Running Water
Time hurries on
Look and its gone
The changing of the autumn tide
The hopes that live
The dreams that die
If I could have you by my side
Id give it all away
You you and i
We must hold on
We must try
To reach beyond that far off cloud
Along the road were travellin now
If I could only show you how
I need you there with me
Oh running water
Dont care what people say
We live to love another day
Oh running water
Dont throw your love away
We live to love another day
Time hurries on
Turn around and its gone
If only we could hold that dream
If only life was what it seemed
I know my darling what you mean
Ive seen it slip away
Oh running water
Dont care what people say
We live to love another day
Oh running water
Dont throw your love away
We live to love another day

Dancing In The Dark
Dancind in the dark
Till the tune ends where dancing in the dark
And it soon ends we're waltzing in the wonder of why we're here
Time hurries by were here and gone
Looking for the light
Of a new love to brighten up the night
I have knew love and we can face the music together
Dancing in the dark
What though love is old
What though song is old
Though them we can be young
Hear this heart of mind
Make your's part of mind
Dear one tell me that we're one
We're waltzing in the wonder of why we're here
Time hurries by we're here and gone
We're looking for the light
Of a new love to brighten up the night
I have knew love and we can face the music together

Long Summer Days
(Justin Hayward)
Long summer days, I keep thinking
What to do with my time
So many ways, I keep sinking
What's to do with my time
Take me back, I don't mind
(Take me back) I've got time
(Take me back) and let me start again
Time hurries by, I keep thinking
What's to do in our time
Don't let it by, just keep thinking
What's to do in our time
Take me back, I don't mind
(Take me back) I've got time
(Take me back) and let me start again
Utopia's within our sight (Utopia)
Don't kick it or we lose it
Though you think the world's too fast
It's that way 'cause we choose it
Automation is the cry (Automation)
Our minds have been forgotten
To understand me, you must try
My thoughts are turning rotten
Oh, please, please
Don't mess it up now for me
Please, please
Don't sit there and condemn me
Please, please, please
Long summer days, I keep thinking
What's to do with my time
So many ways, I keep sinking
What's to do with my time
Take me back, I don't mind
(Take me back) I've got time
(Take me back) and let me start again
Ah, ah, ah, ah long summer days

Summer Is Over
(tom springfield / clive westlake)
The night runs away with the day
The grass that was green is now hay
The world goes around without even a sound
And it looks like the summer is over
The rains tumble down in the sky
Young swallows have learned how to fly
The leaves that were green are no longer so green
And it looks like the summer is over
The sun and the moon take turns in the sky
The days drift on by too soon
The meadows are kissed by a cool autumn mist
Far away now is june
The birds fly away to the sun
The leaves touch the ground one by one
The breeze hurries by without even goodbye
And it looks like the summer is over
The sun and the moon take turns in the sky
The days drift on by too soon
The meadows are kissed by a cool autumn mist
Far away now is june
The birds fly away to the sun
The leaves touch the ground one by one
The breeze hurries by without even goodbye
And it looks like the summer is over
And it looks like the summer is over

The Train
A green eye-and a red-in the dark.
Thunder-smoke-and a spark.
It is there-it is here-flashed by.
Whither will the wild thing fly?
It is rushing, tearing thro’ the night,
Rending her gloom in its flight/
It shatters her silence with shrieks,
Where is it the wild thing seeks?
Alas! For it hurries away
Them that are fain to stay.
Hurrah! For it carries home
Lovers and friends that roam.
Where are you, Time and Space?
The world is a little place.
Your reign is over and done,
You are one.

Everything Finished Nothing Begun
Uh-huh yea okay yep
uh-huh yea I hear ya
dont worry no worries
slow down why rush it no hurries
dont mention no mentions
it'll take care of itself
in its own fourth dimension
yes sure yea yea okay
I got it
I'll take care of it
I'll handle it
in my own lazy way
o so plenteous time
but only one long winding day
Ive yet to start
Im already done
everything finished
nothing begun
one long drawn
breath between
life and death
die in the womb
born in a tomb
dead in reality
living a dream
everything in nothing
nothing out of everything
nothing and everything
exactly as it seems

Come, My Lady
Come my lady
Give me your hand
As there is no rest
For a working man
For it is in by a clock
And home late after dark
And no time for my rest
Only time for my work
So come to my table
Bring me my bread
Lay down my dinner
Then I can go to my bed
Give me all your troubles
I will take all your worries
For I am a working man now
Who has no hurries.
So come my lady
Give me some time
For I am a working man now
Who needs some rest
My shoulders are wide
And my troubles are many
I will take all that you got
For now you are my lady.
So come, my lady
And give me a kiss
I am a working man now
Who needs a kiss
So give me a hug
and then some of your love
For I am a working man now
Who cannot get enough.

Another February
It's a non month
that takes me from winter
to early spring.
It sneaks in,
like a mousey spinster,
barren and lonely,
mostly ignored
and then hurries
back to whence it came.
It is the worst month,
dark and dismal,
neither here nor there,
never thought about,
except for its rain.
February, poor February,
its only redemption
is it is swift
and goes quickly on its way.

I know
A busy woodlouse wends his way
across the tiles of black and gray.
A vast expanse beneath the sky
I wonder where he goes and why.
A tiny creature harming none
he journeys on his way alone in danger
from the birds that fly.
I wonder where he goes and why.
Wood lice have no defence at all
except to curl up into a ball.
He hurries on determinedly.
I wonder where he goes and why.
Now he will travel on no more
he has become the breakfast for
a hungry blackbird passing by.
I know where he’s gone and why.

Leaves That Are Green
LEAVES THAT ARE GREEN
(CCDD) CGC/CFG7C/FG7/CGCGC/CGAm/AmFG
I was 21 years when I wrote this song
I'm 22 now, but I won't be for long
Time hurries on
And the leaves that are green turn to brown
And they wither with the wind
And they crumble in your hand
Once my heart was filled with the love of a girl
I held her close, but she faded in the night
Like a poem I meant to write
CHORUS
I through a pebble in a brook
And watched the ripples run away
And they never made a sound
CHORUS
Hello hello hello hello
Goodbye goodbye goodbye goodbye
That's all there is
And the leaves that are green turn to brown

A Nativity
WHAT woman hugs her infant there?
Another star has shot an ear.
What made the drapery glisten so?
Not a man but Delacroix.
What made the ceiling waterproof?
Landor's tarpaulin on the roof
What brushes fly and moth aside?
Irving and his plume of pride.
What hurries out the knaye and dolt?
Talma and his thunderbolt.
Why is the woman terror-struck?
Can there be mercy in that look?

A Date Night
She looks beautiful for their movie date
Flushed, she is running a little late.
Excited to see his beautiful face,
She sees him there and they embrace.
His touch ignites her hidden passion
And she steps back with meek discretion.
She is embarrassed by public displays,
So she hurries inside without delay.
The lights inside slowly dim,
In the dark she catches a little glimpse!
A hand is sneaking on her shoulder
Across her back, moving to hold her.
What's this? !
He doesn't stop it there!
Now his hands are everywhere!
One is running up her thigh,
All she gives is a tiny sigh.
So he moves his hand a little higher.
Now her body is on fire!
The crowd around them are all laughing
At something funny said in passing.
She hardly knows, or even hears them
As his hand finds her breasts and suddenly clears them.
Released from her bra, he goes berserk,
His fingers really go to work!
She feels a delightful, liquid ripple,
As his fingers quite roughly, tug at her nipple.
She really tries to silence her breathing.
Her face is red, her mind is reeling!
Then she feels a delicious hum
Oh my!
She's just about to…..
The crowd starts clapping, there's music, there's light!
It gives her a start and a great big fright.
He starts to laugh as she gains composure
He quickly reclips and hurries to clothe her.
Before anybody would ever guess
What just happened under her dress.
Red faced she scrambles from the theatre
Followed closely by her sexy conspirator
Suddenly there is an urgent race
To find a way back to their place.
He's glad he gets to share his life
With this girl he long ago made his wife.

Power And Children
it does not know how to whistle anymore
that which a mother does when she does not know
when father arrives
during the domestic wars among brothers of the land
it is arrogant and it does not know reason
it kills and hurries to hide its sins
murder and betrayal
without blinking eyes without trembling hands
there is only the constant triggering
bullets flow like water from the rocks
on such sounds of horror
the faces of men are shaped
the hands of children
fragile as a rose
disappear
