I now proceed to demonstrate that the Mexicans are wholly incapable of self-government, and that our liberties, our fortunes and our lives are insecure so long as we are connected with them.

Seeking Less Government In Their Lives
The majority of the people
Rush to have their liberties quoted
As stated within the framework
Of the constitution
At yet
These liberties representing the same people
Are said to interfere too much
In the lives they wish to live
People are seeking less government in their lives
But it is the government they run to
To protest their entitlements
Are not being represented as documented
And those they elect
Are eventually despised
For not implementing those policies
Created to describe standards and precious values

So Connected To You
There are times when I'm happy
and times when I'm sad
and all of these times that I have had
are all connected to you,
so connected to you.
so connected to you.
There are times when it's sunny
and times when it's not
and all of these times I never forgot
were all connected to you,
so connected to you.
'Cause you have my heart on a string
and I can't control one little thing.
Where's my composure? Where did it go?
'Can't even answer for I don't know.
There are times when I'm jumpy
and times when I'm still
and times when I'm playful
like Jack and Jill.
And they're all connected to you,
so connected to you.
So what do I do to get over you?
You've got me crazy in love with you.
I take a step forward and fall back two
and everywhere that I go
there'll be times when I want you
and times when I don't.
There'll be times that I'll have you
and times that I won't
but there's absolutely nothing I can do
'Cause I'm connected to you,
so connected to you
So I know we can never be through.

Connected To Politics
Am I political?
That's a strange question to ask,
By someone who also pays.
Religiously,
A tax of some kind to the government.
And those who express,
They want the government.
Out of their lives,
Only do so to hear their own voices.
Now.
If you had asked 'if' I was upset,
Because my taxes paid.
Has not increased my quality of life,
We both would be in agreement.
And on the same page!
Wouldn't we?
Am I political?
Every human being walking this Earth,
Is connected to politics.
Whether they vote, emote or become provoked,
Somebody with political ties.
Will not hide they are trying to get into their pockets.

Until An Urgent Need Confessed
Everyone seems to request less government,
In their lives.
Until Mother Nature comes along to remind them,
Every aspect of their lives the government is present.
And has more of an affect than their closest relative,
Can apply with such effect to go unnoticed.
Or a friend now and then who may disappoint,
Until an urgent need confessed has been expressed.
And can not be avoided.
No matter who thinks a voting with a choice,
For them will make a difference.
'Why are they taking so long...
Without my needs being immediately addressed? '

Cheering What Has Been Defeated
Why are the people in the streets,
Cheering?
'They are cheering the news,
Recently learned...
That what they wanted to achieve,
Has been defeated! '
They are cheering that what they wanted,
Has been defeated?
'Yes!
And even though they have great admiration,
For their new leader...
And he has been an advocate for their cause,
He represents the government.
And they have been very vocal,
About having the government out of their lives.'
But...
What aspect of their lives,
Has not been controlled by the government?
'That's besides the point.
They have come to exercise their First Amendment Rights.'
Yeah...
But,
Aren't all of those 'amendments' government controlled?
And initiated?
'Hey...
What can I say?
I'm an outsider looking in just like you.
Even though everyone gathered at this rally,
Has throughout their lives been attached to the government...
They have become overwhelmed with joy,
That 'something'...
Whatever it was that had the support of 'this' president,
Would be defeated.
Even though it would have ultimately,
Benefitted all of their lives.'
That doesn't make too much sense.
In fact,
On the scale of 'stupidity'...
That sits right at the top!
'You know that.
I know that.
They however...
Haven't a clue! '
Where is their beloved leader now?
'He's the one standing alone,
Leaning against that fence over there...
Chain smoking! '

Representing Their Needs
This hour...
It is proclaimed,
Government is wanted,
Out of their lives!
The previous hour...
It had been exclaimed,
The government is not doing enough...
To correct the downslide experienced,
In their lives.
And as this hour comes to a close...
They have decided,
Those in government representing their needs...
Are not listening effectively.
And have chosen to replace those elected to lead.

Without a Common Sense Represented
So many make claims...
They do not wish the government,
To play a role in their personal lives!
It is said the government already has,
Too much of a control.
And this 'they' despise.
Although everyone pays taxes.
And elect politicians,
To represent their interests.
Everyone wants the police,
To come to their aid when this pleases.
Have teachers teach their children.
Even the ones who skip and don't come.
They want better jobs to pay for mortgage and/or rent.
And desire their 'tender' offenses assume,
Protected by soldiers on other lands to defend...
From terrorists and other threatening improvisations.
So many make claims...
They do not wish the government,
To play a role in their personal lives!
It is said the government already has,
Too much of a control.
And this 'they' despise.
With fantasies intact.
And demands they come alive!
And from birth they are now issued,
Social security numbers.
Immunizations to protect them from disease.
And still they say it is the government...
From their lives they wish would leave!
Without a common sense represented amongst them.
How can such hypocrisy be sustained?
When those in the know...
Realize more oxygen,
Is needed to feed those of disconnected brains.
Since a massive amnesia has too long been effective.
How can reality ever in them be injected?
'President Obama? '
~Hey...
Don't look at me!
I'm doing the best I can,
To keep my hair from getting grayer.~

Do we believe that the goal of government is to promote equal opportunity for all Americans to make the most of their lives? Or, do we now believe that government's role is to equalize the results of peoples lives?
Dummified Ignoramuses
On one side of their mouths...
They say government is too much in their lives.
On the other side of these same flapping lips...
They claim government isn't quick enough,
To protect their rights when the going gets tough.
And when these same folks make foolish decisions,
They demand from the government...
Bail out funds to keep them afloat.
Yet they do not want the deficits to rise,
On their aging sinking boat!
And they cry that the government is there,
To help them to survive!
While criticizing those they have ostracized...
Who call them dummified ignoramuses.
Spoiled by a way of life delusioned,
That has been catered too long and much fantasized!
Leaving them empty in the head.
Very lazy and thick of backside!

Desperate Remedies
Seek the perfect race your knowledge you provide
Is this a worthwhile cause or just genocide?
Torment and despair alone and cast aside
No sympathetic ears to hear their cries
No justice in their world
Competence is no excuse for ignorance
Blameless yet their death has no significance
Sorrow and emotion are a consequence
Their eyes forever closed and you ask why
No justice in their world
Taking liberties with other people's lives
Testing theories to their demise
Could this be--desperate remedies
Fundamental thoughts you try to satisfy
The exception proves the rule and that you verify
This work in time of peace you cannot justify
The only words you ever speak are lives
No justice in their world
Taking liberties with other people's lives
Testing theories to their demise
Could this be--desperate remedies

But how long will this peace last
The night that peace comes
torches are launched into the sky
like stars
to glide hanging to the ground
and as far as I look
I see fireworks near and far,
but how long will this peace last?
Nelson Mandela walks out of jail
and there are people cheering
and dancing from joy
and some think
that now they are totally free,
but how long will this peace last?
His rainbow nation disappears
into the naught
and although the sun still shines
work are reserved for some
and people begin to leave the country
while others from all over Africa stream in
and South Africans are jobless,
but how long will this peace last?
There are incapable people getting positions
and the country goes years back
and murder and killings
are totally out of control
and the police are powerless
to stop it,
but how long will this peace last?
The government takes legal firearms in
while crime spreads wider
and the state are trying to control lives
more and more
and corruption, fraud, rape,
murder and robbery
happens every day,
but how long will this peace last?
l’Envoi
The slaughter of black on white
and robbery are urged on
and reverse racism
talked good
and the country is in chaos
with incapables controlling it
and the dilapidation nobody can stop
but how long will this peace last
before the country
gets another hell of a war?

What I Once Believe When I Was Young
idealism was the first thing i believe in
that the good triumphs
that the bad at the end is vanguished and buried
the corrupt is hanged and the people shall clap their hands
while the flag flies
in the free air, while the women dance in our liberties
while the men take pride
in the wars that they have fought and won,
that justice prevails
that the criminal is always caught and put to jail because
crime does not pay,
that the rich may soon become poor because in accordance with the
cycle of fortunes
no one is poor forever
that the only possibility of those who are up is always to go down
then one day i notice some white locks of hair in my head
my lips crack, my cheeks have wrinkles and my forehead has
a number of furroughs
my skin dry, my nose falling on my chin,
the changes, oh, the changes,
in myself have become the
inevitable,
and then, all of the sudden, the idealism is gone,
like how government is toppled by another government
like how a charismatice leader is shot and another
seemingly charismatic leader takes the reigns,
only to find
one robber displacing another robber
and this keeps on happening for years, until one day
i find myself standing in one corridor staring to the space beyond me
to the far mountain to some grey skies
it looks it will rain all day in my life
i look at myself in the mirror
to find this ugliness in myself and in everything else
it is dark, it is what we call a nice evening and then we do nothing
but turn off the light and sleep
