Must every shore ring boldly to the voice
Of sweet poetic harmony, save this?

Gather thy infant bands, and rise to join
Thy glimmering taper to the holy flame:—
Such honour, if no other, may be thine.
Shall Gallia's children sing beneath the yoke?

Why America
America, America you don't know me,
But dear America I know you.
I see you in the faces of young people,
I watch you sleep in your crib at night.
I hear your voice in the crowded streets,
I taste your soul in the resturants at dinner time.
Why America have you forgotten about us?
You got too big and you left us behind.
Not thinking about the little man,

The presidential race is on

History is made when the race is won
The President is about to be displaced
These words are spoken with a lightface
In this little head, thoughts fight for space
Looking for evidence and clues to trace
Who can outpace?
Who can outrace?
Who can deliver not grass but grace?
As the president is about to be replaced
The agenda could be gender
In a political race of all races
The winner could be older and bolder

Who does America embrace?
Which candidates do the people erase?
