The practice of executing such offenders is a relic of the past and is inconsistent with evolving standards of decency in a civilized society.

No Recidivists
No recidivists
When clever Dr Guillotine
perfected his humane machine
for executing criminals.
It was accepted straight away
as being a much better way
of executing criminals
The state made no apology
for using this technology
for executing criminals.
The product of a brilliant brain
He was convinced it caused less pain
when executing criminals.
The guillotine’s not used today
It was a most effective way
of executing criminals.
Though not regarded as P.C
I think it proved effectively
that executing criminals
Ensured they did not re-offend
Results on which we can depend
by executing criminals.
You may see this as cruelty
Some states do not as you can see.
They still execute criminals.

Out of the past come the standards for judging the present; standards in turn to be shaped by the practice of present-day dramatists into broader standards for the next generation.

Honesty Has a Difficult Time Being Respected
Liars always seem to have their supporters.
Praising them for past deeds and activities.
Although they proclaim themselves,
To have morals and integrity.
With high standards obtained and reached.
But there is something about a liar,
That can teach those who may be disappointed.
A liar in today's society...
Has been lifted to realms of praise.
It is those who tell the truth and pursue decency,
That are despised and criticized for being arrogant.
And honesty has a difficult time being respected.

Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian state represents a complete defeat for the civilized world, while a totally voluntary society represents its ultimate success.

The civilized society
I am in a civilized society.
No outlet for hatred.
So I watch violence in movies.
No outlet for libido
So I watch blue films.
I am in a civilized society.

A society like ours, which professes no one religion and has allowed all religions to decay, which indulges freedom to the point of license and individualism to the point of anarchy, needs all the support that responsible, cultivated homes can furnish. I hope your generation will provide a firmer shelter for civilized standards.

Practice Every Step
Practice every step.
Do not second guess what it takes.
Practice every step.
Practice every step.
There's no sleeping for someone who has a place to go,
So...
Practice every step.
Practice every step.
Focus on that goal,
And tighten on your hold,
And...
Practice every step.
Practice every step.
Practice every step.
Do not second guess what it takes.
Practice every step.
Practice every step.
Every journey taken,
Must be thought of as a race...
And,
Practice every step.
Practice every step.
There's no other way to straighten out a crooked road,
So...
Practice every step.
Practice every step.
No matter what you're told,
There will be some doubts and woes...
But you,
Practice every step.
Yes you,
Practice every step.
Woes you hold will eventually go,
So...
Practice every step.
Practice every step.
Practice every step.
Practice every step.

We have initiated programs for re-entry offenders, since some 500,000 to 600,000 offenders will come out of prison each year for the next three or four years. We want to have positive alternatives when they come back to the community.

To practice black magic you have to violate every principle of science, decency, and intelligence. You must be obsessed with an insane idea of the importance of the petty object of your wretched and selfish desires. I have been accused of being a "black magician." No more foolish statement was ever made about me. I despise the thing to such an extent that I can hardly believe in the existence of people so debased and idiotic as to practice it.

Live, By God, Live!
perhaps i've said what i wanted to say poorly...
the crux of the matter is this:
we are where we are because
we've put ourselves here,
we've allowed this to happen to us!
we blame the government,
we blame people who are 'different',
we blame the economy,
we blame god,
we blame each other.
bottom line, we are to blame.
we cannot evolve as human beings
without evolving as a society.
we cannot evolve as people,
without evolving as a nation.
we cannot evolve as citizens,
without evolving as citizens of the world.
we've stood by, and done nothing.
we have run from the truth,
we have betrayed ourselves!
we've existed in tiny cells,
denying our responsibilities.
this has to stop!
we are out of time.
we are surrounded by suffering,
and our indifference is the cause.
stand up! shout! demand dignity!
and Live, by god, Live!

Inferiority
An inferior relic of the past has just emerged,
Harmony has just slipped past, full artifacts are near.
To restate the sentence he displayed is normal,
But inferiority has a notion so abnormal.
Perplex the normal men and women of the wilderness
We see in their eyes, and see in the shoulders.
Blades currently ride on horses forced by the stewards,
And knives are from the land of blood and gore.
Horror is a notion too intricate, a masterful notion
Too sweet for the naked eyes but terrible for the ears.
A relic is crafted from the eyes of the man who is woman,
And women are men now, for the relics are inferior.

Meant to Be Included
Values and standards!
Are they goals to maintain.
A way of life,
Kept sustained to remain.
Or are they ideals out of reach.
Wth a hope that one day,
A practice accepted...
Will not be preached.
Values and standards!
When created,
What was the intention.
To reflect mindsets,
In public display of pretentions.
Or were diversed cultures,
Meant to be included in this 'plan'.
Since no worthy growth has been detected.
And fellowship and goodwill seems to have been arrested.

This Is What It Chooses To Do
This World swirling...
Is ever evolving.
Spinning to release itself,
From the past.
And producing fresh new standards,
For those of us witnessing...
As passengers.
Much like a flea,
That rides for free...
The flesh of an animal.
And scratches,
To satisfy an annoying itch!
Believing what you hold onto in your hands,
Is for you to keep...
Disappears and returns to dust.
This Earth has a mindset that sustains.
And the 'us' that 'it' is...
Does not seek 'your' trust.
Nor does it tolerate the itching of your conflicts.
It will seek to get rid of it.
And do its best to provide your observations,
With warnings.
However...
It doesn't have to do this.
This is what it chooses to do!
Regardless of the 'who' you think you are.

Sonnet- The World Is Still Uncivilized
Jumps a woman, in her husband’s pyre!
People called it the practice of ‘sati’;
When women are doused alive, set afire
What is the stage of today’s society?
In orgies and arson, the world today,
Takes away the lives of more innocents;
And emotions high, leads to violence;
So treacherous life seems each day, some way.
And men are killed in cold-blood in daylight;
This world does not seem civilized as yet;
Where is our liberty and human rights?
Man behaves worse than animals, I bet.
Can we remove these evils in some way?
Lord, show us in future, a better day
