A man's true wealth is the good he does in the world. Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror. But you are eternity and you are the mirror.

The Mirror Struggled
The mirror struggled; reflecting beauty such as hers
Prescribed a glory in the challenge – a fairytale
Or such as like! To shimmer back hypnotic hues
From auras of her skin – how do mirrors cope?
Hoary tales of pretty adolescent buds
Could never hope to match the tomes of dreamy
Pulchritude apprising us of such a belle as she.
The mirror shone; and as it worked itself, a moment –
Did it overlook the hidden melancholy?
Were melting eyes bedewed–? Florid lips imbued
With mournfulness? The hindrance of the silver glass!
Oh! to seek – to know the meaning of the sorrow!
She (with tearful hair, an image out of heaven)
Never opened up her heart. The mirror struggled.

O My Mirror
Beauty and Beloved: more said the better
Is it a need or an ecstasy? It is the latter.
At times it is a delightful soul enchanter
Like pliable raindrops on a silver platter.
Is it photographer, mirror or a painter?
Colorful blooms besides flowing water.
Rather an image I see with closed eyes
A hallucination of soul takes close byes.
You are the veil and you are the life
Murmuring songs just like my wife.
Is Eternity gazing at itself or at you?
Now Eternity in the mirror is only you.
The Buddhas, the Rumies and the sages
Illuminate ways of opulence with compassion.
The art of endurance near greed and excess
Is sure to polish the mirror, you can profess.
The mirror of the mind is your face
Eyes looking down discreet are base.
Don't be ashamed to look at yourself,
Fervently ask forgiveness for yourself.
Beloved show me that hideous part
That is despised, before I too depart.
Enlightened Seer pray helps the blind
Or I am swept off by a speeding wind.
An undisturbed psyche for me may be
As in quite waters I undistorted see.
For finding my faults I use a mirror;
People use telescopes to examine me.
Folks use books to enlighten themselves
Proudly to exhibit their decorate shelves.
Someone explains them what are they
Mirror on each wall in a blind man's cell.
Another name for Mirror is reflection
Eternity is the last of your expectation.
Human understanding is counterfeit
Distorting, discoloring your thoughts.
O my Mirror.

Mirror Mirror
Mirror mirror
You tell lies
Who put crows feet
Round my eyes?
Mirror mirror
Hanging there
Who put that grey
In my hair?
Mirror mirror
Is that me
Is that really
Me I see?
Mirror Mirror
Stop your fun
That's not me
That is my mum
Mirror mirror
Don't stare back
For it's bad luck
If you should crack
Mirror mirror
On days like these
When what I see
Doesn't please
Mirror mirror
My mood this day
Will ask you turn
The other way!

Lovely truth for temporal beauty
There was a beautiful queen living in a tower
Asking the mirror everyday she did,
with the same question in the same voice pitch:
Mirror hanging on the wall
Who is the fairest of all
The mirror always replied:
Your beauty is the one and never dy
Days became month and months became years
Ages gone by with the same ly that shed her fear
of aging and getting wrinkles on all her face
and very soon reaching the grim fate
in which she slept for eternity in her chair
with the old mirror of old lies answers
that she were the fairest of all

Mirror, Mirror, Bloody Fibber
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Can't you show me tall and slim?
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Must I look so bloody grim?
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
You're distorting my poor waist!
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
And why the heck am I defaced?
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Why have I a double chin?
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
And what's the stupid, goofy grin?
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Pointless asking ‘Who’s the fairest? –
More bloody likely, 'Who’s the queerest? ’
Now look, I paid a big bucks for thee,
So why can’t you be nice to me?
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who’s the fairest of them all?
Me, you say? Ah, that's better –
Mirror, mirror, bloody fibber!

Tearful Eyes
The mirror laughed; it gleaned my thoughts
And saw me cry my want:
Synthetic views - pathetic clues
To how I tick - and now you taunt,
You bleeding mirror, jibe another!
Just because I dream…
To be the mighty hero wise!
And perch atop the sodden hill
Of blood and pungent death,
To lead our race from sure demise.
Let's regain, collect, and rest
Before the battle slams
Our dauntless nerve. And now to rise!
Come follow me - we'll slay the foe!
See my cloak unfurl.
Through screams and wails, he fails and dies.
Look! he falls across his minions'
Path. I laugh aloud.
My warriors hold me to the skies.
Overhead the clouds recede,
Thinning out the black.
And then I fade in pallid lies.
Returning back to conscious state,
I let the mirror slate me:
Fathoming my remote disguise,
Reflecting back my hopeless lot.
Oh to smash the thing!
If I could see through tearful eyes.

In the mirror I stand
In the mirror I stand all alone
My lifelong purpose still unknown,
In the mirror I ask myself why
In the mirror I see myself die,
In the mirror I see my life
With darkened sorrows that fill my strife,
In the mirror I see my pain
In the mirror it starts to rain,
In the mirror I stand all night
Holding on gripping so tight,
So in the mirror I count 1,2
And in the mirror I wish for you…,

Reflection
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Why do I look in you, at all,
For all I see is the same old me,
And not how I so want to be.
Mirror, mirror on the stairs,
Why do you show me many years,
A face with wrinkles everywhere,
Would anybody like my share.
Mirror, mirror near my bed,
In you I look with certain dread,
For creams and potions just don't work,
Behind them still the wrinkles lurk.
Mirror, mirror in the hall,
Seeing you makes me recall,
That I am now of senior age,
Well stuck into the wrinkles stage.
Mirror, mirror by the door,
How I hate you more and more,
I'm having to look the other way,
When my reflection's on display.

Art Will Show To Eternity Your Soul
I am a woman, using a mirror everyday,
Like all of you, i'm seeing my reflection into it,
Even i am sad, happy, tired or bored,
What i'm seeing in my mirror it's my physical reality, my own truth.
I combed my hair and looked into my mirror,
I felt so delicate, unique and simple,
Having a smile on my face today,
My mirror will smile me back as feedback in same way.
I am a painter, i adore art,
In everything i'm painting it's life,
In each painting and spot of paint my brush does,
It's a history of great ideas my minds holds.
A painting is a gate to our inner side,
Through it vibrates the universe to our hearts,
A mirror will always show your face reflection to the world,
But art will show to eternity your soul.

The Mirror
I look into my mirror
So I can see who I am,
But all I see is myself,
I don't ever see a man.
There stands a sad soul
Who is unhappy with himself,
Who wished that he was different,
As I wish; He was someone else.
I stare into my mirror
As always to myself I softly cry,
I wonder why no one ever hears me
And why in this life must I survive.
I wish that I was different
Though I know that, will never be
It be like the pebble becoming the rock
Or a bush, becoming a tree.
I gaze into my mirror
As I stand there all alone
Why must it be me against the world
Why must I help every one else’s moan.
I then see the fool that I am
He is gazing right back at me,
I know that he will always fail
Because a man, they wont let him be.
I reflect into my mirror
As I see my years come and go,
I know that for me, it will only be me
And for everyone else I must show.
And I know the time will come one day
When my son will make his stand,
And into his mirror I hope when he looks,
Through the help of family and friends, he sees a man.

Mirrors Never Lie
Looking into a mirror, can reveal the deepest secrets a person has.
It tells you who you really are, even if you’re trying to hide it.
It’s amazing what people can hide, when they smile or laugh.
They can be the saddest people in the world and no one will ever know.
Except a mirror.
You may be able to lie to others,
But when you look into a mirror, you can’t lie to yourself.
The mirror shows you what’s inside, and how you feel.
It tells you how beautiful you really are, and it shows you.
Looking into the mirror is like looking into your soul,
You look at yourself, you judge yourself.
But you see more than normal people do when you look in a mirror.
Because they only see you from the outside.
So remember that the next time you look in a mirror,
You are looking at your true self,
Because mirrors never lie.

The Mirror...
I Looked At The Mirror
Mirror, Looked Back At Me
I Asked The Mirror
What Do You See?
The Mirror Smiled
“Same As You See”
I Touched The Mirror
The Mirror, Touched Me
Pressing To Break Thru
Glass Vanity
For Tho’ Eye To Eye
Sometimes I See
Mirror’s Right
Is Left To Me
And My Right Side … Made Mirror Left
I Got Perplexed At Imagery
And I Turned Away From Mirror
And Mirror Turned From Me
Our Backs To Each Other
Exposed Rigidly
But, Both Turned Back To Face
And Touch Same Place, And Be
Contained and Content
In Each Other’s Space Respectfully
We Shattered The Barrier
Between Mirror and Me
Back To Reflecting Our World
And The Same Things, We See …
Oh … Mirror, Mirror …
Reflecting You … Seeing Me …

Arrival of the Newborn
Every birthday
I turn a year older
But when you wish
“Happy birthday,
Many happy returns of the day”
I feel younger than my age
And long to be here for
Eternity!
Inside me is a world
Unaffected by time
Outside the world changes
Faces grow old
Beautiful people become wizened
Every beauty comes to end of term
My eyes mirror all these.
I look for no shore
I don’t stand before the mirror
The transforming reflections
I abhor!
I love to live on
With the unchanging world inside,
In wait- tranquil and forlorn
For the arrival of the newborn!

Mirror To Mirror
Written by gerry beckley, 1994
Found on hourglass.
I havent seen forever
Dont even know her name
I call on dreams and other schemes
To try and win that game
Now that its over, darling
Look into my eyes
Seein your own reflection
Much to your surprise
Were seein mirror to mirror
Face to face
We look but we cannot see
Mirror to mirror
Seems to trace
What happened to you and me
And though we tried in earnest
The distant silence yells
We call on wings and other things
To try and break that spell
Now that its over, darling
Truth in the common cause
We stare at our own indifference
By seeing the others flaws
Were seein mirror to mirror
Face to face
We look but we cannot see
Mirror to mirror
Seems to trace
What happened to you and me
Oh, mirror to mirror, mirror to mirror
Mirror to mirror, whats come over me
As we look inside, theres nowhere to turn
Theres nowhere to hide
Now that its over, darling
Look into my eyes
Seein your own reflection
Much to your surprise
Were seein mirror to mirror
Face to face
We look but we cannot see
Mirror to mirror
Seems to trace
What happened to you and me
Oh, mirror to mirror, mirror to mirror
Mirror to mirror, whats come over me
Mirror to mirror, mirror to mirror
Mirror to mirror, whats come over me

Moments of Vision
That mirror
Which makes of men a transparency,
Who holds that mirror
And bids us such a breast-bare spectacle see
Of you and me?
That mirror
Whose magic penetrates like a dart,
Who lifts that mirror
And throws our mind back on us, and our heart,
until we start?
That mirror
Works well in these night hours of ache;
Why in that mirror
Are tincts we never see ourselves once take
When the world is awake?
That mirror
Can test each mortal when unaware;
Yea, that strange mirror
May catch his last thoughts, whole life foul or fair,
Glassing it -- where?

Mirror To Infinity...
(Gen.1: 26,27 / Matt.13: 10–15)
The Mirror To Infinity
Has Appearances of Possibilities
And Countless Windows In Views
And Decision Doors To Choose …
And Which One To Go Thru?
Where Time – In & Out Moves
The Mirror To Infinity
Has Images of Eternity …
The Mirror To Infinity
Opened Oval-Opportunities
& May Shape Your Personality
But You Form Your Own Finality …
Took A Peek – One Before & Behind
In Two-Way Mirrors of Heart & Mind
& The Astronomical Portals Availed
… One Had To Be A Fool To Fail!
Two Mirrors Faced On Opposite Walls
Both To Each Other Looked & Called
And Entered Each Other’s Visibility
And Became One Mirrored-Intensity …
The Mirror To Infinity
Has Vivid Visions of Great Beauty
Beyond Ocular Imagination
It Even Has Rainbows’ Admirations
Where Insights, In-Flights Come Together
In Gold-Framed Fractals To Forever
Is It A Diverse Dimension Indemnity
… This Mosaic Mirror To Infinity?
The Mirror To Infinity
Offers Us A Multi-Mystery
Thru Secret Territories
In A Mirror’s Observatory …
The Mirror To Infinity
Holds Hopes & Dreams of What May Be
What Future Would You Like To See
… In The Mirror To Infinity?
Oh, Do Not Let Dull-Doubt Take It!
Nor Must You Let Blindness Break It!
Where You’ll Lay Shattered In The Past
Or You’re Trapped In A Piece of Its Glass …
The Mirror To Infinity
Set Royal Realms Around Reality
And Reaches On and On and On …
Its Gospel-Gaze Is Never Gone …
But Ever Staring Strong
– in The Mirror To Infinity –
