I suppose the reason I chose electrical engineering was because I had always been interested in electricity, involving myself in such projects as building radios from the time I was a child.

Engineering is not merely knowing and being knowledgeable, like a walking encyclopedia; engineering is not merely analysis; engineering is not merely the possession of the capacity to get elegant solutions to non-existent engineering problems; engineering is practicing the art of the organized forcing of technological change... Engineers operate at the interface between science and society...

Electricity
Our one source of energy
The ultimate discovery
Electric blue for me
Never more to be free
Electricity
Nuclear and hep
Carbon fuels from the sea
Wasted electricity
Our one source of energy
Electricity
All we need to live today
A gift for man to throw away
The chance to change has nearly gone
The alternative is only one
The final source of energy
Solar electricity
Electricity
Electricity
Electricity

Rita Rose
I suppose Rita Rose
Now that you found someone new
I don’t mean anything to you
I suppose Rita Rose
That since I left to fight a war
You don’t need me anymore
I suppose Rita Rose
Now that I’m back again
You want me to forget when
It was me that you chose
Just who are you trying to expose
I suppose Rita Rose
Everybody knows
I ran out on you
I suppose Rita Rose
You’ve already chose
A good alibi too
I suppose Rita Rose
It’s all spelled out in prose
What I’m supposed to do
Well I got news for you
I got feeling too
I’ll just turn around
Both feet on the ground
And walk away from you

And if we are in this state, if we had an eternity of probation, what reason have we to suppose that we should profit by it - if we had ever so long a time to chose for ourselves we should pursue our own will, to gratify our carnal I desires.

Growing Up In the Projects
You want to know what it's like,
To grow up in the projects?
Being different and taking risks?
'Can't be that bad! '
Follow me.
'Where are we going? '
Up to the roof.
'To the roof? '
Yeah.
I want to show you something from my point of view.
Now...
Turnaround.
Put your hands behind your back.
'Why? '
I'm going to tie your hands behind your back.
Then I'm going to blindfold you before I leave you alone.
'But...
I might fall off the roof.
Aren't you concerned about that? '
You'll learn to adjust.
If you want to survive.
And...
If you can not get up from a fall?
Maybe you were too blind not to pay attention.
Some steps some folks shouldn't take.
Listening and observation is key.
Common sense is precious.
You be surprise how many lessons one learns,
Growing up in the projects.
'But my hands are tied.
And I can't see.'
I use to hear that all the time!
~Boy! Can't you see my hands are tied?
I can't see where the next dime is coming from.
And all I get from you is lip! ~
Note:
Not too many folks I knew who grew up
in the projects became victims from the experience.
In fact, most of the folks became very successful people.
But...that was a time when expectations were high.
And many years ago when folks chose to have 'some' identity
and dignity connected to the 'self' and a growth process.

Building The Perfect Beast
The power of reason, the top of the heap
Were the ones who can kill the things we
Dont eat
Sharper than a serpents tongue
Tighter than a bongo drum
Quicker than a one-night stand
Slicker than a mambo band
And now the day is come
Soon he will be released
Glory hallelujah!
Were building the perfect beast
(building, building, etc..)
Its olympus this time- olympus or bust
For we have met the enemy -and he is us
And now the day is come
Soon he will be released
Glory hallelujah!
Were building the perfect beast
(building, building)
Ever since we crawled out of the ocean
And stood upright on the land
There are some things that we just dont
Understand:
Relieve all pain and suffering
And lift us out of the dark
Turn us all into methuselah-
But where are we gonna park?
(building, building)
The secrets of eternity-
Weve found the lock and turned the key
Were shakin up those building blocks
Going deeper into that box- (pandora
Wouldnt like it)
And now the day is come
Soon he will be released
Glory hallelujah!
Were building the perfect beast
(building, building)
All the way to malibu from the land of the
Talking drum-
Just look how far-look how far weve come

Building is just skilled labor, I suppose. It's a lot of work. I don't mind other people building them, but the way things go together and are made is interesting to me; I like that a lot.

The fate of attention
I grew interested.
I became interested.
I stayed interested.
I was no more interested.
I was no longer interested.
I grow uninterested.
It is so for every person
And for every thing
We focus our attention on.

Elecrticity
A Flow of Electricity in the brain runs the body
an electrical shock can stop and start the heart
a spark of inspiration is capable of many things
some for the good a few for the bad
a lightning bolt of inspiration
is god given

Did My Time
Did My Time"
Realized I can never win
Sometimes feel like I have failed
Inside where do I begin
My mind is laughing at me
Tell me why am I to blame
Arent we suppose to be the same
Thats why I will never tame
This thing thats burning in me
I am the one who chose my path
I am the one who couldnt last
I Feel the life pulled from me
I feel the anger changing me
Sometimes I can never tell
If I got something after me
Thats why I just beg and plead
For this curse to leave me
Tell me why am I to blame
Arent we suppose to be the same
Thats why I will never tame
This thing thats burning in me
I am the one who chose my path
I am the one who couldnt last
I feel the life pulled from me
I feel the anger changing me
Betrayed
I feel so
Insane
I really
Tried
I did my time
I did my time
I did my time
I did my time
I did my time
I am the one who chose my path
I am the one who couldnt last
I feel the life pulled from me
I feel the anger changing me
O god the angers changing me
O god the angers changing me

Easy Way Out
You'll take advantage, till you think you're being used
'Cause without an enemy your anger gets confused
And I got stuck on a side you know I never chose
But it's all about
Taking the easy way out for you
I suppose
There's no escape for you, except in someone else
Although you've already disappeared within yourself
The invisible man, who's always changing clothes
It's all about
Taking the easy way out for you
I suppose
While I watch you making mistakes
I wish you luck, I really do
With the problem, with the puzzle
Whatever's left of you
I heard you found another audience to bore
Creative thinker, you imagined you were more
A new body for you to push around and pose
It's all about taking the easy way out for you
I suppose
It's all about taking the easy way out for you
I suppose
