Not every truth is the better for showing its face undisguised; and often silence is the wisest thing for a man to heed.

The Truth
Nothing but the truth
I stand by the truth
The truth is my portion
And my salvation
So do not believe in illusion
Face reality and act positively
For how you feel
Is different from what is going on
Blaspheming and evil
Is the act of ignorant of the truth
But surely there is a reward
For goodness and evil
No matter the circumstances
The truth will prevail
Although the truthful path
Is difficult to tread
But take heed and lead
For the truth is the light
That guides our way
They reflect on what we say
So they say
We are the truth

In Loving Truth
you hold the truth
and show it to me as early as i was six,
you had it molded like a sculpture of
a well shaped egg,
a chicken egg, showing the fragility of a shell,
that when i fail to hold it with care
it breaks and cannot be
the same again, no matter what
or how,
the truth is a model
something that we have to imitate
but my palms have lines of each own
and i was born as a scorpion
with scissors in my hands
you want me to be your truth
and it will be painful and so i must go
somewhere where my kind of
truth will be respectable
there is no place yet for me
and so here i am with you
exploring all the possibilities of harmony
and so i must lie to live with you
and be with you for the meantime that my
castle is not yet a reality
must i tell you the truth? i can't
for this spells the death of harmony
even the view of your funeral
where i can be the pretentious grief
the laughter subsumed
on the face shedding
crocodile tears
i have more to tell you
but i am safe now in my silence
safe with you and the world and the stars.

It Aint No Big Thing
It ain't no big thing
A & n merrit/hall
You're losing interest in me, and it's showing.
It ain't not big thing but it's growing.
The pain of heartbreak i've just starting knowing.
It ain't not big thing but it's growing.
Everyday the hurt grows bigger than before.
But i'll pretend that i don't notice,
If i can hold you one day more.
You got the look of someone who is going.
You're gonna leave me and it's showing.
A little tear i can feel, start to flowing.
It ain't not big thing but it's growing.
You got the look of someone who is going.
You're gonna leave me and it's showing.
A little tear i can feel, start to flowing.
It ain't not big thing but it's growing.
It ain't not big thing but it's growing.

To Face The Truth
(tennant/lowe)
--------------------
You know it hurts me when you lie
Sometimes it even makes me cry
cause Im so in love with you
If you dont believe what I have said
Take a look, my eyes are red
cause Im so in love with you
But all those sleepless nights in bed
When youve been out somewhere instead
I wonder if you care and cannot bear the proof
It hurts too much to face the truth
To face the truth
A lawyer with a case to prove
Would sift the evidence, then move
Its the only thing to do
So why then cant I face the facts?
Sift this evidence that backs
I am so in love with you
But all the nights when you have said
You must be somewhere else instead
I wonder where you go, but darent expose the proof
It hurts too much to face the truth
To face the truth
To face the truth
You are the only one, the only one
You know it hurts me when you lie
Sometimes it even makes me cry
cause Im so in love with you
If you dont believe what I have said
Take a look, my eyes are red
cause Im so in love with you
But all the nights you dont show up
I know its time I should grow up
I ask you if you care, you stand and stare aloof
It hurts too much to face the truth
To face the truth
To face the truth

Silence the lie!
Silence, I say Silence
Stop the pretence
Halt the building of that fence
Between you and the truth
The truth can be rather intense
But wouldn’t you rather the truth
Than a lie be your preference
Why feed on
A lie so long?
Why shelter
A lie so strong?
When there is a fight
The only one flung
Will be you
Silence the lie
Before I cry
Silence the lie
Before I die
Because of someone up high
Like you and I
That ignores my cries

Truth Is.....
Truth is that when you left me,
I finally was happy.
Truth is that the day you showed me the truth,
I knew everything you have ever said was a lie.
Truth is that when I cried after we broke up,
I was crying tears of joy.
Truth is that the scares on my wrists and sheans,
I did because you caused me to be in pure darkness
Truth is that our first kiss,
I never felt the spark.
Truth is that what you wanted,
you never revised.
Truth is that when it came to the break up of you and me,
that was the day I felt like a queen.
Truth is that I still want to thank you,
for showing me the truth about you.
Truth is that you gave me a man,
who loves me for who I am.
Truth is that the day you left me,
I became alive.
Truth is that you never broke me,
you just gave me something greater fight for.
Truth is you lead me to him,
and how he's the one for me.
Truth is that I'm happy as can be,
all because you're the one who lose me.

He Tells You He's A Player
Five days before my birthday I was sad as can be
I almost walked out the door
but I left something in the bathroom-
that's when I did see -something that didn't belong to me.
It belonged to another girl-it was a black bra—
I thought to myself -he doesn't care at all.
Thank God I didn't tell him it was my birthday week
I'm glad I kept it to myself and turned the other cheek.
He was too busy showing off and playing his own games
well I don't have time for stupid games I have to say.
When someone tells you that
"He is a Player"
You better take heed-
face reality and let your conscious take the lead.
Tread more carefully or End it right there—
this person is showing you they are truly not sincere.

Secrete Beauty
She was not blessed with comely grace,
spurned and shunned by cupids arrows
because of her displeasing face
and breasts like kneecaps on a sparrow.
Her scrawny frame one could infer
if dressed in red and eyed sideways
she'd mimic a thermometer;
no outward grace to be displayed.
Her real beauty was deep inside
hidden behind two large, brown eyes
where a beautiful soul resides
eternally and undisguised.
Beauty is a skin-deep grace
it's just a temporary thing:
a short-term asset on a face
that fades away like this years spring.

Glass Walls
Glass walls
Of the candy jar
Showing me the colors
Showing me the shapes
Just showing me...
Glass walls
Of the shopping mall
Showing me the colors
Showing me the shapes
Just showing me..
Glass walls
Of the computer screens
Showing me the colors
Showing me the smiles
Showing me the love
Even telling me... and nudging me...
It is only the glass... I can touch...!

The Truth, The Whole Truth, Nuthin' But The Truth
(ian hunter)
Lonely days lonely nights
Hoping thing's gonna turn out right
You had me hanging on a string
For you i did most anything
You don't give me no
The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth
Its a blind mans eye baby ain't no youth
The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth
Don't need your lies i got my proof
Put your face up to my window
Ask me baby what did i see
Well i know i know you ain't right
I know you ain't right for me
You don't give me no
The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth
Gods little baby's got nothing to shoot
The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth
Get your kicks on a different route
All i want is the truth
All i want is the truth
All i want is
The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth
Blind mans eye baby ain't no use
The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth
Don't need your lies i got nothing to prove
The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth
Gods little baby's got nothing to shoot
The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth

Early Works - Take Heed
Take heed ole wayfaring stranger
take heed to disaster cometh,
the stars are blind to morals,
as morals are blind to life.
Take heed ole saintly fool
take heed in your wooden ship,
the sea has crushed many a man
as many a man has crushed life.
Take heed, take heed
hear what I say
there goes no tomorrow
only borrowed today.

Silence Part III
Silence is the only thing I hear
Silence is what I fear
Silence tells me that nothing remains
Silence tells ne that its the end of your game
As silence fills the air
I begin to wish he was there
I wish I didn't let him walk out that door
And I hate that there's nothing I can do anymore
To make him mine again
I love him more than anything but I didn't know it then
And now silence is all that's left
Silence because of an unnecessary bereft
The silence rings in my ears
Because I let go of what I should have kept near
The tears pour out of my eyes
As I lay there in silence - but that's no surprise
Blessings To Heed
What a Blessed thing indeed, to hear God’s Word and to heed,
Many Awesome Truths of God, wherever you do presently trod,
The Truth of God that sets you free, is available to you and me,
And The Holy Spirit I received, when His Saving Truth I believed.
God’s Truths will guide us then, when we indeed are Born Again,
As we heed The Word spoken of, we’re Born Again from above,
Given on earth, a brand-new life, through The Lord, Jesus Christ,
New Life, that includes Eternity, provided for us through Calvary.
Then as we walk in God’s Truth, we become God’s Living Proof,
That God indeed changes men, when in Christ we’re Born Again,
Allowing us live beyond this world, as God’s Truths are unfurled,
His Truths about eternal things, when True Light His Spirit brings.
Blessings begin coming our way, as we walk with Him every day,
Blessings that will truly flow, when in The Word we begin to grow,
When hiding His Word in our heart, God’s peace shall not depart,
Even when uncertainty appears, the Word of God calms all fears.
Earthly comfort’s fleeting friend, but, God’s blessings never end,
Promises in God’s Word you’ll see, will carry well on into Eternity,
As you heed the words of Christ, and let God’s Word fill your life,
God will fill you with His Love, preparing you for blessings above.

Sex is a fool’s paradise
By showing her cleavage and tilting her hip
The actress reaps in millions.
By selling her flesh and losing her name
A whore earns in hundreds.
The wisest is the actress.
The idiots are the mass

Mystery Lady
A secret now revealed,
Mystery Lady, her face unveiled.
Standing in the dark shadow,
Lovely lilac eye shadow,
A pair of luminous blue eyes,
Is now truly undisguised.

Sonnet XXV: The Wisest Scholar
The wisest scholar of the wight most wise
By Phoebus' doom, with sugar'd sentence says,
That Virtue, if it once met with our eyes,
Strange flames of love it in our souls would raise;
But for that man with pain his truth descries,
Whiles he each thing in sense's balance weighs,
And so nor will, nor can behold those skies
Which inward sun to heroic mind displays,
Virtue of late with virtuous care to stir
Love of herself, took Stella's shape, that she
To mortal eyes might sweetly shine in her.
It is most true, for since I her did see,
Virtue's great beauty in that face I prove,
And find th'effect, for I do burn in love.

Silence
I got a feeling
Everything's gonna be alright
And I still find my way
And I heard
It's always darkest before the storm
So come on let it rain
Everything was different when I was seventeen
The world was so much brighter
Now I finally found the truth
Of what they hid for me
That world was so much kinder
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Is what it is
By my own choice
I believe
That we were meant to learn from our mistakes
And stumble along the way
Now I know
That people are gonna grap what they can take
Then just turn away
Everybody's searching
But no one really knows the truth
The world is upside down
What it's all about right now
Will soon turn to gray
Their promises have faded
Silence
Silence
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Is what it is
By my own choice
All my little merry friends
Have turned their backs on me
Excuse me if I'm jaded
I'm so tired of people telling me
How it should be
Their promises have faded
Silence
Silence
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Don't hear a sound
But my own voice
Silence
Is what it is
By my own choice
Silence
