...Then anyone who leaves behind him a written manual, and likewise anyone who receives it, in the belief that such writing will be clear and certain, must be exceedingly simple-minded...

The Poem I Am Writing Now
The poem I am writing now
does not know if it will be finished
it does not even know if it will be a poem -
it is slowly appearing line by line
and making its own meaning on the page-
Is it worth anything?
will anyone care?
I don't know -
The poem I am writing now
is just these lines
and these lines like all lines
are only small words
in a vast universe
that has long lived
and will probably longer live
without them.
Why then write these words now?
The poem I am writing now is saying,
'I am here now'.
But why should this mean anything to anyone else?
The poem I have written here
is not the poem I would have posted here
It is only the poem I am finishing now
a poem without great love or belief in itself.
The poem I am writing now
is written.

The Poem I Did Not Write Today
THE POEM I DID NOT WRITE TODAY
The poem I did not write today
Will never be written.
No one knows what it is
Or where it is
'How it can be? ' is another question
No one can answer.
The poem I did not write today
Never went away
It is always here with me and with you
It is the same simple poem
Written over and over again
In our everyday minds.
It is the poem of love of life
The poem of happiness
The poem of belief in God
And in the goodness in the world to come
It is the poem which believes too that poetry will help save the world.
It is the good poem
The happy poem
The poem I did not write today
Is the poem my life is writing now and always
And with you it says
‘What a miracle it is that we are here
reading and writing
and loving life as we do’.

I Am Tired Of Simple One- Dimensional Poems
I AM TIRED OF THE SIMPLE ONE- DIMENSIONAL POEMS
I am tired of the simple one- dimensional poems-
I want my irony back
And my contradictions and ambiguities-
I want the beauty back of a phrase which says more by itself
Than I initially intended it to have-
I want a way of writing which is a way of multiplying meanings
Not making them seem so simple singular and clear-
I want my Poetry back
But I fear I have lost it,
And it will in no way come back by itself soon.

Jesus Christ is our supreme commander, but He operates only through His word, which is unquestionably a training manual. However, He has many interpreters, and few people see the Bible as a true training manual.

Never Written
to write
hungry to write
and over
a lifetime
to have written
so little
less than
two years
writing
if compressed
into full time
writing
to have said
to have written
so little
when thought
so much
deep thoughts
never written
never recorded
never achieved
never expressed
never articulated
never illuminating
what a waste
modern sibyl
only whispered
briefly
self paid time
a fireflies flight

0377 Should be, but
I should be writing a poem
about those small wisps of white cloud
moving unusually fast across a blue blue sky
on their way to somewhere else
as if they're late for an appointment.
I should be writing a poem
about the way the breeze is so gentle
that it seems to have a secret plan with the sun
and the new green leaves
to do something quite extraordinary.
I should be writing a poem
about the way that the trailing geranium leaves
are giving out a scent more white than green
more heavenly than any thought.
I should be writing a poem
about the way that the purple and blue and yellow and white flowers
seem to say nothing but beauty.
I should be writing a poem
but all I can do is gaze in amazement
at what I've seen before
and never seen before.

Writing In The Air
Why he is writing in the air
Why he is writing in the air
He writes but no billetdoux
There are limitless sanctions no fair
The love is all as it is not fair
The fickle-minded prima facie lost its pair
Life is not like husky flute player

To My Wife on Our Anniversary
A simple little poem written for my wife on our anniversary
A simple little poem to say I Love you more and more each passing day.
A simple little poem written with paper and pen
A simple little poem to say I love you forever and ever Amen
A belief which leaves no place for doubt is not a belief; it is a superstition.

The Progress In The City
life was so simple
then: papa plowed the field
mama cooked sweet potatoes
water was inside a bamboo pole
plates were banana leaves
we rode on carabao backs
picnicked on nearby rivers
climbed coconut trees
no one minded us
whether we were right or wrong
we were happier then
then everything changed.

0978..... Belief Vs Trust
Belief is Doubtful, Trust is Certain
Belief is from Mind, Trust is from Heart
Belief is Lip Service; Trust is Heart Felt
Believe many; Trust only a Few
Believing is Easy, Trusting is Hard
Belief scores 50%, Trust scores 100%
Belief is Ordinary; Trust is Extra-ordinary
Belief is Start point; Trust is End Point
Belief is Limited; Trust is infinite
Belief is Shaking Hands, Trust is Embracing
Belief keeps Control; Trust gives up control
Belief is jumping opportunities; Trust is staying
Belief is not Time Tested; Trust passes Tough Times
Belief is Partial; Trust is Complete
Believe in Thoughts; Trust your Intuition
Belief in God is Attempting; Trust in God is Surrender
Belief is Important; Trust is Essential
Belief is Plastic Rose; Trust is Real Rose

The Way You Want Things To Be
you want the sea to have waves
and you say that they are more true that way
or the leaves to have the wind beside it
or the skies to have clouds
how i wish however to have crystal clear seas
leaves so still as though they only have the sun as companion
clear skies
undisturbed blue
do you think that there is something wrong with all these?
i know you will leave me with a blunt answer
but let me tell you
crystals are virtues of the sea before it was disturbed
clear skies have always been peaceful
and leaves have always wanted the solitude without the wind

Thinking Process..
i go back to the pages
and i know i am shocking perhaps to all of you
having written much on some things that
perhaps i have not thought of so well...
but they are there and they confront me
that i own them and i feel a little bit awkward
when and how have i written these
matters of the heart
and soul and affection and
(well,) alienation and
stressful situations, not counting
the reality of depressing
expressions in the form of
concealed metaphoric devices,
at any rate, i accept this kind of ability to
just be writing for no purpose, except to express,
for simply writing what i must say
without so much thinking that in the future
i may regret what
ought not to be written...
well, this is it, this is life, and this is what is it
all about...a river simply flowing to the sea
what more? what should it be?

Had I Written Less
HAD I WRITTEN LESS
Had I written less
And had it been more perfect-
Had there been four or five poems
Worth remembering-
Even two-
Even one.-
Had I written less
Would I have known
The meaning and joy
A long life of writing has given?

Dedicação
sometimes i do not like to write
even a word
i hate it when a time like this comes
to me
like a friend i detest for betraying me
and my secrets
i go places
to forget find me some green grass
and blue skies
i embrace the silence of the
hibernating fish in mud
somehow, this dedication comes
a fealty to word
a sense of i cannot be without it
i go back again
to my room
my head so full
my mind dancing again like a crazy bee
to the petals around me
so here i am
again writing for you
these lines are lovingly written again
i could have written one simple word:
hello.
