It's strange how parts come along, how life lives us, and what we get to do with the abilities that are given us.

The Strange Tree
There’s a strange tree which lives near me,
And this strange tree could not agree,
That if this tree could ever see,
A stranger tree it sure would be.
There’s a strange tree which topples me,
For this strange tree was tall, you see,
And then this tree would use its knee,
To break in three, the clouds who flee.
There’s a strange tree which lives near me,
The northern tree, its branches free,
The southern tree, no limb to see,
For this strange tree, was strange, you see?
There’s a strange tree which I can see,
And this strange tree (against my plea)
Was sent to sea, its roots now free,
And now this tree… A ship is he.
End.
Pulling myself together for M'lady Ann Beard
In dreams I can communicate
with disparate parts of me.
I’m learning to appreciate.
The frightening complexity
Of the different parts of me.
Which I must balance constantly
A task I must face every day
so they combine to make me, me..
I am a father and a son.
I am a brother and a friend.
The endless list goes on and on.
It seems as though it has no end.
Somehow I manage to control
at least the parts on public view.
The scattered parts which make the whole
But still conceal a thing or two.
The parts of me I need to change.
I’m sure I can do given time.
Some parts of me are weird and strange.
Like creatures from an earlier time.
The Id tries to assert its will.
The ego sure to disagree.
The super ego bids them both be still.
I just accept they’re part of me.
When other people look at me.
I wonder if they wonder too
If they can see reality.
I am not certain that I do.

consider many choices
opportunities in life
our abilities suit us to
different pursuits

Strange Magic
Youre sailing softly through the sun
In a broken stone age dawn.
You fly so high.
I get a strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Youre walking meadows in my mind,
Making waves across my time,
Oh no, oh no.
I get a strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Oh, Im never gonna be the same again,
Now Ive seen the way its got to end,
Sweet dream, sweet dream.
Strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic.
Its magic, its magic, its magic.
Strange magic,
Oh, what a strange magic,
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic.
Strange magic strange magic
Oh, what a strange magic strange magic
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic.
Strange magic strange magic
Oh, what a strange magic strange magic
Oh, its a strange magic.
Got a strange magic,
Got a strange magic,
You know I got a strange magic,
Yeah, I got a strange magic,
Oo-o-o-oo, strange magic. (fade)

the Self
the self is a mountain
you can go exploring
some parts are not reachable
and some parts so riveting
you just wish to sing them songs
some parts are caves you can shout
and hear your own echoes
some parts are a make belief
haunted house you can frighten yourself with
some parts are chambers of
mysteries you can get lost on your own

Strange Thing
Here lives a pocket full of lives with no future
Take it for what it is, its only drunken lies
You should open up your mind, look to the future
You could be waiting for the ship that sails you home
Im going home
What would you give me for the songs that Ive been singing
How could you ever say that youve got more than me?
Mick says that he can never get no satifaction
These days I think I know exactly what he means
What does he mean?
You wont get
You dont get
What you need
Life is a strange thing
You wont get
You dont get
What you need
Life is a strange thing now
Here lives a pocket full of lives with no future
Take it for what it is, its only drunken lies
You should open up you mind, look to the future
You could be waiting for the ship that sails you home
Im going home
You wont get
You dont get
What you need
Life is a strange thing
You wont get
You dont get
What you need
Life is a strange thing now

Every Day
Every day I see him coming
Every day he walks on by
Life used to be so plain and simple
Before he came into my life
Every night I keep on dreaming
Every night I take him home
We always go to bed together
I always wake up all alone
Chorus:
Oh its strange, so strange
What hes doing to me
Oh its strange so strange
Did this ever happen to you
The way it has happened to me
The way it just happened to me
Every day outside my window
Always minutes close to eight
I wish he stayed a little longer
But his bus is never late
Every night were dancing slowly
I play the music he adores
Like Sinatra then were talking
All important things for sure
Chorus:
Oh its strange so strange
What hes doing to me
Oh its strange so strange
Did this ever happen to you
The way it has happened to me
The way it just happened to me
Oh its strange so strange
What hes doing to me
Oh so strange real strange
Did this ever happen to you
The way it has happened to me
The way it just happened to me

Me, Myself and I
You can choose to hate me
Or love me
You can choose to be a friend
Or an enemy
But that do not change
My abilities and capabilities
I am who i am destined to be
I can only be me
I know you have love for vanity
But i am the spirit
Which lives within me
I am not my skin
Nor what i wear
I am not what i hear
your perception do not
Put me to fear
No matter what happens
I will strive to live my life
For my life is my life

Communication
An expression mirror images that which we feel.
It can never compare to those emotions, those moments in our lives that affect us the most.
We still must try, the communication of worlds so keen upon unnatural and unhindered abilities.
With words is but a window in to both your and my life.
And with it comes an understanding and a tie between us as human beings.

What Are Best Choices?
At present I work
under my own direction
and financial freedom.
This may change after June
2011 world politics will soon
go through an oiled polar shift
illuminati is cause and effect.
At present
both my daughters
are very young
both my sons
have attained degrees?
financially sprung?
Even had they failed
I would be proud
if they had persevered
with genuine effort.
Perceive many choices
opportunities in oyster life
our abilities suit us to
irritation different pursuits?
Change is possible
and desirable
until we find
where our abilities
are best applied.
Youth flux young
have siren abilities
conflict difficulty
of being a teenager
is often complicated
by awareness
of economic life
pressures to succeed
in a career
to gain status
and enjoy
an asset better
lifestyle.
Where in truth
does real happiness lie
what are best choices?

It would be futile to attempt to fit women into a masculine pattern of attitudes, skills and abilities and disastrous to force them to suppress their specifically female characteristics and abilities by keeping up the pretense that there are no differences between the sexes.

Strange And Ironic
While NASA tries to read your mind
Research labs create new life
Did we really walk on the moon?
Are you still watching the news?
Strange and ironic
How trusty is this world
Strange and ironic
How we take care of the Earth
While Middle East burns and suffers
The lobby cheers and cracks in laughter
It is a shame, we're not gonna make it
Visions are behind bars
It's like an illness or a disease
It's like we're made for war
Strange and ironic
How we believe in God
Strange and ironic
Since everything's a fraud
While markets trade human parts
We ask ourselves if science is art
It is a shame, we're not gonna make it
Because it is out of our hands
It is out of reach, out of proportions
And soon will come to an end
All I wanted was to disappear
Do or die!
It is a shame, we're not gonna make it
Everything you know is wrong
A race for knowledge, a quest for power
So who is number one?
All I wanted was to disappear

Country Is Like A Body
When one part sick
All parts look unhealthy
When one part missing
All parts get the impact
When one part is weak
Do other parts only blame and not help to fix it?
When one part is failed
Do other parts only let it fall and not support it?
Even it is often forgotten
It doesn't mean it is not important
Even it is always underestimated
It doesn't mean it could completely be ignored
One part may be incapable
But it doesn't mean all parts can do nothing
One part may be invalid
But it doesn't mean all parts should also give up the spirit
In some incredible moment they are working together
In some unseen place they don't stop to struggle
It may be hard but always raises up the hope
It may be small change but always look forward

Strange Days
Sometimes we have strange days
when you are going somewhere
you have been countless times before.
As you drive down the roads,
it is as if it is the first time you have been there.
Arriving at your destination
everyone you see reminds you of someone else
in a different place many miles from where you are.
With some, it is the way they walk,
in others the ways they do their hair.
Strange days when nothing
seems the way it should be.
You journey through the day
as if you’re walking in a dream,
all the time wondering
when reality is going to kick in.
How will you feel tomorrow
when you wake to a new day,
will it be as strange as the one
you experienced today.
Only tomorrow knows
and its secrets it is not giving up
to you or anyone else.
Until the day is over more strange things
you may uncover
on what I call strange days
that happen occasionally in our lives.
