Pink Cashmere

Ooh, here I go again
Falling in love all over
Ooh, the cycle never ends
U just pray u dont get burned
Ooh, this fire inside of me
Dont nobody realize
Ooh, what u r 2 me
But baby u got 2 learn
Im making u a coat of pink cashmere
U got 2 know how I feel about u
How I always want u near
Im making u a coat of pink cashmere
Im counting every minute of every hour
til u r here
Girl, can u understand
I never used 2 go dancing
I...i was the kind of man who rather stay at home
Now, when I think about
H-how much I miss u
I wanna jump for joy
And thank him Im not alone (I am not alone)
Ooh, Im making u a coat of pink cashmere
U got 2 know how I feel about u baby
How I always want u near
Im making u a coat of pink cashmere
Im gonna count every minute of every hour
Until u r here (til u r here)
Here I go again
Falling in love all over
The cycle never ends (cycle never endin)
U pray u dont get burnt
Im making u a coat (Im making u a coat of pink cashmere)
Cashmere, baby, cashmere (u got 2 know how I feel about u)
U got 2 know (how I always want u near)
Yeah baby, baby, baby, baby (Im making u a coat of pink cashmere)
How I feel about u
How I feel about u
(Im counting every minute of every hour, til u r here)
When I get my arms around u baby (yeah)
So many things Im gonna do (pink cashmere)
Im gonna hug u (u got 2 know how I feel about u)
Im gonna kiss u (how I always want u near)
Like your, like your guru (Im making u a coat of pink cashmere)
I wanna tell u a bedtime story baby
1 u never heard before (Im counting every minute of every hour - every hour)
I said 1 u never heard before (how I feel about u)
About a girl (coat of pink cashmere)
About a boy
And all their joy
All the things they show each other (coat of pink cashmere)
How 2 stay in love
How 2 stay so happy
Baby girl (coat of pink cashmere)
So many things
So many things
Im gonna do
Cant u come 2 me? (coat of pink cashmere)
Cant u get 2 me?

Cashmere morning

It's a cashmere type of morning
Warm and plush in many ways
It is very important to me
To feel this comfort
On such a cold and fridget day
The atmosphere seems frozen
Due to the harmful words
which was once said
The type of words
Which can send
forth chills down inside
Playing over and over
In ones head
Yet, instead
Iam confident and comforted
For to me
It's a Cashmere Day
Iam covered
From the cold
In a warm
Precious and yet delicate way
It's partly due to your presence
Which envokes purpose and
passion to embrace
It's your
Classic charisma
The special words you say
Your elegant style
Of encouragement
Also, the warmth of your touch
The hidden strength
You share
with others
That really means so much
It's a Cashmere Day

Sweet Potato Muffin Cake

Sweet potato muffin cake,
What is it going to take...
For you to let me get,
Another hug and squeeze?

I promise the next time,
Not to sneeze and cough.
My allergies flared up...
Just when you took your sweater off.
Who knew I was allergic to cashmere?

Sweet potato muffin cake,
What is it going to take...
For you to let me get,
Another hug and squeeze?

Now that you know,
Cashmere and I do not agree...
Perhaps you will give me,
Another opportunity?

On Some Rose Leaves Brought From The Vale Of Cashmere

Faded and pale their beauty, vanished their early bloom,
Their folded leaves emit alone a sweet though faint perfume,
But, oh! than brightest bud or flower to me are they more dear,
They come from that rose-haunted land, the bright Vale of Cashmere.

Cashmere! a spell is in that name! what dreams its sound awakes
Of roses sweet as Eden’s flowers, of minarets and lakes,
Of scenes as vaguely, strangely bright as those of fairy land,
Springing to life and loveliness ’neath some enchanter’s wand!

Cashmere! poetic in its name, its clear and brilliant skies
That seem to clothe earth, flower and wave in their own lovely dyes;
Poetic in its legend lore, and spell more dear than all,
Enshrined in poet’s inmost heart, the home of “Nourmahal.”

Yes, there oft fell her fairy feet, there shone the glances bright,
That won for her the glorious name of harem’s queen and light;
There, as she wandered ’mid its bowers, her royal love beside,
She taught him to forget all else save her, his beauteous, bride.

Cashmere! what would this heart not give to see thy favored earth,
So rich in nature’s peerless gifts, in beauty’s dazzling worth,
Rich in a name that in mine ear from childhood’s hour hath rung,
The land of which impassioned Moore with such sweet power hath sung.

Yet, were I there, oh! well I know the time would surely come
When my yearning heart would turn again to my far Canadian home,
Longing to look once more upon its wintry wastes of snow,
And the friends whose hearts throb like mine own, with friendship’s changeless glow.

Study of Barbara

In the easy heave
and lazy reclination
of their cashmere lake,

Barbara's buoy. Yet
despite the talc
daubed on at dawn,

beneath both eyes by noon
the scar of night
burns Barbara through.

Cashmere overcoat
closed out from Sims
warm, with navy hems
reaching past the knee
pocket deep and buttons three
fastened to the throat
collar up against the winds
cloaking many sins
sadly you mis-tag me
a 'have'
though in grim reality
I 'haven't.'

South Winds jostle them

86

South Winds jostle them—
Bumblebees come—
Hover—hesitate—
Dri nk, and are gone—

Butterflies pause
On their passage Cashmere—
I—softly plucking,
Present them here!

Don't cry my cute Turkey bird

A kind fox very sophisticated like a politician who sings well;
'It's a risk roaming at odd hours these days in twilight
I have a party invited across the river for thanksgiving
And I take you there with me, I promise you dear
And I give you my cashmere ribbon-shawl then you can cover your beautiful face,
Lets go together
And I never betray you my dear!

Luxurious

Working so hard, every night and day
And now we get the pay back
Trying so hard, saving up the paper
Now we get to lay back
Working so hard, every night and day
And now we get the pay back, the pay back, the pay back
Champagne kisses, hold me in your lap of luxury
I only want to fly first-class desires, you're my limousine
So elegant, the way we ride, our passion, it just multiplies
There's platinum lightning in the sky
Look I'm livin' like a queen
This kind of love is getting expensive
We know how to live, baby
We're luxurious, like Egyptian cotton
We're so rich in love, we're rollin' in cashmere
Got it in fifth gear, baby
Diamond in the rough is lookin' so sparkly
Working so hard, every night and day
And now we get the pay back
Trying so hard, saving up the paper
Now we get to lay back
Working so hard, every night and day
And now we get the pay back, the pay back, the pay back
Sugar, honey, sexy baby
When we touch it turns to gold
Sensitive and delicate, kinda like a tuberose
You know you are my treasure chest
It's pure perfection when we kiss and
You're my Mr., I'm your Miss
Gonna be until we're old
This kind of love is getting expensive
We know how to live, baby
We're luxurious, like Egyptian cotton
Working so hard, every night and day
And now we get the pay back
Trying so hard, saving up the paper
Now we get to lay back
Working so hard, every night and day
And now we get the pay back, the pay back, the pay back
[2x]
Cha-ching, cha-ching, we're loaded and we're not gonna blow it
Cha-ching, cha-ching, we're hooked up with the love cause we grow it
Cha-ching, cha-ching, we got hydroponic love and we're smokin'
Cha-ching, cha-ching, we burn it, you and I, we are so lit
And we're so rich in love, we're rollin' in cashmere
Got it in fifth gear, baby
Diamond in the rough is lookin' so sparkly
Working so hard, every night and day
And now we get the pay back
Trying so hard, saving up the paper
Now we get to lay back
Working so hard, every night and day
And now we get the pay back, the pay back, the pay back

An Angel Walks In Snowdrifts

On cashmere snows
An angel walks in snowdrifts.
It's here; she weaves no tracing steps
Those wolves or roe deer trackers can follow.

Just, when the winds fall hush…
Downwind, she watches, over us…
Just as the icicle hangs in orbit she to hovers
She glides and settles, directly above us.

On a whispered thread!
The world is hung, upon a silent breath…
And the sluggish stopped heart beats on anew
As wind, and snow and her wings flutter on aglow.

If I could bribe them by a Rose

179

If I could bribe them by a Rose
I'd bring them every flower that grows
From Amherst to Cashmere!
I would not stop for night, or storm—
Or frost, or death, or anyone—
My business were so dear!

If they would linger for a Bird
My Tambourin were soonest heard
Among the April Woods!
Unwearied, all the summer long,
Only to break in wilder song
When Winter shook the boughs!

What if they hear me!
Who shall say
That such an importunity
May not at last avail?

That, weary of this Beggar's face—
They may not finally say, Yes—
To drive her from the Hall?

Clean slate every day they
Keep you moving when
You're not bored stiff waiting

I wear as many hats as
wardrobe can supply
Fine felt felonious weasel cashmere glitz
to average Joe union guy
Work boot denim crew coat
rawhide stiff

More than most actors
The hats are spectacular
Fine with me-
I prefer such
I like it like this
Medical intern hours
Every third day I take a shower
What's the feature attraction?

Roll sound, roll camera
Mark it, Frame and...

Some Rainbow—coming from the Fair!

64

Some Rainbow—coming from the Fair!
Some Vision of the World Cashmere—
I confidently see!
Or else a Peacock's purple Train
Feather by feather—on the plain
Fritters itself away!

The dreamy Butterflies bestir!
Lethargic pools resume the whir
Of last year's sundered tune!
From some old Fortress on the sun
Baronial Bees—march—one by one—
In murmuring platoon!

The Robins stand as thick today
As flakes of snow stood yesterday—
On fence—and Roof—and Twig!
The Orchis binds her feather on
For her old lover - Don the Sun!
Revisiting the Bog!

Without Commander! Countless! Still!
The Regiments of Wood and Hill
In bright detachment stand!
Behold! Whose Multitudes are these?
The children of whose turbaned seas—
Or what Circassian Land?

I am ashamed—I hide

473

I am ashamed—I hide—
What right have I—to be a Bride—
So late a Dowerless Girl—
Nowhere to hide my dazzled Face—
No one to teach me that new Grace—
Nor introduce—my Soul—

Me to adorn—How—tell—
Trinket—to make Me beautiful—
Fabrics of Cashmere—
Never a Gown of Dun—more—
Raiment instead—of Pompadour—
For Me—My soul—to wear—

Fingers—to frame my Round Hair
Oval—as Feudal Ladies wore—
Far Fashions—Fair—
Skill to hold my Brow like an Earl—
Plead—like a Whippoorwill—
Prove—like a Pearl—
Then, for Character—
Fashion My Spirit quaint—white—
Quick—like a Liquor—
Gay—like Light—
Bring Me my best Pride—
No more ashamed—
No more to hide—
Meek—let it be—too proud—for Pride—
Baptized—this Day—a Bride—

The worthless stuff

I work here in a Gas station
As a Sales Associate.
But collect the trash bags
from the bins too
A part of my job?
When I remove the heavy bags
The kind customers dump?
My innocent thoughts flew without wings
to my bygone golden school days!
I love that old man we call him 'Charlie uncle'
Who collects garbage and look after the ground.
O that attractive Teacher for Literature
who wears Indian Cashmere saris at all
and she got dimples on her both cheeks
when she smiles!
One day she questioned me; 'Nimal you want to be a writer
Lawyer or a Doctor? '
'Yes Teacher, I would like to be a writer
If not a Scavenger? ' I replied happily.

To that uncle charlie & the Literature teacher!

Big Sur

Do do do do do do do do do
Cashmere hills filled with evergreens
Flowin from the clouds down to meet the sea
With the granite cliff
(big sur mount)
As a referee
Crimson sunsets and golden dawns
A mother deer with their newborn fawns
All under big sur skies
(big sur mount)
Thats where I belong.
Big sur Ive got plans for you
Me and mine are going to
Add ourselves to your lengthy list of lovers
(big sur mount)
And live in canyons covered in springtime green
Wild birds and flowers to be heard and seen
And with my old guitar
Ill make up songs to sing.
Where bubbling springs from the mountainside
Join the big sur river to the oceanside
Where the kids can look for sea shells at low tide
Big sur my astrology it says that I am made to be
Where the rugged mountain meets the water
And so while stars shine brightly from up above
The fog rolls in through a redwood grove
And to my dying fire I think Ill add a log.
From time to time I must go away
The thoughts of big sur wont let me stay
Away from big sur
Oh big sur
