I think illness is a family journey, no matter what the outcome. Everybody has to be allowed to process it and mourn and deal with it in their own way.

Better Than Expected

I am feeling better than expected, on a journey I haven’t selected,
An unexpected journey in this life, that could bring pain and strife,
Not fully aware what it’s all about; I may even struggle with doubt,
Concerning The Lord’s faithful love, or God’s Power, from above.

I could question His power to heal, a sudden illness that is so real,
Or even question the reason why, this befell on to my family and I;
And for them what may lie ahead, regarding an illness many dread,
But this He allowed to happen to me, for He’s The God of Eternity.

Friend, this isn’t just another story, but, a real life, for God’s Glory,
Another chapter in my life, of the sustaining Grace of Jesus Christ,
More pages on God’s Grace to me, as we journey towards eternity,
While all I need, He will afford, through Jesus, my Savior and Lord.

In days ahead, my Lord will sustain, me through any trials and pain,
And Christ shall uphold all my family, in ways that we’ve yet to see;
What I will feel like, I don’t know, but God will help me when I’m low,
To trust in The Rock of Ages, as in this chapter, He turns the pages.

Whatever happens, I know for sure, I will be with Christ forevermore,
And my Lord shall forsake me not, whatever may be my present lot.
For every lot, cast within my life, is through the Will of Jesus Christ,
Who grants me an abiding peace, which from God, will never cease.

If You Knew The Outcome Of Your Journey

If you knew the outcome of your journey,
What would you do...
If you knew?

What would you do...
If you knew,
The outcome of your journey?

Scheduled dates to procrastinate.
In a sitting done to wait for an excuse to make.

Or would you not waste a second of your time...
If you knew what putting off today,
Will do to your peace of mind!

To Finally Accept The Process

As much as I hesitated,
And debated with myself...
To finally accept the process,
I 'allowed' myself to age.
Yes!

I 'allowed' myself to do this in stages.
Since I did not want to become overwhelmed,
By an event I was not sure I wanted to attend.
Although others I viewed seemed surprised by it too...
With a protesting shown and much unhappiness.

However, unlike them...
I decided I would not get too comfortable,
With any stage that came to end.
Some chose a stage with a wish to stay.
And fighting with themselves along the way.

I even witnessed others,
Doing their best to prevent maturity.
None physically succeeded,
But mentally...
Many could easily claim a success.

As much as I hesitated,
And debated with myself...
To finally accept the process,
I 'allowed' myself to age.
Yes!

And as each day passes,
I feel more and more blessed.
I no longer feel I should 'allow' this process.
Since I now do it without thinking about it,
With an acceptance felt for me that is best.

Agenda's of the journey

Agenda's of the Journey

Dust dominates the horizon,
Seldom to the season have I withered under the morning star?
The bridge of hope stands firm today,
My chest fills with air!

The path cracks, gash, wounded over time,
If I was to have know the outcome,
I would prefer to journey the bottom of the sea,
Yet,

She inflames the currents,
Thrusting back waves on a raft,
Against the ocean, against the outcome, under the morning star,
She causes my face to invade with a smile

We Let the Illness In

At first, we both make contact
With mucus membranes,
And we let the illness in.

The fevers we may contract
Fester in our brains,
And we let the illness in.

We won't know how to react
While writhing in pain,
And we let the illness in.

Yet, such is the fate we pick,
Choosing to be sick,
And we let the illness in.

Too Often Egos Win

Misunderstandings opens the door,
To comprehension.
If allowed.
And it may come with some pain.
However...
The prospects of a process of healing,
Begins some kind of a mending done.

Truth...
If kept in prolonged denial,
Can hurt.
The unacceptance of it...
Can devastate and create undo agony.
If allowed.
Some mindsets forbid this!
Unwilling to forgive and forget.

To bridge the gap between misunderstanding,
Comprehension and accepting truth...
Reduces conflict on many levels.
If allowed.

But tremendous egos,
Can kill any relationship.
No matter what the subject is!
And too often,
Egos win!
To misunderstand...
Again and again!
To understand what it is they wish,
From a limited perspective...
That seeks stubbornly to be understood.

Way Of Life

Birth is to Death
Like East is to West
Pain is to Love
Like Greed is to Wealth

A family mourn
A child is born
The child is taught
This child cannot be Bought

The child grows
His words flow
His eyes wander
As his mind ponders

The teen grows
His legacy grows
His career escalates
His family evacuates

The Man grows
The family, frighten
The noose tightens
A family mourn

Never Mourn At My Funeral

Never mourn at my funeral
Because i'm not dead but sleeping
And relaxing on Abraham's bossom
Never mourn at my funeral
You that come in view to mourning
But within you, you're here to mock
Because my poetry has once expose your secret-deeds
Throw my body where you please
Or let it be dismembered
Never mourn at my funeral
You the insect that bites my daffodils
And you who want my fish to swim on a dry earth
Throw me on a stormy sea
Where Jonah fell
But its a glorious shame
I can never sight the river bank of Joppa
Never mourn at my funeral
You that come in my maker's name
Just to bless my end
Go thy way and search for lust souls
Wear them a garment pure as snow
Before they lie low with me
And journey hell eternal
Never mourn at my funeral
But mourn for we're debtors of death

Prior To Whatever The Outcome

Who knows if those decisions we make,
Will achieve and please...
An expected result?
With a certainty known that is already felt.

The ones who take chances,
Eventually learned...
Something about deciding,
Upon which way to turn.

It is easy to reflect upon those experiences,
One gets.
And express whether or not,
A relief to them came with no grieving met.

But those who hesitate in a waiting done...
Are always heard to state they know what will occur,
Prior to whatever the outcome that is shunned...
Comes to ease or wreck havoc on their nerves.

Prior to whatever the outcome,
A shunning...
Prior to whatever the outcome,
Is done!

Prior to whatever the outcome,
A shunning...
Prior to whatever the outcome,
Is done!

Good Family

When you see a man behaving well
People are curious to know his family
When a naughty interacts
His source is easily identified
Good family is a big attractive tree
That offers shade in rain and heat
Good family bears good branches
That produces good fruits
Good family has its firm roots
Which nourishes and beautifies
Good family gives birth to good nations
In peace, good family is there
In war, good family endures
Good family wipes away tears and sorrows
Loneliness is absent with good family
Security is guaranteed with nice family
He who has a good family
Is half done in life
See a man dancing on the street
No need to ask if his family is okay
If you have a good family
Sacrificially hold on to it
Never allowed it to crack
Pass the baton to others
To enable the world get better.

My Family

My family will forever be in my heart,
My sister's mean the world to me,
More than life,
All I ever wanted was a complete family,
To have a mother whom I never met,
My family will always remain who they are in my heart and soul,
My family is more important than my friends and my lover,
Family will always come first,
Family is family,
No matter what they did they'll always remain family.

Some Are So Creative

When some folks begin...
To make excuses.
It is a process for them,
That never ends.
They keep making excuses,
To use and abuse their family and friends.
In an addicting process...
Predictable!
Eventually identified as lies.
And applied over and over again.

Some are so creative,
As to make people believe...
Those who can see through this,
Are wrong not to comprehend...
An obvious illness,
Hidden within!
And why excuses for them exist.
Going on in their minds,
Without the slightest resistance...
Time after time.

And then comes the campaign...
To discredit and bad mouth others.
Either stating someone believes,
They have opinions that are not concrete.
When anyone who has ever made contact with them...
Notices too late,
They too have been wrapped up in a waste of time...
Helping the excuse maker to defend!
Only to find themselves in public disagreements.
And having the innocent eyes of a pathological liar...
Gaining sympathy from those,
Who had not been over time exposed!

Solitude Of Loss

Behold thy sister - on a journey so long
behold she leaves to return no more
behold thy sister - thy only companion
remember your times for there'll never be more

wipe your tears 'cos leave she must
no matter the wail she ne'er return
begin to mourn - for your sister is dead
oh this lad shall wail but the deed is done

silence and seethe have crept in to stay
oh the emptiness of loss and sorrow to bear
to carry the load all - all alone
and pigments of grief his face to smear

his life alone - a thing to learn
his morn of mourn shall be of darkness
the pain of loss shall be his own
and his nights shall be of torment and coldness

oh! the grieving psyche of him
death has failed to complete his work
the spiritual bond is not severed
his life to mourn forever locked

What Matters To Me

what matters to me
definitely is not the family

for i do not have any, and i
like to think that what should have mattered to me
is a good education

but i have it anyway and all those years
that good education has not really turned me
into a perfect person

and so i think of something else that must matter
could be money but it has turned me into a slave
could be honor, but it amassed in me more arrogance
could be class and rank and societal functions, but they are but
parts of my day to day existence

and then i go into other matters that most people think really matter:
God, divine light,
prostrate, bending and begging,
humility, prayer

and i tried all these things, inside and outside, the holy grounds,
my sandals left outside the door,
kissing the soil, and raising my arms all for the embrace of God,

nothing happens, i am still in the chains of my flesh, in the sinning
of every hour, in the darkness of my soul,
in the middle of my sorrow,

and i think some more, and more and more,
what matters most is that i must only be patient and i must wait

things are here, things are there, whatever is here, whatever is there
and they are always unfolding, revealing and always telling

what matters most of all, at the end, is always the beginning
watching the days go by,
vigilant when they come and go

and as they once said, what matters most is the journey
just the journey
just this journey
just my own journey

to where? who knows?
what matters most is the question not really the answer
to where? and why? who knows?

Family I love

love my family with my hold heart.
My love is Joy to love my family
Family is sad and happy and love.
Family is fun and painful and pretty.
My family is like all families we have
love and we have happiness and tears
I love my hold family
My family is like angels who fly in sky
I am grateful that I have family that loves
me.
My family are kind and nice and fun to be
around
My family is painful like all familys are and
heart breaking and Evil sometimes
My family is heart breaking and deadly like
everyone else
Hey I can't stop loving my family not matter what
it coats in the family.
Way my family is just makes me want have family
with someone be as good as they are.
But God know I love my family
and our love is great to have in life
and even know they leave he world they still
a live in my hearts.

Why Christians Love God = 2012

Christians gather to express their love for God
As they sing songs of His greatness and pray.
They listen to teachers explain the Bible
And why its stories still relate today.

They take communion to rejoice and remember
Jesus who died and shall rise once more.
They reflect on God and all His blessings
As they stay committed to transform from before.

The Bible is the inspired word of God
That teaches forgiveness of sin and unjust behavior.
All shall remain apart from God and His grace
Till they repent, confess and trust their Savor.

NONE ARE PERFECT

None of us are perfect and know everything
We must love God with all our heart, soul and mind.
We must love our neighbor as we love our self
And to the less fortunate remain generous and kind.

Every impression requires an expression
As we share God's will for our life.
We must express our need, servitude and love
'For God', to strangers, friends, family and wife.

As followers of Christ we serve the world
Staying committed to disciple the lost.
Our Lord loves all who preach His praise
Broadcasting their passion regardless of cost.

SPIRITUAL MATURITY

Spiritual maturity is a lifelong process
It begins the day we are born.
Church and family work together to teach loving Jesus
Whose loss we both rejoice and mourn.

Preaching Jesus to change the outcome of lives
Should be something we do each day.
Spiritual maturity means you and I grow
As we seek Divine answers as we pray.

Love your Lord God with all your heart and soul
Write His Name on your doorway and gate.
Let the world see how much you trust in Him
Without hesitation, uncertainty or debate.

GOD NEVER CHANGES

One of the greatest blessings in life over all
Is that God never changes, He is always the same.
No matter our feelings of unworthiness and doubt
God loves us despite our falsehoods and shame.

The Fact that God loves us is undeniable
There are reasons that sinners are allowed to live.
Every moment of our life He is always aware
Of what we commit, desire, share and forgive.

When we focus on God's love and Devine Word
Instead of emotions selfish, shallow and wrong.
Our sense of self-worth becomes God's Bible
As we rejoice are reverence by prayer and song.

Jesus teaches about love, honor, trust, faith and reality
And the image He paints spotlights the purpose of our story.
As Christians, God calls us to live, study and submit
To His rulebook of wisdom, repentance, compliance and glory.

Can You Deal With It?

(words and music: duran duran)
There must be somebody
Wholl make love to me.
Blow the rules away
And trash these yesterdays.
Live in simpathy
Use psychology.
To find the twist in me (ah-ha)
Can you deal with it?
Recent enquiry
Showed now boundry.
Loves the only way
Can you handle it?
Can you deal with it? (oowa)
Can you deal with it?
Can you deal with it? (oowa)
Can you deal with it?
Can you deal with it?
When you aint sorry? (can you deal with it? )
For all that you appologise (can you deal with it? )
Working up to something,
I know youre up to something...
Yeahhhh...
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to happen)
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to get me up)
Say you deal with it? (but nothing never happens)
Can you deal with it? (cos nothings ever good enough)
Say you deal with it?
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to happen)
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to get me up)
Say you deal with it? (but nothings gonna happen)
Can you deal with it? (cos nothings ever good enough)
Say you deal with it?

Up And Disappeared

There has been a lot of listening missed,
That did not reach either your left...
Or right ear.
And I know there has been many attempts...
To reach you.
But you...
Refused to pay attention.
Since what was said you did not want to hear!

Time is very much a factor in this.
Because it is with time allowed,
Comprehension needs that thought process...
To make 'anything' for one to become clear.
But the only thing your stubborn held fits,
Has not understood...'and' 'that' you've dismissed.
Any understanding those few were willing to give,
Has up and disappeared with no regret shown for it!

Time is very much a factor in this.
Because it is with time allowed,
Comprehension needs that thought process...
To make 'anything' for one to become clear.

Friends Of The Family

Generations and bloodlines come together
They're present in each other
They illuminate within you and me

We'll have a journey ahead of us
But along the way we'll receive help
From our friends of the family

The world's diseased enough
The waters have become rough
The crops have failed

With our friends of the family
Let's begin our journey
