Lord of the Rings was just so much enjoyment. It was over about the space of a year that I was filming. It's one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done, so emotional.

New Year 2008
As the old year fades
And the New Year comes,
Most hearts and minds
Emotional become.
But thank we must
The Almighty,
For all the good things
That had happened.
Let’s efface the thoughts
Of woes, grief and strife;
Let’s hope the New Year
Will fill in those gaps
With joys and ecstasies.
Let’s all resolve
To lead better lives
As the New Year arrives,
And thank the Lord.
Let’s be soul-wise;
Let’s give up vice;
Let’s heed advice
From people nice.
As New Year unfolds,
Let’s pray to God
To bestow cheer,
All through the New Year.

As The Year
As the year draws to a close, and comes slowly to an end,
There's been ups and downs, and hurts on the mend;
Sometimes things got me frustrated, till I felt round the bend,
But through it all, I've coped, I have my Saviour whom I can depend.
As the year comes to the day, that we say goodbye,
To the bad times, where we had an upset, we had a good cry;
Then things happened, when things went really swell,
But whatever way things went, thanks is what, to the Lord, I tell.
As the year comes to the point of memories of the past,
With family and friends, of friendships that did last;
Then there were fights, and quarrels that happened too,
But with Christ in each life, changes happen to make it anew.
As the year will close and another year will begin,
There'll be promises made, we'll do the right thing;
Hoping everything will start to go Once more so right,
May the Lord bless each family and protect them day and night.

Maybe by his second year in Hogwarts, Harry Potter will learn the trick to making a movie this good, but don't bet on it. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is one of the best films of the year.

Happy Birthday Daughter
To our beloved daughter
Jessica Nicole
That we love and adore
We would like to say a few words
To celebrate this special day
You are another year older
Even a year smarter
And maybe a bit wiser
What year you have had
You have grown
Into a wonderful woman
Became a mother
With a beautiful daughter
Which has given us such a thrill
Today is your special day
Which we pray will be filled
With great peace and joy
A day full of great things
Things that bring you
Great happiness and enjoyment
Maybe even things
That makes you laugh, dance, and sing
Or maybe just a bit more complete
For on this special occasion
We would like to say
You are another year older
We love you
We wish you the best
And very special
Happy,
Happy Birthday
Our darling daughter dear

Lord of the Rings is a good thing for us because it opened the door for the genre in general. Le Guin's stories are very different from Lord of the Rings.

There was a strange atmosphere on the set because we were filming in this large house, which was used for troubled children. You'd go in and find walls had been burnt down. The building was charged with this history and it stayed with us throughout the filming.

Nobody got Punk'd and he was still in his season for that show when we were filming. So the kids were very aware that it was filming and that was his show and they were very much on the lookout for that.

When we began filming, these people had legs, but as we were filming, they had been injured and they were brought to the hospital to have their legs amputated, and that's where we found them and asked them to come and be part of the film.

Skull Ring
(feat. The Stooges)
Skull rings
Fast cars
Hot chicks
Money
Skull rings
Fast cars
Hot chicks
Fancy things
The touch of a hand in the wasteland
you're walking asleep and dreaming cheap
A bird's wing don't beat for free
You're freezing cold and your family
Skull rings
Fast cars
Hot chicks
Money
Skull rings
Fast cars
Hot chicks
Fancy things
Fingers on fire to do what's bad
Ring on the finger is a skull man
Strong as a bar of steel
Weakness is that you can't feel
Skull rings
Fast cars
Hot chicks
Money
Skull rings
Fast cars
Hot chicks
Fancy things
My life is dirtied, my mind is loaded
I'm feeling and breathing and fighting
To see
People get ready now
Baby come on give your heart to me
Skull rings
Fast cars
Hot chicks
Money
Skull rings
Fast cars
Hot chicks
Fancy things

Cordova
words and music by amy ray
The volunteers come for your prayers
and some souvenirs,
With ivory skin and boycott lessons
Year after year.
Well I'm tracing your face up in the space of the bottom bunk,
Oh Cordova.
Where I cried and I cried,
I knew I was trading on things that I didn't have,
The things that I didn't have.
Now you come to me
With revolution's infidelity,
With blacklisted friends and tupperware kin,
And your big history.
Well I'm tracing your face up in the space of the bottom bunk,
Oh Cordova.
Where I cried and I cried,
I knew I was trading on things that I didn't have,
The things that I didn't have.
I memorize the lullabies
of dwindling lives.
The lay of the land, the touch of each hand
We lose by and by.
I'm tracing your face up in the space of the bottom bunk,
Oh Cordova.
Where I cried and I cried,
I knew I was trading on things that I didn't have,
The things that I didn't have.

A Poem Of A New Year
Oh! Its another year already. How time flies. We sleep and wake before we know it, its already 365 days.Well we thank the Lord for keeping our body and soul to see yet another year. I thought of this, what joy would i have derived from life if those dear to my heart had gone with the previous year and i said to myself 'God forbid 'Without a person like you, life would have been so meaningless and i said to the good Lord 'Thank you ' for sparing the life of my friends. Most of all you. Have a splendid year. Happy New Year!

Hopefully Yours
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Satan and sins, Thy desire
Gave us fear
This time last year
In nocturnal December
Tsunami butted us on to despair
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Evil and suffer, Thy desire
Gave us deluge to expire
Again in nocturnal November
This grave year
An unforgettable misery somber
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Thou glee shall flee
Perishing with us souls eerie
Pounce on here to see
The unseen destinstion under an estuary-canopy
A seething change herein are we
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Thrusted by the torrential rain
With tyrannic might the quaffed whole main
Mounted numbers of fallen lives down slain
Unhappy sign
Thy Mercy shall stop the chain
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Sooner rings the New Year
Pictures of gone history poor
Be it pictures mere
Shan't be hung any more
Shan't be born any more
And Thy Mercy, will commend gaiety?
Hopefully Yours...

All I could think of was we were about to start filming for the last final weeks of the TV show and here I am in the hospital, so I missed the final weeks, and a couple days later, sore stomach and all I got on the horse we started filming.

Went to a party just last night
Wanted to bring the year in right
Woke up this morning I don't know how
Last night I was a happy man, but the way I feel right now

Nothing matters and everything hurts
They were passin' round the bottle, made me feel brand new
Trouble with the new man he wants a hit too, hit me

I got to perk up a little FUNKY NEW YEAR
My hair hurts FUNKY NEW YEAR

Emotional Highway
Heard youre up to no good
Doin everything I never would
Shakes me up
Brings me down
Puts my world six feet underground
Well I need to know whats going on
Before I lose my mind
If I catch you with her I dont know what Ill do
When I get home what will I find
Whoa emotional highway
Driving all night and day through the pouring rain
Ive heard a rumor now
Ive got to find out for myself
If my babys giving his heart to someone else
Well my minds playing tricks
To think of you and her just makes me sick
Every mile that I go
I keep praying I dont lose control
Well the road is long and conditions are bad
And all I think about is you
I dont have time to wait in line
Move over mister
Ive gotta get through
Whoa emotional highway
Driving all night and day through the pouring rain
Ive heard a rumor now
Ive got to find out for myself
If my babys getting it on with someone else
Emotional highway
Emotional highway
Emotional highway, emotional, emotional, emotional
Baby baby I know that were two of a kind
Thats why Ive got suspicion on my mind
Whoa emotional highway
Driving all night and day through the pouring rain
Ive heard a rumor now
Ive got to find out for myself
If my babys me up for someone else
Emotional highway
Emotional highway
Emotional highway, emotional, emotional, emotional
Got to get back, get back to my baby
Emotional highway
Emotional highway
Emotional highway, emotional, emotional, emotional
Got to get back, get back to my baby

The Unhappy Ending
Tears subsiding
Michael lifts
A gun up to his head
Sorry for the part he played
And many many dead
As he pulls the trigger,
And he feels the hammer fall
His mind goes back a year ago
And he remembers us all
And how we loved him
Oh (lead me on)
Lord lead me on
Oh (lead me on)
Lord lead me on
She said she'd been with other men
But that was long ago
Long before she fell in love with him
He ought to know
He could not believe her
He told her to her face
And took on with another girl
Put maggie in disgrace
Oh (lead me on)
Lord lead me on
Oh (lead me on)
Lord lead me on
But when they found they found her dying
He realized what he done
She died because he blamed her
For things she'd never done
A loud explosion rocks the air
And things go cry in shame
As the gun hurls out the shell
It crashes through his brain
Oh (lead me on)
Lord lead me on
Oh (lead me on)
Lord lead me on

One Year
What's in a year?
We watch it disappear.
Its days go by.
They seem to fly
into the ethers of the past.
A year too swiftly
does not last.
And yet each day within the year
contains within it
every single minute
where your life is resolute
and filled with purpose.
A year is not just calandar days
to be scratched off one by one.
When you do this it's then you find
you miss out on its fun.
In a year one can learn
to appreciate the time you have
to be among the living,
the time you have for giving.
In a year you learn about power
that allows you to fill each hour
with everything you love.
What's in a year?
All things new that can appear,
things you've never given thought to,
things in life you want to do.
Before the year has gone away
see before you each new day
and as the year meets its end
be one who can say
'This year has been my friend.
It gave me solace, gave me peace
and it gave me the chance to release
Pain.
