I am blown away
I am light
I am consumed
I am a well without water
I am nothing
To you God
I give up everything
I am yours.

She's Alive
A boy to raise at her young age
No help from him but she's alive
To be made strong but all alone
Must be a pain but she's alive
Dre:
The year was 1975
That night crickets cried
They knew what was going down
Three girls travel a long country road
And one said she thinks it's time
This baby wants to come right now
A boy to raise at her young age
No help from him but she's alive
To be made strong but all alone
Must be a pain but she's alive
Ms. B:
I was scufflin' going to school
I was scufflin' and working at night
And you know what?
I truly believe and that's why
I tell a lot of parents,
single parents
Don't tell me what God can't do!
I made sure you had...
I never felt like you should be
deprived of anything...
If a man didn't want to take care
of his child you move on,
and that's what I did, I moved on
A boy to raise at her young age
No help from him but she's alive
To be made strong but all alone
Must be a pain but she's alive
A boy to raise at...at her young age
No help from him but she's alive
Ms. B:
He always wanted to be a father but
he never took care of you...
He had no money, he had nothing...
How could you care about somebody
and you never did the welfare of them?
A boy to raise at her young age
No help from him but she's alive
To be made strong but all alone
Must be a drag but she's alive
A boy to raise at her young age
No help from him but she's alive
To be made strong but all alone
Must -
And I knew I had to go down that
road by myself
She's alive

Raise Your Glasses
I took a ride with a one-way ticket
I aimed my arrow at the mark & hit it
We all need to be somebody
Been broken down, but not defeated
I kept on punching back till I succeeded
We all need to be somebody, now
We stop at nothing, even climb barbed-wire
We struck a match & set the world on fire
& if we tried, we couldnt get much higher, now
Everyone around the world, raise your glasses, raise your glasses
Standing pround cause were the champions, raise your glasses, raise your glasses
We pushed it all, beyond the limit
We took our chances & we jumped right in it
Now I believe, in strength in numbers
Went into battle with a force of thunder
We all need to be somebody, now
I wanna shout it out with all my power
I wanna scream it from the highest tower
I want to celebrate our finest hour, now
Everyone around the world, raise your glasses, raise your glasses
Standing pround cause were the champions, raise your glasses, raise your glasses
We stop at nothing, even climb barbed-wire
We struck a match & set the world on fire
& if we tried, we couldnt get much higher, now
Oh, you gotta give it your all
Oh, you gotta know what youre after
And oh, well make it over the wall together
[solo]
I took a ride with a one way ticket
I shot my arrow at the mark & hit it
When all the others only talked, I did it
Kept pushing everything beyond the limit
You play the game, you gotta play to win it

Raise Yourself If You Can...(Alternating rhyme quatrain)
rhyme quatrain is a 4 line unit with alternating abab cdcd rhyme which changes from stanza to stanza.
Raise Yourself If You Can...
Raise yourself if you can
To the heights of Him high
Up the bliss of cosmic clan
In one with Him I don't deny
Confess if you can't and fail
There's a way simple you pray
For you He descends to avail
Earthly nigh.Bethink, don't delay

Raise Him Up
WHEN I FIRST MET HIS MAMA, SHE WAS JUST 19
?.COULDN'T SAY FOR CERTAIN WHO THE FATHER WAS
BUT I HAVE KNOWN HIM SINCE HE WAS A PUP
AND I'M GONNA RAISE HIM UP
IF YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR DADDY
LIKE I NEVER KNEW MINE
IT FEELS LIKE EVERYBODY KNOWS
YOU'RE FATHERLESS
THIS BOY MAY NOT BE BLOOD OF MY BLOOD
BUT I'M GONNA RAISE HIM UP
I''LL PROVIDE FOR HIM
WALK BESIDE OF HIM
I AM STRONG ENOUGH
CAUSE IT'S TIME HE KNEW
WHAT A SON CAN DO
WITH A FATHER'S LOVE
HE COULD CHANGE THE WORLD
YOU ONLY HAVE TO LOOK AT JOSEPH
A COUPLE THOUSAND YEARS AGO
HE HELD A NEWBORN BABY HE NAMED JESUS
HE SAID ?HE MAY NOT BE BLOOD OF BY BLOOD
STILL I'M GONNA RAISE HIM UP
I WILL PROVIDE FOR HIM
WALK BESIDE OF HIM
I AM STRONG ENOUGH
I WILL SHOW HIM TOO
WHAT A SON CAN DO
WITH A FATHER'S LOVE
AND HE WILL CHANGE THE WORLD.
33 YEARS LATER
WHEN THE SON WAS IN HIS GRAVE
BROKEN AND ABANDONED
BY A WORLD HE CAME TO SAVE
HIS REAL DAD SAID
?HE'S MINE,
BLOOD OF MY BLOOD
AND I'M GONNA RAISE HIM UP?
I'LL PROVIDE FOR YOU
WALK BESIDE OF YOU
I AM STRONG ENOUGH
I HAVE SEEN FROM YOU
WHAT A SON CAN DO
WITH A FATHER'S LOVE
ONE MAN CHANGED THE WORLD AND HE CAN CHANGE YOUR WORLD
BUT YOU GOTTA RAISE HIM UP
RAISE HIM UP

Drop Your Guns
(david henman)
Published by summerlea music, ltd. - bmi
Look at all the places we been, and look where we are
Something is amiss here cause we never seem to get very far
Now I got a feeling, a plan, some music to sing
And Im looking for the right words to convey the message we bring
If you can hear it, mmm, Im gettin near it, if I can say it
Drop your guns, and raise your hands in the air
Youre the one that started all the trouble out there
Grease me, Im near you, blast me, Im in your way
Youre the thing in a song, that really ought to be put away
Now I got a feeling, a plan, some music to sing
And Im looking for the right words to convey the message we bring
If you can hear it, Im gettin near it, if I can say it
Drop your guns, and raise your hands in the air
Drop your guns, and raise your hands in the air
Drop your guns, and raise your hands in the air
Drop your guns, and raise your hands in the air
Drop your guns, and raise your hands in the air

Inside
Take your time take all your time baby
C'mon
Take your time take it anytime
Raise the line raise the line everytime
C'mon
Raise the line
Raise it above my mind
Everything that stains me and breaks me
It's just a gut reaction trapped in this aggressive action
I: Rise:
Everything is right here color me unsold
Everything is right here inside
Take the pain wash it all away baby
C'mon
Take the pain rip it all away
Take my hand take it anytime friend
C'mon
Take my hand take it anytime
Just like the king's men's nightmare
So low gotta see me to feel me
It's just a gut reaction
Trapped in this aggressive action
Everytime I give up something
I end up with less than mine
Turn around and see what's given
It's still less than

I Prefer
Have you run into the human race
Have you run into the world
Have you run into the system
And I raise the white flag
And I raise the white flag
And thats the way
I prefer... flagellation!
Have you run into your head
Have you run into your balls
Have you run into the human condition
And I raise the white flag
And I raise the white flag
And thats the way
I prefer... flagellation!
I prefer
Flagellation!

Memories In Hand (To a New Year)
Raise the glass
Swirl the spirits
Clinking the crystal
Toast those present
Memorializing the many
Absent this assemblage
Raise the mug
Savor the aroma
Embracing the warmth
Cherish the moment
Remembering the past
Drink to the future
Raise the goblet
Of family and friendship
Gathering in kinship
Recollect the gladness
Binding ancient wounds
Banish every sorrow
Raising the chalice
Of spirit and season
A mere midnight moment
Future reminiscence
Memories in making
We hold here in hand

Weep For The Child
Hey you, do you ever cry - for the child?
Falling in love with strangers, feeling incomplete, hey thats me
Some are fly, some are shy, some are acting like they own the street, ooh
One minute were together then the next youre acting really cool, so cool
You can play me any way but dont ever treat me like a fool, no no no
Sometimes so hateful
Sometimes so shy
Dont ask me why
Weep for the child
Better raise your hand
Were twisting the style
Aint no need to understand
Dont leave me alone to make it tonight
No dont go
Wearing your desperation wrapped me on your sleeve, yes you do
Youve got everything you want but you just cant get the things that you need, oh no no no
Sometimes you fake it
Sometimes you lie
Dont ask me why
Weep for the child
Better raise your hand, raise your hand
Were twisting the style
Aint no need to understand
Dont leave me alone to make it tonight, no no no
Sweet baby
You never understood
You never treat me right
Weep for the child
Better raise your hand, raise your hand
Were twisting the style
Aint no need to understand, do you understand?
Dont leave me alone to make it tonight, yeah
Weep for the child
Weep
Weep
Weep
In your heart
Weep for the child
Better raise your hand, raise your hand
Were twisting the style
Aint no need to understand, no need
Dont leave me alone to make it
Alone to make it
Alone to make it tonight
