Every time I think of what you pulled me through, dear

Great Are The Myths

GREAT are the myths--I too delight in them;
Great are Adam and Eve--I too look back and accept them;
Great the risen and fallen nations, and their poets, women, sages,
inventors, rulers, warriors, and priests.
Great is Liberty! great is Equality! I am their follower;
Helmsmen of nations, choose your craft! where you sail, I sail,
I weather it out with you, or sink with you.

Great is Youth--equally great is Old Age--great are the Day and
Night;
Great is Wealth--great is Poverty--great is Expression--great is
Silence.

Youth, large, lusty, loving--Youth, full of grace, force,
fascination!
Do you know that Old Age may come after you, with equal grace, force,
fascination? 10

Day, full-blown and splendid--Day of the immense sun, action,
ambition, laughter,
The Night follows close, with millions of suns, and sleep, and
restoring darkness.

Wealth, with the flush hand, fine clothes, hospitality;
But then the Soul's wealth, which is candor, knowledge, pride,
enfolding love;
(Who goes for men and women showing Poverty richer than wealth?)

Expression of speech! in what is written or said, forget not that
Silence is also expressive,
That anguish as hot as the hottest, and contempt as cold as the
coldest, may be without words.

Great is the Earth, and the way it became what it is;
Do you imagine it has stopt at this? the increase abandon'd?
Understand then that it goes as far onward from this, as this is from
the times when it lay in covering waters and gases, before man
had appear'd. 20

Great is the quality of Truth in man;
The quality of truth in man supports itself through all changes,
It is inevitably in the man--he and it are in love, and never leave
each other.

The truth in man is no dictum, it is vital as eyesight;
If there be any Soul, there is truth--if there be man or woman there
is truth--if there be physical or moral, there is truth;
If there be equilibrium or volition, there is truth--if there be
things at all upon the earth, there is truth.

O truth of the earth! I am determin'd to press my way toward you;
Sound your voice! I scale mountains, or dive in the sea after you.

Great is Language--it is the mightiest of the sciences,
It is the fulness, color, form, diversity of the earth, and of men
and women, and of all qualities and processes; 30
It is greater than wealth--it is greater than buildings, ships,
religions, paintings, music.

Great is the English speech--what speech is so great as the English?
Great is the English brood--what brood has so vast a destiny as the
English?
It is the mother of the brood that must rule the earth with the new
rule;
The new rule shall rule as the Soul rules, and as the love, justice,
equality in the Soul rule.

Great is Law--great are the few old land-marks of the law,
They are the same in all times, and shall not be disturb'd.

Great is Justice!
Justice is not settled by legislators and laws--it is in the Soul;
It cannot be varied by statutes, any more than love, pride, the
attraction of gravity, can; 40
It is immutable--it does not depend on majorities--majorities or what
not, come at last before the same passionless and exact
tribunal.

For justice are the grand natural lawyers, and perfect judges--is it
in their Souls;
It is well assorted--they have not studied for nothing--the great
includes the less;
They rule on the highest grounds--they oversee all eras, states,
administrations.

The perfect judge fears nothing--he could go front to front before
God;
Before the perfect judge all shall stand back--life and death shall
stand back--heaven and hell shall stand back.

Great is Life, real and mystical, wherever and whoever;
Great is Death--sure as life holds all parts together, Death holds
all parts together.

Has Life much purport?--Ah, Death has the greatest purport.

Fascination

No escaping
No spell is over me
Fantasy's fact you see in my life

Time and motion
Seem to have made a stop
And if the whole world passes by
I wouldn't bat an eye

If you say you were mine

Fascination all I do is
Fascination dream of you

Such devotion
I've never felt before
You opened up a door in my life

No tomorrow
Could there be without you
And if you should say goodbye
I think that I would die

Fascination all I do is
Fascination dream of you

I can't think about anything else
But you

There's nothing I can do
Oh no

Physical Fascination

Hi!
I got to go, get aboard attack a love jet
Heaven and back
My- my-my-my-my-my-my
And I got to find a power station with a beat
I cant take no conversation
My-my-my-my-my-my-my
Looking for the inspiration
All succumb to the physical fascination
All succumb to the physical fascination
Hi!
Shake shake it up, this love divine
Youre out of touch, babe
Im going out of my mind
My-my-my-my-my-my-mind
Talk to me! why dont you talk to me?
Cmon and use your body language
And have yourself a good time
My-my- my-my-my-my-my
And radiate your sweet temptation
All succumb to the physical fascination
All succumb to the physical fascination
And radiate your sweet temptation
All succumb to the physical fascination
All succumb to the physical fascination
I said: all succumb to the physical fascination
And all surrender to the physical fascination
Yea yea yea yea

I want u
Fascination
I want u, I do
Fascination chamber lands on the round that kills
The art u hoped 2 mirror like
Leaves blood upon the sill
The dream u keep dreaming, is better than the life u lead
The papers run out a day and 13 hours, b4 the weed, its so high
Fascination
Still I want u
Fascination
Still I want u, I do
The head u thought was rolling, is now reason 2 b bored
The rapper that gave that head will thank his manager b4 the lord
And the headache that u moan about feels much better than the treatment would
The pills gonna leave a side effect
Thatll take another pill 2 correct
And the whole thing is leaving u feeling less than good
And u still high

Fascination
Fascination
Fascination
Do u mind if I just watch u shake it
Shake it {4x}

I want u
Fascination
I want u, I do
The most vital thing u thought
Is the epitome of doom
U can wake-up in cold sweat
Cause 1 of them is in ure room
Singin on the tele
Making more bucks than sense
So called king gives birth 2 so called ... prince
A breakups bitter taste
Still here when the love is gone
And the breaks u wish 4
Finally comes among in song
Working it out
Work, work, work, working it out

Fascination

It was fascination
I know
And it might have ended
Right then, at the start
Just a passing glance
Just a brief romance
And I might have gone
On my way
Empty hearted
It was fascination
I know
Seeing you alone
With the moonlight above
Then I touch your hand
And next moment
I kiss you
Fascination turned to love
It was fascination
I know
Seeing you alone
With the moonlight above
Then I touch your hand
And next moment
I kiss you
Fascination turned - to - love

William Shakespeare

A Madrigal

Crabbed Age and Youth
Cannot live together:
Youth is full of pleasance,
Age is full of care;
Youth like summer morn,
Age like winter weather;
Youth like summer brave,
Age like winter bare:
Youth is full of sports,
Age's breath is short,
Youth is nimble, Age is lame:
Youth is hot and bold,
Age is weak and cold,
Youth is wild, and Age is tame:-
Age, I do abhor thee;
Youth, I do adore thee;
O! my Love, my Love is young!
Age, I do defy thee-
O sweet shepherd, hie thee,
For methinks thou stay'st too long.

Youth is power; youth is vigour;
Youth is initiative; youth is revolutionary;
Youth is dedication; youth is freedom;
Youth is love; youth is passion.
Yes, because youth is blind
Out of them elders make winds

Never wanna be an adult
Always wanna be in revolt
Youth youth youth

Don't wanna spend my life saving up for things
Don't wanna have what a steady job brings
I don't want security
Don't want responsibility
Don't wanna stay at home not making any noise
I've always got to be out
I've always got to have a choice
I don't want security
Don't want responsibility

I don't want no uniform

Lusty Youth should us ensue

1 Lusty Youth should us ensue.
2 His merry heart shall sure all rue.
3 For whatsoever they do him tell,
4 It is not for him, we know it well.

5 For they would have him his Liberty refrain
6 And all merry company for to disdain,
7 But I will not so whatsoever they say,
8 But follow his mind in all that we may.

9 How should Youth himself best use
10 But all disdainers for to refuse?
11 Youth has, as chief assurance,
12 Honest Mirth with Virtue's pastance.

13 For in them consisteth great honour,
14 Though that disdainers would therein put error,
15 For they do sue to get them grace
16 All only riches to purchase.

17 With Good Order, Counsel, and Equity,
18 Good Lord, grant us our mansion to be!
19 For without their good guidance
20 Youth should fall in great mischance.

21 For Youth is frail and prompt to do,
22 As well vices as virtues to ensue.
23 Wherefore by these he must be guided
24 And Virtue's pastance must be therein used.

25 Now unto God this prayer we make,
26 That this rude play may well be take,
27 And that we may our faults amend,
28 An bliss obtain at our last end.
Amen.

Age considers, youth ventures

Age visualizes, youth dreams

Age makes theories, youth experiments

Age sees people, youth sees places

Age knows belongings, youth discovers them

Age pains to gain, youth gains to others' pain

Age has heart, youth has mind

Age is thoughtful, youth is tactful

Age ponders, youth wonders

Age recounts, youth counts

Age is experienced, youth is in experience

Age is cautious, youth dashes

Age floats, youth swims

Youth

Mood of youth,
Mood of youth,
Eagle-like must seek the blue,
Dauntlessly its course pursue,
All the mountain-heights must view.
Blood of youth,
Blood of youth,
Steam-like puts full-speed to sea,
E'en though storm and ice there be,
Makes its way and romps in glee.
Dream of youth,
Dream of youth,
Rogue-like stealing sets its snare
In the maiden's morning-prayer;
All the springtime, fragrant, glowing,
In its airy waves is flowing.
Joy of youth,
Joy of youth,
Waterfall-like foams in truth,
Laughing, rainbow-gifts forth flashing,
Even while to death 't is dashing.
Joy of youth,
Dream of youth,
Blood of youth,
Mood of youth,
Clothe the world with colors golden,
Singing songs that never olden.

Youth Dream Purchase Price Paid

youth dreams full of testosterone
impatience desires action completion
now now now youth is life trying

youth is working for other people
youth is working with other people
youth is learning about other people

in changing challenging life context
enjoy it or frustrated with it a lot
but at the same time youth screaming

to break out and be able to do own thing

the majority of the work force
probably feels this ghost echo
definitely crisis mix sometimes

few people get to do exactly
what they want to do
all or even most of the time

employment is necessity
unless rich financially
care free freedom independent

the less capital qualifications
the more compromise
due to lack of opportunities

working for others
is a good chance
to learn from their expertise

mistakes management
staff interaction
all necessary important

skills learn everything
you can while waiting
for your own dreams

an important
knowledge skills
career with many

interactive fields
of acquired knowledge
waits over horizons

Youth In Embers

My mirror is troubled, tired of lying to me
My youth is gone, life torn and tattered no longer to be
Like quenching flames that dance suffocating in the rain
Just the agony, pain and regrets of past years reflect again

Is there a way I thought to throw my ashen cloak
And start my life anew under different clock
Yet the flames of my youth shall never leap and burn
Time flows on me so cruelly with no return

So many winters have besieged my life, quizzes out of grace
And dug deep trenches in my face
My skin is dying, dry, dots and spots, brittle and blasted away
Youth proud of lusty days, against now deep-sunken eyes of decay

For years I stopped birthdays and calendar count to tell my time
As the brave day sinks into a hideous foul night
I watch the shy violet behind a rock that year by year renews its prime
My youth in embers, like ashes all bleak white

In the spirit of Rumi 57: Grace

But what is grace?

By grace we were as we were.
By grace we are as we are.
By grace we shall be as we will be.

That's grace.

But what is grace?

Grace is what it does.
Catch it as it acts; smiles; passes.
That too is grace.

The Death Of The First Born

COVER him over with daisies white,
And eke with the poppies red,
Sit with me here by his couch to-night,
For the First-Born, Love, is dead.
Poor little fellow, he seemed so fair
As he lay in my jealous arms;
Silent and cold he is lying there
Stripped of his darling charms.
Lusty and strong he had grown forsooth,
Sweet with an infinite grace,
Proud in the force of his conquering youth,
Laughter alight in his face.
Oh, but the blast, it was cruel and keen,
And ah, but the chill it was rare;
The look of the winter-kissed flow'r you've seen
When meadows and fields were bare.
Can you not wake from this white, cold sleep
And speak to me once again?
True that your slumber is deep, so deep,
But deeper by far is my pain.
Cover him over with daisies white,
And eke with the poppies red,
Sit with me here by his couch to-night,
For the First-Born, Love, is dead.

Nobody ever.....

In his youth, his callow empty youth
his eyes were misty.
He learnt about sex from Cindy,
but nobody ever, no, nobody ever,
taught him how to love.

In his youth, his callow empty youth
his pockets were full.
He drank, he smoked, he learned to use a gun
but they never, no, nobody ever
taught him how to have fun.

In his youth, his callow empty youth
his wits were sharp.
He learnt to duck and dive and to deceive
but they never, no, nobody ever
taught him what it is to really live.

His Youth

Dying? I am not dying. Are you mad?
You think I need to ask for heavenly grace?
\I\ think \you\ are a fiend, who would be glad
To see me struggle in death's cold embrace.

'But, man you lie! for I am strong-in truth
Stronger than I have been in years; and soon
I shall feel young again as in my youth,
My glorious youth-life's one great priceless boon.

'O youth, youth, youth! O God, that golden time,
When proud and glad I laughed the hours away.
Why, there's no sacrifice (perhaps no crime)
I'd pause at, could it make me young to-day.

'But I'm not \old\! I grew-just ill, somehow;
Grew stiff of limb, and weak, and dim of sight.
It was but sickness. I am better now,
Oh, vastly better, ever since last night.

'And I could weep warm floods of happy tears
To think my strength is coming back at last,
For I have dreamed of such an hour for years,
As I lay thinking of my glorious past.

'You shake your head? Why, man, if you were sane
I'd strike you to my feet, I would, in truth.
How dare you tell me that my hopes are vain?
How dare you say I have outlived my youth?

''In heaven I may regain it?' Oh, be still!
I want no heaven but what my glad youth gave.
Its long, bright hours, its rapture and its thrill-
O youth, youth, youth! it is my \youth\ I crave.

'There is no heaven! There's nothing but a deep
And yawning grave from which I shrink in fear.
I am not sure of even rest or sleep;
Perhaps we lie and \think\, as I have here.

'Think, think, think, think, as we lie there and rot,
And hear the young above us laugh in glee.
How dare you say I'm dying! \I am not\.
I would curse God if such a thing could be.

'Why, see me stand! why, hear this strong, full breath-
Dare you repeat that silly, base untruth?'
A cry-a fall-the silence known as death
Hushed his wild words. Well, has he found his youth?

A Poem to Honor St. Valentine

If youth could age's wisdom ken,
& age could know youth's fire again
or age could Old Time's hands turn back
T'would then be youth with time to spend
& wisdom's strengths on which to depend.
This said, t'is never just white or black
For youth doth all discretion lack
& age tho' willing & desirous to play
To youth's vitality must passion give way
& such a conflict therein lies
for age is by youth most oft despised
& youth by age oft seen to whine,
“please, won't you be my valentine?”
