A great thing happening now in art is that artists are using the figure, the body, clothing, life.

The Best Thing
(corky laing)
You try to love the way that you did before
But he dont be that loved anymore and im
Im coming from the pouring rain
My eyes are red but they still see through
The feeling thats coming over you
And Id love to come again (come again)
I wanna love you over again
You, you wanna know
Youre the best thing thats happening to me
In a long long time
Be wise, open up your eyes
You, you wanna know
Youre the best thing thats happening to me
n I wanna love again.
I try (I try) to put your body right out of my mind
But you keep on coming on and on
I thought it was just for last night
A passing fancy, a bird in flight
But you keep on coming on
So I wanna come again
I wanna love you over again
(I wanna love you over again)
I love to love you over again
You, you, you wanna know
Youre the best thing thats happening to me
In a long long time
Be wise, I wanna love again
Come on love again
Come on love again
You, you wanna know
Come on love again
I wanna come again
You, you wanna know
Youre the best thing thats happening to me
You, you wanna know
Youre the best thing thats happening to me
You, you wanna know
Youre the best thing thats happening to me

The Right Thing
Let others probe the mystery if they can.
Time-harried prisoners of Shall and Will-
The right thing happens to the happy man.
The bird flies out, the bird flies back again;
The hill becomes the valley, and is still;
Let others delve that mystery if they can.
God bless the roots!-Body and soul are one!
The small become the great, the great the small;
The right thing happens to the happy man.
Child of the dark, he can out leap the sun,
His being single, and that being all:
The right thing happens to the happy man.
Or he sits still, a solid figure when
The self-destructive shake the common wall;
Takes to himself what mystery he can,
And, praising change as the slow night comes on,
Wills what he would, surrendering his will
Till mystery is no more: No more he can.
The right thing happens to the happy man.

Somethings Happening
(by jerry lynn williams)
Somethings happening, somethings going on.
Somethings happening, something so strong.
Somethings happening, something all over the world.
Spirits moving and its moving fast.
You better get aboard and dont be last.
Somethings happening, something all over the world.
My life has been a series of endless changes,
A constant struggle to be free.
One thing I know for sure now baby,
Its me for you and you for me.

There is no telling what is going to happen in the music business in the next few years, hours, minutes, seconds. Giving artists the chance to produce and distribute their own material is great, very empowering. The technological changes that are happening so rapidly now, amongst all the opinions, are in truth, only two things, inevitable and unstoppable.

Food, Clothing, Money, Shelter, and...
Food, clothing, money and shelter
I have them all
Why is this heaviness in life
Why is it to be hauled?
Food, clothing, money and shelter
are all requirements of my body
While pursuing all these material necessities
I forgot to feed my soul.
An engine needs fuel to be propelled
Soul needs a goal
Without goal the life is empty
Goal makes the life whole.
No goal means no life
Worry and fear cloud the soul
To live life to the fullest
I need to have something in the morning
to wake up for.

Sketch Book
If I may,
allow thee,
stand
lay
find
your
pose.
Will sketch thee in thy book.
Charcoal
grainy
dark
smudges blending,
image
take
form.
Disrobe
do not,
remove thy cloth
woven
cotton
cover
disguise
thy body shape
curves
contours
angles.
Distraction.
Already have sketch in hand,
conjured forth,
time
and
time
again.
Thy body shape,
lies beneath,
across they clothing drape?
Still life.
Artists interpretation.
Thy beauty.
Recline,
arm at side
other over head
finger poised
chin angled toward thee
eyes at slight glance,
legs
lounging
relaxed
ankles crossed.
Nude.
Exposed.
Yes,
of course.
Anywhere you would like,
when
your
ready.
Will sketch thee in thy book.

pathos of culture artistic expression

shape shifters people creators

passionate in artistic creation expression
enrichers of web strand seekers beholders
artists hung upon vision quests
artists hung upon life beat heart beats
artists hung upon eyes burning in soul flame

But some great records are are being made with today's technology and there are still great artists among us. Likewise there are artists today who are so reliant on modern technology, they wouldn't have emerged when recording was more organic.

Body To Body
Body, body, bo-bo-bo-body, body
Body to body
Body to body
Body to body
Nobody does it like you do
Body to body
I love the way you make me feel
When you do what youre doing to me, oh
Touching me the way you do, you know, know youve got to feel it too
When you bodys next to mine, youve got me hypnotized
Body to body
Body to body
You know I like the way you do what you do when you do it to me, oh
Body to body
Nobody does it like you do
Body to body
You know I like what you do when you do what you do to me, no
Oh, what you do
Flowing through this magic night
I love to feel you hold me tight
You are the one thats right for me
You got me feeling tingaly
Share the night with stars above
I think Ive found this thing called love
Fever running through your eyes
You are my heavenly device
Body to body
Body to body
Body to body nobody does it like you do
Body to body
You know I like what you do when you do what you do to me, no
Oh, what you do
You opened up the world to me
You changed my life so tenderly
I know you are the only one
Youre brighter than the burning sun
Dont know where youre going to
I dont care as long as Im with you
That certain sparkle in your eyes
Has got me feeling oh so high
Body to body
Body to body
Body to body
Body to body
I like what you do when you do all those things to me
Body to body....

Born Again
Born again when you die-
free from your body that's no lie.
You actually leave your body
when you sleep,
you're consciousness leaves when you dream.
You enter another realm,
a place in another helm.
So if you pay attention to your night flights,
you can transform your life.
There are symbols, there are clues
that help figure out a thing or two.
So when you dream—your life is on
the other side—
the other side that we go when
we die.

Hope (Pleiades)
Hope is at times just unseen,
having no fixed structure,
helping people to go on,
has the effect of some trust
happening as a great thing,
helplessness it does conquer
halfway into great success.

I say, life and figure are distinct attributes of one substance, and as one and the same body may be transmuted into all kinds of figures; and as the perfecter figure comprehends that which is more imperfect; so one and the same body may be transmuted from one degree of life to another more perfect, which always comprehends in it the inferior.… the case is the same in diverse degrees of life, which have indeed a beginning, but no end; so that the creature is always capable a farther and perfecter degree of life, ad infinitum, and yet can never attain to be equal with God; for he is still infinitely more perfect than a creature, in its highest elevation or perfection, even as a globe is the most perfect of all other figures, unto which none can approach.

Nothings Happening By The Sea
Salty river
Falls asleep in the bay
Always gets there
Never early, never late
Nothings happening
Nothings happening by the sea
White waves tumble down
And gently roll back into blue
On wooden seats outside the bar
The couples make their rendezvous
Nothings happening
Nothings happening by the sea
The trouble has been found
Theres too far ups and too many downs
I found a level that feels just right
Theres no mistaking where Im going tonight
Nothings happening
Nothings happening by the sea

There were some extremely good teachers there that were great artists really in their own right. It was actually very hard to concentrate on getting down to going any work being an art student especially when it's a flighty thing at best.

In Or Out
My life was okay
It was not perfect
But it was okay
Then I met you
Ever since with you
My life as been a roller coaster
You have my emotiuons spinning out of control
You bring me up so high
Then next thing I know you knock me down so low
I want to think that all you could do is bring me up
But ytou couldnt
And because of that I fell
You knocked me down so low
It is hard for me to pick myself up
I know I have done the same too you
I know I have
I regret every second that passes.
Now that we are... Well I dont know what we are
But we need to figure this out
Im not okay
I am not great
I do not know if we should call it quits
And never talk or see eachother again
Because I do not know what hurts more
Not having you in my life or having you in my life

Whats Really Happening
Grown inside a plastic box
Micro thoughts and safety locks
Hearts become outdated clocks
Ticking in your mind
Now its time to close our eyes
Now its time to say goodbye
Now its time to face the lie
That wed never cry
Whats really happening, what tore us apart
Whats really happening
Whats really happening, what tore us apart
Whats really happening
All the clouds are made of glass
And theyre slowly sinking
Falling like the shattered past
Were we built to last?
Whats really happening, what tore us apart
Whats really happening
Whats really happening, what tore us apart
Whats really happening
Now its time to close our eyes
Now its time to say goodbye
Now its time to face the lie
That wed never cry
Whats really happening, what tore us apart
Whats really happening
