By laughing at me, the audience really laughs at themselves, and realizing they have done this gives them sort of a spiritual second wind for going back into the battles of life.

In the steps of Rumi 87: A Windy Day
Isn’t it a windy day?
The wind gets everywhere,
loves especially to have fun,
enjoys rattling loose doors as if it would come in,
to become a quiet household pet,
or just disappear up the chimney
to meet itself again…
loves corners especially,
piles its toys up in them;
loves robes, veils, laughs, exposing
forbidden body parts;
sweeps the streets clean of plastic bags
then just for fun, blows them around again;
loves especially, laundry on the line –
fills out men’s shirts into dancing fat men;
would wind like to laugh at man?
then from fun play, can get serious –
tests whether that corrugated iron roof
to your makeshift shed is really secure..
later, you may be glad it did...
then from serious to boisterous:
takes on the sea itself, which
likes a bit of fun, but then
gets angry when provoked too much…
then when it’s gone, it’s gone
back to wherever wind comes from…
before it goes, let’s wrap up, take
a laughing walk and tussle with it;
come back, cheeks glowing,
eyes sparkling, laughing,
light-hearted… what did we meet out there?
some say, that wind is really fire,
which stirs our blood like that;
that fire brings life; that life brings spirit;
that spirit is but love; and love,
the breath of gods, of God;
the wind blows where it will.

Imperfectly
I'm okay
if you get me at a good angle
and you're okay
in the sort of light
and we don't look
like pages from a magazine
but that's all right
that's all right
I crashed your pickup truck
and then I had to drive it back home
I was crying
I was so scared
of what you would do
of what you would say
but you just started laughing
so I started laughing along

For me, the great joy is to watch an audience watching what I've made. To hear not a peep from the audience at the right moment, and then to hear the laughs and the cheers.

The Laughter Therapy
(I)
Every morning the ritual is the same, -
I say my prayers and take His name;
As I settle down to read the papers, –
About our politician’s famous ‘blame game’!
It is then I always hear, loud peals of laughter
from our adjacent park,
A man dedicated to laughter therapy,
With his loud guffaw and reverberating bark!
Trying to resolve this laughing mystery, -
I read several articles about Laughter Therapy!
(II)
Amongst all created things and living beings,
Man alone suffers deeply in his body, mind,
and soul;
With peals of laughter he must suppress his tears,
To balance this life and control!
Yet during those rare and supreme happy moments
of life, -
Tears are seen to well-up in our eyes!
Laughter gets mingled with our tears, -
I wonder why? !
Perhaps laughter and tears are two sides,
Of the same coin of our worldly life!
While our lacrymal glands perform this feat, -
As laughter and tears join hands to make this
life complete!
(III)
While hearty, non-ridiculing and connecting
laughter does provide,
Physiological, psychological and spiritual
benefits - on hindsight!
Laughter brings a twinkle in our eyes, destroying
our conservative reputation;
Improving our cardiovascular flexibility, increasing
our spiritual quotient!
Laughter like internal jogging, gives us an internal
massaging;
Performed both silently and rapidly beyond imagining!
Revitalizing those unexplored internal crannies –
all automatic!
Far better than all our know antibiotics!
Laughter a tranquilizer without side effects,
Releases our pent-up tension relaxing us instead!
(IV)
An optimist always laughs to forget, while a pessimist
forgets to laugh,
My man in the park is perhaps an optimist,
Who has embraced this therapy as an art!
Or perhaps that man laughs daily at the frailties of a
meaningless life,
In this life of absurdities as he adapts himself to
survive!
This laughter therapy is a tranquilizer both healthy
and free,
Perhaps that man in the park is laughing at both you
and me!
Our life becomes a tragedy for those who only feel!
But a comedy of laughter, if you pause a while to think!
So let us try to make others laugh while we try to
control our tears,
Laughing is a healing process and drives away our
fears!
Let us make a New Year’s resolution, making laughter
our altruistic mission;
Coupled with a loving and caring heart all true, -
Let this laughter as a therapy - benefit both me and
you!

Forgiveness (Realization)
forgiveness is the energy
of realization...
realizing, the person you're
mad at or hurt by is just an
extension of yourself, another
part of you. realizing, the act
they've committed against you
is just a human act, whether
done on purpose, or without
thinking... realizing, that you
commit similar acts in your day
to day existence...
realizing, not forgiving, holding
on to the anger and pain, only
hurts you yourself! it becomes a
form of prison, self-imposed...
realizing, the mistake is not the
person!
forgiveness, the realization of
freedom in relationships!

Lost Inside
It’s another night
Stuck in a place that we love
Sitting there with
The bright lights
Shining down blocking out
My chance for sleep
Everyone is thinking of everything
They could be doing instead
All i hear is laughing out loud
I think if im not here
I would be doing homework
Which was my only true
Lie
Coming from it all
Id rather be at a place
With no more yelling
I look ahead realizing
That this is for me
Then why do i keep
Disregarding it all
As a punishment
When it only is a place that helps me
Friends are talking laughter all around
And as chuckle to myself i could
Be doing homework one
Of the only true lies
Brought forth thinking back to the beginning
Realizing im here losing my brain
For an unlawful act of terror
Flowing excitement
Through the blood
Seeing it all
Fall away
With the
Vision slurring
And time
Disappearing altogether
Losing my life
To this excitement
As it blurs away
Taking more in just
To lose it anyway
Feeling nothing at all
Laughing at my numbness
It feels so good as i giggle
To myself thinking
All this time i could
Have been were
Im supposed to now
Staring at a grave of someone i never
Knew
Not even
Comprehending
In my brain
Im so lost in this vision
I’ve never seen
Seeing my hand shaking
But not feeling the pain
As the blood
Rides down my face
As i look over and see
It’s only a tear
Not of sadness
But out from
The body showing how
Bad its been treated
Giving up
As i go numb
Tearing away my last thought
As i look at the kid
In the casket
My eyes focusing in a blur
Looking through the eyes of the dead as it turns
Out it’s me in the casket crying
Looking for a hand
To pick me up
For now i have
Fallen so far
But no one was there
As i watch my laughter drift in the wind
Floating away
As my friends leave
They hear my
Cry of laughter
They come and see the excitement
And with there eyes they see
Me lying so still
With my hand so numb
My eyes so blind
My face so cold
How could they have stayed?
While they pull away
As the laughter has fallen
All i hear is
A cry a whimper
Shown by a poor soul
Drifting away from reality
When i look back at what
I have done
Not understanding
Wondering were i have gone and what i have done
Not finding a place i should have gone
Now that its been thrown away
More crying
Laughter will never coming again
Crying
Realizing
Im now
Gone

I see your joy laughing eyes
wind child still
I see your warm eyes laughing

I see your eyes green healing

I see an emerald sea your eyes

18.08.2009 Creative Diversity
The miracles and wonders done by God in no way
invalidates the mandate of other nation states to
follow their own revelation of deity, Israel has right
of place amongst everybody, attempts to wipe
them off the earth lead to intervention
By universal consciousness which respects all life
Israel must fulfil its role within the colourful mosaic
of humanity, Israel respects and protects the right
to life of every other culture, showing the highest
example of integrity
In devotion to ensuring the survival of an ancient
document of immense value for human science,
quantum mechanics explains that everybody
has right of way, caretakers of ancient
documents as well as agnostics
And devoted Muslims, the only requirement is
mutual respect and acceptance, allowing total
freedom in spiritual matters, following a chosen
creed loyally without forcing beliefs on anyone,
realizing diversity in all matters spiritual
Is as creative as diversity in nature and different
human cultures, letting go of the dream to be
supreme, realizing visions of freedom and
respect instead…

I remember certain people in the audience laughing and I wanted to ask: 'What are you laughing at? This isn't funny.' Now I realize that laughter can come from insecurity. They don't know how they should be feeling.
Your Love Is The Wind
YOUR LOVE IS THE WIND
Your love
is the wind
that passes
through trees
sets them murmuring
to themselves
the secrets of my heart
or the wind
in wheat
undulating across
fields
a golden sea
as if alive
moved
(moving me)
your love
the wind
that takes
my heart
tosses it
in the air
& laughs
laughs
as it scampers
here & there
at your
slightest whim
until
like a leaf
it lies
settled
quiet & still
becalmed
on your palm
overcome
with tenderness.

Words Dont Come Easy
(jennings)
Standing in the shadow
Of a spanish lady
Second hand bargain
With a song so sad
And a rose in her hand
Was crying
Lonely rooms in back of bars
Bright lights and sitting out in the stars
There was room to write a poem
But the words dont come easy
Theyre hung on frozen lips standing there
While the worlds anticipating love
And the words dont come easy
Lady laughs a laughing tear and says
All we really need today
Is the sun in our life
The sun in our life
Money was only mean to buy time
No money left over
Made the street to show that the door was open
Out in the silence of the angry crowd
Only the beggars crying aloud
Not a precious thing was spoken
But the words dont come easy
Theyre hung on frozen lips standing there
While the worlds anticipating love
And the words dont come easy
Lady laughs a laughing tear and says
All we really need today
Is the sun in our life
The sun in our life

But I couldn't cut that whole septic tank scene out because the audience liked it so much. So I sort of fell right back into getting a cheap laugh, but I still loved it.
It's a little like casting out hundreds of fishing lines into the audience. You start getting little bites, then more, then you hook a few, then more. Then you can start reeling them in and that's a loveliest feeling - the whole audience laughing with you.
Coming Back
Hes coming back
Hes coming back for me and you
3x
Its the low down, the showdown, brothers ready to throw down
No need for us to go down, the truth is what we know now
That we have we have life through my lord, christ jesus
No one can love you more than to do the things that he did
So give him your pass so that he can start to mold ya
Full fledged, dedicated, hardcore, christian soldier
Spiritual war, its a spiritual bout
And were the first ones in p.o.d. and were the last ones out
Hes coming back
Hes coming back for me and you

Not the Girl I Used to Be
Tall, skinny, with a shy smile
And standin’ on the sidelines
That’s the girl I used to be
But I’m inching closer to the middle of the game
Laughing with wild friends
And dancing at parties…
I’m wilder, freer
I finally have a name
I’m the girl who laughs
The girl who listens
The carefree girl but not too loud
The laughing girl with the spring in her step
Not the girl I used to be
So now I want to be one of “Them”,
Not somewhere where I won’t be found…
I think “Them” will save me,
“Them” will hear me out
But “You” are better! Tell me that, assure me
So I don’t turn to “Them”…because
I’m wilder, freer
I finally have a name
I’m the girl who laughs
The girl who listens
The carefree girl but not too loud
The laughing girl with the spring in her step
Not the girl I used to be
We Battle To See Acts Of Love
You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.
You can fill you mind with terrorists...
That keep your fears endearing.
But the fact your battles fought have no love.
And don't you know that you...
The giving up of anything,
Will return.
So why not battle with the act of love.
Burdens carried on one's back,
Seem to be attached...
'Cause they don't do their,
Battles with love.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
If there is love,
There is a battle...
But the battle can be won,
With a love that's felt in everyone.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.
You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
If we pick our battles,
We must be matter of fact....
That we battle to see acts of love.
We battle to see acts of love.
Let's say we do it...
That we battle to see acts of love!

Blood of the world, mother of mine
Gonna see you rise higher in time
Blood of the world, mother of mine
Gonna see you rise higher in time
Blood of the world, mother of mine
Gonna see you rise higher in time
Blood of the world, mother of mine
Open your eyes and let em shine !
Everybodys born to do a certain thing
And if youre dead jammy you find it.
And if youre good at it just keep doing it
Until youre fed up then do something else.
Youre here to make babies and look after the place.

Organized Christianity has always represented immortality as a sort of common heritage; but I never could see why spiritual life should not be conditioned on the same terms as all life, i. e., correspondence with environment.

If I get a hard audience they are not going to get away until they laugh. Those seven laughs a minute - I've got to have them.
Laughing
I'm laughing at your funny face
I'm laughing at this funny place
I'm laughing in my space
I'm laughing at a fast pace
I'm laughing and cannot stop
I'm laughing feeling the bop
I'm laughing at your top
I'm laughing with a cop
My stomach hurts
My cheeks are sore
Yet I want to laugh some more
Just want to laugh day and night
Want to laugh 'cause it feels alright
I'm laughing with Pat
I'm laughing at the cat
I'm laughing at the mat
I'm laughing as the cat sat
