Moderation is the feebleness and sloth of the soul, whereas ambition is the warmth and activity of it.

The escapes

Fight is an escape from fear.
Art is an escape from deprivation.
Love is an escape from perversion.
Ambition is an escape from sloth.
Goodness is an escape from depravity.
Life is an escape from death.
Every escape gives you relief

My Bonfire

After this I gather a wooden stick collection,
Burning the sticks of wooden nature.
A fire has rudely devoured the flesh of my world,
The later periods have contrived a short pause.
Please do not desist this activity, when you gather wood,
For my father has been the future, living like warmth
And this fire is within the layers to bind it,
The soul is mighty with grief, the soul has cancer
Of the brain, as for this world.
The fire has risen into the sky, like it is a bonfire
For all to see and imagine, for my father loved the sky
At night when the wooden sticks were burnt
To remind him of the variety of afterlife.

On this subject I do not which to think, or speak, or write, with moderation. No No Tell a man whose house is on fire to give a moderate alarm tell him to moderately rescue his wife from the hands of the ravisher tell the mother to gradually extricate her babe from the fire into which it has fallen but urge me not to use moderation in a cause like the present. I am in earnest I will not equivocate I will not retreat a single inch and I will be heard.

Open Wound

So cold
why so cold
where is the warmth
why did it leave

I feel it
its on the outside
running down my body
running away

How can I be so cold
if I'm surrounded by warmth
even as it covers my body
I feel so cold

It's so dark
first the warmth
now the light
why me

I can’t move
help me
save me
heal me

Be my angel
be my wings
be my warmth
be my light

Be my soul

The Warmth Of The Sun

What good is the dawn
That grows into day
The sunset at night
Or living this way
For I have the warmth of the sun
(warmth of the sun)
Within me at night
(within me at night)
The love of my life
She left me one day
I cried when she said
I dont feel the same way
Still I have the warmth of the sun
(warmth of the sun)
Within me tonight
(within me tonight)
Ill dreams of her arms
And though theyre not real
Just like shes still there
The way that I feel
I loved like the warmth of the sun
(warmth of the sun)
It wont ever die
(it wont ever die)

Good Ambition

Ive spent eleven months and five days loving you
And all these times Ive spent forgiving you
I dont want to be hurt
I dont want to be hurt
I dont want to be hurt
Not any more
Im a man with a good ambition
And I will never let you drag me down
You better go home and leave me alone
Im a man with a good ambition
And I will never let you drag me down
So baby go home
And leave me alone
Ive got a good, good, good ambition
Tell you its a good, good, good ambition
Ive got a good, good, good ambition
Tell you its a good, good, good ambition
Ive got a good, good, good ambition
Tell you its a good, good, good ambition

Ode to Indolence

Ah! why for ever on the wing
Persists my wearied soul to roam?
Why, ever cheated, strives to bring
Or pleasure or contentment home?

Thus the poor bird, that draws his name
From Paradise's honour'd groves,
Careless fatigues his little frame,
Nor finds the resting-place he loves.

Lo! on the rural mossy bed
My limbs with careless ease reclined;
Ah, gentle Sloth! indulgent spread
The same soft bandage o'er my mind.

For why should lingering thought invade,
Yet every worldly prospect cloy?
Lend me, soft Sloth! thy friendly aid,
And give me peace, debarr'd of joy.

Lov'st thou yon calm and silent flood,
That never ebbs, that never flows;
Protected by the circling wood
From each tempestuous wind that blows?

An altar on its bank shall rise,
Where oft thy votary shall be found;
What time pale Autumn lulls the skies,
And sickening verdure fades around.

Ye busy Race! ye factious Train!
That haunt ambition's guilty shrine;
No more perplex the world in vain,
But offer here your vows with mine.

And thou, puissant Queen! be kind:
If e'er I shared thy balmy power,
If e'er I sway'd my active mind
To weave for thee the rural bower;

Dissolve in sleep each anxious care;
Each unavailing sigh remove;
And only let me wake to share
The sweets of friendship and of love.
