Early in the Spring
Early in the spring
Not a leaf has struck the ground
The swallow has yet to sing
And the plowmen are no where to be found
Early in the spring
The forest stands still
And no creature dare come out
Before the sun rises o’er the hill
Early in the spring
The valley holds the morning dew
And its serenity may be captured
By only a certain few
Early in the spring
The trees turn, brown to green
Many changes occur
But few can be seen
Early in the spring
Or in the latter of fall
No matter the change of season
The evergreen stands tall

Villanelle: The Joys of Spring
The Sun wakes the earth, and the birds sing
songs of joy and beauty that strike me with suspense and awe:
Spring fills me with delight about what it will bring.
They rise up in the air, they are the king
of the skies, higher and higher they soar.
O! The joys of Spring.
But when the rain falls, it doesn't matter, for the things
in Spring that are here give me warmth; I don't care that rain will pour:
Spring fills me with delight about what it will bring.
And now I see you, like a new-born lamb; I'm gaping
at your beauty, your whole being, and so much more.
O! The joys of Spring!
Spring, as harbinger of life and hoping,
entices all with possibilities, vivacity, and so much more.
Spring fills me with delight about what it will bring.
So now I offer you my ring,
spend our life like an eternal Spring; I will always keep you in my heart's store:
Spring fills me with delight about what it will bring:
O! The joys of Spring!

Brilliant Genius, April Fool So Tedious
April Fool So Tedious……,
Brilliant Genius, Brilliant Genius …..,
Through an elite prism he sees us……,
Brilliant Genius, Brilliant Genius …..,
One step short of Jesus…….,
No doubt he doesn’t need us……,
And would never heed us……,
But wants to clothe and feed us……,
Poor bare lawn, he’d even seed us…….,
Just like a lonely, forlorn Venus……,
April Fool So Tedious……,
Brilliant Genius, Brilliant Genius…..! ! !

Rainbow Love...
Spring showers advance with darkened sky,
They don't last long and soon they die.
Puddles of liquid life left upon my lawn,
Mother earth drinks her fill and soon they're gone.
I raise my head to gaze into the sky,
I watch the grey clouds as they float by.
My eyes are drawn to a brilliant arc of coloured light,
A rainbow is always such a wonderous sight.
With yellows and greens, reds and blues,
Indigo, violet and sparkling golden hues.
This brilliant arc stands out against dark skies,
A gift to the soul witnessed through the eye's.
As I watch the rainbow streak across the skies,
I recall a myth that rainbows end holds a prize.
It's a fairytale that has been long told,
That rainbows mark a pot of shining gold.
The moral of this tale is here for all to hold,
The true wealth we seek is not made of gold.
The love and care of those we hold so dear,
Is the treasure we should seek to hold so near...
Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Invest In Eternal Account
An account of now and forever
Is set by being washed forgone
And live your sins behind curveture
And be called the new born creature
Immersed in a deep golden name
The account amount of eternal peace
That glows innermost and benearth his name
He is the son of man, in him he loves
The king of wonders in between he stands
The account of eternal love overflows
In him is the cool well of dove
Come it says, drink its waters of life
And be dressed in his grace
That falls like hailstorm rain
From the convenant keeping God
Invest in the eternal account
And nothing shall siege the heart
Praise his name for his miracles
Glory, glory he takes the shape
In the spirit being, the mankind of his
If he is loved, he comes like a storm
And the grain in its story in the cage
Laying in his eternal eternal account

--Winter is dead! Hark, hark, upon our hills
The voices for whose coming thou didst yearn!
Hail Spring! O Life, with happy Spring return!
O Love, revive! Joy's laugh the dawntide fills,
--I shall not see him coming, Joy the vernal,
Joy the heart-wakener, with his songs and roses:
To thee the Spring: to me Death, who discloses
The splendour of another Joy, eternal!

Happy Marriage
A little bit confused was beautiful Spring,
She had to choose for life a bridegroom.
Who will give her a wedding ring?
Three men wanted to be her happy and bloom.
March, April and May vied with each other.
About their great love they quietly talked.
April was for Spring like a brother,
With March she just often liked to walk.
Timid March gave her beautiful primroses,
Out of snowdrops he made a wreath,
He didn't want to know any losses,
He promised her the whole world's wealth.
Delicate and sweet was April.
He gave her a necklace of brilliant drops.
The life with him could be stable, - he said,
She'd be rich and would get good crops.
A wonderful May pleaded Spring:
You are my love! Take my wedding ring!
Be quick, Spring! Be my wife!
We'd be happy together the whole life.
And Spring trusted the handsome May.
Without any delay she sewed the white dress,
For the veil she took the apples blossoms.
That was her best and the happiest day.
The whole world was whirling in the dance.
May was getting married with Spring!
The Earth was full of love and romance,
Happiness to all this marriage would bring.

A Country Path in Late Spring
The path of mossy ground nestled
In between maternal hedgerows,
That overgrew atop, dimming down
The brilliance of the day.
Embosomed, a calm-cool vision –
Abstract takes of nature, in
Leaf-spattered green shades;
Stem-speckled brown hues;
Shards of sunlight percolating
Through the random flaws to
Up glittering sprites upon the leaves.
And avian chatter bounced along the burrow,
Smattered by the crosstalk
Of busybody insects;
But outside the green comfort zone,
Other worlds of other sounds of other life
Otherwise gave a hint of
Other dozy goings on.
Hawthorn filled the air,
Filled the nose,
Filled the head –
Pungency had overpowered all –
Gave the late-spring-early-summer haze.
Here and there a break of colour:
Odd bluebells – escapees from nearby woods –
Blue-blushing bell faces glancing down,
Aware of their erectness in the stem;
The flaming wing of red admirals
Broke through a hedge hole to
Break up the calm backdrop,
While flitting blue tits gave
To greater-bodied animation.
Nature’s warm narration –
The undertones of life.

Spring Song
A BLUE-BELL springs upon the ledge,
A lark sits singing in the hedge;
Sweet perfumes scent the balmy air,
And life is brimming everywhere.
What lark and breeze and bluebird sing,
Is Spring, Spring, Spring!
No more the air is sharp and cold;
The planter wends across the wold,
And, glad, beneath the shining sky
We wander forth, my love and I.
And ever in our hearts doth ring
This song of Spring, Spring!
For life is life and love is love,
'Twixt maid and man or dove and dove.
Life may be short, life may be long,
But love will come, and to its song
Shall this refrain for ever cling
Of Spring, Spring, Spring!

An Early Day in May
May soothed
– sensual breeze caressing.
Snug, she cooed in floral chroma;
Gave artistic license – dressing up
Pubescent fields, teenage woods,
Jaded lanes; embellishing
Craggy watersides.
Warmth was kind – sun tempered,
Lifting life; erecting bluebell swathes
For good measure: late-spring treasure.
At hill’s base
A mirrored lake, brooding,
Bathed in halcyon haze –
Yet hectic life scurried,
Spurred on by procreational drive,
To see it all survived another year.
Back home, garden tulips flared,
Thrust aloft on rigid stems, and
Under day-time brilliance,
Open goblets, clustered,
Sought out heavenly guidance –
Lauding hallowed Tulipa gods.
May is Nature’s intermission –
Bridging April’s go-ahead
With hothead June.

Psalm 93
The eternal and sovereign God.
Jehovah reigns; he dwells in light,
Girded with majesty and might:
The world, created by his hands,
Still on its first foundation stands.
But ere this spacious world was made,
Or had its first foundation laid,
Thy throne eternal ages stood,
Thyself the ever-living God.
Like floods, the angry nations rise,
And aim their rage against the skies;
Vain floods, that aim their rage so high!
At thy rebuke the billows die.
For ever shall thy throne endure;
Thy promise stands for ever sure;
And everlasting holiness
Becomes the dwellings of thy grace.

There She Stands
When the night
Seems to say
All hope is lost
Gone away
But I know
I'm not alone
By the light
She stands
There she waves
Faithful friend
Shimmering stars
Westward wind
Show the way
Carry me
To the place
She stands
Just when you think it might be over
Just when you think the fight is gone
Someone will risk his life to raise her
There she stands
There she flies
Clear blue skies
Reminds us with red
Of those that died
Washed in white
By the grave
In their strength
She stands
When evil calls itself a martyr
When all your hopes come crashing down
Someone will pull her from the rubble
There she stands
We've seen her flying torn and tattered
We've seen her stand the test of time
And through it all the fools have fallen
There she stands
By the dawn's
Early light
And through the fight
She stands

Spring Did Come.
Spring did come,
On butterfly's wings.
On a flitting bird,
And the song it sings.
Spring did come,
When the flowers bloomed,
When it filled the air
With a sweet purfume.
Spring did come,
On the morning's breeze.
Spring did come,
On budding leaves.
Spring did come,
On blades of dew.
Spring did come,
In skies of blue.
Spring did come,
With a joyous ring.
Spring did come...
Welcome, Spring!

Safe From Satan
Satan who seeks to cause us woe, won’t get far when Christ you know,
The One above who gives you peace, even as trials seem not to cease.
As the devil stalks to trouble us, Believers, in Christ, can put their trust;
Reigning above, He’s over all, including the one who caused man’s fall.
Although he roars, we have no fear, for Christ, our Lord, is always near,
And that serpent is a defeated foe, who’s facing our God’s eternal woe.
Though he did bruise Christ’s heel, Satan’s eternal doom, God will seal,
As He casts him into the Lake of Fire, to end that devil’s wicked desire.
Today that wicked one is alive and well, pending his eternal stop in Hell,
Busy stalking, to deceive all men, in this world, that stands condemned.
But as a believer, make no mistake, all of His own, God will not forsake,
All of those men belonging to Him, God has included in His Eternal Win.
For back at the Cross of Calvary, Christ gained for believers the victory,
Not only did Christ die in our stead, but ultimately crushed Satan’s head,
And the ultimate death of all iniquity, that presently plagues you and me,
With death swallowed up in Victory, as God leads Believers into Eternity.
For all those upon earth found in Christ, God will grant them Eternal Life,
Going from here to an eternal Shore; tempted by sin and Satan no more.
This New Life is offered to everyone, from God, through Christ, His Son,
Who for God, became a Sacrifice, for us to enjoy a Satan free Paradise.

Who Can Ascend
Who can ascend God’s holy hill?
Who can call God his friend?
Who can declare he’s done God’s will
And so his soul defend
Can you with heart and soul deny?
That sin has held your hand
So innocent you’ll never die
As God has always planned
Can you stand Jesus face to face?
Stand eye to eye with light
Declare your life’s so full of grace
In robes of brilliant white
Have you a soul so dazzling clean
A heart so rich and sure
That nothing can enter in between
Revealing ought impure
If yes is not your answer friend
If one of them is no
Then help you need before the end
Before to sleep you go
You need God’s Flame to burn inside
God’s Son to stand you by
Accept God’s Lamb for you has died
Before my friend you die
With God there is no darkness there
With God there is no night
No lie will live nor have a share
Where God displays His Light
No place for sin no place for shame
No place for flesh is made
Eternal stands The Righteous Flame
Who’s radiance cannot fade

Spring Fever
(words & music by giant - baum - kaye)
A little bird, he told me so
He said come on, get on the go
Open your eyes the sky is full of butterflies
The blossoms on the trees stir up the honey bees
Spring makes my fever right
Spring fever, spring is here at last
Spring fever, my hearts beating fast
Get up, get out spring is everywhere
Well if you feel the wanderlust
Just grab a car or hop a bus
In every town theres excitement to be found
So much is happening
Dont miss the joy of spring
The worlds in love just look around
Spring fever comes to everyone
Spring fever, its time for fun
Get up, get out spring is everywhere
Spring fever, its spring fever time
Spring fever, watch that fever climb
Get up, get out spring is everywhere
Spring is everywhere

Kiss You Again
Laughing, singing, dancing, enjoying life,
thanks for being so sweet and kind and
brilliant and shiny and inspiring, you are
a bright light unto me, thanks for contri-
buting to my passionate delight with life
Thanks for eternal moments of infinite
love, moments I relive in my life every
time I dance in the sun and sing with
the wind, pure light without spectral
lines, you became a godly being
In the prism of my mind, a pure golden
light of divine inspiration – come, let
me kiss you again…

Spring Is
Spring is birds singing their heads off
Spring is a beautiful season full of color
Spring is the constant war between the sun and rain
Spring is the light at the end of the long winter tunnel
Spring is the season that brings back life
