Sacrifice not the truth
Not to thy lips
Sacrifice not the truth
To thy brute egotism
Not to thy heart
Sacrifice not the truth
To thy vengeful ill logic
Not to thy spirit
Sacrifice not the truth
To the baneful intentions
Not to thy soul
Sacrifice not the truth
To the sharp arrows of thy lies
Love the truth
Where you are the truth
Shall be your sister
And thy loving companion
The truth you love to tell
Will stand by you will
Forgive you readily without
Hurt and set you free to enjoy
Your truthful honest lived life

Soccer
Soccer
Have you ever been on a soccer field?
Well if you haven't it’s the m amazing thing
It’s like being in heaven but on grass
When the grass is just cut and the potato bugs are jumping in the air it gives you energy to have fun
And if you have been on a field then you know how the freshly cut grass
stings your nose and enlightens your heart to give you extra strength to
play soccer harder than you ever have in your life. That is what it’s like being on a soccer field!

GOAL! SCORE! HORNS BLARING!
soccer fans blowing there horns, eating their food, jumping up and down, painted faces, soccer jerseys, foam fingers, hot blistering sun, fun.
soccer balls roll and fly across the field soaring though the air like a bird with no wings, black and white moving so fast.
soccer bleachers, sweating fans, crumbs of food left in the stands, bird and bees and hornets to fly all around looking for food.
GOAL! SCORE! HORNS BLARING! SOCCER!

All the way to that soccer field
During the nigut
I know you think that sounds crazy
But just trust me for once
And follow me alll the way to that Soccer field
Because I want you to see the stars that shines at night
In the sky at the soccer field

The Beautiful Game (soccer)
I love you more than my old soccer cleats,
The ones I’ll never give up.
I love you more than the perfect field,
The one I use to warm up.
I love you more than my soccer ball,
The one that’s perfect for amazing passes.
I love you more than me running along those different types of grasses.
I love you more than the cheering crowds,
The stands made out of plaster.
I love you more than that perfect kick,
That I have yet to master.
I love you more than my soccer cleats the ones that hold all reason.
I love you more than my coach, my soccer team and my season.
I love you more than winning that world cup,
That we have yet to reclaim.
I can’t believe I love you more than the beautiful game.
I think there are a lot of things that soccer does in the communities that transcend the soccer field.

The Ballad Of “Willie, Bar The Door.”
In the town of Limavady,
I would have you all to know,
William Cummings he was born
A true son of the Roe.
And in that lovely valley
Near to Benevenagh’s feet,
“Willie, bar the door” gave
Many a soccer treat…
For roared on by his public
Throughout the fair north west
This humble Irish sportsman
Put others to the test.
And sure ‘twas in his lifetime
A legend he became
One of the best defenders
In the skilful soccer game.
And many were his exploits-
Oh! far too many to relate!
For on and off the field of soccer
To serve others was his fate.
Alas, William now has left us
But his memory still lives on,
In the hearts of those who knew him
And who loved him as their own.
And sure whenever soccer’s played,
In public park or moor,
We of his generation
Will remember “Bar the door”.

But I think it's also hard to get into soccer here. I think purely on a time level on television as well because of the ad breaks. It's something to do with that as well. You can't show a complete soccer match here. Which I kind of find a bit of an odd thing.

Soccer world cup 2010
Soccer is the word on many lips
soccer world cup 2010
Joyous is the mood all
over the land
A first for a our small nation
flags to be hosted proudly
all over the land
White and black soccer balls
will be played over many fields
Some teams will win
some teams will loose
some teams will cry
some teams will be happy
Praise God Almighty
for this special occasion
a first for our small nation
in Jesus Name

Sacrifice Yourself
Some days he feels so empty
Just a talking head
Married to a klingon
Who could cream him in the press
God could detonate him
Gods the one we pick to curse us
And 25 years pass him
Like an evening at the circus
Dont sacrifice yourself
Dont sacrifice yourself
Surprise yourself
Dont sacrifice yourself
Dont sacrifice yourself
Dont sacrifice yourself
There it is, the look, the winner you
Once talked of being
Give her one last kiss and
Dive right out the window screaming
No truth decent, it was summer from the waist down
She blew the troops right off your feet
She tells you shes gods grammy
Dont sacrifice yourself
Dont sacrifice yourself
Surprise yourself
Dont sacrifice yourself
Dont sacrifice yourself
Dont sacrifice yourself
Her, the only game in town, a queen of competence
Blind in front of mirrors, proving nothings says a lot
Wham bam thank you charlie
Vanity is all
You wander lonely to the scene
A crawling up the walls
Dont sacrifice yourself

My Pop
my pop means the world to me,
he is special aswell.
i love him lots,
but i never tell.
Your really good at soccer,
and good at building stuff.
you've got bug mussels,
and your really tuff.
i will always have you,
deep inside my heart.
that is why,
we'll never be apart.
Last but not least,
your honest and never lie.
it doesnt really matter,
if you cant really fly.

The meeting
I caught your eye
in the Afrikaans literature class
while studying business
at the private university
and you watched me
but the day your car cooked
on the soccer field,
we really met.
I saw your car parked
on the soccer field
and asked Marthinus
my roommate and friend
why it’s parked there?
He said that it belonged
to a really beautiful girl
who probably has trouble with it,
but that people like him and me
didn’t have a chance
with a girl like you.
So I asked him to introduced us
and your eyes were like the sky,
but not blue,
ever changing
sometimes green and brown
and your auburn hair
glittered in the sun.
I fiddled with a connector on the fan
and suddenly it came on
and when I looked
into your eyes
it was into your soul.
You smiled like an angel
and like magic
we were as if alone
and I was under your spell
and when I smiled back
it did something to you
and I knew
that you were the girl for me.
