You know, that's kind of the thing, I can't freestyle and I used to always wonder why I couldn't, and when I would try once out of every six months, but I was always a great writer!

Paperback Writer
(LennonMcCartney)
Paperback writer
Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book?
It took me years to write, will you take a look?
It's based on a novel by a man named Lear
And I need a job, so I want to be a paperback writer
Paperback writer
It's the dirty story of a dirty man
And his clinging wife doesn't understand
His son is working for the Daily Mail
It's a steady job but he wants to be a paperback writer
Paperback writer
Paperback writer
It's a thousand pages, give or take a few
I'll be writing more in a week or two
I can make it longer if you like the style
I can change it round and I want to be a paperback writer
Paperback writer
If you really like it you can have the rights
It could make a million for you overnight
If you must return it, you can send it here
But I need a break and I want to be a paperback writer
Paperback writer
Paperback writer
Paperback writer, paperback writer
Paperback writer, paperback writer
Paperback writer, paperback writer
Paperback writer, paperback writer (fade out)

You cannot teach creativity -- how to become a good writer. But you can help a young writer discover within himself what kind of writer he would like to be.

I Wouldnt Normally Do This Kind Of Thing
Ask me why
Ill say its most unusual
How can I even try to explain
Why today, I feel like dancing
Singing like lovers sing
When I wouldnt normally do this kind of thing
I wouldnt normally do this kind of thing
Ask me when
Ill say it started when I met you
And ever since then
I knew that the past wouldnt last
For right now I think Im running
A race I know Im gonna win
And I wouldnt normally do this kind of thing
I wouldnt normally do this kind of thing
If people say Im crazy
I tell 'em that it's true
I let them watch with amazement
Say it wont last beyond breakfast
Its just a phase hes going through
Denigrate or speculate
On what Im going through
Because it isnt the sort of thing Id normally do
Ask me what
Ill say I think its good for you
Believe it or not
I know where its all leading to
I feel like taking all my clothes off
And dancing to the rite of spring
And I wouldnt normally do this kind of thing
I wouldnt normally do this kind of thing
I wouldnt normally do this kind of
This kind of thing

So Pure
You from New York you are so relevant
You reduce me to cosmic tears
Luminous more so than most anyone
Unapologetically alive knot in my stomach
And lump in my throat
I love you when you dance when you freestyle in trance
So pure such an expression
Suppossed former infatuation junkie
I sink three pointers and you wax poetically
I love you when you dance when you freestyle in trance
So pure such an expression
Let's grease the wheel over tea
Let's discuss things in confidence
Let's be outspoken let's be ridiculous
Let's solve the world's problmes
I love you when you dance when you freestyle in trance
So pure such an expression

My Kind Of Man
Writer Dolly Parton
Copyright 1973
If I'm not your kind of woman being just the way I am
Then I know you're really not my kind of man
I don't believe you have the right to ask me to be different
Either take me like I am or let me be
If you really love me I mean really love all of me
You wouldn't want to change one part of me
If you can't be satisfied with me the way I am
If I can't make you happy find someone who can
If I'm not your kind of woman being just the way I am
Then I know you're really not my kind of man
I couldn't make you happy if I let you change me
For I know you wouldn't love me that a way
I can only be myself but if you want something else
Then I can see no reason I should stay
If you can't be satisfied...
If I'm not your kind of woman...

Pilgrimage
Am I a pilgrim or a wayfarer
in this sanctum or a sanatorium?
Dear mom I was a prisoner for nine months
in your safe waterlogged womb.
But still I cannot swim in the deep seas.
The thorny crown and the cross too heavy for me.
I am only a puppet in the marionette
and somebody draws me here and there.
I am almost tired,
please let it be a freehand
and a freestyle race
without any restrictions.

All These Things
Sometimes I don’t feel who I am.
I don’t feel like what I write
because I don’t want to be pigeonholed
for just one thing I do.
I think myself as a whole
and not just one object.
I call myself a writer,
not a poet,
not a novelist,
neither a songwriter
nor a short story writer be.
I am a writer
because all those things
emulate from within me.

Freestyler
Say we a just freestyle it
Because we wicked and wild it
Because we know how fe run it
And we just can't done it
And you know say we like it
And we have to excite it
If you come a dance
I say you might get frightin'
Because you know say we live it
And you say we love it
There is very few things I coulda really put above it
I love the booming of the base in a the speaker boxes
The treble in the tweeters it just
A tear off me hat see
I said you just can't trap it
I said you just can't unwrap it
Say you justs can't take it
Say you know you have to find it
Deep down in a your soul I say you have to feel it
Little after that you a go want to reveal it
Coz music is a thing I say you
Know you have to share it
If me couldn't do that
Me just couldn't bear it
Cos the love for the music on me
Sleeve me have fe wear it
Deep down in a me heart I said you
Just couldn't tear it
Me no like them journalist man
Dem come from different land
Say we is a white reggae band
Open your eyes no man you must
Be blind no man
You gwan like your cool man
Your heart must be black no man
Full of bad intention
We is dub organiser
A little oder and wiser
We no like wife beater spreading
Love would be sweeter
Out of many nations yes we are one
Just like the motto if you is Jamiacon
Deep in a the night the musics calling
Deep in a we hearts you know we're
falling in love
It's like a religious calling
Calling calling you better send out
A warning
Calling calling you better send out
A warning

And the whole Oscar thing, that is just surreal: you spend months and months doing promotion, and then come back to reality with this golden thing in your hands. You put it in the office and then you just have to look at it sitting on the shelf. And, after about two weeks, you go: 'What is that doing there?'

Writer- a must?
Out of what does a writer write?
Out of hatred or perversion;
Out of denial or deprivation.
Why does a writer write?
To vent his anger or hatred.
To cry out from pain or lust.
How does a writer write?
By borrowing or distorting.
By modeling or duping.
For what does a writer write?
For an applause and a place.
It alone suits him, an idler.
What is the use of a writer?
For him to flaunt his skill.
For readers to idle away
Does the society need a writer?
Does a woman need cosmetics?
Writer is a part of civilization

A Writer's Dream
A writer's dream
You keep trying
Never denying to one day achieve
Despite what most believe
A writer's dream
You never give up
Regardless of what others may say
But wait patiently until that day
A writer's dream
Although it's been a while
It made you smile
To see your dream coming through
No matter how long it seemed to you
A writer's dream
You always believed in yourself
That's why your time has come
To be a successful writer
With the privilege of making much income
A writer's dream
You're happy to finally get this far
The world knows just who you are
Now this new sudden fame
Makes you feel like a star

I Am More A Poet
I AM MORE A POET THAN ANY OTHER KIND OF WRITER
I am more a poet than any other kind of writer-
But I am not a pure poet -
And not the best of what a poet could be-
I 'think' in my poetry
And it tells me what I dream and feel-
It is my soul-
God made me a poet
Perhaps not a good one as I would have liked to be-
It is so wonderful to be able to write these lines now
After long long hours of difficult silence.

I go through major crises every few months, but then I have great peaks of belief and creativity. I'm a weird kind of animal.
He invented this idea of telling the life story of a great writer through becoming his characters and becoming him. It was such a pleasure and I thought we must find another writer.
