Of all the arts, music is really the most abstract.

I Want To Live On An Abstract Plain
Ive had it with this town
I never saw those shifting skies
I never saw the ground
Or the sunset rise
I want to live on an abstract plane
Im building a frame
A place to put my ten-yard stare
Thinking of that paint
Painted in plein-air
I want to live on an abstract plane
I need a new adress
I want some new terrain
Is it north or south?
I want to live on an abstract plain
I could sit on the roof
On top of that abstract house
See my abstract view
An abstract mouse
I want to live on an abstract plane
I need a new adress
Tell me Im not insane
Is it up or down?
I want to live on an abstract plane

I think too many people look at the arts with a religious outlook. Arts, music, singing and performing, it's all make-believe.

A Song for the Arts
What ever happened to the ARTS?
hurrah for thunder
The illuminates of time preserved teachings
spanning from the aesthetic arts
to the esoteric and philosophical arts.
Historians take pride in moribund conventions
with the aid of a pen, they live in several millennia ago.
They take pride in the classics and internal relations
they are the key to the future.
Linguists take pride in language
they unravel the mysteries of syntax
they drown in the realm of morphology
they are crowned with phonology
and they are talented with semantics.
Musicologists take pride in musical aestheticism
they unravel the mysteries of dance
they take pride in the act of directing
they are the enchantress of the arts.
Thespians take pride in the theatre
they live a live of more than a hundred people
they anticipate the study and criticism of drama
they wallow in the art of direction and dancing
they are the voice of art.
The fine artist has ink running though his veins
has impressionism to give him confidence
the brush to give him style
the clay to give him muse
the cloth to give him money.
The philosophers are logical
they are analytical and metaphysical
they are ethical and factual
they are mathematical and pragmatic
they are intelligentsia.
The grammarians are barbarians
they trade on words and play on words
they are superficially intelligent and
pragmatically conscious. They know the
semantics of life and understand
the phonology of cosmic vibrations
they are endowed with creativity
they are imbibed by the conscience of fair play
their brainwaves are always at a high beta and
their mind is on a linguistic frequency always.
Finally goes the literans
the mad men of abstract knowledge
the illuminates of the unknown
the pride of classical antiquity
the fluidity of all the arts put in one
the spontaneous overflow of powerful emotions
they are blessed with history, grammar, philosophy, theatre,
music, language
they are the root of art.
long live the arts and humanities...

We deliberately used elements from Brazilian music and from African and Asian music. Now people can hear that but then it sounded so abstract, they couldn't hear it.

Abstract Art
I've got nothing.......
I know it's something.......
It can be anything......
It can be everything!
I saw nothing
A stroke means something.
From a pauper to a king
A faucet to a sink? ?
My friend does abstract
When I view
I have to subtract
What I see
And try not to see
What it could be
And cannot be
That is the art
of Abstract.

How many people make themselves abstract to appear profound. The most useful part of abstract terms are the shadows they create to hide a vacuum.

Music
Music brings joy,
to all of our hearts,
It's one of those,
emotional arts.
Sounds of melodies,
that we truly adore,
Brings us pure pleasure,
as our spirits do soar.
Music that touches us,
we can't help but smile,
We're free to choose,
genre or style.
Music clearly,
enlightens our days,
Makes us happy,
in so many ways

To me, the extraordinary aspect of martial arts lies in its simplicity. The easy way is also the right way, and martial arts is nothing at all special; the closer to the true way of martial arts, the less wastage of expression there is.
We're under the Arts Council under the Minister for the Arts. The Minister for the Arts and the Minister for Industrial Development have great difficulty in agreeing over who should fund what in terms of film.

They are imbeciles who call my work abstract. That which they call abstract is the most realistic, because what is real is not the exterior but the idea, the essence of things.

Abstract painting is abstract. It confronts you. There was a reviewer a while back who wrote that my pictures didn't have any beginning or any end. He didn't mean it as a compliment, but it was.

The Truth Reverse
Nothing is universal,
But, the truth reverse.
What we see sometimes,
Isn't true but farce.
The abstract seems concrete,
The concrete appears abstract.
The thing we hate ever,
Also can attract.

Mama's Boy
could't keep a secret
got a concrete skull
couldn't shut up you're an imbecile
you're an ugly dog there's
nothing to gain
you couldn't shut up got a
bad bad brain
couldn't hold your tongue you were just too young
like a two year old you told you told
you are all the same jelly bean brain
every one's a secret nerd
every one's a closet lame
ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-mama's boy
don't want to work in a hot dog stand
be a busboy messenger or a doorman
it's an abstract world you're an
abstract man
abstract city don't give a damn

God
Multiple magic, myriad isms, sundry deities
Complexity, perplexity
Sobriety, pity, piety
Unmet entreaty, relentless activity
Quest, search, quest, search
The Abstract abstruse..
Peremptorily'O'God'
She, He, It
Name this and that
As you like
Believe mystical or rational
Believe not-be it your personal
Simply the abstract Absolute
Generates, operates, destroys
Quest, search, quest, search
The Abstract abstruse..
Peremptorily'O'God'

The Concrete and the Abstract
The concrete is visible,
the abstract is invisible.
The concrete is the outside,
the abstract is the inside.
The concrete is objective,
the abstract is subjective.
People go on searching for
God in the concrete.
'We would like to see God'
-they say.
But only the concrete can be seen;
the abstract has to be felt.
The concrete can be seen-
with the eyes open,
the abstract has to be seen-
with eyes closed.
God is inside you, as you.
You cannot stand outside God
and see Him;
you can see Him
only from the inside-
by being Him.
If you see a flower,
you can look at it scientifically.
You look at the chemistry of it,
You dissect it and
you come to know
about the components of it.
But something is missed
in that very analysis.
The beauty is missed,
because beauty is not a component.
If you ask the scientist -
'Where is the beauty that was in the flower? ’ he will say-
'That was not there,
it was just an illusion.'
'I have dissected it-
all and all,
and these are the things
that I have found.
These chemicals were there,
this matter was there,
these atoms, these molecules....
but there was no beauty.'
But when the scientist
gives the flower to his wife,
he knows deep within his heart
he is not giving her
something chemical,
He is giving to her
the beauty of the flower.
A poet said -
'Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder',
But I say it lies in the heart of the lover.
That beauty is not be seen,
it has to be felt,
not from the outside,
but from the inside
by being the flower itself.

The informatics/computer science re-establishes not only the unity between the pure and the applied mathematical sciences, the concrete technique and the concrete mathematics, but also that between the natural sciences, the human being and the society. It restores the concepts of the abstract and the formal and makes peace between arts and science not only in the scientist' conscience, but in their philosophy as well.
