There are three major social issues that this country is struggling with: education, poverty, and drugs. Two of them we talk about, and one of them we don't.

A Harris poll I've seen says only 12 percent of the electorate names taxes as one of the most important issues facing the nation. Voters put tax cuts dead last, behind education, Social Security, health care, Medicare and poverty.

War on poverty
War is a common solution for a lot of things,
countries go to war and so do gangs and teams
Its kind of crazy and kind of a shame,
because i always see wars on the streets fighting drugs like cocaine
Pick and choose your battles because the drugs will never stop, instead you need to control poverty and why people dont have a lot
Money, food, theres a lack of it all,
this is why they turn to drugs and manage to fall
No poverty, no drugs and thats the honest truth,
so have a war on poverty and not a war on youth

That's Life One Must Suppose
At the bottom of the social rank and low in self esteem
That's where the haves want to keep the have nots or that's how it does seem
For every new member of the millionaires club there is more poverty
And that people of malnutrition die does not make sense to me,
When many have far more than enough but not enough to satisfy their greed
For them 'twould seem that much wants more that does seem sad indeed
Though some quite wealthy people some of their profits share
Amongst the struggling have nots of the bigger World out there
The social gap keeps widening getting bigger every day
And the poor are getting poorer or so 'twould seem that way
Many hungry and homeless and low in social rank
For the poverty of millions we do have greed to thank
Some have to go for months on end without a change of clothes
And the poor keep getting poorer that's life one must suppose.

Poverty-II
Satiated, desiring but not having enough food to offer some, is also poverty,
Sheltered, wishing, but failing to accommodate a guest, is also poverty,
Treated, prescribed, but unable to effort better treatment is also poverty,
Clothed, requiring but can't afford sufficient to meet the need is also poverty,
Educating, meritorious, but failing to provide better education is also poverty,
Social, invited but avoiding a ceremony to avoid buying a gift is also poverty,
Celebration, aspiring but fearing expenses not celebrating is also poverty,
Friend in distress, desiring but incompetent to help a friend is also poverty,
oppressed, rights denied, deciding but failing to buy justice is also poverty,
Time elapsed but not repaying debts for not having money is also poverty.

(Lyric poems) Two countries In one country
Aha.You see not so you see
The answer for you peples is more
Mis-education and more mis-education
How can you mock our lack of education
And refuse to give us the skills and
The resources when you know that we live
In two countries in one country and the
Doors of education are barred to us who
Are illiterate in the less affluent part
Of society?
You are the rainsbows chuldren of God
You must be vote and be vote for us
For this thing of democrazy to flourish
Otherwise we mays confiscation your salries
Mmm? What will you does? Mi girls en boys?
You don't has the guns we has the tanks!
How can you talk down to us and threaten
To unleash the violence of the state on us?
How can you paint a picture of a happy nation
When the vast majority of us live in poverty
And squaller and the resources of the state
Is diverted to your criminal officials and
Their associate cronies? How can you peddle
The lie of democracy to us while you know that
You give us reconciliation without justice to
Douse our legitimate demand of social justice
In the flames of your dishonest rhetoric?
One can retired in peacefil blith now
Not knowing ifs there's nyequality betweens the races
Let me cough cough... cough cough...cough cough
You can sleeps unwell knowing there's
No crimenals to return nicely your properdies...

Inang Bayan (english 'Mother Country')
Oh, mother country
it's no longer
a short time
since you become
a free nation.
Oh, mother country
truly, you are free
but why
did you let yourself
be imprisoned
by poverty?
Was it your choice?
Oh, mother country
when will you be able
to take good care
of your abandoned children
who wish
for three times a day meal,
for shelter,
and for affordable medication
and education.
Oh, mother country,
Oh, mother country.

The Victims
Who are those that stand by the pillars
Of stop signs or in front of liquor stores?
Are they the forgotten heroes who were once
Served and sent to wars for this country?
Or, are they the victims of social users incense
Of illegal drugs, alcohol, or sex for money?
Who are they?
Are they the victims of our country's economy,
Who lost their jobs outsourced by their company?
Or, are they the victims of love losing their sanity
By rape, battery, or purely the victims of poverty?
Who are they?
That I can no longer pull change from my coin tray;
That I can no longer look at them with eye to eye;
That I can no longer put faith or minute of honesty;
For I was also their victim of their luscious trickery.

Illegal immigration is crisis for our country. It is an open door for drugs, criminals, and potential terrorists to enter our country. It is straining our economy, adding costs to our judicial, healthcare, and education systems.

People Of America
People of America join with me;
Co-operate and build this beautiful country
Stop using drugs and alcohol for the greater benefit of one and all.
Put yourself into something worthwhile.
Pursue your education and gain a mile, think what God want you to do.
Respect your country and its people too.

The Children Of Poverty Street
At least spare a thought for the children the children of Poverty Street
They are homeless as young teenagers and against the odds they must compete
Their parents serving time for robbery and narcotic offences and most of their role models in jail
Their circumstance of birth is a huge mark against them the poor young people destined to fail.
They steal for to buy food, drugs and alcohol on Poverty Street life is tough
Too young much too young to be homeless without shelter and sleeping rough
They are pushed to the social fringes the young people society disown
Ignored by the Government Bureaucracies and to the Police only known.
Who could envy them their existence those born into cruel circumstance
The Gods are completely against them of success they do not stand a chance
For them life is such a great battle they must battle their ghosts of despair
They don't even dream of the good life to them life is very unfair.
You who waffle on of life's choices with you talk is always so cheap
Bet you were not homeless at thirteen and on a park bench had to sleep
You would not talk of life's choices if you had to steal for to eat
If you felt alone and abandoned like the children of Poverty Street.

when we were first time emergent teenagers
my friends used social bond feel good drugs
teenage ties click friend stratum social bonds
acceptance is a prime in teenage friend cycles
I never did weed nor allure hard drugs
I used alcohol spirits to quiet raw flames
I never did weed nor hard trendy drugs
I was the drug burning body fuel to flames
