Peace

When lion and lamb have together lain down
Spectators cry out, all in chorus;
'The lamb doesn't shrink nor the lion frown
A miracle's working before us!'

But 't is patent why Hot-head his wrath holds in,
And Faint-heart her terror and loathing;
For the one's but an ass in a lion's skin,
The other a wolf in sheep's clothing.

As far as a nuclear weapons-free zone, you know, when the lion lies down with the lamb, and you don't need a new lamb every day to satisfy the lion, then we might have this kind of transformation in the Middle East.

The Englishman

He is an Englishman!
For he himself has said it,
And it's greatly to his credit,
That he is an Englishman!
For he might have been a Roosian,
A French, or Turk, or Proosian,
Or perhaps Itali-an!
But in spite of all temptations,
To belong to other nations,
He remains an Englishman!
Hurrah!
For the true-born Englishman!

Wooly Lamb, Wooly Lamb

Wooly Lamb, Wooly Lamb, frisking along;
Wooly Lamb, Wooly Lamb, bleating a song;
Wooly Lamb, Wooly Lamb, wearing fur-coat,
Wooly Lamb, Wooly Lamb, looking so bright!

Wooly Lamb, Wooly Lamb, eating green grass,
Wooly Lamb, Wooly Lamb, let me first pass,
Wooly Lamb, Wooly Lamb, grazing so nice,
Wooly Lamb, Wooly Lamb, what a surprise!

Today... 'The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah

There in heaven John shed great tears and sighed.
But then, 'Weep not' one of the elders cried.
'The secrets of the scroll can be unveiled'
'for the Lion of Judah has prevailed.'

Before them stood a Lamb so clear and plain
pierced and looking as though it had been slain.
Then the Lamb took the scroll as angels sang
and throughout heaven this great chorus rang.

'Worthy is the Lamb' all the heavens cried
'Worthy is the Lamb' all the earth replied,
'For He was slain for us and shed His blood
and purchased the people on earth for God.'

The Lion became a Lamb to pay the price
and saved the world by His great sacrifice.
When He hung there upon that wooden cross
and gave up His life to redeem the lost.

So weep no more and shed no more tears
Join in the song through the eternal years.
'Worthy is the Lamb' enthroned in Glory
for Christ Jesus has won the victory.

The Lion and the Lamb

I saw a Tiger's golden flank,
I saw what food he ate,
By a desert spring he drank;
The Tiger's name was Hate.

Then I saw a placid Lamb
Lying fast asleep;
Like a river from its dam
Flashed the Tiger's leap.

I saw a lion tawny-red,
Terrible and brave;
The Tiger's leap overhead
Broke like a wave.

In sand below or sun above
He faded like a flame.
The Lamb said, "I am Love;
Lion, tell your name."

The Lion's voice thundering
Shook his vaulted breast,
"I am Love. By this spring,
Brother, let us rest."

An Englishman In New York

Englishman in New York
I don't take coffee I take tea my dear
I like my toast done on one side
And you can hear it in my accent when I talk
I'm an Englishman in New York
See me walking down Fifth Avenue
A walking cane here at my side
I take it everywhere I walk
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
If, "Manners maketh man" as someone said
Then he's the hero of the day
It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile
Be yourself no matter what they say
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
Modesty, propriety can lead to notoriety
You could end up as the only one
Gentleness, sobriety are rare in this society
At night a candle's brighter than the sun
Takes more than combat gear to make a man
Takes more than a license for a gun
Confront your enemies, avoid them when you can
A gentleman will walk but never run
If, "Manners maketh man" as someone said
Then he's the hero of the day
It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile
Be yourself no matter what they say
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York
I'm an alien I'm a legal alien
I'm an Englishman in New York

Every animal and the lion and the lamb

For the parrot in its cage
the open spaces,
of the jungle remain
and unfolds in its mind.

Though if it escapes
here in the city
it would fly aimlessly,
among the buildings
and not know
where to find food and shelter.

At the zoo lions are camped in
and are placed together,
and fed by human beings.

Away is the field
and game that graze
and and a pan,
or river to get water from.

For the lamb there’s a camp
to graze in
and feed from a human
and to remain
a farmers’ property.

Every animal and the lion and the lamb
and all of us wait
for the child,
that leads animals to freedom
and for the world
to get righteousness.

[Reference=> 'The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them' (Isaiah 11: 6) .]

Bias

even when the lion
smiles at us
we still withhold
confidence
even if the lion is
sincere
and does not think of
evil
like eating all of us
as prey
we always think of
the worst
even if it is just a picture
of the lion
smiling at us
we still suspect
that this can be a trap
another deception

a lion is a lion is a lion
and will always be lion
no matter what

as simple as that
ask the wind

He Now Reigns

From a bloody cross to a Throne, He now reigns above for His own,
Now reigning above in majesty, The Lamb who died for you and me,
He now reigns above to intercede, on our behalf, for our every need,
He Reigns above as King of kings, and Lord above all earthly things.

This Throne was not new for Him, The Lamb who came to be our sin,
Who emptied himself of Majesty, born that He would die on Calvary,
God’s Eternal Son, Jesus Christ, coming to earth to be His Sacrifice,
And a body was prepared for Him, for as Eternal God He had no sin.

Equality to God, not considered, by The Lamb, who died unhindered,
By the darkened wickedness of man, as He submitted to God’s Plan,
The Sinless Lamb died in our place, opening to all, this Age of Grace,
Capping God’s Plan of Salvation, and offered to every earthly nation.

Now risen, with the Power to save, through His Victory over the grave,
For death had no hold on The Lamb, with Christ being The Great I AM,
Christ, the Eternal Lord and Creator, is now for many Lord and Savior,
If they embrace, God’s Sacrifice, who paid for all God’s Eternal Price.

Now seated at God’s Right Hand, the Savior and Judge of every land.
Who will return to this earthly sod, not a lamb but a Lion with Iron Rod,
The Lamb of God, once crucified, is The Lion of Judah, now Glorified,
As Lord and King, of all the world, as His Earthly Kingdom is unfurled.

Christina Georgina Rossetti

Bird Or Beast?

Did any bird come flying
After Adam and Eve,
When the door was shut against them
And they sat down to grieve?

I think not Eve's peacock
Splendid to see,
And I think not Adam's eagle;
But a dove may be.

Did any beast come pushing
Through the thorny hedge
Into the thorny thistly world,
Out from Eden's edge?

I think not a lion,
Though his strength is such;
But an innocent loving lamb
May have done as much.

If the dove preached from her bough
and the lamb from his sod,
The lamb and dove
Were preachers sent from God.

Dead Lion

Lion died
And dead lion
Came to me crying
Dead lion wanted to know
so many thing about life.

I am not here
To told about
Lion's history
Or geography of the area
Where lion was.

Dead lion
I found within
My house my country
Lion was enchanted
on the scene here
Even after death
That much I knew.
