You 'Are' An Accomplice
You 'are' an accomplice!
If you've ever advocated hatred,
With a division that inspires.
And you've expressed a choice,
To have certain voices unrepresented...
In the mix as they wish,
To live and be as they see fit.
You 'are' an accomplice,
To an uprising of violence...
Chaos and confusing conflict.
You 'are' an accomplice,
If there has been an increase...
Of hunger and homelessness,
On city streets.
With a rise of apartheid,
Excused and dismissed.
Oh you 'are' an accomplice to all of it!
If your choice has been to choose,
To ignore the suffering and abuse...
Of your fellow human beings,
Seen as victims of misdeeds...
Implemented with such ease.
You 'are' an accomplice.
You just refuse to admit it.
If you enjoy a life that is loved and liked,
That is not afforded to everyone...
Because of your own selfish preferences,
You wish to highlight.
You 'are' an accomplice,
If you deny similar appetites.
Whether you are in debate with interests,
With others satiating their familiar greed.
Or whether you are secretly in discreet...
Sabotaging someone unknown,
Passed upon urban streets.
But there you are seen greeting...
In the backyards of those,
Not aware of your ideologies.
Or your plans to impose.
You 'are' an accomplice...
Whether or not you agree.
You 'are' an accomplice,
If there has been an increase...
Of hunger and homelessness.
On city streets.
And a rise of apartheid,
Excused and dismissed.
You 'are' an accomplice to all of it!
How can one be a part...
But yet declare not to be,
A product of the whole?
How can one eliminate,
A sentence read from an epic.
To declare it to be insignificant,
To the outcome and the plot!
Believe it or not...
Every piece of the epic read,
Determines the deliciousness...
Or the tastelessness perceived,
Stirred in that pot.
Believe it or not!

Everything between us is black
A black sleep near to death
surrounds me and everything between you and me,
while police patrol cars
with flashing lights and sirens
are parking outside the yard
and you are at your lover’s house.
They are here to lock handcuffs around my wrists,
send by the lies that you trumpet forth
and when I only allow one policeman
to come into the yard
while your white policeman lover with the others
have to wait outside the yard
the lot of them are raging mad
as I threaten
to take legal action against them
and that one black policeman
finds your drugged out child
where he is sleeping,
learn from him
that they have come in vain
and that you are making arses of them and me,
he searches through the house
and I send the whole lot of them to hell
where they can go and crawl back in
and there’s death
like a deep dark grave,
where at a time
I had love for you
and my memory fades, about our gloomy story
of which now nothing remains
but for the realization
that your departure was my actual salvation
and between us everything is black,
all meaning has been wiped out eternally.

Ice Cold Sweet Tea
vs.1 As I sit on the bench beside our tree,
I can't help but think about you and me.
As the wind picks up and blows my hair,
I can't help but wish that you were there
~Holding my hand, holding me close,
Telling me I'm what you love the most~
(chorus)
But now I'm sitting by myself,
Trying not to cry,
No one else could cheer me up,
No matter how hard they try.
I've lost you to someone else,
And my heart is on my sleeve.
If there's one thing I miss the most,
It's our ice cold sweet tea.
vs.2 Even though it's hard on my heart,
To think about what you did to tear me apart,
I don't regret the feelings I had for you,
But I wish that I could forget those, too.
~Holding my hand, holding me close,
Telling me I'm what you love the most~
(chorus)
(instrumental)
vs.3 I sat on our bench everyday,
My best guy friend came to say
'I don't know why you do this but I understand.
However, I should tell you-' and he took my hand,
and said, 'I wanna hold your hand, I wanna hold you close,
I wanna give you forever 'cause you're what I love the most! '
(chorus 2)
So now I'm sitting on his lap,
With his arms holding me close,
He's the one who cheered me up,
When I thought there was no one else.
I've gained the best thing ever,
And although it's hard to believe,
I have somebody better,
And we have better ice cold sweet tea.
Yeah, there's no one else better but him
For drinkin' ice cold sweet tea :)

Same Thing Happened To Me
Moonlight shining on the back of my hand
Cat fight rattlin the garbage can
Looks like somethin chased you up a tree
Same thing, same thing happened to me
Wild wind blowing down the neck of my shirt
Old men sitting on a bench in the dirt
Seems that another ship has gone out to sea
Same thing, same thing happened to me
Shoe shine someones got to tell ya the news
A fine line separates a boy from the blues
Looks like you could use some company
Same thing, same thing happened to me
Runnin, runnin just as fast as I can
Someone, someone take a hold of my hand
Looks like somethin chased you up a tree
Same thing, same thing happened to me
Same thing, same thing happened to me.

Policeman
Everyday he wakes up
As his bare feet hit the floor
Grabs a cup of coffee
Straps his magnum on once more
Feeds the cat he lives with
Since his wife walked out the door
In nine years hell retire with a pension
Everyday he suffers
cause he sees all kinds of pain
Sometimes feels helpless
In a world thats gone insane
Then he wins a battle
It restores his faith again
Its only human kindness he is after
He is a policeman, you know
All the years and nothing to show
He is a policeman, you know
Every night he comes home
With a sixpack all alone
Feeds the cat he lives with
He picks up the telephone
Needs to talk with someone
But the only love hes known
Was lost forever, he is a policeman
He is a policeman, you know
All the years and nothing to show
He is a policeman, you know
All the years and nothing to show

Bad Company
Company, always on the run
Destiny is the rising sun
I was born six gun in my hand
Behind the gun I make my final stand
That's why they call me
Bad company, I can't deny
Bad, bad company
'Til the day I die
Rebel soul, deserters we are called
Chose a gun and threw away the sword
Now these towns, they all know our names
Six gun sound is our claim to fame
I can hear 'em say
Bad company, and I won't deny
Bad, bad company
'Til the day I die

The Goods Gone
I know when Ive had enough
When I think your love is rough
Chorus:
The goods gone
The goods gone
The goods gone
The goods gone
The goods gone out of our love
I know its wrong
We should enjoy it, but
The goods gone
The goods gone
Once we used to get along
Now, each time we kiss, its wrong
(chorus)
Now it aint no fun
And the goods gone now
We used to love as one
But we have forgotten now
I know when Ive had enough
When I think your love is rough
(chorus)
Its gone forever

The Touch Of Your Hand
On the day that you were born
I touched your hand so chubby and warm.
I touched your hand when you were one
and helped you walk my beautiful son.
I held your hand when you were two.
We ran, your favorite thing to do.
I held your hand when you were three
as you climbed on my lap and smiled at me.
I touched your hand when you were four
as the ocean touched our toes at the shore.
I touched your hand when you were five
walking you to school but when we'd arrive
I felt the tug of your hand from mine
and I knew that we had crossed a line.
I looked at you and released your hand
and said'it's okay I understand.'
As I walked back home I cried some tears
thinking of all our hand holding years.
Holding your hand became sporadic now,
when you were feverish or I felt your brow.
I held your hand a few times as a teen
but always alone so it wouldn't be seen.
I held your hand after you said, 'I do.'
We danced together just me and you.
After some years went by my son
you held the hand of your little one.
And so the times of your life turn around
and now that my hand is old I've found
you take my hand and help me walk
and as you do we intimately talk.
And it takes me back to that bright early morn
when I held your hand so chubby and warm.

Sack Owoe
Always screaming cause Im suffering so
Lifes done never such a terrible blow
Thing Im in is just a sack owoe
Misery company and Im feeling low
Trouble follows me wherever I go
Thing Im in is just a sack owoe
Trouble one thing I understand
Seems to be a part of me
Misery and me go hand in hand
Never ever let me be
Sure as Im born one thing I know
Thing Im in is just a sack owoe
Repeat first and second verse

Everyone Wants A Home
Everyone wants a home,
a place of rest and tranquillity,
to lay down a tired body in the evening,
where there is only peace and love,
everyone searches for somewhere to come back to,
for a place in the whole universe,
as a small piece of property
where no shadows fall.
Everyone searches for a piece of sun
that always burns in the blue sky
and if we could
for the hand of a darling
and far too quickly our days pass
until all things at a time ends.

Thela Hun Ginjeet
Well, first of all,
I couldnt even see his face.
I couldnt see his face.
He was holding a gun in his hand.
Umm... I was thinking...
This is a dangerous place..
This is a dangerous place..
I said, Im nervous as hell from this stuff.
I thought those guys were going to kill me for sure.
They ganged up on me like that.
I couldnt believe it.
Look, Im still shakin.
Weird.
There out in the streets like that.
Its a dangerous place.
Its a dangerous place.
So, suddenly, these two guys appear in front of me.
They stopped.
Real aggressive.
Start at me, you know.
Whats that? whats that on that tape?
What do you got there?
I said, huh?
They said, what are you talking into that for?
I said, its just a tape, you know
Well play it for me
I said oh, no
I put it off as long as I could.
And finally they turned it on, you know
They grabbed it from me.
Took it away from me.
Turned it on.
And it said, he held a gun in his hand. this is a dangerous place.
They said, what dangerous place? what gun? youre a policeman!
And the deeper I talked, the worse I got into it.
I talked, I told him... I said, look man, Im not talkin....
It went on forever.
Anyway, I finally unbuttoned my shirt, and said,
Look, look... Im in this band, you know, Im in this band you know,
And were makin a recording, you know.
Its about new york city, its about crime in the streets...
The explanation was going nowhere, but,
Finally, they just kinda let me go, I dont know why.
So I walk around the corner,
And Im like shakin like a leaf,
And I thought, this is a dangerous place
Who should appear, but two policeman.

Stop Thief!
Policeman, policeman,
Help me please.
Someone went and stole my knees.
I’d chase him down but I suspect
My feet and legs just won’t connect.

Billy's Policeman
I knew a policeman once
And this is true as it ever could be
Who made me feel an awful dunce;
'Cos I lost my dad, and it frightened me.
He came and took me by the hand
'Well, now,' said he; 'young fella-me-lad,
No need to cry, I understand.
You'll soon be back with mummy and dad.'
I knew the big policeman well
Before he'd talked the teeniest while.
Such a lot of things he had to tell;
And he had the cheeriest, merriest smile.
I've got a nipper at home like you
So high, young fella-me-lad,' he said.
And all at once - as true as true
I forgot to cry, and I laughed instead.
And then the big policeman said:
'Ho, that's the stuff for the troops, old son!'
The funniest things came into his head;
And I laughed and laughed at every one.
And when they found my mummy and dad,
And he patted my head and said good-bye.
Somehow or other I felt quite sad;
But I knew he'd be sorry to see me cry.
I know that all policemen now
Are just like that, and it's silly to think
They frown and bully and make a row,
Why, you ought to have seen my merry one wink!
And when I pass where he has his beat,
When I'm out for a walk with mummy and dad,
I wave to my big friend in the street,
'What Ho,' says he, 'young fella-me-lad.'

Career Changing Incident
The policeman helped
arrest a man and put him
in the squad car.
The man's dog, mad with fear,
ran behind the car, mile after
mile. He was hit at an
intersection. Subsequently
he was healed, but the incident
caused the policeman to resign
from a job which did not allow
him his own conscience.

No Thanks Is Needed
It is a good feeling
when you help someone in distress,
impart on them the knowledge
that you have gained.
You feel a great satisfaction
and no thanks is needed.
You are doing something
we should all do at times,
holding out our hand and helping another.
Each of us has been given a gift
and it is how we use that gift
which is the important thing.
If we use that gift
to import happiness into someone’s life
making them feel better within themselves.
How wonderful we feel
whenever they smile with satisfaction
knowing they have done something
to make a dream come true.
We need no thanks for this,
as it is what everyone should do.
Holding out a helping hand
no matter how far it has to stretch
and we can then rest on these words.
Do onto others, as you would
have them do onto you.
